Let’s Eat to Live

I went here to eat on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and had a wonderful time. Food and service were excellent and made with care. We both got the Escovitch red snapper with garlic mashed potatoes and mustard greens for one dinner and Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and carrot fluff for the other dinner. Portions were generous and I did have leftovers for another meal. Let me tell you the fish was flaky and tender. It was also a nice portion and seasoned well. All of the sides were tasty but the winner was the carrot fluff! I know what your thinking but get it out your head! It tasted just like sweet potatoes. It was an excellent choice with the fish.Thanks Eat to Live!

Catered in for work and damn this place was good. Jerk chicken was so moist and flavorful. Alfredo pasta was creamy and delicious. The greens were good, had a kick to it. Would def come to eat here in person or cater again.

This place almost seems like it could be a gem but it has the traditional "black owned" growing pains which is unfortunate. It's clean & has nice decor. The food on yelp looked appetizing so we were excited to try it. This was our 1st visit and upon entering it was not clear who was the hostess but a young lady took initiative and seated us. It took a bit for our server to reappear but when she did she was a sweetheart, very courteous & polite. While we were waiting, the back door was open letting in a very cold draft while they brought in supplies. That initially made me uncomfortable but we didn't want that to discourage us. We ordered a couple items that were "out" but we also didn't want that to discourage us. We then just decided to get our food to go ordering secondary options instead.When we got home the order was disappointing (pictured). It was just not worth it for us. I would still say try them because your experience may be different.

Upon entry there was no one there to great us, so after looking around and asking loudly do we seat ourselves. A lady the owner or boss comes and apologizes then speaks to a waitress, who asks if we will sit at another table while she cleans off our table. I'm not going to hang on the rest of the awkward interaction. so sadly most things we wanted to try were on the menu but not available. Red snapper Ceviche, Salmon Fataya, and coconut rice. We decided to order Broccoli Pelotas, these were over cooked and salty. The outside was crispy and the inside mushy. The wings were full wings but small, tasted like regular bbq sauce.Escovitch red snapper was over cooked and tough. The sauce was like a sweet an sour sauce heavier on the vinegar. Garlic mash was not flavored well needed salt, butter, more garlic and needed less of the skin in the mash, Brussel sprouts were not bad and the mustard greens were a big no.Butter Garlic Lamb Chops were ok, different sizes so cooked different, some over cooked some cooked nicely, but not the worst. Mac and cheese was ok, asparagus was over cooked and the hard ends were left on, and carrot fluff was ok. The veggie rice was also a no.The ambiance is nice, I will give everything a second chance, but maybe I'll try again in a few more months.

Food is sooo good! I come here often. The salmon fataya is one of favorites. The staff is always friendly, and I love the ambience of the place.

If you are looking to get glamorous star studded treatment with wonderfully tasteful cuisine in a family friendly restaurant with service that specializes in ensuring you are well taken care of please visit Let's Eat to Live! You will NOT be disappointed! Pictures attached show the manager (checkered shirt) and the most wonderful, friendly restaurant owner (Camilla) I have ever met. I celebrated my birthday there and was treated like a superstar! I called a week in advance with a head count and time and Camilla set up space with no problem for my party. She prettied up the tables and warmly welcomed all of my guests. The manager/sever explained the menu when necessary in detail and was very open upon being asked about the food, she didn't miss a beat regarding refills and requests. I thought the lamb chops were mind blowing but the carrots that were smoothly whipped into a heavenly tasteful side of veggies along with the greens that tasted like my mom's quickly became the star of my plate. In addition, if you like ginger beer then THIS one is the best you'll ever find, not too sweet or overwhelming but just right! Hey, I'm telling you, the food is amazing, compliments to the chef and the cook. Everything was happily devoured and at the end, not only was my party presented with a delicious sweets tray consisting of bean pie, warm cookies and the most delicious bread pudding pastry I've ever had but I was presented with a mouth-watering slice of cream cheese cake! Please visit Let's Ear to Live, book a party, it's no fuss, plenty of street parking, great artwork on the walls, calming ambiance and even if you get something to go you'll experience great personalities behind the counter and GREAT food.

It was clean, nicely decorated and neat. The food tasted really amazing, I was a bit hesitant at first but pleasantly surprised! The wait staff were attentive, patient, and kind.... We shall be ordering more dishes to try, especially after Ramadan!

I'm assuming it's better for pickup or delivery. Loved the lamb chops but the the service here wasn't very attentive. I was one of only two tables here and the amount of time it took to take my order was ridiculous (over 15 min). When the food arrived, I didn't have silverware and it took me 5+ min to even see someone to flag down to get it. Now I'm done eating and no one is walking by for me even to ask for the check. I'm the ONLY table here!! It's not awful but it just wasn't great.

Service was extremely nice , ambiance and music in the restaurant was very calming and free parking right outside the restaurant, clean and very nice . The food was freshly made tasted great came in a good portions couldn't have asked for a better experience .

Our corporate team visited yesterday for lunch after a site visit nearby, and we were greeted by such kind staff! Delicious food and a friendly atmosphere in a clean restaurant. Would absolutely recommend! Thank you so much for having us and for your hospitality!
