I don't even know where to begin with this establishment after the low quality experience that my friends and I shared. We actually felt quite offended as black professional women. Our server made several mistakes within our dining experience, but we had patience and gave her grace until our bill was asked to be brought. We then received our bill after she ran the credit card she had on hold,where as the bill contained several inaccurate charges including one that was supposed to be taken care of due to extreme time management issues with service. However, the waitress and the Manager both act like they were senile. and boldly lied to our face and said that they did not make that commitment. The Manager did end up taking the inaccurate drink charges off our bill, but he refused to take the hookah off that we only continued to want after he said he would comp it after it was brought out an hour and a half late. This whole ordeal was an incredibly dissatisfying experience I've had an at an establishment very long time. By the way the manager name was Jay. He needs to be trained how to provide customer service instead of walking away from customers mid conversation.

The service is great and decor nice not tooo far from much of downtown Houston. They have basic apps it's not really good spot definitely a chill spot go get hookah n chill watch game or catch up with friends.

Came here on a Friday night and we were a bit early, so it started off pretty empty. The vibes were great and the music was soooooo good! Service was okay and the food and drinks were good. The bill came and gratitude was included despite there only being 3 of us. It was fun watching everyone be entertained and enjoy the scenery. Not sure we would come back!

Ended my night at Palapas with a friend and had the best experience. Although it was a slow Wednesday, our bartender made the effort to make us feel welcome and to help us have a good time. She even brought hookah and drinks up to us when we decided to look around upstairs and encouraged us to go wherever we felt comfortable since it wasn't too busy. Def made the night fun for us.

Went here to watch a few NFL games this season & had a great experience! Good music, lots of seating, in & outdoor seating available, multiple bar areas so you're not waiting forever to order drinks, & great food! Would recommend!

Please go here if you want to pay for parking, entrance fees and overpriced drinks while getting mediocre to terrible service.I will never step foot in this beautiful establishment again. Although the venue was aesthetically great, the lack of decent service for me, my friends and the people around me helped me come to this conclusion after giving it two opportunities to make it right.

Everything about this place was cheap, except the bill. I don't recommend. They mentioned $1 casamigo shots and when we ordered them they said they weren't doing that special yet. Everything was plastic plates, utensils, cups. Mimosas were not good. The food was not good and was not seasoned.... Over $400 bill and leaving disappointed with the whole experience. Our waitress was nice at least. Might just be a cool spot to hang out at? Idk. But don't expect much.Update: went back for a day party and it was lit ... just don't get food here LOL there was a food truck in the parking lot and THAT food was deliciousss

I ordered wings to go and was charged 20% gratuity. When I paid cash the bar server and she took it upon herself to keep my change. When asked I was told they don't have change in the drawer. When I asked for the manager she then presented change after speaking to her manager who didn't take the time to come address me. My friend asked about automatic gratuity when ordering to go and she stated because they don't get paid and if they don't charge automatic gratuity then they would never get paid because people don't tip. I understand how the service industry works but if I wasn't actually served then that's where I have a problem. This experience alone I would never return. I've eaten several places while visiting Houston and had no issues tipping because I sat had a meal and drinks. I was actually SERVED!!!! Paid $18 for 6 damn wings. At no point was I rude or disrespectful but the server got an attitude because I had questions. Please do better!

Most terrible experience ever. Ordered food & it never came out. Waited over an hour and a half for hookah. The waitress and manager Jay promised to comp the bill. I asked her for an itemized check since she said she couldn't split the bill. She took my card and charged it without bringing the receipt first. And then gave me 2 receipts with the wrong items on them. Then when we asked the manager why the hookah was still on the bill he looked us dead in our face and lied & said he never said he would comp the hookah???!!!! She also added 4 extra drinks on the receipt that was not ours. The manager then threatened to call the security on us bc my card had a fraud alert when they tried to double charge my card! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE 0/10

Despite arriving on time for our reservation at noon, we encountered numerous issues. The bathroom smelled like a curling iron due to a group of girls getting dressed, making it difficult to use. Service was slow, with no seating chart prepared even by 12:20. We were left waiting with minimal water and no menus. Ordering drinks took forever, with only mimosas, yet it still took 30 minutes to reach us. Frustrated, we resorted to ordering directly at the bar.When the food finally arrived at 1:45, it was a letdown. My oxtail and grits contained an unwanted surprise: a hair. The dish itself was bland, prompting a switch to chicken and waffles, which were equally disappointing--rock-hard waffles and undercooked chicken. The service deteriorated further as our waitress vanished, overwhelmed with tables.Despite the pleasant ambiance, the food quality was subpar. Grits were crunchy, lamb overcooked, shrimp tasteless, and drinks mediocre. The only saving grace was the French toast. My advice? Come for the atmosphere and drinks, but don't expect much from the food.
