I will have to order them next time. One thing about the menu is that Baoz offers many different combo items, but mainly with bahn mi sandwiches and spring rolls. Dumplings are mostly all by themselves. I would love to see a bahn mi/dumpling combo."

Jando S. "My initial draw to Oui Banh Mi was their drive thru, which similarly to Lee's on Bellaire (#1), is a rarity for any Vietnamese based restaurant in Houston. After a number of visits with average experiences, I'm convinced their food is solid in a pinch, but not exactly a go-to option. Given that a good volume of their business is takeout, they've been an ideal pandemic type restaurant. Seating is minimal on the inside, but there's a few booth type areas for those who want to dine in. They seem quite modern overall with a sleek menu and fun mural to boot. The food is a mixed bag. One could argue that it's watered down and/or a tad gringo'y, but it lives to serve the neighborhood. Their namesake banh mi has been the least appealing thing on their menu since the bread was stale and the portions were paltry at best. I've tried their signature chargrilled pork and pate, which had very little of both. The first time I thought it was a mistake but the subsequent visits of skimpy sandwiches made me think otherwise.I think a better route has been their vermicelli noodles, particularly with chicken and egg rolls. The fish sauce isn't that potent, but it is definitely sweet. I do think their Vietnamese iced coffee is a clear winner and the pho should probably be avoided at all costs. Spring rolls are also a gamble at times, since the wrapping isn't always tight, resulting in a limp roll or one that's constantly falling apart.Service has also been a mixed bag. Minus the occasional order snafu, I find the service really depends who's at the counter. The awkward times of ordering in Viet has been met with a bit of pushback, to the point where my party and I stopped saying banh mi all together.Their prices are good for the area and I think the fact they use the Coco mini-robot delivery machines are cool. I don't think I'd completely say no to Oui, but I'm definitely saying peut être (#2)____________(#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/lees-sandwiches-houston(#2) Maybe, perhaps."

Amy D. "3-3.5 stars, but rounding up since their Nem Nướng Cuon is really good for Texas. However, if you're expecting Brodard from Orange County, you'll be disappointed. Once I stopped comparing, I was able to enjoy their nem nướng. We stopped by to pick up some items and called in ahead of time. They weren't busy around 5pm on a Monday, and our order was ready quickly. We tried:-Nem Nướng Cuon (Grilled Pork Spring Rolls, $6, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=t2qmuppJcOX7God9i_AvPQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Pretty good, and they didn't skimp on the meat in the spring rolls. The rolls were a little unevenly rolled, but at least it was tightly rolled. All the ingredients were really fresh. The dipping sauce was a little sweeter than I would have liked, but nothing some sriracha can't fix.-Nem Nướng Cuon (Grilled Pork Spring Rolls) To Go Kit: I can't remember how much this was, but we loved how neatly packaged everything was! We made more spring rolls the next day, and it actually tasted better for some reason. If you're looking for a nem nướng fix in Texas, I would recommend checking out Bodard. They only have indoor dining available at this time, and all their staff that I saw were wearing masks. There were plenty of parking spots available in their shared lot."

But i come here often enough on my lunch break and I don't even need a menu anymore. I love that dish! This time,on my visit,i wanted to try something new. MC F. "The neighborhood gem you've been searching for...Located in an unassuming Kroger strip center, one might expect average, run of the mill mediocre Chinese food, and one would be sorely mistaken. Don't let the simple decor fool you... this Pho is perfection.Halfway through the bowl, you feel how special it is... you know this rich broth was lovingly crafted from scratch, in house, from real bones that have been simmered a full 24 hours. You know it was made from an old, traditional recipe, and you feel lucky you found this bowl... and you don't ever want to live in a world without it. Yes, it's that good. The Yummy Chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the grilled steak (ribeye) hot plate with noodles was outstanding. The steak, prepared Taiwanese style, was tender and flavorful, and the noodles were pure savory comfort.Service was gracious and personable. We are thrilled that the best Pho in the Houston area is right here, just south of The Woodlands. Well worth the drive for anyone in search of the kind of Pho that will keep you coming back for more."

This place is A-la-Carte, which means you order and pay at your table. If anyone is looking for a job, they are hiring! 2. Price - prices are higher than in Chinatown, but considering the new times and the price hike at the grocery stores, this is actually not too bad. We're looking at $12-$17 for a main entree per person. 3. Ambiance - this place is modern and hip. Dress code is casual. Come as you are. 4. Food - I highly recommend their AVOCADO SMOOTHIE! It's as good as it gets. As for food, I have tried their Chargrilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl. This is legit Vietnamese food. There's not a lot of options for Viet food in this area, so if you crave any, feel free to try this place out. For vegetarian options, my wife has tried their Tofu Sandwich, and their Tofu Vermicelli bowl. Also tasty according to her. I haven't tried their pho yet, but will have to try that next. 5. Cleanliness - we have only done take outs since the Pandemic. But for the few times we've been here, the dining area appears clean."

Parking is available on both sides of the restaurant. There is both indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamps available on patio), and good for both larger groups and kids/families. A very well-rounded restaurant I must say!Remember this is "bar food" so don't expect the entrees to blow you away. Food was decently priced but I thought they were just okay. Some of the meat in the vermicelli bowl was hard to eat and the dumplings and spring rolls were not much more than what I can make myself at home. Something notable were QUART sizes available for Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee - I'll be ordering these for takeout one day. We've been hearing rave reviews about this place, so we were excited to finally check it out.We went on a Saturday night with a reservation, and the place was popping. The place has a very modern aesthetic - definitely not your typical Vietnamese joint..Our server was very friendly and prompt. We got the spring rolls and banh xeo tostada for starters. The spring rolls were pretty basic while the tostada was a fun take on traditional ban banh xeo. For mains, we ordered family style. We got the clay pot fish, shaken beef, and salt pepper squid. The favorite was definitely the squid - everything was perfect including the green sauce and the addition of the confit garlic. Not your typical salt pepper squid for sure. The clay pot fish was also good, and the beef was super tender on the Bo luc lac. We also got the Thai tea crème brûlée for dessert which was just delightful. This place definitely has great iterations of traditional dishes. Once I found Viet Alley, I'm in the Noodles Heaven.I bookmarked this restaurant since the CoVid era. I just noticed I could get airline milage rewards, I decided to swing by on a freezing cold night. There were few customers already dining in on a weekday. Plus, few customers picking up their orders. Considering a newer restaurant in the strip mall called Fountain Square, right across from Hong Kong City Mall. The storefront was quite bright. It was hard to miss it. The kitchen is a lot larger than you would expect from a banh mi shop, and I didn't see anything specific on the menu that would require that many people so they must do a lot of volume during the day.Their prices are more expensive than the typical Bellaire or Midtown shop, but their sandwiches are larger and they fill them well. Cajju is BYOB and there is no fee to bring in alcohol/wine. That's a perk. We were greeted immediately by Steve and he was kind and attentive. He also shared that it was his first day. He went above and beyond to answer our questions. We really appreciated that. We ordered fried pickles, wings, shrimp fried rice, and a shrimp poboy. We learned that on Thursday's the wings are a dollar, cool deal for those that eat wings. Mama prefers all flats and that's not an option here, but she said they were okay. The fried rice was good along with the poboy. The fried shrimp are huge and the French baguette is a lot of bread. With my vermicelli I also received an egg roll and a shrimp sugarcane roll (maybe not called a roll but anyhow...). The beef was super flavorful and tender. Really good flavor. I did need to use some of my husbands broth because the noodles have zero sauce on them at all. I guess I was expecting something on them so they weren't just a clump of noodles. That being said, with a little broth they were really nice. I definitely prefer the spring rolls to the egg roll. The spring rolls are crunchy and flavorful but the egg roll lacked a crunchiness and felt a little mushy inside. The shrimp sugarcane thing was ok. Probably an acquired taste. The vegetables in my vermicelli bowl were super fresh and crunchy. Overall I really liked the beef vermicelli bowl...with a bit of broth. It was light and satisfying. The shrimp pho was good. I'm not usually one to favor brisket over the usual rare steak or meatballs, but my husband and I both agreed the brisket here is particularly delicious. We also got the fried egg rolls, which were a little oily but SO tasty and crispy. The chef is so nice and so friendly! She was all laughs and smiles while cooking and serving tables by herself. There was a little bit of a language barrier but she was just the sweetest! You can tell she makes her food with love; the pho tastes like it was homemade, and I mean that in the best way possible.
