We both got the Escovitch red snapper with garlic mashed potatoes and mustard greens for one dinner and Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and carrot fluff for the other dinner. Portions were generous and I did have leftovers for another meal. Let me tell you the fish was flaky and tender. It was also a nice portion and seasoned well. All of the sides were tasty but the winner was the carrot fluff! I know what your thinking but get it out your head! It tasted just like sweet potatoes. "This place not to be mistaken as the Francesca's chains. It's a stand-alone restaurant by a completely different owner. The food is deliciously addictive. It's a small place, I mean less than 40 tables (estimating). It's one room and they don't take reservations. The menu is on the wall and there is always a wait for a table so you'll have plenty of time to decide. If you don't see it on the menu, chances are high that they can make it for you! Now that's top notch service! The baked clams are SO FREAKING DELICIOUS! Seriously, not even exaggerating here. I could just have 4 dozen as my entree and still want more! Fried calamari always seems to taste better here than other restaurants, maybe it's what they season it with after being fried. Even if you don't have an appetizer, the warm and crusty bread that gets brought out is highly addictive! My husband loves their veal chop, it's tender and prepared perfectly. It's a large portion so depending on how hungry he is, it makes a good lunch the next day too! He's also a huge fan of their spicy seafood diavolo with linguine. They put in ample amounts of seafood like lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, and salmon. The pasta and grilled bread is just the right thing to sop up all the very spicy sauce. My favorites are the osso bucco with risotto, the bucatini with lobster, crab and shrimp, and the black linguini with mussels, clams, and cherry tomatoes. The osso bucco is melt in your mouth delicious and there's nothing more sinful than digging out the marrow with a tiny shrimp fork to spread on a small piece of fresh bread. The black linguini is prepared just right with an ample amount of clams and mussels. There is a down side to the dish - the last few times the clams and mussels were not cleaned well so all the sand and grit really ruined the dining experience. The bucatini is just as delicious, but the last time I ordered it there was no lobster and they used fake crab (Gross!), and there was tiny broken pieces of salmon - it looked like someone's leftover meal and wasn't quite what I expected. It was rather disappointing since I wanted lobster and crab with pasta. They didn't let me know about the substitutions and NO quality restaurant should serve fake crab in place of real crab!I guess I'll stick to the osso bucco or something more consistent."

"Such a quaint Japanese spot for some quality sushi!Came here on a Sunday at their open time and no one else was here. The place is relatively small but has more space in the back. It's a quiet spot and the perfect place for some assorted sushi rolls. They have a large menu with their main best sellers being their sushi rolls and poke bowls. I love that they have it separated as "beginner rolls" and "adventure rolls". You already know I primarily only look at the adventure rolls ;) But it's super nice for folks who haven't ventured out into the sushi world yet and want to start off with more plain rolls. You also have the option of ordering either 4 rolls (for a cheaper price) and 8 rolls (for a higher price). I love this option! More restaurants should have this so people can order more and less rolls that sound appealing to them or if they simply want to try something new, they won't be stuck with a full roll to finish. They also have ramen and various appetizers and seafood dishes. The staff here was super polite. I mean seriously, they were so hospitable and welcoming I definitely noticed it immediately. There's more than enough parking in front; be sure not to miss Seafeast since it's tucked away in a strip mall. I would totally go here again!"

I think this was about 15 minutes late but stuff happens so no biggie. She walked over and asked us if we knew what we want to order and we didn't have menus yet so waited a couple minutes to look through. My sister ordered eggs with ham and potatoes. I ordered a gyro omelette with potatoes and pancakes. My sister ordered a mini waffle and gave that to me to try. My omelette was big and delicious and the potatoes were amazing. I didn't particularly like the pancakes or the waffle. My sister liked her meal. All in all I am happy this place is in the neighborhood and I like their food. I know what I would order if I came back again and I would definitely come back."

"My husband and I were on the lookout for a casual lunch spot over the holidays and The Greenhouse Inn came to mind. The food was good and the service was excellent! Post meal, this was worth the trip up to West Rogers Park.The Greenhouse Inn is a quaint, cafeteria style restaurant. It can hold at least 100 guests. The overall ambiance makes you feel as if you've just stepped into grandmas house. The servers are warm, accommodating, and they escort you to your table. The tables are set with formal place settings. We visited around Christmas and the restaurant was decorated from end to end with holiday decor. Even my placemat had Santa on it! The festive atmosphere really got me in a holiday mood.You have a choice to choose from their daily specials or from their menu. As other Yelpers have mentioned, they have a clever ordering system. At every table, there are colored sheets of paper categorized by courses (I.e. Appetizers/Main Courses/Specials/Drinks/Dessert). These colored sheets allow you to check off what item you'd like to have. When you're finished ordering, hand the paper over to your server to get the ball rolling. It's a great ordering system to help staff keep track of who ordered what. (See pics below).There are lots of options to choose from. There are several affordable dishes (ranging from $7-15) that can suit anyone's preferences. Whether your a vegetarian or pescatarian, it's nice to know that you can choose a vegan or gluten free dish in addition to their regular menu. I ordered the Fish and chips basket and Ben ordered Shrimp Alfredo pasta from the buffet. Both were good and the servings were just the right amount! We didn't get anything from the bakery but next time, I would like to purchase a chocolate chip loaf! There is ample parking in the Misericordia compound. They only serve lunch so check their hours of operation."

"Here is yet another place for sushi in a city full. If looking for a chill hip place to get this delicacy, come here. Sushi X is just east of the Expressway on Chicago Avenue close to the Blue Line station. Just so happened to be around here so it was convenient. They had just opened up for lunch so we came in and got a table. As with many of these sushi restaurants, there's a menu of contemporary and more traditional rolls, most with some kind of fish. It has a few vegetarian ones. This made choosing pretty easy though. It's $5 for most rolls, which is good. We got an Avocado Roll and a Spinach Roll. Both were awesome. The Avocado Roll was pretty typical, except this one had sesame seeds. Basically if you've had one this isn't much different, but you know what you're getting. The Spinach Roll was more unique. It's seasoned with garlic, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. This was the first time we ever had this type. Good enough. The spinach thankfully wasn't wilted like we thought it could have been like. Cool little place for sushi and some other appetizers. It closes between lunch and dinner Mondays to Fridays. They're open for dinner only on the weekends."

This weather for a California boy is a bit alien and I can't say I like it to much.So, I sat down at my laptop, logged into my local Goddess and Grocer and ordered myself a: *California Dreaming sandwich with house roasted turkey breast, Swiss cheese, avocado, tomato, arugula, lemon herb aioli, multigrain breadand my wife a:*Miso Chicken Salad with chicken, rice vermicelli, spicy broccoli, snow peas, carrots, Napa cabbage, kale, cilantro, mint, pickled red onions,miso honey vinaigretteI put my thermal undershirt on, my turtleneck on, my warm socks, my warm parka, my gloves and muffler, and walked the two blocks in Antarctic conditions. There was not a soul on the streets walking and I totally understand why!Goddess Grocer had our lunch prepared right on time and packed perfectly for my short walk back home.We unwrapped this pretty damn good lunch, paid our $5.99 to watch Oppenheimer (The Movie) and hunkered in like any sane person would do under these conditions.Thank you Goddess Grocer for making this day nice and easy!"

My recent visit was this weekend where I treated my parents out to lunch because I want them to try things out of their norm.They loved the food especially the Basil eggplant and the Tofu and Chicken Pad-See-Ew. The Tom Kha soup was new for all of us and had interesting flavor. I like that this location unlike other Thai places offers Moo Ping too which I love. The service was courteous and swift and if you can time it right, parking is available in their lot. Otherwise you'll have to resort to the streets for carryout and dine in."

Also loved it with tofu. Delicious dressing.Orient - Another great choice. Feels like you're having it at as Asian place. Love the crispy noodles they top it with.Guac - I forget what this is called exactly, but it's really good. Flavor of guac comes through great.I did try this warm goat cheese one today and it was OK. A little bland for my liking. I think there are a couple more veggie options to try, but the first 3 are just awesome. "We came here for my wife's birthday on a Saturday night. The evening started out quiet, with a rather empty dining room. The place got packed by the time we were heading out. My guess is that people come later so they can enjoy the this place when it converts into a lounge. The service for the most part was good. It started out great, but as more people started coming in, the service got slower. Took about 20 minutes to get our bill so we could pay and get out. We started off with their Queso Fundido and forgot to bring tortillas. Everything else went pretty smooth though. My wife ordered their Bandeja Paisa tacos and I ordered their Steak & Frites. The tacos were really flavorful. They came with chorizo, skirt steak, plantain, Chicharron, quail egg, aji, and avocado. A lot of stuff going on there but they all went so perfectly inside the tortilla. Wouldn't mind ordering these again. The skirt steak as tender, and you get a little heat with the chorizo. My steak was cooked perfectly. It came with chipotle chimichurri, habanero aioli and a lot of fried that we couldn't finish. We also ordered a few drinks and they were all tasty. Fruita Fresca was our favorite. Overall a satisfying meal and decent night. Will definitely be returning."

I love that they usually have a veggie Chicago style up there as well as the usual pepperoni and sausage. The crust is flaky, the sauce is savory, and the toppings are plentiful. I feel like all restaurants prices have gone up exponentially in the last two years, but Art of Pizza still keeps their prices affordable for a quick lunch. There is a parking lot right in front. They take cash or card, and the staff is fast and never hesitates to answer any questions. The inside isn't fancy, but is always clean and I have never had a hard time finding a table."

So one Friday I combined a trip to the auto shop with a pickup of their family meal of roasted and fried cambodian chicken.It was the most interesting delicious food I have had in a long time. The fried chicken was delicious, and the roasted chicken might have been even better. The crudites dips were weird and rich and savory. The salad was awesome, though the dressing was so intense that you may want a light hand. The fried bananas were compelling too. I was just blown away by how much was going on here, and reminded by how much I've missed out on this kind of dining in the past 21 months.To be sure, the meal had to survive a long drive back to my house so some of the fried things (bananas and chicken) would have been even better if I could have had them fresh. And some things were just pushing the envelope too much even for me. But that is exactly what I want in this kind of place. I want delicious food, flavor that punches me in the face, and maybe a little too hard.Some day, I'll be back in the dining room."

The cheese crust is what I think people *think* pequods is doing (yummy crispy cheese) but without being burnt.Deff recommend checking out Paulie Gee's to fulfill your meaty cheese and fluffy bread cravings."
