"A hop skip and a jump from the Woodlands Mall, it's easy to relax into this peacefully decorated spot. It's more than the relaxing soundtrack, and quiet patrons, it's moreso the spaciousness, inviting service, stress free parking (bonus of a suburban restaurant), and the prospect of authentic cuisine in the area that's not categorized as "American" or "Modern American" (ie every popular Woodlands restaurant).On our visit, I was unfortunately distracted from my zen bubble as soon as our food arrived. Although the food was presented beautifully, myself and my guest immediately noticed the tables (ours included) sat too far away from the booth seats for comfort. I get it- usually this is a minor thing, but the distance was pretty drastic, so much so that it made eating a chore. I'm not sure if this is every diners experience (being that I'm 4'11" with the arm span of someone my stature), but is imagine it effects a majority of diners, and while I love a good workout, it's not exactly my idea of a relaxing meal.Other than that, the meal was fine, the curry was comforting, but I'm still in search of a Thai Food joint that will knock my socks off. All is forgiven with amazing food! As always, I plan to give them another try in the future. I'll select a different dish and maybe a table instead of a booth. :)"

Outstanding food (the brisket was the best we ever had) and overall results. All guests were duly impressed. Jorje was the consummate professional at all times, very responsive to emails, followed through on everything he said he was going to.I will definitely use Jorge and his Imperial BBQ crew again, and I would recommend them highly to anyone else."

"This spot offers a solid haleem bowl that is flavorful and comes with an excellent portion size given the very reasonable $8 price tag. They have gathered some hype since the food truck opened up on Highway 6 & Voss, and to give credit where it's due, the haleem they serve certainly carries substance to back up the hype. They load up your bowl with lots of warm haleem and top it off fully loaded with jalapeños, cilantro, lemon, and fried onion crisps. You can customize your toppings too and at the end of the day, it's hard not to appreciate the value you're getting out of the purchase. Their customer service is good too and if they add some naan/bread options to their menu, that will complete the experience in totality."

"A gem of a coffee roaster.. headquartered in Gulfton, near Chimney Rock. This place is a bit difficult to find due to the aesthetic looks from the outside. You'll notice a row of standard office looking buildings. Makes it a bit of an adventure trying to locate this coffee lab. Java Pura is the local soul of the best coffee beans in Houston. You may find their products at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, Central Market or any catering events. This lab is not a coffee shop, so don't go looking for a barista that can make you latte art. Rather the folks behind the business are incredibly passionate about their beans. They are super friendly and will give you a tour if you're interested in one. I visited a friend here and had the pleasure in viewing their machines and products up close. The beans are roasted in the lab and carefully packaged and shipped across various destinations. If you're interested in purchasing a package of coffee beans, you may do so during their business hours. The flavours are fresh and very aromatic. Grinding your beans at home will help to preserve the overall flavor. Reemerge and awaken back to life. I've been an advocate of supporting local as displayed in my 11 years of Yelp rendezvous. Java Pura is an example of supporting a business that really displays their heart and passion through their beans, packaging, and curation. Have any questions? They'll happily assist you. All things in this lab are science + art related. Once you make a switch to their beans, you'll never go back to your Folgers. Whats in your cup?"

"Meh. I definitely experienced better. This was sub par everything, except the fried okra. Flavor was off on the beans, mac and cheese bland af. BBQ bland and really not flavor full, more like oven baked, in my opinion. Sausage was so horrible sampling a couple of slices we threw the rest of the pound away, along with the beans and mac. I was so wanting to like this place, especially since there's a convenient drive-thru, but I pretty positive this place is on the no go back list."

The food was delicious and seasoned just enough to where you can still taste the flavor of the brisket itself. I'm a cole slaw fan so I devoured that as well : great prices and the very best bbq sauce. I will be ordering some after we return home to LA as the bottles they sell wouldn't fit into my carry on. "This is a good truck called Betty Jeans Cajun Cuisine located at Katy-Hockley Cut Off at Erma Rose Winery. This food truck has amazing food at the best prices! I ordered the 4 pc chicken wings -$8 and upgraded the fries to Mardi Gras fries which consisted of an Alfredo sauce sausage, chicken, and shrimp for an additional $4. Total for two orders came out ti $25 tax included. It was the best $25 spent! Food had soo much flavor and was soo fulfilling for the price! I had went earlier that day to another food truck for lunch, spent double the price and was under impressed. The wait was long as there were 10 orders in front of me but it was worth the wait. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely return!"

"I ordered to go yesterday afternoon after googling for close by Cajun Style cuisine. I also checked out the Yelp review and pictures from the menu. I had hot honey shrimp and the Surf n Turf Pasta. Hot Honey Shrimp is generally as in appetizer but I requested for it to be served as a shrimp basket. Hot and spicy , but very good.The surf n turf pasta is very filling with three proteins included . Salmon is blackened and very well seasoned.There's definitely other items I look forward to trying.I would also like to touch base on the negative reviews that people have left in terms of the establisment's ambiance. This restaurant is up and coming. You negative nay sayers act like the likes of Pappas,Boudreaux's, or any large scale restaurant's etc, did not all come from humble beginnings in terms of location or decor. I also know that Black Owned Businesses are put under a massive microscope as compared to others.I say all that to say this : La Roux Table, keep doing what you're doing. Let your food speak for itself. Your clientele and business will prosper."

Other side was ok potato salad. Sausage was generic but generous helping. We had no issue finding seating, we sat outside. They have a vast display of chocolates, I'll include some pictures. It has been a min since I was last here since I don't live in Texas, but I'll post pictures to give people an idea. Food wise, everything we ordered was very tasty. Meat was tender and moist. They had good flavor. Carrot soufflé was delicious. Chocolates may or may not be the same, but I recommend trying some out and bringing some home to your family. Who teaches at the North Harris College, which is practically next door, suggested the spot. I came driving from 1960, took Aldine Westfield and almost missed the place. By the way is in the same shopping strip where the Citgo gas station is.Mi Chef is runned by Cheff Mark, a cool guy that would remind you of your good buddy in grade school (he reminded me of Jaen B.) You can see the kitchen from the counter, and that is as good "first look at a clean place" as you get. The food is crafted almost before your eyes without the "run-through-the-factory" feeling. Just behind the counter, you will see how you sandwich is put together with fresh ingredients carefully layered. "This Postino location always delivers a great experience! Amazing service every visit! Came here for a mid week date night. One of the few places opened late on a Wednesday night. Also took advantage of their HRW menu on this visit. The amount of food that was served for $35 was insane! The first course was a Caesar salad with a chicken or beef skewer. The salad itself was enough to be a meal. I picked the chicken skewer was great. It just juicy and tender with a nice char. My second course was the nine iron panini. When they set the plate in front of me my first thought was "no way I'm gonna finish this". You get a side option of salad or chips. This sandwich was heavily stuffed. My only critique was there was a bit too much mayo of my liking. Other than that it was great. The final course was desert which we got to go."

The barbecue sandwich was smoked to a well cooked and tender bite with a fantastic flavor. There was only one mild barbecue sauce option. The green beans were not a hit for me. They tried something different that didn't work. It was a tangy but yet smoky spice mix that didn't complement the natural flavor of the green bean. Quite pungent bitter taste. The corn was good. The best thing on the side menu may have been the macaroni as they had run out before I arrived. The baked potato was humongous and was stuffed with brisket that had great flavor as well. It was enough for two entrees . I actually got it half and half with meat: pulled pork an brisket. Covered in cheese, sour cream, and bbq sauce. This is a great option."

Free food that's not from the cafeteria usually makes everyone happy. Go management!They decided to cater a build it yourself baked potato bar. The potatoes were all pretty big and surprisingly, they stayed hot for quite some time. It came with all the sides you would expect for a baked potato such as butter, sour cream, cheese, and green onions. We also had BBQ chopped beef or chicken to go in it as well. The BBQ was OK. It was a little more saucy than meaty. We also had a side salad which looked really good, but I didn't want to waste precious space in my belly for salad. The cookies for dessert were halfway good. I want to say one cookie was some sort of coconut and the other was either a sugar cookie or peanut butter. I grabbed the coconut cookie and it was pretty hard and did not taste very fresh. Overall, I feel like The French Corner would be a place I would consider to cater again, just not so much the baked potato bar."

Give these girls a raise!!There were several tables inside the shop but there were also some tables outside if you're wanting to chill (see what I did there?) in the hot, humid Houston weather for whatever reason. Since the place was empty, we opted to sit inside with the cold AC blasting.Between all of use, we tried different flavors, different toppings, and we even tried the Strawberry Sando. Everything was delicious and on point. Prices weren't too bad either. If you live in the area, you definitely to give this place a try. "Ok, so I feel qualified to write a review of this place because I've been patronizing this business for a year and a half now. I always get the hot wing basket, which is pretty tasty and very spicy. My sister has ordered other items and she didn't care for the taste. After today's visit, I've decided that I won't be patronizing this business any longer and here is why: 1. Customer Service - I have never received "service with a smile." I used to go to the restaurant, but the restaurant is closed. Now, I have to chase the food truck around. You would think with all that effort, they would be appreciative, but the service here is like going to Popeye's...they do the bare minimum.2. Inconsistency - The food flavoring is inconsistent and I think it used to be better when another chef who no longer works there was cooking at the restaurant.3. Ranch dressing - For some reason, the owner does not think ranch dressing is required for wings, so he rarely has it in stock. It is cooking 101 that cool dressings like ranch and blue cheese balance spicy flavors. 4. Prices - The prices change all of the time and the pictures on Instagram show one thing and when you get there, it is another price. But since you have chased to truck already they know you will probably go ahead and order. I think the wing basket is overpriced at $7. For that price, I can go to Wingstop and also get a drink. At Wingstop, I can order ahead and the food will be ready when I get there and I can get ranch dressing!!!5. Wait times - Today, when I arrived there were two people ahead of me and my order still took 40 minutes. That's too long.I love go support small businesses, but I don't see myself going out of the way to order and purchase food here anymore. Hopefully the owner will read this and take it as constructive feedback to improve in the future!"

"I've been coming to Schultze BBQ for over 20 years. This used to be my go to BBQ place because I love their sauce (a sweet Memphis style) and they are close to my parents house. However, I have become less enthusiastic about Schultze over the last few years. My first issue was that their quality and serving sizes had been dwindling but the last straw as the fact that they charged me extra to put BBQ on the side. I did not ask for extra, just that they put the sauce that would have been on the sandwich anyways in a small container in the to go bag so that my sandwich was not soggy when I got home. Goodbye Schultze, I'm going to Swinging doorSide note: the new buttered brioche buns are nice in theory but all I could taste was the bun. Smoked meat is normally a strong flavor but that bun overpowered the flavor of the meat and sauce."

So we did. She had a glass of something wine and I had a local craft on tap. The menu had a lot of great offerings but considering it was only 3:00pm, we chose the "build your own bruschetta board". That's a deal. She picked two and I chose two and it was a lot of food - for two. Everything was great. Will certainly come back."
