Justin T. "Jones Fried Chicken used to be where it was at back in the day, especially if you were ballin' on a budget or a struggling college student like my friends and I used to to be. I was in the area and decided to reminisce about the good ole days and saw this place in a whole other light. I don't know if it's just that I'm older and wiser now or what, but I couldn't even get to the ordering process all these years later. The place was dirty and customer service was not good. I can get past the bad customer service for some good food, but when I saw insects in the food area, I immediately asked for a refund and they happily obliged without question. This place has been around for awhile and I'm guessing I caught them on a bad day. The wings, and chicken and rice are really good and I would love to enjoy it again one day. For now, I will wait and see if things get cleaned up first."

Hearty and dusted with some spice - it's only very mildly spicy but just a heads up that kids may not like it if they can't eat spicy stuff. 1/2 chicken dark meat option: I got the lemon & herbs flavor because I'm a wuss and don't like spicy foods. It was super moist and cooked well! Lemon isn't my favorite flavor for anything but it was pretty good. I might try the mildest spicy chicken the next time I come! Their side of rice was ok, it was kind of spicy but at the same time was kind of bland."

Tracey L. "I first visited the Tumble 22 in April when I was coming here to pick up my keys for my place. The waiter gave me the background of this restaurant and the area; he explained the different heat levels the chicken comes in. There are six levels of heat, from Wimpy Hot to Stupid Hot. Now the chicken, I like that the spices go straight through the crispy skin to the meat. I will post the picture showing the spices on the meat that brings the heat. The skin is so good I could have eaten that alone. I added the Dirty Fries smothered in Queso with big chunks of chicken, a new dish for me, and I have tried to make it at home, but no such luck. I think I need the chicken recipe. I enjoyed my food for sure, but I loved how pretty this place is with the old wooden window frames. It gives a quiet chic barn feel with the reds and beige and Rooster on the wall standing tall, along with the many other pictures."

The food is great, the customer service is great, and I really enjoyed my meal here.Food: the cook shack chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Made fresh and fried to perfection. I went with medium, and boy. I sure am glad I did because medium is quite hot. I like spicy food trust me, but this medium for most people will probably seem hot or extra hot because it is very spicy, but let me tell you what it's simply amazing. The medium is a perfect blend of spice and flavor. Not too overbearing it's just right. The sandwich was amazing. The mac & cheese was amazing. The cookie ice cream sandwich was top-notch. I was very impressed with the food. I will definitely make Cook shack part of my rotation whenever I see them. The customer service was simply the best. As soon as you walk in your greeted with the nice young lady work on the cashier booth. She took our order with a smile, and was very friendly. Also, there was a really nice black lady. I wish I would've gotten your name but she stopped by her table. Check on it several times. She was so nice and went out of our way to tell usabout the restaurant because we had a few questions about some things. Man I really wish I would've got her names so the managers could let her know that she's doing an amazing job. From top to bottom I was very impressed with this location. Initially found this place from a Yelp Elite week, and the first go round was super yummy, so the choice was easy when we were looking at places to go!We arrived during lunch rush hour, so parking lot was full, but there's plenty of places to park. Came in to a clean, and bright restaurant, love all the bold colors and paintings they have on the wall. Our wait wasn't long, and were greeted quickly by smiling staff. The lady who took our order was super patient as we navigated the menu with questions on spice level and drink options!I got the plain chicken sandwich combo, which comes with housemate pickles and no cole slaw and a side of fries with the strawberry hibiscus lemonade! Let me tell you, this sandwich is big, I could only eat half, and the portion of fries is quite large too, and seasoned deliciousously! We also got the original chicken sandwich combo which comes with the pickles and coleslaw and then an order of the strips, all of which looked delicious! They've got a great variety of specialty lemonades, which all taste yummy! Will definitely be coming back here, I saw someone with the fries, and they looked stacked and loaded, so that'll be the next order!!"

I'm a sucker for fried chicken sandwiches! This was definitely not the best I've had. The size of the chicken thigh was small and the medium spice was lacking and not really indicative of what medium spice is in most other places. The coleslaw was refreshing and I really enjoyed the Haus spice dipped into the fries. Pretty filling and decently priced."

Tiffany J. "We had dinner at Tumble 22 after a birthday bar hop. This was my first time dining at Tumble 22. They have a small parking lot on the side of the building. We didn't have any issues finding a spot on a Saturday evening. If the lot is full, you can also park on the street. Our server was Mike, and he was very nice and accommodating. I started with a Crawford Bock for my beverage. For my meal, I ordered the 2 Piece Jumbo Tenders and added a side of collard greens for an additional $2. The greens were a little heavy on the vinegar, but still pretty good. I originally requested BBQ sauce for the tenders, but it had a bit of a spiciness to it. I ended up requesting ranch instead and it was much better. The Painless (mild) seasoning was very flavorful. I liked them better than the chicken tenders at Gus's.At the end of the meal, we asked Mike if we could get a birthday dessert for our friend. He checked with the manager, David. After a few minutes, they both walked out with a slice of toffee pecan pie with a candle in it. We then sang happy birthday to our friend before sharing the pie. The pie was really tasty and very sweet! I get the impression that they don't normally do birthday desserts, so it was extremely nice of them to do that for us!"

Sharonda D. "LAZY DAY!!! Because I did not feel up to cooking a home cooked meal for me and hubby, I decided to place an online to-go order from this establishment. The online ordering process is super easy, but you must have a Chow account in order to place online orders with them. This is not our first experience trying their food. It's great Peruvian cuisine which we absolutely enjoy! Normally, my husband will pick up our order, but he was super busy on this particular day. Therefore, I decided this would be the perfect time for me to make an appearance and check them out personally for myself. This review has been a long-time coming. Firstly, when I arrived, the place was not busy. There was a couple dining in and it was nice and quiet. I don't recall hearing any music playing in the background. There was dim lighting which made for a relaxing ambience. They have TV monitors mounted on the wall for entertainment. The dining area was pretty clean and spacious. Customer service is top-notch. The lady that served me was extremely friendly and welcoming. My husband said that whenever he goes to pickup our orders, they're always friendly and nice to him. I'm glad that I was able to finally come and see for myself. Secondly, I ordered the Brasa burrito with salad for hubby and the two-piece rotisserie dark meat with black beans and Chaufa rice on the side for myself. I chose the green sauce and yellow sauce, which are complimentary on all orders. They also have a red sauce which is okay. By the way, their green sauce is my favorite one. It tastes so delicious when you dip the chicken in it or even if you drizzle a little on the Chaufa rice. OMG! DEE-LI-SHUSH! It has a semi-spicy cilantro flavor to it. My husband absolutely loves their Brasa burrito. It's filled with delicious pulled chicken, queso fresco, yellow sauce, Mexican cream, crispy onions, black beans, and chaufa rice all wrapped inside an enormous flour tortilla. He also favors the green sauce and likes to dip the burrito in it. As for the side of black beans, they're packed with flavorful deliciousness. NOW, for the rotisserie chicken, it's the best that I've ever tried in my life. It's also packed with mouth-watering, flavorsome, delectable, and unique Peruvian flavors. Furthermore, it's juicy, tender, and succulent! It's definitely a must-try! Hubby and I normally order their whole rotisserie dinners which are accompanied with three sides and six sauce flavors of your choice. Overall, I am a huge fan of their Peruvian cuisine. I think I will dine in one day, since their dining room is clean and spacious. Since hubby and I are always ordering the chicken and the Chaufa rice, we would like to try something different on the menu. However, their rotisserie chicken and Chaufa rice are the bees knees people! It's absolutely delicious! I rated them four stars because the Chaufa rice that they sold me was not fresh this go round. It's usually super fresh and piping hot. However, this time it was hard and the chicken that's in it was also hard, making it difficult to chew. Bomber, because it's my favorite side on the menu. Instead of replacing it with some fresh rice, they sold me some stale rice. I was highly disappointed. Since it was late in the evening and close to closing hours, I guess they didn't want to throw it out and make some fresh rice. Nevertheless, I am recommending anyone who enjoys great tasting food to give them a try. You will not be disappointed! You can also follow them on instagram @chickhouz for updates and to also witness some of their most delectable and mouth-watering Peruvian cuisines on display. By the way, they have a new Chick Houz location coming soon in the Tomball area."

I could've eaten a bowl of this as a soup. The only thing missing is maybe adding some heat as an option. The Nashville hot chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
