"I love this bar! Our first visit was during Happy Hour which is actually Happy Hours as it's from 1600-1800. Thanks Village, We appreciate your generosity! We ordered an Old Fashion (me) and Rose Gold(husband) Cocktail with HH Deviled Eggs, Popcorn Shrimp and Chicken Sliders. All of the above had steep discounts during this time slot. Still hungry we ordered the Village Burger which was delicious and juicy. Our last visit was Wednesday after 1800 so no discounts, of course, but we were excited to try some more cocktails. This time I had a Brown Derby (two if I'm being honest) and a Manhattan(husband). Once again, they were prepared skillfully. We ordered the Cobb Salad and Popcorn Shrimp for dinner and we left two happy campers. It's a pub with good vibes and very knowledgeable bartenders.5 luxardo Cherries!"
"Went here my partner. I'm not a bar person, but we were told their food was really good. So we ordered a Burger and fries. One of the best decisions I've made in my life! Their burgers are one of the best I've ever had! And their fries are delicious too! Whenever I'm around, I stop here... Just writing this out is making my mouth water."

"Words cannot explain how much I'd loved the food here and the ambiance and the service. Just everything! Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and some well-deserved promotions at work and we couldn't have chosen a better place on a lovely Saturday brunch-filled morning. .We arrived and we're escorted to the second floor which opened up to a cozy but at the same time tall ceiling Place filled with art and random exotic plants and happy customers eating delicious food. We ordered a few appetizers which were pretty delicious, but the star of the show for me was their spend on a Nashville hot open face chicken sandwich. It was by far the most delicious chicken sandwich I'd eaten in years. The combination of a thick breaded and buttery crust holding very moist chicken was just incredible. I honestly can't even remember what my side dish was or would it taste like even with pictures because that's how focused I was on the chicken sandwich lol My drink was pretty good but I really enjoyed my wife's drink the most because it had hints of elderflower and some really bitter liquor. That was a great balance. I had their take on carrot cake for dessert which was okay.. It wasn't terrible at all, but I wish the portions were a little bigger. Overall, I cannot wait to spend another Saturday or Sunday brunch at the Love."
"Amazing!!! Pure Awesome Sauce!! Thank you, Kaitlin & Kira!!! The food & service were excellent and we will be back!!! That Peanut Butter & Jelly Bacon Cheeseburger sent me to the moon as it was super luscious and out of this world delicious The Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is also a must try!!!! psst they mentioned adding grape soda to the whiskey.. another experience!! I'm definitely gonna try that. Today!! Cool spot with cool vibes! Definitely pop in here for this burger experience!! You will not be disappointed. I promise."
"Popped in for a few drinks after having dinner a few blocks down. Super cool decor and fun specialty cocktails. It was crowded on a Saturday night with people playing pool and people at the upstairs and downstairs bars. We typically go to the upstairs bar and were able to get a couple stools up there. We had to wait a bit for service, but it was as expected on a busy night. A cool place to go for happy hour and the food looked good too."
"I have tried the white dog cafe in university city so I was super excited to find out that they had another location in Wayne. The interior is so cute and filled with cute dog portraits. There's a nice bar inside and plenty of tables for dining. We opted for the brunch hours and ordered the deviled eggs, eggs Benedict and my bf got the steak and eggs. I tried his piece of steak and was super impressed with the cut and how it was cooked. The deviled eggs had caviar on top and it tasted just as good as it looked. Overall a great dining experience"
"Came here with some family because my brother lives in this neighborhood. I am a vegetarian and got a veggie burger here. This is a veggie burger, not fake meat (so no beyond or impossible). Honestly, this was just wasn't too my taste and I probably won't be back. The veggie burger just wasn't that good and fell apart. I would prefer beyond or impossible. It was also annoying that my burger took a lot longer than the regular burger. Just not my favorite. My family seemed to love the regular burger."
"Excellent customer service here. Before coming into the establishment, my friends and I saw a poor woman on the ground. She was already being properly helped and all we could do was wish her well. It was extremely hot on this day.Even though the food wasn't on-par for some of my friends, it was well done for what Nifty Fiftys is and I felt it deserves 5 stars even though it was 4 stars for me personally.I had a take out soda of vanilla creme and toasted marshmallow which was delicious (unpictured) in addition to bubblegum and cotton candy which was also good. The soda flavor combinations and milkshake flavors are "innumerable" and that is why you come here!I mean, you could try out a cookie dough lemonade, if you so dare!Their burgers are respectable but I like Charlie's down the street more and some of the mainstream fast food ones lol. I purposely picked one with lettuce and tomato in it this time around. I thought onion rings were included on the side but that was extra and too much food. Was going to pick food off my relatives instead but they never finish theirs and it just went to waste :(One of my friends didn't like the filet mignon because it was too "diner" like for him. So it made me sense that the food was done well but just not his preference and that Nifty Fiftys is literally a diner type setting. So very appropriate food.Another one of my friends didn't like her chicken cheesesteak and she was the one who chose the place cause she misses Chee Chee Burger. Across the street almost is Delco steaks but they don't have sit down or little placemats for kids to use. Sometimes experiences are more about time spent together with other people than the food."
"We came here for lunch. It was such a great experience. The prices are great for what you get. They offer milkshakes, burgers, chicken and more."
"Classic cheesesteak joint on the corner in a seedy neighborhood, gotta love Philly! Maybe if I didn't know any better, this place would receive more stars, but we're looking at is pretty average stuff here. Shaved ribeye isn't too thick and certainly not chopped. Therefore, NO MELT! Fail! Now maybe if the meat had a flavor that could stand-out on its own, we could allow this to pass, but this is only a step or two above boxed frozen crap from the supermarket. Not enough salt and just an average meaty taste. Some of the onions were cooked perfectly while some were nearly raw. The difference in textures was distracting and raw onion is not as good as cooked. Mayo was available in a self-serve condiment pump can and was absolutely disgusting. DO NOT use this mayo, it will ruin anything it touches. Free hot peppers always recommended. There are two windows for ordering, and you need to know which one to go to to order steaks or side orders. Luckily, this rookie rolled up to the correct window by accident, and was able to figure out the process by watching others make mistakes and then get corrected by all the pros who were there waiting for their steaks and fried foods near their respective windows. For a cheesesteak place that's open 24 hours, it's a nice location off the highway and not a bad option. Just not going to be one of my regular stops."
"Pretty good place to stop in for some drinks and watch a Sunday night football game. The menu for food and drinks are available through your phone. Pretty decent selection of local brews which is nice. Pretty much wall to wall TVs so you can watch whatever game you want.I wasn't incredibly hungry so I ordered the fried pickle chips (6). The batter was seasoned really well and not incredibly greasy. The pickles were juicy and crisp. The service was good. I'd certainly consider coming back if I'm in the area."
"I heard great things about this place and finally I got the chance to try it. Let's just say the hype is worth it. The pizza came as a square (like the name suggests). We had a mushroom and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was super thick. Definitely, the crust and bottom are to die for with the crispy/doughy goodness."

I made a reservation here for a party of four people. We ordered a bunch of appetizers : tater tots , deviled eggs and the charcuterie board. The tots were so soft on the inside and almost airy like. 10/10 in my book. I'm still thinking about them. However I wish the charcuterie board had more than three pieces of salami on it and perhaps crackers as well. For entrees we ordered the steak frites which were delicious. The fries were perfection and the steak was cooked medium rare just like how I asked. I definitely want to try the burger next time. All in all I really liked Village Whiskey

What a beautiful Stephen Starr restaurant located right in Rittenhouse. While everyone loves Parc on Rittenhouse Square, this place does offer a similarly interesting menu. The place was very busy for a Monday afternoon when we arrived. Slowly around 2pm the lunch rush left and we were left to a pretty desolate restaurant. The waiter was very attentive the whole time and didn't rush us out.I ordered the Nashville hot chicken (Take Me Away) and man it was so delicious. I don't even want to think about the amount of calories in this dish but it was perfectly crispy and was coated with spice (they didn't lie about the heat). The chicken came on a nicely toasted bread with some pickles on the side. I could only eat half the dish in one sitting. They really packed two big pieces of chicken. The salad I ordered as a side was also super fresh and well done. It was a cucumber and feta salad that came with pickled onions (always a highlight on a dish) and this amazing vinaigrette you just have to try.

Potato croquettes were amazing, but we only got 3 for $11. Wife got the steak and fries. Great flavor, but steak was a little tough. I got the scallops - AMAZING. Great drink selection, great service, and the terrace was very nice. We felt like it was a little pricey for what we got, but I'd go back.

A good burger from a SPOT I didn't know existed. Nice burger especially if you're in the area with a lot of options and customizations. Would definitely eat it again, the ingredients tasted fresh and the greens had a good crunch to them. A good fry with a burger is important and this place had that.Couldn't forget the bev, calypso Ocean Blue Lemonade!

We first went to Nifty Fifty's...over 35 years ago?...and I'm pleased to report it's much more like it always was than different, which is good. You don't get enormous burgers but they're more like burgers used to be before fast food and fast casual took over the burger space, and that's fine. The spicy cheese fries are still the lovable cholesterol-laden delicious treat I remembered. The chili is still bland but tasty. The shakes are still great. The 'hiya hon' service has survived and is being administered by the third generation, at least, of servers. And it's also an impossibly crowded and hard to navigate parking lot, you probably will have to wait to get in, and the booths, while the same size they always were, seem to have gotten more cramped. (Maybe because I ate too many Nifty Fifty's burgers back in the day instead of exercising and eating kale.) This was always the downside of coming here, and it's also exactly the same.We alas did not have a chance to get breakfast, which I remember as more laid-back, but we had a good time talking with random strangers, which is always lovely. Nifty's is a safe space; it's almost meta-nostalgia now, but unlike most such places, this one has withstood the test of time and remains true to its basic character.

"I have been reading about this place on the Philly subreddit, and the Al Pastor pizza totally lived up to the hype. I only had the appetite for 1 small pizza but plan to try their other specialties like the Chicken Mole Burrito and Birria Pizza soon. We ate it at one of the outdoor tables but take out/delivery is probably the best option as seating is limited and the pizzas are served HOT! Service is not the fastest but I don't blame them as they are super popular and busy. So make sure you order ahead of time."
"Burgers and shakes, the combo really can't be beat! I was honestly most blown away by the vegan milkshakes, they have so many options! We got the vegan mint cookie milkshake and it could have fooled me- thought there was whole milk in there any everything! The always sunny on EPA burger with the perfectly cooked over easy egg is a must. The yolk on top is so good! Nadia was our server and she was excellent and helped us out with any questions we had on the menu"
"Food was authentic South Philly. Great sandwiches, pizza was old school and salads was huge. Cocktails were healthy. Service was prompt, consistent and friendly. Sat in the area with garage doors, great view, cool vibe watching the street. Owner stopped by and was quite nice."
"I ordered from Lee's Deli because I know they have carrot cake made by the mythical "carrot cake man". The carrot cake man has been selling his carrot cakes on public transportation for many years. I didn't just order the carrot cake. I ordered a sampling of desserts along with an Italian hoagie. It is a deli after all. The Italian hoagie was a good hoagie, but nothing memorable. It will not be my go-to spot for an Italian. It seems none of the desserts are made in house, but they definitely know where to get them from The carrot cake was the same cake I remembered from years back. Very moist with the best cream cheese icing I've ever tasted. The red velvet and pound cake were also outstanding cakes. Right up there with the best Amish cakes. The sweet potato pie was just OK. I wouldn't get that again. I had 3 outstanding desserts, so no complaints there. But the deli part doesn't seem to be up to that very high bar."
"If you are looking for a superb service, this sometimes could be it but typically you're not gonna get that... However, if you're looking for awesome food and your typical dive bar, you have found your location, Don't skip a beat on ordering the wings, pig wings or the best Burger around."
"Vegan vegan vegan. With only one review on here using the word, it's time to draw attention. There are vegan options here. The veggie burger, vegetable wrap, and red pepper hummus with pita are all vegan. Yay!If you're into meat, you've got loads of options. Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. Friendly service too. G'ahead, give it a try."
"We ordered delivery to our airbnb from here and enjoyed it. They were able to cut the pizza into 16ths for our kids which was nice. My friend ordered a chicken wrap which I tried a bite of and it was delicious and it was a nice size. Perfect quick dinner for the family."
"This is long overdue. The sandwich I had here may not look like much but it was warm and cheesy and so delicious with the addition of the avocado. Only saving a star due to the price and the server wasn't the easiest to get ahold of.The restaurant itself is filled with plants, and would be a terrific place for a lunch date or meeting. Or a simple brunch."
"We decided to take stroll in Chinatown and find something to eat. We had no luck either restaurants didn't look appetizing or they didn't let us order when we walked in. We ended up ordering Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse via Uber Eats. We ordered BBQ Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and a Chicken Quesadilla. The wings were ok. I wish they were fried hard and then tossed in bbq sauce. The mozzarella sticks were oddly huge and there was way too much cheese. Plus the itty bitty marinara sauce they gave us was laughable . I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. It was awesome. The sautéed chicken, caramelized onions, and three cheese blend sent my palate to places I'd never think bar food could. The quesadilla was massive and stuffed to the brim. For bar food this place is expensive."
"I'm a huge fan of Luhv's lunch meat. Unfortunately, they don't sell their lunch meat by the pound anymore, at this location. So, after walking the RTM a couple of times I settled on an Italian hoagie from LUHV. A very friendly man with beautiful locs waited on me. There wasn't a wait so my sandwich was ready pretty quickly. I believe it was $13 which I consider pricey, but most vegan food is expensive. In the past, I've always purchased my lunch meat and made my hoagies at home, so I was curious to see how this hoagie compared. The sandwich was a good size. The sandwich came with a couple of different types of vegan Italian lunch meat, vegan provolone, lettuce, tomatoes and lots of onions. It also came with a smidgen of vegan mayo. (Is there a vegan mayo shortage?) The roll was very dense, and I'm sad to say that the sandwich was very dry. The bread completely took over the sandwich, and the bread to lunch meat ratio was completely off. I was really hungry, so I did finish the sandwich, but it didn't knock my socks off. Needless to say, I was disappointed. So, in the future if I can get my hands on LUHV's lunch meat I'll make my own sandwich, at home. Otherwise, I'll skip this spot next time I'm at the RTM."
"Wishbone has some of the best crispy fried chicken. But I go for the salads!! Fantastic food all around and a huge selection of premium drinks. And most importantly, it is always served with a smile!!"
"I placed my order through Uber eats and I live up five flights of stairs so I called the store to see if they could give me a call when they arrived so I could come down and get it, and that's exactly what they did. Everyone was pleasant and the wings are great. Pizza was nice and in my preferred shape (square). I like it more than del rossi's. They were slammed on a Friday which I expected, but delivery was still pretty fast and they were very communicative."
"Delicious fried chicken! I recently went here to get the tikku chicken to go. The ambiance is plain but plenty of seating. Given the spiciness of the wings, I wish the store had pitchers of water available for customers if needed. I got my chicken within the promised 15 minutes and absolutely loved it. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, sweet, and spicy-make sure to have plenty of napkins! Although a bit pricy at over $18 after tax, I got a good portion. CM Chicken also has the added advantage of being by Drexel's campus and a four-block walk to 30th St. Station (and the best-looking restaurant nearby if you need food)."
"So this place was a bit of a let down for me. The décor was nice and the service was fast and friendly. But they were out of several appetizers and sides. No Mac and cheese bites, no tater tots, no onion rings etc. I went on a Sunday afternoon and we had reservations. The price point for the sides was also excessive for the size. I ended up getting truffle fries and it was $12 for the fries pictured. I could see if it was a basket or something but it was a very small serving for that price point. The burger was good and the price was reasonable at $15I don't think I'll be back."
"I just got take out but when I walked in it definitely felt like a fun bar where everyone talks to each other. I made the blackened chicken salad a wrap and it was really good! It was smaller than I expected but it was a great size for me. It was also WAY healthier than expected which was also great."
"A great little dive bar! Affordable food and drinks and there is a pool table upstairs. Great local spot"
"Quick, meaty, and made to order. I cannot comment on dine-in, however, Barry's Steaks has you covered on take out.I made a quick stop on the way to catch up with friends at Barry's. I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie. I liked how they offered a mini alongside a regular, however, given this trip was my first visit, I opted for a regular. They turned the order around in about 5 minutes and I was on my way. The cheesesteak hoagie delivered a ton of meat alongside the usual hoagie fixings. It tasted great and given the size and price was a good value. Service was friendly, but again I was only in and out in a few minutes.Alongside the usual cheesesteak, hoagie, burger options, they do sell their own soda. These sodas are throwbacks imo with flavors like black cherry, white birch, etc. I'd say they are willing to give as try as well.I cannot say if I'll be dining in at Barry's anytime soon. However, I will be in for take out in the near future."
"Located smack dab in Ardmore downtown. This place offers brunch at a reasonable price. There was a 30 minute wait but that is anticipated when going anywhere for brunch on a weekend. The place doesn't accept reservations so first come first serve!I got a parfait and oatmeal. Both were brought out quickly and tasted pretty good. The pancakes at the place looks pretty amazing."
"Burgers here are so so good. I need to stop going as it's definitely ruining my non-diet. They also have great shakes and smoothies. Also, it's clean inside, they're friendly, and quick!"
"When you choose a restaurant that you haven't been to, nor heard of, you never know what you're going to get. When picking up pizzas for the hospital staff at HUP for lunch, I choose wisely- so much, that for dinner, I ordered in more pizzas for the evening staff. The cheese pizza is not too thin, and not to thick- it's just right. In total, I ordered 5 large pizzas- 2 cheese, white with ricotta, white with ricotta and spinach, and a pepperoni. The staff LOVED the pizzas. To give this review, I needed to taste- just a bite because I'm gluten intolerant. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The pizzas go through an oven on a conveyor belt and what comes out is delicious. A large is 16". Located by the University of Pennsylvania campus, it's going to be a hit. The prices are about 20% higher than the sweet spot for a college or grad student, as well as the average joe or jane. Nonetheless, the pizzas are delicious."
"A place that makes you feel welcome. Everyone from the time I entered until my departure was very pleasant and professional. The vibe in the dining area is an eclectic mish mosh of Afrocentric neo soul collection. In my head played Marvin Gaye's What's going on, Public Enemy Fight the Power, anything by Nina Simone, bringing it into a smooth groove On & On by Erykah Badu, Far Away Kindred the Family Soul with Jilly from Philly (Queen Jill Scott) simply bringing down the house. Yes that went on internally while I waited in line!My order was simply delicious, man I never knew vegetarian could be so easy. We had the Veggie Sausage Stir Fry with Peppers and Quinoa. Gave some to momma, she smacked herself! Yep that good. There was this delicious slaw with my order. So people make your way to Atiya Ola's Spirit First Foods, leave your ketchup and hot sauce home it ain't needed here Atiya Ola is serving it up like Serena!"
"What stood out the most? The customer service was great! A majority of the staff here is less than 30 years old please don't that deter you. Each person we encountered was helpful and attentive. I walked in to inform the staff I would be bringing in a disabled person. They immediately sprung into action carving out a secure section for them. While I parked my car my guest was offered a complimentary soft drink while they wait for me. NICE TOUCH!As a starter we had the buffalo cauliflower, yum! We both ordered the Chesapeake Crab Cake sandwich with fries and enjoyed it. The lemonade was very tasty not overly sweet but flavorful. Our portions were adequate and served hot. The decor is modern and bright with minimal decorations which works for the space. I found Veganish very clean from the door to the open kitchen. A hard task considering on this day they were very busy. I don't live in the area but I will return and recommend others give it a try!"
""Wait, which is the pizzeria everyone loves? Lorenzo's in the Italian Market or Lorenzo & Sons on South Street?""I think it's the one on South.""Oh yeah....Hold on, I'm thinking of Lazaro's on South Street. I'm confused."And so we set out to try them all on a pizza crawl. We shared a cheese slice at each stop in order to pace ourselves. Lorenzo's was our last stop. I don't think I'd ever had their pizza before. After the gargantuan slices oozing with cheese at the other two places, Lorenzo's slice was aesthetically the least impressive. The slice was a reasonable portion--I can't call it small--and was just $2.50. (An XL 18" pie is only $14.)But what it lacked in looks this slice made up for in flavor. We both liked it best of the three. The sauce was the secret weapon. I found something comforting and familiar about it. It wasn't sweet and had more tomato flavor. You could also see the herbs and spices on the slice, which improved the flavor. The crust was a bit thicker than the others but was crispy and good."
