"I usually order from Olivit via DoorDash but I went in person this time and was greeted by a super nice guy at the front desk. He was very friendly, answered all my questions about their menu, and even gave me an enthusiastic recommendation. I really appreciate the customer service here.I usually get the wraps from here so I followed tradition and got a gyro and also the kobbeh balls, both of which were great. I've never had kobbeh before but the crunchiness of the outside and the soft, ground beef inside made me fall in love. This place is a must-try if you want some top-tier Mediterranean food."
"You can always count on the Halal Guys. Service is efficient and food is great. I recommend the Combo Platter, you get to try their amazing beef and chicken meat at the same time, meat is always fresh and well-seasoned, tender and flavorful. Portion size is much appreciated, it comes with rice, lettuce, tomatoes and 4 pieces of pita bread. I also ordered another side of hummus, it comes with another piece of big pita bread, hummus was on point!"

"Wow! What an unexpected experience. My husband and I had to take our daughter to a doctor's appointment in the area and were looking for someplace to have a healthy lunch. We saw a sign for Lama and decided to give it a try. It was so beautiful inside! Our daughter was in awe. We loved the complimentary mint tea. My husband and I ordered one of the dishes for two that came with two sides and two appetizers. Then we had three types of meat and rice with pita bread. It was our servers first day and she did a great job! She was helpful and checked in with us to make sure we were pleased with our meal. We definitely will be coming back!"
"Looking for a new place to Brunch?Saturday to Sundays 8 to 3pm you can find some delicious appetizers such as overnight rolled oats with Greek yogurt and cacao nibs or even tartine with avocadoe cilantro pumpkin seed pesto and pepitas. They even have delicious The Breakfast hand tossed pizza's with goat cheese and spinach and 3 sunny eggs."
"Glad I was finally able to try out this place! With so many good places in the Houston area, sometimes we take for granted new places, but also want to support the places that we like so they stay in business. So when the bakery I usually frequent across the street was full, I decided instead of waiting or trying to maneuver the inside of the bakery with 3 young children alone, to go over here because they had halal meat (chicken and gyro options). I was really happy that we were able to find close parking on the street but we usually park a little further down in the parking lot behind all the buildings when we visit city place. I heard that there is free parking in a garage nearby but I did not see any free parking in a garage; the only parking garage I saw had a sign that it was employees only.I saw a picture of what I wanted online and went with the Mediterranean plate which I have to say-- is pricey for the amount of food that you get. I expected it to be larger or for this price (almost $20) I expected it to cost less. Either or. The children options are really nice, they got the basics things, my kids were able to get the small pizza and a halal chicken meal that they enjoyed. I liked that they had a couple of different types of teas to try (ginger peach and black current) because it gets boring to only just have a sweet or unsweet tea option at restaurants. I tried the cookie that you get with the children's meal, and it are really yummy, I regretted not purchasing a few of those separately. We especially love the fact that they had frozen yogurt for a sweet treat after the meal. The inside of the place was very aesthetic looking and we are looking forward to visiting again soon."
"Perfect stop for fast, healthy, yummy. The pita bread is pretty thick so makes for more of a knife and fork type pita experience. It's delicious, just super dense, so it doesn't work as well to eat it like a traditional Greek wrap. I love that they let you do half and half for the base and proteins. The skhug sauce is excellent. Service is helpful and friendly. For the quality, the prices are fair- $11 for a wrap or bowl that's very filling. Dining room is basic and clean- reminds me of a Salata or Chipotle."
"Love their food! I got the lamb kabobs and hummus - super tasty and fresh and deliciousZ also recommend the grape leaves!"
"Tried this newly opened place in front of Sienna and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Beef Kafta platter to go which included Greek salad, rice, hummus, and pita. The beef was flavorful and juicy and the salad was fresh with a tasty dressing. Prices are on the higher side but the portions are generous. They also offer lunch specials but be sure to get there before 230p. I ordered a few minutes after and the cashier said it was too late so I had to pay dinner prices. I'll be back to try other items to support this small biz but wish they would be a little more flexible in the future for 2 minutes."

I'm always leery of trying an offshoot of the original Halal Guys from NYC, but I'm really glad I did here! The quality and taste is identical to the famous street carts I've ordered from in New York.I got the regular gyro platter which came with lettuce, tomatoes, pita, a bed of savory rice, and a heaping amount of their gyro meat (beef). To make it even better, they lathered it with their creamy white sauce and their spicy red sauce. I also topped it off with complimentary peppers and onions. This was amazing. The lettuce and tomato are just standard cold veggies, but the rice was incredible. It was super savory and had a nice oily coating that made it soft. The meat was also fantastic. It was super juicy and tender, and the amount given was appropriate for the price. Make sure you get extra white sauce because that is what you'll love the most. It's the perfect condiment topping to make anything 10x better.Staff were friendly and very quick in making orders.I'll definitely come back here again when I'm in the Houston area.

I've been let down by many Rice Village based eateries, but Istanbul Grill is one of the few that gets high marks for their quality food and warm customer service. They get my full endorsement as a bonafide spot in the neighborhood and is one of the better Turkish options in the loop. They've done a good job with their space, going from a miniscule dining area to one of the more busy scenes in the neighborhood. The have expanded the tables accommodate a number of people and have a bustling staff to help handle the crowd during their busiest times. Both lunch and dinner can have a wait, but lately I've been able to get seated right away.I don't know if I've had a better chicken kebab. The meat is incredibly tender and well seasoned. Out of all the dishes, this is the one where I can't stop savoring every bite and it quickly gets gobbled up anytime I'm eating in a group. The rice pilaf is wonderful and goes perfectly with their pirzola (lamb chop) and their eggplant. Most of the food is extremely filling and their falafel is very tasty. Their lahmacun and pide is a must order. One major downside is that it's very pricey. A mixed grill is $24 and while the portions are solid, the pricetags are hard to justify for much of the menu's options despite the obvious foodflation. Parking is almost limited to only a handful of spots out front, I would recommend street parking or take advantage of the free garage parking in the lot across the street.

As a true connoisseur of casual dining, I must say that my recent experience at the White Elm was nothing short of exceptional. My BFF and I stopped by for a girlfriend brunch one Saturday and feasted on delicious meal.Located in not so busy strip mall this gem of a restaurant has a cool French vibe with two types of dining options. You can choose to eat in open dining room or in the adjacent dining area near the lounge area. We chose to eat in the room adjacent to the dining room. Seated in a corner table we were ready to taste away.Among the various culinary delights on the menu, the hamburger stood out as a true masterpiece. The patty was expertly cooked, achieving an optimal level of juiciness and tenderness that is often elusive in the realm of hamburgers. The toppings were also carefully chosen, complementing the flavors of the patty rather than overwhelming it.And the bun - a crucial element often overlooked by lesser establishments - was soft, pillowy, and perfectly fresh. In short, this hamburger was a triumph of gastronomy, and I highly recommend it to any discerning foodie. In addition to the perfectly juicy hamburger, we also had the pleasure of trying the deviled eggs for an appetizer and the bread pudding for dessert. The deviled eggs were expertly prepared, with a creamy and flavorful filling that was a perfect balance of eggy and savory. The bread pudding was equally impressive, with a rich and buttery flavor that was enhanced by a generous drizzle of a sauce that may or may not been caramel. Whatever it was, it was delish. Both dishes were true highlights of the meal, and I highly recommend trying them.. All in all, this restaurant is a true gem, and I can't wait to go back and sample more of their deliciousness.

Came here for a group dinner on work trip.Delicious kabob and salad Their service is amazing!!Great food and highly recommend!!Theyvalso have a brick oven pizza.
Visit Restaurant Page"It gets busy around 6-7 PM even on weekdays but the line moves quickly! There are 4 options, a small bowl is $10 and a regular bowl is $11 -- falafel, chicken only, beef only, and combo chicken & beef. Combo chicken & beef is the best IMO. The chicken by itself was pretty over-cooked and wasn't as seasoned very well compared to the beef. Plenty of parking spots in the small lot adjacent to the building. There are a few tables indoors and also an outdoor seating area with plastic tents over it. Only free toppings are white onions & green peppers. Will be coming back in the future!"
"Recently have gone back several times and each time the food was a hit. Love the the new renovations and my taste buds are excited once again. The old Kasra flavors are back and they are a hit."
"While I was growing up in Houston this was one of our favorite places, and my mom and aunt were some of their first customers. It's wonderful to see how much they have grown and expanded. And their shawarma, hummus and tabouli are the best in the world, and the owner is a sweetheart. It's absolutely one of the best things about Houston."
"Got a small chicken platter ($9 something) and regular combo platter ($10 something). Preferred the beef (more flavor) over chicken. Decent amount of protein for the price, and the small was filling for me. White sauce is very good but high in calories for those health conscious folks. The red sauce is quite spicy. I still like Gyro Hut better (their chicken has more flavor), but Halal Guys is also good."
"Food was amazing! 10/10 my bestie and I got a lot of food to try and thankfully they have to-go boxes because there's no way we could eat all of this. Out of the main entree's, the lamb was our favorite but we agreed it would be even better in the winter as it was a heavy dish. The fish was wonderful too and definitely on the lighter end when it came to flavor but still very good and perfect for the summer. The "buffet" was excellent as well and I'd be more than happy just getting the 6 half portions for $16.99. The price is a bit on the high side but you get practically 2 meals out of it and the quality is superb. The Bulghur and Lentil salad were my favorite of the vegetarian dishes and the Curry Chicken salad was amazing. That would be perfect made into a sandwhich. The hummus and the Yogurt with cucumber (which reminded me of a really thick Tzatziki) were good and refreshing. The Greek salad was rather disappointing. It didn't have a lot of flavor even with the dressing. The roasted potatoes were wonderful with good garlic and lemon flavor. The fried cauliflower had absolutely no flavor and that was disappointing cause I do love fried cauliflower when it's seasoned properly. The little "pies", the bread with what tastes like kaak, and th little meat pie which tastes like Lahme bil Ajiin, we're good too. The cake was also good. Basically everything was good if not great barring those two things. Service was also 10/10. I believe the owner or manager was out talking with customers and helping serve food as well. He was super nice and you could tell he was proud of the restaurant. The servers also seemed to be happy so that was nice as well. Ambiance 8/10. It's on the loud end. There's no soft furnishing to help absorb the sound so we had to constantly talk louder. It is nice inside though and plenty of seating. I highly recommend this place."
"So I'm not a huge CAVA trend guy, but my girlfriend buys from here all the time so I had to try it out. Can't lie, it's kinda not too bad at all. We order delivery most of the time and the orders are always satisfactory. Flavor is pretty good and portion sizes are decent too. It's a little overpriced but otherwise I think it's darn good. Will definitely be ordering again (like right now, if I'm being honest)."
"Came here with a group of 4 for a friend's birthday dinner. We made reservations far in advance on Resy and they require you to make a deposit when you book. Parking is valet and located on the side of Rosie Cannonball next to the restaurant entrance. After checking in, you are escorted upstairs where the lounge and main dining area are located. First off was the lounge which has a full bar and comfy lounge seating. They greeted us with a taste of their signature vermouth which was delicious! We ordered pre-dinner cocktails and they gave us small snacks to munch on. After we finished the snacks we were escorted to the main dining area which has a nice, classy atmosphere. For dinner we had the 6 course menu, focused on the Mediterranean, with wine pairings. Each course was well plated with a wonderful presentation. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the food. Each course was good, but not as amazing as I thought it would have been for the price we paid. There's not a single dish I would come back here for. I did feel satiated after the 6 course meal so I can't even imagine how full I would have been after 9 courses. On a positive note, the servers here are amazing and extremely attentive. They were also patient with us as we were the last customers there and they let us take our time to finish our meals. Overall, I love the vibe and the ambiance of the classy dining room. I know everyone has different palates, so if you have the money to try this place out and are curious, then go for it. Otherwise if you've been on the fence, I don't think this place is worth it for the high price tag. I would definitely come back to their lounge/bar area for drinks though!!"
"We were originally going to eat at the place next door, and when they were closed unexpectedly we just decided to try it since I was so hungry. When we came in the guy behind the desk didn't get up or greet us. Weird for a new restaurant, they're usually really friendly but that's fine. We ordered lamb shank, macaroni bechamel, lentil soup and a shawarma wrap. We also ordered bottled waters at the counter. We didn't get our drinks until we were almost half way done with the meal. The macaroni dish was half cold and not microwaved all the way through. The lamb shank was really tender and tasted good. The lentil soup was fantastic.Overall ok place"
"I love this place. Their food is always good and so is the service. Definitely good bang for your buck. Best hummus also."
"Falafel Gyro is my go-to and finished off with the Tiramisu. Three times already. The gyro is stuffed with healthy tomatoes, cucumber, onions and parsley in a pita. Falafel also comes in a salad and rice platter but I always stick with the gyro. Yummy."
"How can you not love this food! I just wish I am not offered so many choices in front of me. I love their Adana kabob, babaganoush, all the other spreads. I just wish I was not on my zero carb diet."
"The food was amazing! My sisters go to spot after church and she said I absolutely had to come and try it. She wasn't wrong, but coming from a previous chef I knew, she knows her food. You can order from a menu or you can just order from the buffet of various dishes. From a variety of hummus to rice to pasta and don't skip out on the salmon. My sisters favorite!! It was so easy to over indulge. Gyro, Sharwarmaa, Baklava, FADI, FADI, FADI!!!"
"Tried this truck on an impulse today when we were stalking another truck at My food Park HTX. Best chicken schwarma, EVER. My hubby is uber fussy about Mediterranean food, but he absolutely loved this.As a few of the other reviewers have said, the bread isn't traditional pita, it's a Lebanese flat bread - it is akin to the roti cani pancakes from Malaysia, just a bit thicker. The contents were heavenly, and plentiful. Lots of good quality, excellently cooked ingredients. We really did love it!My side was their cucumber tzatziki dip which rocked my world and those home made pita chips? Nom.I'm drooling writing this review. Seriously good food and very reasonably priced!"
"Love this place!! Came here for the first time and we will be back again for sure. The place is clean with a nice ambience, the menu has a good variety of foods, and the owner was so nice! We were fasting that day so he offered us dates, a drink and samosas to break our fast with. It was so thoughtful! Here are some of the things we tried: -chicken mandi plate: tender chicken quarter with biryani-style rice, very good-gyro sandwich- also delicious!!-chicken samosas were AMAZING- MUST try!-yuca fries- delicious!!"
"Found this place through IG and of course bookmarked it so when I was in this side could give it a go, and I'm sure glad I did! I love Mediterranean food and all the photos looked great and the atmosphere as well, so I looped my coworkers together and off we went! When we pulled up the outside of the building was beautiful and inviting. We walked in and their was a small bakery counter to the left with a brick oven in the back as well. We were greeted promptly and were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Lots of space indoors and outdoors and also has a private dining space that you can have private parties in. I love that there was so much space to spread out, and plugs in Al the walls so should you hang out for a work day, you're plugged in and good to go. This place seems very authentic in my opinion, lots of hookah around as well, and all the food looked amazing it was so hard to decide!I got the samosas (half and half) as I couldn't decide which I wanted. I liked them both but prefer the beef! Also I ordered the chicken Schwarma with fries and it was absolutely delicious with the garlic sauce that comes with it. You can sub out your fries for a salad! Everything that came out look phenomenal, I wasn't able to finish all my food, so it was nice to have something for later on. The one thing I would say that would be helpful to know is water came out in a bottle so you're charged $3 for that and then gratuity is added in already as well. I definitely intend to come back and enjoy this delicious food! Our waiter was super nice and attentive so I appreciate how kind everyone was during our visit."
"Ordered beef shawarma through a grubhub delivery and man it hit the spot! The garlic naan was bigger than I anticipated and was the perfect side to my meal. Will definitely be back!"
"Came here for lunch and was not disappointed by the food. The paella was fragrant, flavorful, and there were threads of saffron in the dish. The ingredients were fresh. The mussels, shrimps, calamari, chorizo, and chicken were perfectly cooked. The whole dish was delicious. The lamb shank was big, and super tender. The mash potato and green bean sides were good too. Baklava for dessert was the perfect ending. The phyllo pastry was crispy, thin, and flaky. The ground walnuts added extra texture, and the honey brought the dessert together. Scrumptious! The baklava was served with a small scoop of ice cream on the side. I have never eaten a baklava with ice cream so it was new to me. However, I found the ice cream to be unnecessary as the baklava was already a sweet dessert. I couldn't taste the sweetness from the ice cream after eating just one small spoon of baklava. I received great service today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The restaurant has an olden but modern look, and there are plenty of seats for small and big groups. There is plenty of parking too. I will be back for sure."
"Look out Abu Omar you've got competition. This food truck just opened up and have some delicious shawarmas. Lots of options. I tried the shawarma arabe with garlic sauce, crazy shawarma (spicier), and chicken tenders. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend trying this newest halal food truck."
