Loved this place- my partner and I don't typically go out for sushi, so this was a new experience for us. We went on a Friday mid-afternoon, around 2ish, and they still had a decent amount of diners but not too busy where we had to wait a long time. Our server was quite friendly and talked with us a bit about the opening of the restaurant a few monts ago. We ordered the fried rice, salmon poke bowl and tried the wonton, spring roll and shogun sushi.I love fried rice - my favorite style where it's kinda oily, savory and just pure satisfaction. We also enjoyed the shogun roll and wontons/spring rolls. It was my first time having a poke bowl so I didn't know what to expect but it was a very large portion and ingredients were fresh. Inside decor is cozy, quaint and everything is not in order - which makes it feel more homey. Lots of tables and close to everything in Schaumburg. They also have an Extensive menu - and hope to be back when I'm in the area to try other sushi options.

Seafeast Sushi has a very bright airy feel inside and is very cleanly kept. I was greeted kindly by server Kim right away and seated. She kept checking on me and was very enjoyable to talk with. The seating area is quaint and they have high stools, tables and booths to accommodate you and your comfort level. The sushi maker and owner Derrick is from Canton, China. The Crab Rangoon is full of crab and has a nice creamy texture. The spring roll had fresh cabbage, carrot and is nicely sized with in-house plum sauce. The "Dragon roll on fire" roll has a very fun presentation. It was lit on fire at the table side. The fish was very fresh and I loved the slight char taste that the fire lent to the fish and rice. The red and black fish eggs were a beautiful and tasty topper to this signature roll! The shogun roll was pretty good. The shrimp tastes fresh and was flavorful. They give a generous amount of fish and it's not all rice. The sushi rice is well blended. The sushi rolls stood thier ground and didn't fall apart. Sauces are all made in-house. The wasabi is freshly made and has a nice natural kick to it that you don't get at other sushi houses. They are a new establishment and are working out kinks but all in all they are doing well out of the gate. Notable; Seafeast Sushi won an award and trophy for best ramen in Schaumburg but I'll have to come back and try that next time.

My partner and I tried their sushi this weekend and they are so good! And I should also note that they have a large selection of sushi on the menu.

4 of us went out to dinner. Including our table there were 4 tables with customers. So not overly busy. It took over an hour to get our food. Each persons meal came out separate within that hour, as a result we all ate at different times. Food was average at best.

I came here on a weekend. We were seated immediately as it was empty. The front area where the chefs work looked a little cluttered like they were still in the midst of opening.Good to know: For dine-in, you can only do full orders for sushi (10 pcs vs. 5 pcs). This place is not Japanese owned..Customer service: I only saw the waitress and she was friendly.Parking:.plenty of parking spotsSeating: lots of seating available for dine inFoodTakoyaki ($6): octopus ball, unagi sauce, mayo sauce and dried bonito. It was warm and good.Shrimp & Vegetables Tempura ($8): tempura shrimp, vegetable tempura with dashi sauce. It tasted as I expected. Crunchy fried deliciousness and the sauce complements it. The sauce bowl was a little too big in my opinion.Dragon On Fire Roll ($15) - option for full order only. Shrimp tempura, fresh salmon, super white tuna, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, red & black tobiko, scallions, sesame seeds. I was not impressed with this roll and it did not contain the ingredients (ie. see pic I posted) that were noted in the description. The mayo that is inside the roll was not spicy mayo and it was a little much as there is mayo on the top of the roll already. Not much salmon/super white tuna. It honestly felt like I was eating rice with mayo so I wouldn't recommend this roll.Phoenix Roll ($12) - spicy tuna, masago, tempura flakes, spicy mayo and sesame seeds. This was a better than the other roll that I ordered but I felt like I was eating a normal spicy tuna roll. Not a lot of masago and no sesame seeds in sight.Overall, I was underwhelmed with my experience. The presentation of the food was okay but I like to dine at places where the food tastes good. The rolls were loaded with rice and/or mayo. I wouldn't recommend this place nor plan on coming back. I've also taken closer up pics of the rolls to validate the ingredients listed in the menu weren't really in the rolls.

Such a quaint Japanese spot for some quality sushi!Came here on a Sunday at their open time and no one else was here. The place is relatively small but has more space in the back. It's a quiet spot and the perfect place for some assorted sushi rolls. They have a large menu with their main best sellers being their sushi rolls and poke bowls. I love that they have it separated as "beginner rolls" and "adventure rolls". You already know I primarily only look at the adventure rolls ;) But it's super nice for folks who haven't ventured out into the sushi world yet and want to start off with more plain rolls. You also have the option of ordering either 4 rolls (for a cheaper price) and 8 rolls (for a higher price). I love this option! More restaurants should have this so people can order more and less rolls that sound appealing to them or if they simply want to try something new, they won't be stuck with a full roll to finish. They also have ramen and various appetizers and seafood dishes. The staff here was super polite. I mean seriously, they were so hospitable and welcoming I definitely noticed it immediately. There's more than enough parking in front; be sure not to miss Seafeast since it's tucked away in a strip mall. I would totally go here again!

4 stars for location, great tasting food, value, and friendly service. Thanks, Yelp for having an event here so I can check it out. This gets a star for location because it's close to my crib. It's also in a great area near other restaurants and grocery store and Schaumburgs finest library =). Their food is fresh and yummmms! I had the ramen- winner! The soup base tonkotsu is so flavorful and perfectly flavored while the ramen is perfectly chewy. The featured shogun roll was a huge hit. An explosion of flavors and fresh sushi. Truly delightful. I wasn't crazy about the vegetable spring roll. I thought it was a little soggy inside. The crab Rangoon was great! It's was nicely stuffed with just the perfect amount of crispness with the wonton. The tuna poke bowl was super fresh, too. And the amount of food was just the right size. The reason why it didn't get the 5th star? Our server was friendly, no complaints there. I wasn't crazy about the order in which my food arrived. Ramen came out first then the poke bowl, then a tremendous long wait for the sushi and appetizers, served last, as if it had been forgotten. All in all, I would go back because that ramen is a hall of framer! Thank you, Yelp!

got a nice welcoming when i walked in. got seated right away. it was not that busy which was nice. we got served right away asking about beverages. there's a good amount to choose from and they have good pricing and combos. we ordered 2x spicy crab rolls, shrimp fried rice, shrimp tempura roll and house salad. 2x spicy crab roll: good flavoring the crunch was nice too. the seaweed was a bit hard to chew through. shrimp fried rice: very good flavoring. the soy sauce helped it out too. the shrimp was cooked well and so was the rice. shrimp tempura roll: bigger sized roll, has two pieces of shrimp tempura. the seaweed was also hard to chew through there was some flavoring in it that was throwing me off. house salad: very good dressing. like the shredded carrots. staff was nice and helped when needed. did take a bit to get the food though about 30 minutes. thank you again!

Seafeast Sushi is in a hidden corner of this strip mall. I've driven past it before. I won't make that mistake again. It's truly a hidden gem in Schaumburg. I'm glad that I got to experience it. My husband and I ordered tonkatsu shoyu ramen and the shrimp tempura roll to try some different flavors on the menu. This was my favorite crab ragoon I've had. The rolls were fresh and flavorful. The sauces really added a lot of flavor to the sushi. The ramen noodles were fresh, and the pork was nice and fatty, which typically leads to a tender taste. The food took some time to come out. There was only one server and two cooks. Definitely allow for some time. Our dinner took about an hour and a half. I had a great time. I recommend Seafeast Sushi to all of the sushi and Asian food lovers in the area.

The Good: Very friendly staff, large maki (rolls), creative maki selection. The Bad: Sushi lacked flavor (rice was not properly seasoned), fish was warm, fish quality was mediocre. (Rice is supposed to be body temp and fish should be kept cold. It is normally cooler than the rice if you eat the sushi right after it is made.)The Odd: Chopsticks, and soy sauce are Chinese. I found this rather odd. The quality of the Chinese chop sticks provided was superior to almost all other places, but I would have preferred a Japanese soy sauce for the sushi (Kikkoman, Yamasa, etc)Pricing is fair, but I think you can get better quality elsewhere for the same money.
