CAVA

Cava is my substitute for Mezeh and Roots since neither of the two are available in Houston. Ingredients are fresh even if portions are minimal. For the price point, I expect a bit more than a teaspoon of protein whenever I order. Nevertheless, it's a reliable lunch option.

So I'm not a huge CAVA trend guy, but my girlfriend buys from here all the time so I had to try it out. Can't lie, it's kinda not too bad at all. We order delivery most of the time and the orders are always satisfactory. Flavor is pretty good and portion sizes are decent too. It's a little overpriced but otherwise I think it's darn good. Will definitely be ordering again (like right now, if I'm being honest).

I really enjoyed my first ever visit to Cava this past week. Although I felt a bit thrown off by the Chipotle-style service operation, it's not really that big of a deal. I would describe Cava as minimally Mediterranean since there are no Mediterranean basics like couscous, baba ghanouj, tabouli or skordalia. I might be wrong, but quinoa seemed to be conspicuously absent (Haha). However, I did enjoy my Greek pita. I love hummus, though, so I was kind of surprised when the guy who made the pita placed two tiny scoops of hummus and tzatziki sauce on the pita and then proceeded to mix everything together. Say what!? (Hahaha) Even so, I enjoyed the pita, which was full of delicious ingredients and a wonderful vinaigrette. The highlight of my meal was actually the lemonade. It's sooo good! I look forward to trying other offerings on the menu.

Food and service was great I will say and the Greek salad was my favorite shout out to Joey and mark !!!!!

Never been here before, but Daela was so welcoming and friendly. She took interest in explaining the menu and making recommendations for me. The food is yummy and fresh and I'll definitely be back!

The food here is great. So many options for flavors and combinations of Mediterranean-style foods. You can create your own bowl and make endless combinations of flavors - Very similar to chipotle, but better. The dining room itself was decent, a bit cold, but plenty of space and clean. The service is what got me. The man making the bowls at the front was friendly enough, but the girl at the register literally didn't say any words except for the total amount owed. No pleasantries or even "will that be it?" Or "would you like a drink with that?" I was dumbfounded because she just stared at me while I waited for her to say something. It was quite uncomfortable.On the whole the flavors and food will bring us back, but I'm hoping to have better service next time!

The location is quick and efficient. The online order is fast. Love the food here .. definitely coming back again

I love Cava first I'll say that. I think I've learned from my last few orders that going in and standing in line is the best way to ensure you get what you want. I feel like when I order for pick up the bowl is all mixed together, and generally something is missing vs standing in line and they portion in the ingredients and scoop the items into the bowl so they are identifiable. Isn't that usually the case though?
