"Amazing tapas place that's mainly Portuguese style dishes but with Spanish influences and a little bit of Indian fusion in some dishes. We did the scallops, bread basket, octopus, grilled sardines, paella, shrimp and potato's bravas. It was all pretty good and was pleasantly surprised by how tender the steak was in the paella. Nice ambience and would say it's great for groups and for more intimate dates as well"
"Really cute place to get work done, drink coffee, socialize, & enjoy the sun(on the patio). Big variety of pastries, light bites, coffee, tea, & cocktails. Will be coming back and bringing all my friends to cowork!"

All the food was delicious and arrived pretty quickly"
"Intro: I'm going to start things off by firing some shots. I've always said that Houston doesn't have a great pizza scene. That doesn't mean that there aren't solid spots in town, just not at the level I would expect from one of the largest cities in the US. Despite my sentiments, I love pizza and am always on the lookout for an A+ spot. I had heard good things about The Gypsy Poet so I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner at 8:00 p.m. I found street parking on a side street close by. Service (2/5): Things didn't get off to a good start. You order at the counter and there was a line outside of the door that took roughly 30 minutes to get through. I hate waiting in line. Why are the prospects there for a long line at The Gypsy Poet? The fact that it's a popular pizza joint and that it was a Friday were certainly factors. However, there are some logistical issues too. They don't have menus for you to look at until you're at the counter. As a result, unless people in line look up the menu online before they get to the cashier, they're going to spend a couple of minutes perusing the menu when it's their turn to order. That slows things down substantially. Instead of relying on people to be proactive, if I were The Gypsy Poet, I'd hand out menus to people waiting in line, and then voila, the "traffic jam" lessens. I know having a line outside of your restaurant adds hype, but I hate artificial hype. The staff I interacted with while I was there was pleasant so the service delivers in this area.Ambiance (3.5/5): After you place your order, the experience progressively gets better and better. You select your own seat and they will bring your food to you. There's a variety of seating available including tables, couches, bar stools, and some seating on the patio. It's not a large restaurant so we ended up sitting at the one open table we could find inside. Outside of the seating arrangement, I did notice their playlist. They were playing a lot of EDM as background noise and I dug it. Food (5/5): Gypsy Poet is arguably the best pizza in Houston that I've experienced. Right up there with Luna Pizzeria. We ordered both the Margherita pizza and the Pepperoni Madness pizza. The Margherita is your classic traditional pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and basil. The Pepperoni Madness has both pepperoni and hot honey. Both of the pizzas were perfection. Everything: the crust, the cheese, the sauce, and the toppings worked in perfect harmony with each other. Out of the two, I would say I liked the Pepperoni Madness the best. It's one of their top sellers so go for it! We also had some tiramisu for dessert (my favorite dessert). A+ for the dessert as well. Drinks (4.5/5): A nice wine list. You can pick a bottle out while you're waiting in line which is exactly what I did. I went with a Pinot Noir, one of my favorite types of wine. They don't give you wine glasses, you're given regular glasses but it's all good. They also have a good beer selection and soft drinks if you're not feeling wine. Overall: The food is five stars hands down. With some logistical tweaks to ameliorate the dining experience, they would easily be a five-star restaurant in my book. They also have another location in The Heights. If you're looking for elite pizza in Houston, The Gypsy Poet has to be at the top of your list."
"This place is outrageously delicious! Holy shit. The antelope was by far my favourite! We shared a whole bunch of different things and everything was cooked to perfection, including the veggies. I would've liked the venison to be less "dressed up" with the chili rub but it was still good. The elk was a runner up favourite- so much flavour in it! What an adventure to take your tastebuds on. The hibiscus margarita is delectable and you can't beat half price wine on Sundays. You don't wanna miss that bread pudding either. The service and atmosphere of the place matches the food... warm and cozy, wonderful and unique. Looking forward to brunch once it's warmer so we can eat outside!"
"Postino Montrose was on my bookmark for a long while ever since Montrose Mining Company closed. I always wanted to stop by and enjoy the food because I read so great reviews. But it's always past the closing time. I went there last night. Simply because I was really hungry after an event at Houston Eagles. I remember it was shortly after 9. Because I was going to get in the VIP line at South Beach. But I thought maybe I can grab a quick dinner. Then, head there before 10. Since the menu is simple, I thought my order would be quick. Guess what? It was a long wait for Crispy Cauliflower. I already wrote a Yelp review and posted photos at a different restaurant by the time the appetizer came. I was very disappointed with the "crispy" part. The only crispy thing was the rehydrated raisins. The waitress came to take the order shortly before I finished the appetizer. I ordered Italian Beef Panini Dip with salad. The food was fresh. The dip was too salty. The roast beef was bland, maybe because I asked for no cheese. Oh by the way, I don't see any vegan dishes. Everything has cheese. Vegetarian maybe. I had to ask for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. Sadly, the kitchen failed to replace the saltiness of cheese with something. Another problem, waitress didn't come by to check on my water level or how I was doing. I saw another waitress stepping on a chair to reach for wine bottle behind me. She did say "excuse me". But don't you have stepladder? That's a safety hazard for your employees. While I was not getting any attention, I wrote my second review and posted some photos and videos at a different restaurant. I was about to finish my third review; waitress finally came to check on me. It got me thinking. Was I not fit for the crowd? Was it because I'm Asian? What a miserable dining experience. While looking at the check-in offer on lunch, I'm contemplating whether I should come back. I need some explanation first."
"This was a perfect wine bar experience and made me jealous that I don't have something like this in my own neighborhood. There's a great wine selection and the staff were very knowledgable. The vibes and ambiance were just right too!"
"Found this place on yelp while looking for a place to order a gender reveal cake from. They have an online form you can fill so I was able to fill everything out and request what I wanted in about 2 minutes without even having to pick up the phone!! (MAJOR PLUS FOR ME).After they received my inquiry, Red Dessert Dive replied quickly, making sure I got what everything I wanted in the cake. I had never been there before but when I went to pick up the cake, the place was tiny and cute and smelled SOOOO GOOD! They had so many sweets it was hard to resist getting one of everything LOL. In addition, the staff here was super friendly and my cake was ready right when they said it would be ready. The cake was beautiful and most importantly it was DELICIOUS. My friend had requested a marble cake with cream cheese frosting and they delivered just that in the most delicious way. Thank you for helping me make this day so special for these newly weds and new parents to be!"
"Very good small bites pasta and tenderloin skewers. Plenty of food in the small plates for the two of us who don't eat much. Service was a bit slow not because it was busy, but our server was not efficient in coming to table for refills or checking on us. Took a long time to get through service."
"Cute place on Beechnut for dinner with a large group of friends. My husband loved his mushroom burger and fries. The chicken tortilla soup was okay. It was served with a hot, warm roll which was good. The restaurant was fairly empty which was great for our party of 16. Easy to switch seats to catch up with friends. Parking was easy at the restaurant as it was not that busy. Note: They close at 8 PM on Saturdays. Would come here early if you want to chat with your friends. (Or you'll be talking in the parking lot after they close.)"

The port. Had a 6:30 pm reservation on a Friday night. Thunderstorms for 2 hours prior so wasn't sure how we'd fair. They have some street parking (metered) and a garage. There is valet but after seeing the way they drove the cars we were glad it was early enough for us to find street parking and make the 4 min walk. Meter parking for 2 hours $2.We were sat quickly and there was a good amount of people. The restaurant is nice. Quaint. But very very dark. Neither of us drink so we each had a mock tail. We ordered:Daily bread - house baked focaccia with seasonal toppings & sourdough with herbed olive oilBread was fresh and warm and went well with the herbed olive oil ( I also dipped it in the curry)Croquetas De Bacalhau - crispy salted cod & whipped potato fritter/ piri piriPerfect balance of filling and the fried batter was light and the sauce went wellPolvo Com Batatas -grilled spanish octopus/ mustard seed shaak potatoes/ salsa verdeThe octopus was grilled to perfection and so very tender. The potatoes paired nicely.Seafood Balchao Curry - gulf red snapper/ shrimp/scallop/ spicy goan curry This. Is. A . Must. Very very nice curry, could not get enough. Large prawns and fish pieces. Came with side of rice and roti.We ended the night with: BOLO DE BOLACHAportuguese 'tiramisu'/ espresso soaked maria cookies/ port laced cream/ cocoa powder. I am not a fan of tiramisu. But lawd, this was so delicious! The staff was great from the hostess to our waiter. I think his name was Dandy and he gave us some great suggestions and was very honest. Def plan on going back! Make reservations. By the time we left, it was almost a full house.

Always Houston staple coffee shop. The music is a little loud. They have upstairs and downstairs seating but watch out for the steep stair case. Lovely staff and ambiance with delicious drinks.

Postino is definitely one of my go-to restaurants, although I do prefer the Town & Country (Beltway/i10 or City Centre) location better. I just think they are more generous with their toppings (on the bruschettas and salads) and a bit more welcoming.Came here to try another "battle of the bruschetta."Bruschetta board (pick 4) - $16.95Strawberry cream cheese - saved this for dessert. It was good, but definitely something I could've made at home with ingredients I already have. Also they were a bit stingy with the toppings - it was probably 1 or 2 small strawberries sliced very thinly, and it didn't even cover the cream cheese. Our go-to 'dessert' bruschetta is the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread, which we prefer over the strawberry cream cheese. Spicy sprout - this was the winner of the 2 (for the battle). Not that spicy, but you could still tell it was there. We love roasted brussels sprouts, but it just needed more.Smoked salmon & pesto - bf's favorite, which we always get. I'm pregnant, so I couldn't have any :(Almond hummus & chopped tomato - another one of our favorites.Meatballs & goat cheese appetizer $14.50 - we usually order this for more protein. Goat cheese isn't too strong, so my bf actually likes it.Brussels sprouts salad $13.25 - the only salad I've tried here, which is my go-to when I'm craving a salad here. The toppings, however, were stingy (almonds, dried cherries, bacon), so it was mainly kale.City Orchard Silver Tip Cider $7 - bf enjoyed this.

Finally had the opportunity to try this place out as it has been on my list for years. We came early evening on a Saturday and were able to easily get a spot to sit inside (too hot to use their patio area now) - by 6pm or so the inside was full. We ordered 2 pizzas to share between the 3 of us and it was plenty. Web landed on the Cappellone "Big Hat" and Dream Catcher; both were artisan as advertised with nice quality ingredients on a perfectly crisp crust. Service was fine; minimal interaction given the order at the counter setup. Parking: street or paid lots nearby.

I had been wanting to try this place, so we came here on a couples date night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. However, it took forever to even get water brought to the table and this was literally the theme of the entire dining experience - service was extremely slow the entire night. Our server was sweet but just overwhelmingly slow. I know they had a wedding party there so perhaps that was part of the problem and not typical. We started with the Taste of the Wild, which had antelope, venison and I believe bison? All of the meat was terrific, so I opted to get antelope for my entree and requested medium rare. Unfortunately, what they brought me was medium well, and since I am not one to send food back (and they took forever to begin with) I just sucked it up and ate it. I will say the grits were pretty tasty. My husband got the filet and he said it was ok. Our friends got the trout, which she said was good, and he got the elk, which he said was ok but not as good as the sampler of antelope. The Texas Old Fashioned was a definite winner, and I am glad I got that. Overall, the meal was ok but I can honestly say I will not be back.

This is home. This is my safe place. This is my spot. I love it here and have for years. You canNOT go wrong with anything on the extensive wine menu. They source the BEST cheese and charcuterie (I would know, I used to work at a custom cheese shop).Want a romantic date night? Done. A fun girl's night? Done. A casual catch up with the best friend? DONE.

"A friend and I decided to try E&G for brunch (FYI, it's only served on the weekends). Zack was our waiter and he was pretty good. I asked for recommendations and had questions about the menu which he politely answered. He checked on us appropriately and for all of that, I tipped him handsomely. For drinks, my friend ordered a coffee, they don't have any fancy offerings there, and I went with the coffee float. It could stand to be a dollar or two cheaper for what it is. It needed more ice cream for sure with an $8 price tag, seemed more like one scoop instead of two. Now the food, we started with an app of the samosas. Now the outside was flaky, inside more mushy than I like but overall, they tasted really well. For entree, my friend ordered the roasted shakshouka which I still don't know what is inside it but she said it was good. Came with super delicious looking bacon and bfast potatoes. I decided to treat myself with the 3 lamb chops. For $44, they know they should make that an even 4 chops! The first bite was so damn delicious. It had the right amount of charring and was tender. The other two were nicely charred but the meat started feeling a bit tough. I still was eating at the bone to get my money's worth, I do not give one single solitary (you fill in the blank). Even Zack commented on it! I was like dude if you saw alladat, why you ain't sneak me another chop! The lamb chops were accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and 3 spears of asparagus. That should have been a bigger serving, I would have asked for more but didn't think at the time."
"We were regulars at the heights location. Finally made it out to the west university location, and wow, I can't believe I have never been here. My husband and I are foodies. We eat at all the best restaurants in Houston: Nobie's, Nancy's Hustle, Squabble, State of Grace, and this place is right up there. So glad we came in today, now we have another place to add to our rotation of faves. My recommendations: Baked Feta, and for white wine, parparoussis."
"Barnabys is going to give you the bang for your buck. Great portions. Fresh food. Solid seasoning. I love going here."
"Lighting of a facility is a little muted. I assume to make the mood a bit more intimate. Not a large establishment. I would guess 60-70 guests including the bar area. Prices are okay. Pretty average for the quantity of the food. Service was okay. But then again there was very little in attendance. A small deduction which is not represented in the 3 star review was of the staff members had on tooooooo much cologne. It was very off putting when you taste cologne over the entree. I try the steak risotto. It was okay. Nothing that screams I have to come back. Vodka sauce was okay on flavor but very stingy on the sauce. Rigatoni and meatballs was okay again. The sauce was limited. The meatballs were surprisingly tender but under seasoned. Nevertheless this place is better than any other big chain like OG or Macaroni Grill."
"Yuuuuup! It's. About. The. Crust. Perfection if you ask me! It is thin, but doughy and crispy. I can't explain it. The toppings were plenty and evenly spaced and they also cut into squares. We made ourselves sick. We ordered the Buffalo wings, 1/2 big don and Carls king, and a BYOP. They were all good and I will definitely return. Hope they bring one to Dallas."
"Great service by our waitress Mariana. I ordered a vegetable pizza. It was quite good and had black olives and feta cheese among other things. They had a live band. Check out the bathroom. It's easy to miss. The door is a book shelf. The pizza is not inexpensive as it's $17.95 but I took into account that there's no cover charge for the live music. Parking is shared with other restaurants but not hard to find a space."
"My friend and I visited the Space Center near by, and were looking for a place to eat after. YELP led us to this place! We first walked to Nobi next door, took a look at the menu. Then came to Hyde, and it was a good crowd and vibe, so we stayed. We didn't need a resy, but they have couches at the entrance if in case you need to wait for a table. We were quickly seated. They were about 70% full, good sign. I liked their open kitchen and the cozy looking bar. Service - I can't remember our server's name, but she was great. I didn't get the receipt, so I can't even look back on it. But she was young, bubbly, and full of suggestions.Food - we ordered the pasta and a pizza to split. And the pizza was very yum. We ordered half Blanche Devereaux and half pickle pizza, after consulting with our server. Both sides were very tasty, I would order this combo again. But the pickel pizza was my favorite. The idea sounds weird but so tasty. Would definitely come back for pickle pizza. My friend was already planning her next trip to come down here again midway through her meal, lol. The brie alfredo pasta was interesting & good. My friend thought it was delicious. You be the judge and try it.We realized later on in the evening that Nobi, Hyde, and Gelato are all the same owners. The business seems to be doing well, and their pizza game is strong."
"You can't get a view like this at any of the other Churrasco's locations. I've always loved their food. We went for dinner and asked to sit outside, which was my favorite part of being there. Our server was Chris R. and he was absolutely fabulous. He gave great recommendations and was on top of everything. Ordered a mojito. The kids ordered popcorn chicken and slider meals. My husband had the sea bass platter which sits on a bed of pineapple risotto and mango sauce. I had the Pollo Encamisado which is plantain crusted chicken on mashed refried beans, topped with melted cheese and tomatos. I would've given the place 5 stars except for these reasons- the lemonade my kids ordered were almost $6 each (that's pretty steep) and the chicken I ordered used to come with plantains and they swapped these for fries. For the prices they charge, fries is not what I would expect with my meal. That being said, I take the blame for not realizing the menu had been changed. I hope they consider changing it back to the way it used to be. I can get fries pretty much anywhere else and I specifically came here for South American cuisine. Thankfully, the view and service really made this a more pleasant experience."
"Came in here for some after dinner drinks, and it was such a cute vibe! I love that they sell coffee, wine and beer, and then have some food for purchase as well. My friends ordered cappuccinos and a Reese's iced coffee and you could just tell the amount of love and patience that went into making the drinks, they looked delicious! There's indoor and outdoor seating, and surprisingly for a houston evening there was a nice breeze out, so the doors were open and we hung out and chatted for a while. While looking around the place, they've got merch for sale as well as games to play, which is always right up my alley! There's an amazing view of the park across the street, I would definitely come back here to hang for a bit and try the food next time too!"
"I have been wanting to come here for years based on the great yelp reviews. There are always some bad reviews for every restaurant but those I chalk up to: psychos, people that are having a bad day, or just don't now any better. They are usually from people that are not doing reviews with any consistency so I ignore those. Fellow Yelpers did not disappoint on the crab cakes. I make crab cakes 1-2 a year for special occasions and I use a recipe that is a Robert Irvine/Tyler Florence amalgam. I don't like to use "best ever" as I could have another crab cake somewhere that is very different but also very good. This was a 10 out of 10. I am not even sure what the chef does for a binder because it's pretty much all crab meat. Also I am going to have to figure out how they are really seared and super crispy on top/bottom but it's not deep fried or again covered in breading. I would have like a little more of the sauce on the plate but we used all that was provided. That was my wife's starter I had the tomato and burrata salad which was super fresh and tasty. It went great with the crab cake also. The bread service is about the only thing that didn't seem inline with the rest of the dinner, we were very hungry when we got there but why fill up on bread? I had also read people rave about the steaks there which is odd to me. I eat a lot of steaks at great steak houses (Pappas, Mastros, Capital Grill, Flemings, Vic and Anthony's......) I would not go to Lucio's to have steak. If you thinking the same way you need to re-think your mindset when going there. The selection of steak is very narrow because it's not a steak house but if you are in the mood for a steak go there. My wife order the filet which comes with some layered potatoes. It was VERY VERY good. Expertly cooked and seasoned. I am not sure what we could have asked more from that plate. I had the short rib which was excellent. The risotto with the short rib perfect pair and don't eat one bit of that short rib without some risotto on the fork my friend. It wouldn't be justice to your taste buds. We also did desserts chocolate brownie and the "bubbles" special. The bubbles is they have it on special is definitely something to have with multiple people and dig in with spoons. Please is of course clean and very welcoming very much a sole proprietorship run by someone that cares about the product and that is present with all the staff. Service was great and not pretencious.Lastly, the place is know to BYOB (its in the name) There is no hard liquor there which probably makes it more laid back. We took some amazing bottles of wine with us that would have been $300+ so I have kids that need to go to college and am not a politician so can't be dropping $300-600 on wine for a dinner for two. They have a corking fee which I did not mind and we had white with starters and red with dinner and took both unfinished bottles back home. They do have a succinct wine list that is very reasonable for restaurant of this caliber so no need to bring wine if you don't want to.Lucio's is great for date night but I also saw groups of friends there having a great dinner. Definitely want to bring some friends there with a couple bottles of great wine."
"Incredible little restaurant. We came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks and it was such a treat! Everything we got was so delicious and special. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We could tell they really care about food here. Everything felt very intentional.Stand outs were the Paloma, the Texquenos, Porte de Catalunya, and for dessert: the chocolate ravioli. The cortados we ordered were impressive as well. We'll be back!"
"Wonderful little kitchen -wine bar off Memorial. Formally the Devine Affair Restaurant they have kept their location and executive chef.It is wonderfully hidden in the left corner, and you can smell succulent smells of Tuscany coming from inside the second you open their doors.Although I ordered only some " compliments" capellini aglio e olio and parmesan truffle frites, I could tell their Italian styled dinner menu offered large portions of beautifully prepared food.Although only 10 or so tables inside and 10 bar chairs if wish a more casual experience, this Italian bistro offers a home styled elegant atmosphere paired with fragrant dishes prepared made to order. The customer service was right on par and although they had only a few wait staff they were responsive and had drinks available quickly. The capellini was light and perfectly seasoned with the right amount of olive oil.The thin sliced truffle fries were salty and delicious topped with parmesan cheese. Yummmmm!!The Houston Astros were playing on the screen at the bar and even though not a winning game , the atmosphere and jazzy music makes for the end of a perfect Tuesday night meal. Will definitely return after they reopen after a short vacation for their staff."
"This is where you'll find me most mornings during the week before going to work. It's my go to spot if I am getting a latte. Like most coffee shops they have a variety of options for milk substitutes. If you're lucky enough to arrive early you can get tacos that they get from taco deli. In addition to other coffees, they have a large selection of teas. Several pastries are available at the counter. But once they run out, they run out. Perfect neighborhood coffeeshop that hosts live music nights and other things throughout the month."
"Super yummy takeout pizza! We always get the Margarita pizza and the drizzled balsamic vinegar takes the cake. Easy pick up lane inside and always smiling friendly faces to greet you. A nice size dining room is a plus so you can dine in and enjoy some yummy pizza."
"What I love about Selento's: the front patio seating! With a prime location in Rice Village, it makes for the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy the weather. Second, they have a good variety of options on their menu so it was not difficult at all to find something that hit most of my cravings!I visited for a late lunch on a lightly rainy Saturday and even sitting outside watching the rain was lovely! The patio covering was just enough.Food: I ordered the chimichurri steak which came with a side of broccoli and potatoes. I appreciated that the steak was cooked to my liking and the potatoes were seasoned well! The meal was perfectly filling and hit the spot.Drinks: I ordered the sangria and frankly I was underwhelmed and did not finish it- I'd def. choose something else next time.Service: quick and straightforward. Loved that there was no wait.Would I recommend a visit? Absolutely! Perfect lunch or brunch spot solo or with friends/family for just about any occasion. A nice but relaxed spot with good food options."
"This Postino location always delivers a great experience! Amazing service every visit! Came here for a mid week date night. One of the few places opened late on a Wednesday night. Also took advantage of their HRW menu on this visit. The amount of food that was served for $35 was insane! The first course was a Caesar salad with a chicken or beef skewer. The salad itself was enough to be a meal. I picked the chicken skewer was great. It just juicy and tender with a nice char. My second course was the nine iron panini. When they set the plate in front of me my first thought was "no way I'm gonna finish this". You get a side option of salad or chips. This sandwich was heavily stuffed. My only critique was there was a bit too much mayo of my liking. Other than that it was great. The final course was desert which we got to go."
"I ordered the Cannelloni here tonight. It's my favorite dish here with the Angel Hair with Meat Sauce coming right after it. It was very delicious, flavorful in numerous ways and comforting. The pasta was very fresh and soft. The cream sauce was savory, rich and tasty. The red sauce was very tasty, runny and had a great bell pepper taste to it. The ground chicken n spinach filling was also very tasty and paired well with everything. Great, friendly service as well."
"I went here on Saturday for my friends birthday party, and wasn't expecting a whole lot. However, i was blown away by how amazing the food was. This was some of the best food I've had so far in Houston.I got the chicken & sausage gumbo and it was really amazing. The cornbread was yummy and the gumbo tasted savory with a little bit of spice. The chicken was cooked beautifully. I also tried some of my friends chicken wing dinner & the biscuit was buttery and fantastic. Overall the rest of the restaurant experience wasn't standout (we had to wait ~10 min for our reservation, it was dark and a little noisy) but the food really set it apart. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, and made sure my friend had a memorable birthday dinner. Would I go again? YesWould I go with my friends? YesWould I go alone? YesWould I ask my friends to pick me up food if they were going? I wouldWater rating: 6/10. The water was just above average, not standout but was still cold and refreshing"
"If you like authentic Italian food come check this Italian bistro out. They have the most wonderful gluten free bread and wonderful arranchini. We love their pizza and huge vino selection. We have stayed at the hotel they are attached to while I was filming Ironman Texas and accidentally stumbles into this location for dinner .It was beautifully decorated and comforting inside and out.Service was complete with our servers who spoke Italian and knew their menu choices explicitly. We even feel in love with a limonchello drizzled cake dessert that will make your stomach happy and heart content.Cannot wait to return.Bella."
"Love the selection of wines. Great customer service as well. Good spot for a date night or meet up with friends."
"Satisfy with Gratify. Met some friends for dinner with a 6 pm reservation. They were fairly busy. They are part of the HRW (Houston Restaurant Week). They have a diverse menu but it's not huge which is great. They are def a wine bar. We ordered off the HRW - 3 courses for $55. Appetizer: crab cake (HRW is 1, regular menu is 2), delicious, nice tender seasoned crab with a slight crisp on the edges, comes with a nice sauce that is a tad spicy (horseradish) - other options were Gratify Salad, caviar and chips, or grilled broccolini and lentilsEntree: taglierini and truffles - decadent, creamy, delicious pasta - it was so good - other options were scarred octopus (friend said it was amazing), NY strip or brick chickenDessert: pot de creme (butterscotch) - it is a light pudding with some chocolate topping, the butterscotch was whipped down so the taste was there but not overpowering - other options were chocolate cake or key lime pie (1/2)Overall, it was def a nice spot. It progressively got busier. Bar, tables, everywhere. It's like a maze getting out bc the tables are packed fairly close. The staff were all fabulous. Our waiter was friendly and all the helpers were pleasant and nice. I don't think my water glass was ever more than half empty. They even brought me a little stand to hang my purse on. The manager stopped at tables but he walked by ours 3 or 4 times - guess we weren't hip enough to stop for There is a parking garage right next door so easy access. It's also owned by the same company as Coppa Osteria so if you like that spot, you will like Gratify too."
"While I love the concept of the cafe, being slow and lingering, the cafe itself could use some work. The chairs are not very comfortable, nor good if you want to stay and study. However, you can't stay too long because the wifi times out after 2 hours.I got the purple rain to drink. It was really pretty in color, but it did not taste like ube at all'sI also got the brie and pear flatbread, this was good but too heavy on the brie chunks and very oily."
