"Delicious!!! Really great spot for amazing British-style Indian food. If you want amazing, refined flavors, this is the spot for you! I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala and the samosas. The curry is very flavorful with just the right amount of kick to it. The samosas are perfectly fried with the most soft filling. It pairs perfectly with the green sauce It literally melts in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the naan! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for casual dining. It can be a bit pricey, but I really think its worth the price. The service is also fantastic. I can't wait to be back!"
"Was impressed by both goat and chicken, but warning the goat chops are big - for lunch we had too much food. But spices were spot on."

"One of the very best values in the Champions area. Excellent vegetarian food- huge portions and very high quality- at a very low cost. We regularly get 2 dinners to go and it's always at least 4 meals. This is a regular stop for us and we are so grateful they're here! Excellent (attached) grocery store as well."
"Yum. Due to the quarantine I've been experimenting with restaurants on Grub Hub. This is one restaurant that I believe offered either a $5.00 coupon perk or free delivery. I got the chicken biryani and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it extremely tasty but it came with a side salad and plenty of sauces. The portion was HUGE. For $8.99 I got enough food for 3 Meals. They were also very generous with the pieces of meat. Overall, will be ordering from here again."
"New restaurant so it's neat & clean. Ambiance is trendy, they have a few screens pulled up for entertainment. Full bar is available.Food was delicious. Owners are from Andhara (South india). We ordered mild spice level and food met our expectations, as we know Andhara food is very spicy in general. We ordered Gobi Manchurian as suggested by the waitress for appetizer, methi chole, paneer saag, garlic and plain naan, grapefruit mocktail. Loved everything. A tip to the owner/chef would be to add more methi in the methi chole as there was very less methi. Also, I would like to see more vegetarian options in the curry section as options were limited & mainly consisted of Paneer."
"Honestly, it was disappointing to see that there is no more buffet which was one of the pros of this place. The restaurant is also somehow smaller as well and it seems like they only offer take-out. The best thing about the buffet is that you get to try a variety of dishes and see how they taste so you know which one is good or not. One entree good at an Indian restaurant is generally not the same in every Indian restaurant. Having said that, the samosas were some of the best samosas I've had. They may be small but really good! I ordered the chicken vindaloo, and it was ok. I did like that the portion was good, the chicken is tender, and amount of chicken given was also good. It also tasted better the next day, but chicken vindaloo is not something that I like-like that I would want to get again. However, most of it was good to the point that I plan to try another entree and get those samosas again! One more thing, they don't have print out receipts. When I wanted a receipt, they wrote it down on the Guestcheck order paper as receipt."
"I got hospitalized, then was released. I had to stay home. I was an Uber driver. I was not able to work for a while. I had to order food with Uber Eats.I found it here on the Uber Eats app. The reviews were okay. I ordered veggie curry, chai, and 2 nans. It took 45 minutes to deliver to my apartment. I opened the bag. I found a chicken curry bowl that I didn't order. I checked my app. I confirmed that I didn't order. Anyway, I got a free curry bowl. lol.Everything was so tasty. Especially, the curry bowls were awesome. Thank you for helping my recovery. Namaste."
"I don't know how their first review is a negative one because I went in with a big party and we all got great customer service add great food. Granted, the waitress was not the best, but the owners were so gracious and nice and visited our table a couple of times to make sure our food was up to a good standard. I really liked that they brought our food out as soon as it was ready, because then we were able to eat very hot food. Nothing bothers me more than going to a restaurant and getting food that just tastes a warm and not actually hot.The honey garlic wings were very good and so were the spring rolls. My favorite things was the chicken tikka and the chicken Popsicles which were essentially the chicken tikka with a lemon and butter sauce on top of them. I really enjoyed the dumplings as well we got them steamed and Pan roasted and I like them Pan roasted best. The mango laasi is delicious as is the gulab jamun.I wish them much success and I'm so happy to have a new halal chinese/pakistani place open! Can't wait to visit again!"
"Don't forget to log in with Yelp when and get your discount. I ordered the Butter Chicken with medium spice which was delicious. Also had an order of Nan which was also good. This is a small location with great service. The portions were generous enough for me to get a to do box. The eating utensils were made out of wood which was different but not a problem. Definitely a place that I will be coming back to."

Sit at the bar -ajay is very engaging and helpful. we started with masala papad it was a bit spicy. I ordered the Gobi Manchurian as a appetizer it was good. For our entrée for dinner I got the paneer Manchurian and the Saag paneer and garlic naan. The paneer Manchurian was the best Paneer I've ever had in Houston. And the garlic naan was very soft and buttery. It was my first time here and I loved it! Highly recommend sitting at the bar they also have TVs!

Below average. Beef kabobs were mushy. Chicken tikka was bland.Everything was bland and bad. No flavor. No spices. TerribleI've never been to an Indian restaurant that I didn't like...until now. This place is not for me.

My friends from work had been raving about the food from Rani's. They order lunch from here. Finally I decided to order dinner from here and was disappointed. I ordered Khaman Dhokla. That was fluffy and perfect with the sides of green chutney, jalapeños and onions. But I also ordered a Gobi Paratha and that was just huge. Very very huge but it was completely tasteless. I could not taste anything except salt. The paratha was also not sealed properly at the ends. It tasted funny.

This place is 10/10. It's a small, family owned shop & you can tell how much love & care they put into their food. Their naans are piping hot from their tandoor, their biryani, chicken charga, you name it. I haven't had something from here that has ever been bad. My personal favorite is their chicken kofte. It's seriously so good, I thought they gave me beef kofte instead. Treat yourselves. Go here.

Decent food, okay ambience and below average service would probably be the best way to sum it up. I don't have much complaints about the food but the service was very below average. Conversations with the waitress were awkward and we had every staff member come and ask if we were enjoying the food. They never paid attention to our empty glasses of water or the fact that we were having a conversation - they were never shy to interrupt us completely. Also, paneer biryani is not something you want to order.

Stopped in for lunch with a couple of colleagues based on the reviews on Yelp. When we pulled up in front the place didn't look like much and caused a bit of concern by my friends. But I talked them into giving it a shot. Once inside things improved only a bit. One we helped ourselves to the buffet and sat down to eat, things really began to improve! Several of the offerings were unfamiliar from other Indian buffets, but we dove in. The chicken paneer was outstanding; chicken was lean breast meat, moist smoothy with creamy paneer. Spicy roast chicken had a great crunch and perfect spice! There was a wonderful veggie dish with okra that was perfectly spiced... 2 helpings. Every thing was excellent, only thing that was good not great was the tandoori chicken, but it's worth trying. Very small place no more than 8 or 9 tables, one server who worn many hats. Very friendly and accommodating. My friends and I were the only "non Indians" in the restaurant..a very good sign. We'll surely be back for more. Did note that they are closed on Tuesday. Buffet was $10 with tax, a good bargain!
Visit Restaurant Page"They're pretty mellow here, you could say they're mild-Manna'd.I discovered a rather excellent Indian restaurant located in a neighbourhood that really doesn't have any or much Indian food at all, and I'm impressed. They're pretty generic and catering to not Indians but everyone else, but they also have good quality and decent prices and some pretty good food, especially considering this neighbourhood doesn't have almost any good Indian places."
"I've been wanting to check out this place since it was opened. Beautiful spacious place with friendly staff who were very attentive. Every table got a sanitizer and bottled water. Big menu so much to choose from. Staff was helpful with recommendations. Everything we had was delicious, serving bigger than most Indian places we've been to. They even gave us free ice cream WITH WHIP CREAM & SPRINKLES. The only downfall was no alcohol-- the mojito is virgin. We didn't realize that till we ordered and take a sip. I was surprised the bill for all the food was $70. Love it. We'll be back"
"Wow this was some of the best Indian food I've had in Houston! Since it was my first time trying it, and food trucks can be flakey, I called to check on their hours and whatnot. The lady who answered the phone was so nice and helpful. She told me their exact location and sent me a picture of the menu so I could look it over and then text in the order. I loved the convenience of texting in the order! The garlic naan was perfection. It was warm, soft, and the perfect thickness. It had great garlic flavor, and honestly it was hard to cut myself off from eating the entire order myself. The samosas were great! You get two in an order and the chutney and sauce were a good complement to the potato and pea filling. I had the aloo mattar, which was a tomato based sauce with potatoes and peas. It was delicious! I had medium but it wasn't too spicy. It came with rice, of course. The lady at the food truck was SO nice and gave us a cup of the gajjar halwa to try. I had to look up what it was since I'd never had it before, but it was a soft / crumbly carrot dessert that wasn't too sweet.I would recommend this truck for great food and friendly service, 100%. I love vegetarian Indian food, and since this menu is chock full of it, I'm definitely coming back for more!"
"I have never had a bad meal at Da Gama. In fact, it's one of my go-to places when guests are in town, because the menu is unique, the flavors are flawless, and the atmosphere is inviting. This last time we went, 2 out of the 3 of us opted for the Restaurant Week menu, which was also a great price and a LOT of food! My husband opted for an appetizer and main meal, and yours truly was hungry and went for all 3 courses...which I wasn't able to finish. So, my eyes convinced me that I could eat more than I could. Two of us opted for seasonal refreshments, and they went amazingly well with our food too! I'm not sure how they keep their menu, flavors, and appeal so top-notch, but this place warrants repeat-visits. Definitely one of my faves in Houston - will be back!"
"I came here on a rainy day after watching a movie at the nearby theater. It wasn't too busy. Only 2-3 other parties were also there dining in.The waitress was helpful. I had their top soup, Manchow and added chicken and my main dish was chicken tikka Marsala. My friend had veg samosas and a tasty vegan dish. All the food was delicious, fresh and flavorful and I'd order any of the dishes again. I've bookmarked this as a go-to for good Indian food in or near Pearland and it's a great restaurant near the movie theater for a bite b4 or after a movie."
"Came in to satisfy our South Indian food cravings on Thursday for dinner and weren't disappointed. Place had quite a few customers for a Thursday night. We got the Paneer Dosa & Onion Rava Masala for dine in, and 1 Idli plate togo. I initially wanted to order the Khaman Dhokla but they said that they only give it for bulk orders, which I found very strange & misleading as it was on thier menu. Food came hot & was delicious. They don't give the orange tomato chutney with the dosa, just the coconut chutney and sambar. Nice to have this place that offers South Indian food close to Cypress. We will be back!"
"Tandoori cuisine is always fresh and delicious lively colors with a distinct flavor no matter the time or the occasion tandoori nites always hits the spot"
"Done Thai, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, BBQ...all represented in the massive strip mall on Sawdust East of I-45....but,Needed to try Briyani! Ordered the staple, Chicken "Briyani" Middle Persian for "Rice-A-Roni," is certainly more than a San Francisco Treat.Excellent service guided me to the perfect level of spiciness and explained chicken could come with or without bones. I trusted the good chef, and ordered without. Superb, but be forewarned, one order easily feeds two.Why one star missing? Atmosphere. It's as if owners have consciously removed everything that could possibly distract you from gorging yourself."
"Wonderful service down to the point of no return!! These people are so incredibly attentive. Your water will never run low and you will never leave still feeling hungry! The authentic drawings on the walls tell such an intricate story of the owners past experiences! Just watching, you learn so much history and about the culture. It's like sitting in a museum but with food! The food was made with love! You could taste every single ingredient! It resonates with your soul! Very very flavorful. Although this is a buffet it tastes like a 4-5 star restaurant!"
"First time in will absolutely NOT be my last. Fresh made masala dosa was one of the best I've ever had. Sambar was amazing. Complementary chai! They were setting up for recently added weekend buffet. We haven't gone back for that yet. Lots of daily specials! Was a wonderful precursor to our trip to the Indian Grocery next door."
"We really enjoyed coming here. It was our first time. They open at 4:30 for dinner. They offer a lunch buffet but we'll have to try that another time. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian as an appy to share, followed by lamb korma for me and Goan shrimp curry for my husband. The korma was tasty but missing the cashews I'm used to having in the curry. The lamb was cooked to perfection and there was a good amount of it. The dishes came with white rice. The Goan shrimp curry was also nice, a nice amount of shrimp. They generally cook the food mild so if you want some kick to it you have to specify and let them know how hot. We also shared one garlic naan. The menu is extensive and varied. We will be back to taste other items. They also serve wine and beer."
"Nirvana is one of the nicer Indian buffets in Houston. I came by back in September to try their lunch buffet. The service is quick and the food is refilled quite often. They have the usual fare that you expect from an Indian buffet but what really impressed me is the fact that they had an assortment of salads, chutneys, and pakoras. There was also a large variety of chicken and a goat curry dish. Several types of rice available including biryani. Most surprising was the Indo-Chinese food that they had. I liked all the desserts that they had to offer. I forgot to take any pics while I was here because I was super hungry. Note to self: Parking can be a little tricky. Get early or time it correctly."
"Ordered beef shawarma through a grubhub delivery and man it hit the spot! The garlic naan was bigger than I anticipated and was the perfect side to my meal. Will definitely be back!"
"Nice old-fashioned interior and furniture for a Indian buffet restaurant. As soon as I walked in to Mezban, employees immediately greeted us.Food was decent. I went with a group after a bus tour around Hilcroft Gandhi Shopping District. The cleanliness however was a concern. I saw a critter crawling across the floor as I was about to sit down. As I poured a drink into the foam cups, I started to feel the leak on my hand. Holy sh... I grabbed another cup to catch the drip. The tables were not the cleanest. I guess they got so many leaky cups. Customers seemed to enjoy this place. It's a buffet. It was Saturday. The food seemed plentiful on the buffet line. I sampled few dishes and went back for more of what I liked. I couldn't tell which was which because the labels were moved. I just wish Mezban was more organized and cleaned to my usual restaurant dining expectations."
"If you're coming downtown solely to eat here - as I was - parking isn't easy. However, if you're there, you'll find quality Indian breakfast food. An idli is a steamed cake and a dosa is a savory crepe; both are typically made from fermented lentils and rice, but they have more than one variety here.I sampled a "healthy" dosa with oats and buttermilk mixed in. I found this strange in that it implies that the default dosa is not healthy; it seems like they're selling themselves short. Such a dosa is thick and crumbly and pretty much tastes like oats and buttermilk. It was an interesting experiment, but to be honest I prefer the traditional version. No such issues with my idli, which I ordered the "bullet" version of. Both these items came with some really fantastic and unique chutneys for dipping. My idli had an extreme spicy one, but both had one that looked like coconut and tasted like peanut. The mix of flavors provided and exciting experience, and I was out of there for $10 plus tax and tip. This is the sort of breakfast I wish I ate more of."
"I've always liked Indian food but it was tough convincing my wife to try it.Luckily, when we moved into the area I was craving it and found this spot on Yelp to try.I don't get many opportunities to get Indian so Bombay Delight had to deliver for us to get another shot in the future. They do have a decent dining room but I did notice they do a ton of take out.Our first visit was in person and their garlic naan is so good when it comes out fresh and hot.We had the chicken tikka masala along with the butter chicken. Both dishes are delicious. We have ordered it to go now on multi occasions, if you have an air fryer pop the naan in there and it comes out just like if you eat it at the restaurant."
"Wow, wow, wow! The food was so delicious. I am a vegetarian and they had multiple options for me. The food is well seasoned and tasty. I will definitely be back."
"On my quest to find a decent meal to eat I came up in Nawab's. Indian food is always a good go-to, and biryani is always a good choice. At least in my eyes it is. The yummy curries, savory vegetables, and baked flat bread done the traditional way are all parts of the cuisine that makes me smile. Now, when it comes to biryani, I love. Especially drizzled with a delicious curry sauce. I just can't eat it plain, and I love the leftovers! They taste even better. Now I give this place two stars instead of one. I didn't get to taste the food with my mouth but I inhaled it through my nose. I stepped in the restaurant and was hit with the familiar scent that I love. I'm happy! I look at the menu and see the kind of biryani I love- lamb, yum. Give me lamb or goat biryani and were friends for life. Then I scanned the menu and saw my favorite thing to eat my biryani with, chicken Tikka masala. One of my favorites! So I stand at the register ready to order. A guy standing there looks at me and glares hard. I smile at him and he glares harder. Okay. I look at another guy who is already friendly looking and I wave for service, as he cooks without gloves and he avoids eye contact. I did what I had to do and walked out to my car and left. They apparently do not want my service, and that is fine. I would have loved to have a meal there but there are delicious Indian restaurants around them."
"Ok, I've visited enough times to say that Cowboys and Indians is good. Really good! Their menu is eclectic (Tex-Mex, Indian, and more) but you can definitely order the old faithfuls if you ask nicely. The butter chicken is great and tender. The short rib is epic in both flavor and tenderness. Everything I've tried is yummy. Ordering via phone is a bit of a struggle but they get the job done. Parking is easy which means a lot to me. It's tasty and convenient which makes me a repeat patron.Cheers!"
"Prices are up to $14.99 before tax, but still a good value for the buffet. As long as I get by butter chicken, saag paneer, samosas, onion pakora, and tandoori chicken I'm happy!Given inflation, there are no more lamb / goat dishes with whole chunks of meat (there are lamb meatballs on the buffet). Also the mango ice cream has been drastically watered down f compared to pre covid.Overall, Sitar is one of the last good value Indian buffets in the Houston metro!"
