Rick F. "Quaint spot for grabbing alcoholic beverages without the hassle of long lines. I often go here for last minute supplies when I may need to entertain a few guest. On Saturdays they usually have someone there to offer samples of a few products. I've always had great service and everyone has been very polite. The prices are very reasonable and comparable to even Specs pricing. They do not have a huge array of liquors but they carry most of the popular items. I'm not a liquorologist but I have seen some items I've never heard of. As with most liquor stores, the prices of accessories like juices and sodas are a bit over priced, but this place is right next to FoodTown so you can pick those items up from there allot cheaper. It's quick get in, grab what you want, and get out kind of spot. They have beers but not a large selection. It's a go to place for vodka, gin, tequila, rum, and whiskey (bourbon). (Yeah, all the hard stuff.) Drink responsibly."

Steph B. "Nice family owned liquor store with a good selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Located conveniently by my favorite pool sully store, this small liquor store has reasonably priced on all but allocations (rarer bottles) and no one has reasonable prices for allocations!None the less I was able to get a bottle of Colonial Tayler at a price that did make me blush, at least not to badly. The owner is a nice fellow. If you want something special he will try to find it for you. I know I had the same offer from Spec's and Total Wines but never heard from them. Parkway found what I wanted in a few weeks and like I said offered at a somewhat unrealistic price that I caved on."

The young gentleman at the register wasn't very engaging and when I asked questions his body language seemed bothered or as if he didn't want to be there. Besides that everything else was good."

Asked for help, got a recommendation, and then got to try several different options. I ended up with the Codigo 1530 Blanco - smooth and easy to drink neat. Thanks for helping me find the perfect tequila."

Sachin S. "I live a couple minutes away but had never been here before - I usually buy wine and beer at Kroger or HEB, and liquor at the place on Fountain View or James' on Westheimer. I went here for the first time on Saturday right before closing, and I really liked it. Big, clean, prices are very reasonable, excellent selection of everything, and the people at the counter were very friendly. They have a really big selection of beers as well in the refrigerated section. I think the prices for normal beers like Modelo, Corona, Coors etc. were a bit high. The other two liquor stores I mentioned do not have a good selection of beers.Parking was easy, right in front. Although that parking lot can get congested when Kroger is busy. In general I very much liked this place and plan to go back the next time we need to buy liquor or wine. On beer, I will probably stick to the grocery stores."

When the gentleman behind the counter saw we only had one glass and there were two of us there, he went on a hunt for an additional glass. Since he couldn't find a price on the original one selected, he kindly gave us both glasses free. He was such a nice guy, and the store had good selections. Personal attention sure makes you want to shop here often!"

Lisa C. "Hub and I did a shopping day in the area and wandered in. What a lovely, clean, and upscale store. You know how most local liquor stores are just FUSTY inside, you know, that cross between funky, musty, and definitely dusty? Not this place. I was impressed by the high end selections and happy to see many options that were reasonably priced as well. The western style wines and spirits are well represented here as well as many interesting Asian options that tickled our fancy. Darcy, the salesperson who worked with us was lovely, lively, and knowledgeable. I wish every store had someone like her to work with. Honest. She recommended a spirit to us that we purchased a really good price and are now holding on to for a fun occasion when we can uncork it with friends. I will definitely come back by, especially if I want a gift for someone special."

I believe the owner who was the cashier seemed very friendly and he waited for us while we were on our way. The store closes at 9 PM and we arrive around 8:45 PM. We checked out the prices of some bottles and they have some really good prices compared to the well-known stores such as spec's or total wine. The flooring may need a touch up though just a tip. This store is located in a plaza next to other stores and may be hard to find, but definitely will be back!"

Apparently it's a popular place, so make a reservation!I came in for a mini date night, had a reservation, and got seated promptly upon arrival. The parking lot was tight... Luckily we got a spot!If you're looking for a Thai place with an uplifting, happy environment and a cheerful crowd, come over here. As mentioned in my pics I posted to Yelp, I tried the Thai Whiskey flight. Be careful! I can hold my alcohol. But I got lit after downing each of the four shots. (Remember, after each shot take a bite of a lime slice and a few pieces of Tamarind... Then move onto the next shot.)If you take a sip of each whiskey shot, it kinda has a Chinese medicine taste. When you shoot it, it's kinda enjoyable. Pretty crazy, huh?"

But Bottles, I can rely on for an inexpensive red of white. They only have one rack of wines, plus a few bubbles in the cooler, but when I'm in a hurry, I can pop in and be on my way out within minutes. They also sell liquor and some setups/mixers."

David W. "This place recently opened within a stone's throw of my work. I'm not a huge daiquiri fan per se but filed away for when I might want to check it out. A smallish store front, I thought it might just be a counter to grab and go. Turns out there's more than meets the eye! With limited afternoon/evening hours, it does have a nice inside bar-like space with comfortable seating (see photos), along with tables and table games and a few TVs. I was by myself (waiting for a car repair at a nearby garage) so I sat at a comfortable bar stool (the owner/server was a great conversation). It is not a large place, so not a place to come to mix and mingle but rather with a group to enjoy each other's company. The location is on a corner, so they have a drive through (when I was there, a few people stopped by). Great to grab for home happy hour and not have to worry about making drinks for you and yours. Parking is plentiful along the strip center. It's hard to see from Bay Area Blvd, it's on the same corner as Circle K (with access from both BAB and Space Center). On to the drinks. Wow, very tasty. Great mixture, no overbearing alcohol flavor. I got the medium for what I think was $10 and a great value (as good as a mixed drink or large beer in any other bar). I did the Mai Tai and Pina Colada. First of all, two drinks big red warning (I got my second to go so it didn't hit me until later in the evening). They are strong. But the taste was great, and with their diverse menu something for everyone.I can say best in class and I'm looking to go at the next opportunity so 5 stars for me!"

Often when we've come in they've had tastings of new liquors. I always enjoy that...drink liquor while I shop for liquor. Vodkas are on the left wall. Specials are usually front and center. And, we found a chocolate flavored liquor whipped cream. Soooo delicious! Went great with the chocolate flavored Pinnacle vodka we had. Not much else to say about this place. Dave O. "After dinner with a few business associates we were looking to have a few cocktails but with no place close to our hotel and with no bar at the hotel we decided to pull into this little liquor store and pick up a few things and get plowed at the hotel so none of us would be driving (always drink responsible). We ended up getting a few pints of Tito's, Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey American Honey, a Mountain Dew, a Six Pack of Samuel Adams, and a few cans of RedBull. This little store was rocking out with the music cranked up and the friendly small framed owner swaying with the beat and singing the broken lyrics in tongues while checking us out. As he continue to punch on the register I noticed in the small chest type cooler in front of the counter there were a number of red solo cups filled ice lined up on the small shelf next to several open bottles of cheap booze. I asked him if these ready to pour cups were for sell and he simply stated 38 cents, of course this was something we hadn't considered so we grabbed a few and we were set. While pulling out of the parking lot and waiting to turn at the light we noticed a few savory looking citizens working the corner with their hands out and sitting on the concrete median a few feet away were a few cups that looked vaguely familiar to the ones we just purchased. Just another reason to love this country and the ingeniousness of the West Loop Liquor Store owner to accommodate all his customers."

Gail W. "I came in with my dad to get Tito's handmade vodka. We was both approached by a sampler. She kindly wanting us to taste test it to buy the new product. She was a different nationality with an accent. I don't believe she took my constructive criticism well.. It was an alcoholic product that went by the name of V something. She had a red bottle of it and a purple. We both got a shot of the red V- and it was nasty! To me, it tasted like cherry cough syrup medicine mixed with too strong of an alcohol plus it was warm not cold. Even though, the sampler had the drinks on ice. It probably was fake ice come think of it. The vibe of the liquor store was dead when we first stepped in with a whole long line from the counter to the back. Then a lady came in waay too throwed and buzzed. She was bubbly, all smiles speaking to everybody. Looks as if she had be drinking all day. She even spoke to the elderly man buying vodka for a bunch party goers. Real cool! The cashier lady was also very friendly. She is a older mexican woman. She also had switched her mouth to smile mode. She was speaking to everyone who came in and who was in line waiting. The whole atmosphere was laid back. The shelves were nicely stocked with signs of what it was and where it came from. I saw a few sick shaped bottles. I saw one shaped as a skull and AK-47. All of the vodkas are located straight back from the checkout counter-mostly the whole wall. They also have miniature bottles of alcoholic beverages near the cashier. And if you taste test the only way you can get a t-shirt is to buy a bottle. The store front has a weird theme: a Chihuahua in space or "high" with a name of UFO. Makes one wonder.. lol. Might be back since it's right next door to a vape shop."

Elliott B. "Methinks Daniel was a bit harsh on this place. While I do enjoy Specs and it has way more to offer at lower prices, I also like to support the little guy, non-big-box stores. And this one has a pretty dang good bourbon selection at reasonable (for being locally owned) prices. No, the dude working the front clearly wasn't a bourbon head and couldn't talk bourbon with me, but I wouldn't give him 1 star for it.This place has more than just Jack and Evan Williams, and they have really very decent prices on some solid, varied stuff, including Michters and Yellow Rose, plus plenty of local hits like TX and Rebecca Creek (not my jam). For a bourbon or whiskey head who likes to support local business, this place is just fine. Easy 4 stars. If the dude could talk bourbon and add just a little more and add a few more bottles to his American whiskey line-up, he'd hit 5 stars from me.
