drink
My super cute drink. Don't ask me what it was but the bartender made it for me when I asked for something sweet. Tasted like a margarita.

The white bartender with burgundy hair is rude and masculine. This business has changed a few times, I've come here consistently for 3 years. I didn't buy a drink for two weeks in preparation for a triathlon and she gave me the most shit. I'll never go back!

I only provided a 1 star review because I had to in order to leave this review. me and my girlfriend frequent here multiple times a week. it's literally 2 minutes walking distance from our house. we walked in for the SECOND time on cinco de mayo and was treated, to say the least discriminately. the young lady at the bar never greeted us nor acknowledged us. we waited patiently because we saw that there was a big crowd. after almost 10 minutes of no acknowledgment, my girlfriend proceeded to ask could we get 2 strawberry margaritas..the bartender loudly responded "oh your going to have to give me a second and wait"..okay?.. five minutes pass and we are still being patient..she confirms our drink orders. we get the drinks, and they are horrible. not consumable. I inform the waitress of the drink I received earlier and how the drink I just received from her, was so bitter. she proceeded to rudely inform me that all she did was add margarita mix. I politely asked her could she remake it..she agreed then walked off and threw her hands in the air and mumbled something. I'm like okay? like what's the issue?? as she provided me my remade drink, I asked her when was the owner going to be in. she proceeded to say to me "I don't know why you have an attitude with me"..i'm very confused at this point..she then says.. "you all came and interrupted me while y'all see I had a crowd" THEN SAYS.. "yall interrupted me and didn't even leave me a tip" when we payed with apple pay PRIOR to even getting our drinks and told her we were going to tip CASH. I then told her well you sure aren't getting one now. we actually OVER tip. EVERY TIME we are in this establishment. she also told me "good luck with informing the owner of what I experienced". the service was beyond disgusting. there is a bartender over worked clearly who is being rude to customers, and serving and selling alcohol constantly to clearly intoxicated and inebriated people. the people seemed to be her friends who were breaking glasses, falling into the side office room and twerking on the atm. i'm a nursing student, and would come here to do homework. my girlfriend came here multiple times during the week after work.. we used to come to this bar before it was even the "sportsman lounge" I will NEVER be back. see

Newest bar in the Energy Corridor. They did an absolutely amazing remodel on the old English pub once here. It is very clean and much more trendy. They have plenty of seating, lots of TVs, a pool table, full bar and patio out back. They are serving food although I think they are still working on a menu. They don't have a sign up outside as of this review but it is indeed open. If you remember what this place was before go check it out and you will be impressed with the improvements. Owner and staff are very friendly. Much needed addition to the energy corridor.

The Sportsman's Bar and Lounge is a super cool spot with fantastic happy hour specials, especially during the week. The ambience and aesthetic are top-notch, complemented by great music. However, service was just okay as the bartenders weren't overly friendly, which is why it gets 4 stars. On the upside, the addition of food trucks outside adds a pretty cool vibe to the place. Overall, a great spot for drinks and vibes, but service could use a boost! Will be back for sure.

The Sportsman's is the best bar that has come to this area since I've lived her for over a decade! Amazing staff, craft cocktails, awesome events and great food trucks/tents/cooks. The weekend has fun DJs and atmosphere while the weekdays are perfect for decompressing or bringing a date. The interior design is beautiful, clean and very open! No dive vibes, while the prices aren't expensive at all. I've had nothing but positive reactions from anybody I've brought here, even company parties. 100/10. Thank you to the bartenders, owners and staff for bringing this type of bar to Energy Corridor! The owner Melody is extremely outgoing and welcoming, her daughters and managers Sydney and Tori are tons of fun and the bartenders Paola, Nichole, Kai and Jason bring amazing drinks and energy behind the bar. If you don't like this place, you have questionable taste! Keep it up Sportsman's!

Watched the Texas Alabama game tonight at the sportsman, it was a great spot with so many TVs playing every game you can imagine, MMA Baseball and football. The bartenders were super awesome too. Ask for Nikki!

Not pictured in this review, but my husband and I had two beers paid cash, gave the waitress $20. She gave us three dollars back. Plus it took 10 minutes to get our change. Thought something was shifty, but didn't say anything. Pictured in this review is our friend's receipt. Basically, he and his buddy had two beers and two shots. Only two people on the bill, and the bar auto-tipped 18% plus taxed 14% on the cost of the drinks. We will definitely not be back until they market-correct. And ladies behind the bar, let's be a little bit more enthusiastic about your opening day.

Before Sportsman's, it was the Kings Head. Before that, Tobin's Lounge. I went to the Kings Head for just about every Super Bowl the last 10 years. I wasn't going to end it. Instead, I'd give the Sportsman's a try. It reminds me a lot like Kings Head, but a lot more cleaner and lively. They did add a lot more TV's. The staff is also pretty friendly. They made sure my drinks were taken care of. From what I see, they got a DJ on the weekends. If anything, they're trying to give Energy Corridor folks a reason not to travel far for a cool hip place to have a few drinks and unwind without the "dive bar" atmosphere.

GO TO THIS BAR!!! I dropped by yesterday for drinks with coworkers and was pleasantly surprised. They've remodeled it so beautifully and it really has the potential to be a vibe! Apparently they have karaoke sometimes so I'll be back for that. They also have Whiskey Wednesdays with $5 whiskey so if you're into that, check them out. They do not serve food but FlipNPatties is nearby and they will walk your food over to you. I believe they also have other food vendors outside sometimes too. If you're in the Energy Corridor area looking for a new hang out spot, look no further!Too often we travel 20-30 minutes in search of a night out when you can hang out in West Houston and have a great time. This is a beautiful place and they need to build their customer base so I'm doing my part to help!

I visited this bar a few times, and I must say that my experience was quite different on both occasions. The first time I went when they first opened, they had pizza and that's it. The bartenders were dressed very well, and their attire was professional and appropriate for the setting. However, when I visited the bar again tonight, I was surprised to see that the bartenders were dressed in legit lingerie. This was quite unexpected and inappropriate. I was disappointed to see such a lack of clothing. I immediately walked out. Last I heard, they don't serve food here anymore but there a taco stand outside.Update:Here's what the owner messaged my yelp priviately; "Hello, This is the owner of the bar that you gave a 1 star review to. We are a small family owned business and reviews like this affect us greatly. I'm sorry that our girls wearing lingerie made you uncomfortable, but to go online and ruin someone's lively hood is just wrong. Have a nice day.""Why are you doing this?"
