"I'm giving this place 4 stars because it's the perfect explanation of a hole in the wall bar. That's not an insult I promise, I love a good ole hole in the wall bar that is comfortable and laid back. The bartender was very attentive to us even while she was busy running the bar alone, she even brought us some drinks while we were playing a game of pool(I won). The dj Charlie I believe is his name, was extra friendly as he asked us for a song request...I told him to play something by randy Travis and to my amazement he didn't gawk at me, he did however play Digging up bones which apparently everyone in the bar was also a fan of. The music wasn't too loud this time but I know when they have live performances it's way louder than I can handle. Mostly everyone was playing darts inside and nothing else was going on outside probably because it's just too damn hot for that. The biggest complaint is the parking lot, it's got some big craters or pot holes, call it what you want but just drive really slow. I don't think they have a kitchen serving food but I could be wrong. I will be back in the fall"
"I come here all the time. Great atmosphere... good drinks.. different food vendors and a mature and sexy crowd!"

It appears as though they just open. It's also BYOB, and they have hookah. The ladies were very sweet. So I can definitely say that they had some good service. I see myself coming back again."
"My friends and I ended up at Sunset after a day of day drinking. Ironically, it was right before sunset when we arrived which made for beautiful views. This is a rooftop bar so you have the option of stairs or an elevator. We underestimated the stairs which were no easy feat, especially after the walking we did earlier. Coming in from the stairs or elevator, you walk right into the bar. It is not big by any means, but we never felt crowded. There was a couple of tables inside to set up shop, but we came for the patio and the views. Outside is a decent sized rooftop patio that gives spectacular views of south downtown as well as Truck Yard's cool patio and ferris wheel. They had a DJ spinning some good tunes which made it an even better all around vibe. There's plenty of seating and we were able to snag a nice couch area. I imagine it might be hard to snag a seat later in the evening.Omar was our bartender for the evening and he definitely has the gift of slinging drinks. It was supposed to be a one and done drink spot for us, but he was making our drinks so good, we made a night out of it. My first drink was the classic old fashioned. It was tasty, but I wish they had the proper ice for the drink. Later on, I told him to make his best rum drink, and he made his own concoction which was absolutely divine and also everyone's favorite. I tried little sips of my friends drinks here and there and everything was good. We are already planning a return visit because this place was pretty great!"
"Night out with my friend was a success. This 25+ spot is always a vibe. They have hookah, attentive service, and a good amount of seating. The dj is always on point, and the drinks are always strong! They have a photobooth, games and swings. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you want a chill place with good vibes."
"Urban smoke is owned by the same person (Ashley) that owns Urban Social right next door. I frequent Urban Social so once Urban Smoke opened it was easy to transition to the new business. Thus is a cigar lounge with a full bar, hookah, a members only area and live entertainment on some nights. It is a very top notch establishment and a must visit if you are a cigar smoker."
"This place recently opened within a stone's throw of my work. I'm not a huge daiquiri fan per se but filed away for when I might want to check it out. A smallish store front, I thought it might just be a counter to grab and go. Turns out there's more than meets the eye! With limited afternoon/evening hours, it does have a nice inside bar-like space with comfortable seating (see photos), along with tables and table games and a few TVs. I was by myself (waiting for a car repair at a nearby garage) so I sat at a comfortable bar stool (the owner/server was a great conversation). It is not a large place, so not a place to come to mix and mingle but rather with a group to enjoy each other's company. The location is on a corner, so they have a drive through (when I was there, a few people stopped by). Great to grab for home happy hour and not have to worry about making drinks for you and yours. Parking is plentiful along the strip center. It's hard to see from Bay Area Blvd, it's on the same corner as Circle K (with access from both BAB and Space Center). On to the drinks. Wow, very tasty. Great mixture, no overbearing alcohol flavor. I got the medium for what I think was $10 and a great value (as good as a mixed drink or large beer in any other bar). I did the Mai Tai and Pina Colada. First of all, two drinks big red warning (I got my second to go so it didn't hit me until later in the evening). They are strong. But the taste was great, and with their diverse menu something for everyone.I can say best in class and I'm looking to go at the next opportunity so 5 stars for me!"
"I was in the area had been on my feet all day so I Said.. self you need a break. Stop in and see what's shaken. So I did. When you walked in the atmosphere seemed very relaxing. The young lady working was very friendly and welcoming. I am not sure if she is a connoisseur but that was ok. The cigar vault carried a good selection however very limited. But despite the inventory there was always constant foot traffic. The swatting was very comfortable especially for these tired feet as you may see in the photo. And yes I am wearing seersucker pants-and I look good in them..If I'm in the area I would definitely come back-if I'm in the mood for a long relaxing smoke..."
"Love this place. Great community to connect with in the heart of Houston Heights! 10/10 recommend!"
"We spent a fair amount of time here the last time were were in town. This place is great to meet up with people, have a drink or a meal."
"I was invited to Serious Cigars by a couple of friends that I met earlier last month. We were at a tailgate and all 3 of us were smoking a few cigars and I was told about an event to be held here so I decided to stop in and meet up with them. It was a little hard to find as it sits off to the back off of FM 1960 but eventually I found it. The parking was fine unlike one of the reviews I read. As I entered I was greeted and I proceeded to one of the smoking lounges. There is a very large humidor which seemed to be fulled stocked. I had brought my own cigars so I didn't need to purchase any. To my surprise there was a live band! They played 80's & 90's music. Toward the back of one of the lounges there was a table setup with several bottles of liquor. None of it seemed familiar to me so I relied on one of the guys there to suggest something. He suggested Twenty Grand Black vodka and it was very sooth. It is actually vodka infused with cognac. It was so good that I went out to find a bottle but it took a few days to actually track one down! It went perfect with my Drew Estate Lava cigar! So my "friends" never did show up but it was a still a good visit and another bookmark for a later visit."

I always enjoy Nowhere. It's a cool low key place and only a few mins from my house. I typically go during the day, but anytime there is worth checking out.

Not a bad little spot to go hang out and enjoy hookah if that's your thing! The crowd is a little older but very chill and laid back ... the music is a little bit ol skool and new skool and the DJ was fantastic. Drinks are are on avg. about $10 and the bartender and owner are super chill! Would def go backd

The ambiance here is simply delightful. Ms. Thai and the team are truly exceptional. Their attention to detail when it comes to beverages is impressive, and the cuisine is absolutely scrumptious. I cannot praise the experience enough. It is certainly a worthwhile investment. I am looking forward to returning for another visit.

Could've sworn I'd written a review for Sunset before but anyhoo...I really enjoy Sunset because just like the namesake, I love a beautiful sunset on a rooftop setting. Each time I've come here the Dj's have had a good mix of music and a chill vibe to the crowd. One day I came there was a group of older ladies there & they were ready to parrrtaaaaay baby. Had the whole place lit!! LOL Another random day I was solo on the roof & then 3 people came up. The one guy was filming a video for his new Latin style music video. The other 2 were the camera crew. We jokingly added me as the "sexy eyes, cocktail in hand" lady in the video. It was hilarious.Bartenders are cool. I can only think of one bad service experience but noticed over a month or so after the bartender was no longer there. Good drinks at nice prices for the area. If you're ready to just chill out and have fun with a crowed of all kinds, head over to Sunset. Yelp on my friends!

Always a vibe. R&B Monday's is nice and I love the lemon drops. Velvet seating for sections, Hookah service and there's a food truck located in the parking lot.

Went to Urban for a birthday gathering on a Saturday night. We made reservations, so there were no issues with seating. The hostesses was very accommodating to sitting out larger party so that was very much appreciated. It is cozy, but a bit small and hard to move around once it gets crowded...but as long as you have a table you'll be fine. Now, to the drinks....a great variety and worth the $. The music is great and they also have a live band. They offer hookah and cigars in the cigar room if you're into it.

This is my to-go daiquiris shop to visit and the prices and the lovely people working there are the reasons why I love going. Not to mention the drinks are delicious! The small drinks are $8, the medium is $10, and its $12 for a large and these are good portions for the daiquiri! The flavors are so delicious and I think my top two favorites would be the Vice Miami and Pina Colada. Additionally, the jello shots are $3 and super strong and yummy! With Hookah the lunch price for hookah is $15, but for dinner time its $20. Very reasonably priced! They also have wine, beer and cocktails! I haven't tried the cocktails, but I'm planning to the next time I go back because they look super delicious. It's overall a cute little hole-in-the-wall place to be at with cute little games, comfortable atmosphere, delicious drinks, hookah and wonderful people working behind the counter. My absolute favorite place to be at, and I can't wait to bring my friends with me!
Visit Restaurant Page"Came here on a Friday night and we were a bit early, so it started off pretty empty. The vibes were great and the music was soooooo good! Service was okay and the food and drinks were good. The bill came and gratitude was included despite there only being 3 of us. It was fun watching everyone be entertained and enjoy the scenery. Not sure we would come back!"
"A whole vibe!I came here with my sister because we were in town for a wedding and had been seeing that it touted by our favorite Ig sister Charlye Lynne. Of course we had to come visit! The vibes of this place were unmatched. The ambiance was dim and sexy. We even noticed there was a hidden speakeasy on the other side. There are so many places to take aesthetically pleasing photos including the restroom, which was an absolute beauty. I particularly loved the gold fixtures. Design 10/10. For dinner, I ordered the lobster ravioli, grilled asparagus, and Sauvignon blanc. We had the vanilla butter cake but unfortunately they were out of ice cream so we didn't get the full flavor of what that dessert is supposed to taste like but I'm sure the ice cream definitely would've complimented the cake as it was rich in texture. The lobster ravioli was pretty tasty and my asparagus was grilled perfectly. Our server was amazing and attentive. He lead us through a secret path to check out the speakeasy. We only peeked in for a few seconds as it was packed but it was a hidden lounge in there and quite lively. I wish we could have stayed longer but nonetheless it was a great time and I will definitely be back."
"I was looking for somewhere to go for happy hour and I found this place nearby. They have soooo many delicious options for HH. We got 3 different rolls, 2 orders of Ube chips, calamari, edemane, tuna tartare, spicy shrimp, lychee martini, and a Ube soufflé. The tuna tartare was to die for. I mean really, cooked to perfection. The best thing I had tonight. My lychee Martini was nice and smooth. Def felt a tipsy 30 minutes later haha! The service was also very very good. Forgot the bartenders name but she was very kind & patient with us! Also, the restaurant is very pretty as well. The only thing I disliked was the Ube soufflé. I love Ube and it caught my attention when I saw it on the menu. The bartender did mention it would take 30 minutes to make but I def don't think it was worth the wait. But other than that everything was great. I would definitely recommend this place to others!"
"I learned about Segreto when I ate at Lombardi's grand opening. Segreto means secret in Italian and this is a hidden/secret speakeasy bar that is connected to Lombardi. You can enter Segreto two ways. From the right side of Lombardi or some VIPs are taken through the kitchen. The ambiance curates the sexiest vibe and will make you surrender to Segreto's enchantment. They have live music going all night long, upscale dress code to honor as they want you to dress for the experience you would like to have. They have exquisite sashimi and caviar that pairs perfect with their meticulously hand crafted cocktails. I had 7 pink dragons and two shots casa migos. Which is why you see me laying on the concrete after I left Lol.A good time was definitely had here! Going back is a must. This time I will stick to a two drink maximum. Lol"
"Love the dance lessons offered at no cost and drinks are good as well.,, definitely will be going back"
"Probably my spot to get cigars in H-town. Their selection and prices are affordable and favorable towards cigar-lovers; some of the favorite brands such as Cohiba and Rocky Patel are here. Not to mention the lounge area is inviting and cozy. My buddy and I had a cigar here while we watched some college basketball on tv; felt like we were high rollers for a minute in those leather chairs. No doubt Im a believer!"
"Ok, this was my first hookah experience ever, so, I'm not real sure how the set up is supposed to work, but I'm just gonna tell you about it and you can either roll with it or scroll past it. First, GPS got us there pretty seamlessly, so it wasn't too hard for us to find, though without GPS, we might've missed it. There's a sign on the front door that says no alcohol or illegal drugs on the property. Just thought that this might be a good tip, since, as I understand it, some hookah spots allow BYOB. Not this one, apparently.Anyway, we walked in and it was definitely a younger crowd, though, we'll use the term "crowd" loosely as there were really only a handful of people in there. There were groups of couches around tables, at least one TV, and those paper party streamers hanging across the ceiling. We strolled up to the counter and there was a laminated sheet of paper taped to the counter with the list of flavors. There was a drink cooler behind the counter with bottled waters and sodas for sale along with those little 35 cent bags of chips. My husband let the guy know that it was my first time, but he just kinda stood there and nodded his head. He didn't really offer up any suggestions or go out of his way to be helpful, so I just picked Vanilla. The guy was also visibly agitated at some point by the fact that a couple of guys kept walking in and out the door. Then we paid the $16 and he told us he'd bring it out to us. We sat there for a while. I mean, I didn't time it or anything, but there was no on else ahead of us. But, hey, maybe it takes a while to set it up. Then when he brought it out to us, he stood there and smoked on it for a minute. While he was standing there puffing on our hookah, he tells the other guy that was working there to set up the hookah for the people who came in after us. Finally, he hands it over to us and tells me not to inhale it. We start trying it out and then the same guy comes out holding another hookah and tells us to wait. Apparently he was worried that he mixed our hookah up with the other people's. So he takes it from us and starts puffing on ours and then theirs and back on ours again to try and distinguish between the two flavors. All I'm saying is, it seemed a little suspect. Anyway, my husband told him that it seemed like we got the right flavor, so he took another drag, set it back down and walked the other hookah to those other dudes. I, personally, couldn't tell you what flavor we had, because I couldn't taste much of anything. Also, the couch was super uncomfortable with springs jabbing up through the thin leather/pleather material. I'm not trying to negate other people's reviews, but I am real shocked that this place got all 5-star reviews before this one. I mean, really, some of the words that other reviewers used to describe this place seems like they were visiting a completely different place than where we were. The one good thing I can say about this place was they definitely had some good music. They basically played an entire Lecrae album while we were there and some other techno-inspired music that had a nice beat and mellow vibe. I'll try hookah again, but probably not here."
"Had a great time! Will definitely be back for more Tuesday nights at E2!! Good vibe, adult cried. Come check it out!"
"Cru has great food at late hours for the turn up party crowd!! Amazing music. Good hookah. And great drinks. I've never not had a great time when I can stay out past my bedtime!!!!"
"Fellas, if you want to impress a lady, dinner at Brenner's is an awesome place to go. Brenner's is an upscale steakhouse located on the bayou with as picturesque of a view as you're going to get in Houston. I've been on a date there once and they have open windows throughout the restaurant so you can see the bayou and the hills of grass. Attached to the restaurant is a trendy bar called Blue. I went to Blue for a networking event and they have happy hour from 5-7 PM. Their signature cocktails are $7 and beer is cheaper. I had several cocktails including a Southern Tea (Firefly vodka, tea, etc.) and a Pear Martini. There is a bar, several tables, and lounge seats. If you're in the sitting area, there are waitresses to take your order or there are some seats at the bar. They also have a good amount of food on the happy hour consisting of apps, skewers, and oyster shooters for the most part. I went with the Mongolian beef skewers and the parmesan fries. The skewers were flavorful, you get three of them, but they were relatively small. On the other hand, the portion size for the parmesan fries was generous so two items off the happy hour menu was more than enough for me. This is an expensive spot so you're getting a great deal during happy hour. Our waitress, Raven, was awesome. She's been working at Blue for 6 months but it seemed like she had been working there for years. She checked up on us frequently and always when our drinks were running on empty. We had good conversation with her, she's really friendly. When we moved to a table, she still stopped by to check up on us. Once the sun goes down, blue lights come on and it now becomes clear why it's called Blue.Parking is valet only ($5) but there's some limited parking on the streets right outside of the restaurant. The only downside minus valet? Blue is outside. I was coming straight from work so I was wearing dress clothes and it's June which means I was definitely sweating. Come July and August might be a little unbearable. Even though they have fans, it's not enough unless you're sitting in the perfect spot."
"On the second floor, this beautiful restaurant is dark and sexy. They offer indoor and terrace seating. Hookah and cigar fun happens on the terrace, too.The drinks are beautifully presented. I enjoyed the Lust while my friend had a Smoky Old Fashioned. The lamb lollipops.... listen, 5/5. The hummus..5/5. I loved the dragonfruit added to the beet salad. For entrees, we had sea bass and salmon. The rice under the salmon wasn't quite hitting but the fish were 5/5.Ali delivered superb service to our table."
"My friend and I found ourselves here yesterday after discovering that Rosewater was closed for patio reconstruction. I have had The Davenport bookmarked for years, and am not sure what took me so long to come check this place out. The Davenport is super chill with a relatively diverse crowd. I was digging the 70s décor. There was a variety of ages in there, but definitely seemed like it draws in an older crowd. They were pretty busy last night, but the bartenders were on it. The bartender that helped us was so good. She was multitasking like a boss! They have paper menus as well as QR codes at various tables to scan. They don't have any servers to bring drinks; you have to order at the bar. They have a huge selection of martinis, cocktails, and shots. My friend had the Smokey Sunset which is a Mezcal cocktail. She really enjoyed it. I had the Cucumber Patch martini with Tajin. Y'all! This drink gave me life! It was so good and strong! After my first one, I wanted to try a different drink, but I'm a creature of habit. I love cucumber drinks and this one was fantastic!! The bartender filled the glass to the brim and it was a bit of a balancing act to bring it back to the table without spilling it (I went 1 for 2 on not spilling the drink lol). They had a corn-hole tournament and karaoke in the back. I'm not sure how often they do the corn-hole tourney, but browsing their IG page, it looks like they do have weekly events like karaoke and anime night (every Thursday). The parking lot is small. Some spaces are reserved for the sleep clinic and there are a couple of spots for the daquiri place so pay attention to where you park. There were people parked on the side street as well as in the back and side of the building in the grass. If you need to get creative with parking, do it. Then get yourself the Cucumber Patch martini and thank me later."
"Now called ELITE LOUNGE, but even when the establishment was called Nomi's it was the spot to be. The crowd is now a sexy adult age (30+) with a real chill atmosphere. Most people here just want a good drink and a good meal after work. There's usually a food truck or chef outside the bar cooking. There's a guy who sell cigars and other baked goods. This is a great place to stop and drink, maybe do a couple of line dances (decent size dance floor), and dinner! Follow them on Instagram. They Karoake Night, Taco Tuesdays, etc."
"It's on the 3rd floor above Alpha desserts building. You can take elevator or stairs. First thing. The place is really nice. Nice seating area inside, very roomy, and nice rooftop patio with lake view. It can get windy up there! There's a good menu but we only ordered drinks. I had the rose champagne with elderberry -- so good. It is sweet. I also got a jalapeño margarita. It was strong and ok. They don't have mezcal btw. All the staff was very sweet and friendly. We definitely want to come back to try their food menu. On a Saturday night it was pretty slow. Music was good inside but there was no music playing outside on the patio, that would've been nicer. When we left at midnight the elevator was not working so we had to walk down 3 flights of stairs buzzed and in stilettos. Overall we had a great time."
"One of my favorite places to come for happy hour because at the time of this review, they offer it daily from 3-6 pm. The bartenders and staff are super friendly. I really enjoy ordering the spicy pineapple margarita. The rosé on the happy hour menu is pretty nice as well. The food is consistently delicious. I really like the green chile shrimp ceviche. The hummus is phenomenal and their pizzas are pretty great too."
"Beautiful hookahs and tasty. The atmosphere is very welcoming, really cool furniture AND THERES FREE WIFI ! This is the new "SPOT". It's chill but also a party room. Ive Never been to a lounge like this one. Theyre open late enough for our night owl spirits . There's a good amount of space for parties . I'm looking forward to hanging with my friends and meeting new people over BYOB drinks at events they host like kareoke , dance nights , African nights and such. The owners are really friendly and caring towards us. Highly recommend the hookah lounge."
"Newest bar in the Energy Corridor. They did an absolutely amazing remodel on the old English pub once here. It is very clean and much more trendy. They have plenty of seating, lots of TVs, a pool table, full bar and patio out back. They are serving food although I think they are still working on a menu. They don't have a sign up outside as of this review but it is indeed open. If you remember what this place was before go check it out and you will be impressed with the improvements. Owner and staff are very friendly. Much needed addition to the energy corridor."
"Good Addition to the Northside. Good Atmosphere with plenty of space. Curvaceous waitresses. Pros: HookahBar Clean restrooms DJHip hip Space for everyone to do their own things Food Free parking Cons: NoneDJ should play more to the audience"
"These drinks are close to the ones I get when I visit Louisiana, not quite there, but a good knockoff. We were in the neighborhood when we searched Yelp (shoutout to Yelp for ALWAYS providing what I need) to find the nearest to go daiquiri spot. In Louisiana we drive-thru to pick up potent slushees and keep it moving. Although this store front did not have a drive thru it gave me the vibe I am accustomed to. The ladies at the counter were laid back and hospitable. Their customer service was splendid. I felt like I had gone to one of my cousin's house to get a drink . The menu was expansive and the beverages did NOT disappoint. I cant remember the name of my daiquiri, but I have a feeling that whatever I select will be on point. Needless to say I WILL be visiting my cousins again when I'm in Humble"
"Perfect atmosphere to get get both the Houstonian and touristic experience. In the heart of third ward it's easy to here and walk and enjoy 3rd ward.Pros:The Houston experience Good variation of music HookahGreat DJsWonderful bartenders Parking Clean restrooms BOBOwner was nice and welcoming tCons:None"
"UPDATE: While ranting and raving about Marfreless, the hubs was told it was a swinger's (friendly) spot by a Houston local. Guess what?! Don't care, loved it here. (lol) Will return!"
"This place looks like a basement. Terrible slow service. Very moody and attitude filled staff. Drinks were nasty. You have to walk up to the bar in order to get your drinks or food. Food took over 1 1/2 hours (chicken wings and chicken tenders). Hookah was listed as one price and I was told another after it was ordered. They have a lot of things to work on. I'd probably never come back even if they fixed everything."
