The cheese just keeps stringing me along, but according to multiple sauces, it has now gone and crust the line.

Meaty deep dish. Hardly any sauce is on it - making it very dry. The red you see is the meat and there is no sauce layer underneath.
When the pizza smells so good, you rethink your decision to not eat in. I couldn't resist a car bite!

A long time ago I came to Chicago and wanted to know what the hell deep dish was all about. I hit up one of my homies from Chicago and said "hey I'm here in Chicago, where the F*#^ do I go for deep dish?" He said - "you know what, to tell you the truth, I don't even know. I usually just go to The Art of Pizza" I've been coming to the Art of Pizza ever since.I don't know if it's the best. I think I tried that one deep dish place everyone talks about all the time once in Chicago and I thought it was whatever. I like Art of Pizza. To be honest, the best deep dish pizzas I've ever had are a couple different places in California.

I was 10, we Lived on Fletcher/Paulina and my uncle ordered from this new place called the ART OF PIZZA. What kind of weak name is that? Also what kind of weird pizza is this? But man oh man was it good. I'd never had anything like that. After that first experience and then several hundred throughout the years living in Lakeview, the quality remained constant. I must not be the only person who thinks that because over 30 years later, they are still attracting Chicagoans for lunch and dinner. My recent trip to Chicago, I had the pleasure of eating here for the last time and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic portions, great price, gorgeous flavors and traditional dining room. Take me back to when I was young.

Kicking us out at 10:30pm is wild. And the hours said they close at 11pm. My friend can't even finish his slice of pizza because the bus boy said the manager gets mad that we're still here. It's like a pretty bad experience.

My man and I stopped in tonight and we ordered a large thin crust cheese to go. It was perfect! The crunch on the crust was everything. I'd highly recommend this place to dine in as well because it's nice and spacious. They also have a parking lot for those wondering. I know it can get hectic finding parking on date nights in the city.

We recently had lunch at Art of Pizza. We ordered the Chicken Parm Special, which comes with a salad. We had enough to take half of it home. The salad is larger than most; you're almost full when you finish. The price is right, and the people who work there are friendly. They'll get your order out in no time. There's plenty of room, so you'll never wait for a table.

I have been coming to the Art of Pizza for YEARS, and there has not been one time that I have come that I haven't enjoyed everything I've eaten. Granted, I've only eaten their pizza, but that's what they're known for. They have a selection of Chicago style & thin crust pizzas for purchase by the slice . I love that they usually have a veggie Chicago style up there as well as the usual pepperoni and sausage. The crust is flaky, the sauce is savory, and the toppings are plentiful. I feel like all restaurants prices have gone up exponentially in the last two years, but Art of Pizza still keeps their prices affordable for a quick lunch. There is a parking lot right in front. They take cash or card, and the staff is fast and never hesitates to answer any questions. The inside isn't fancy, but is always clean and I have never had a hard time finding a table.

11/11/19 - I went back today to The Art of Pizza (TAOP) to try their thin crust pizza. TAOP has a variety of deep dish and thin crust pizza to try by the slice so you don't need to buy a whole pizza (even though there's nothing wrong with that lol). 02/02/23 - Pizza, pizza who doesn't love pizza, deep dish, thin crust, pan. There is a wealth of options in Chicago for pizza & "Art of Pizza" is near the top of the heap. I love their marinara sauce w/spinach & mushrooms. I also like that you can buy individual slices. $4.99 plus tax is $5.53 for each slice. If you've never been & you enjoy pizza "Art of Pizza" is near the top of the heap. Definitely worth checking out. 4 - 4 1/2 stars
