"service was fast even with a long line and they have a great variety of sandwich's. Got the italian was very filling and not dry at all bread was delicious. Wish they had more snack options though there was a small row of chips and sweets but a ton of wine options."
"Delicious egg and cheese bagels and a cute, clean spot with reasonable prices to boot!"
"Great new coffee/bakery shop in Edgewater...Wonderful comfy atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious cold brew and baked goods...What's not to like?"
"Was in town for the day and was super stoked to see a spot with egg bagels!! Here's the short: egg bagels are my favorite; they're hard to find in the midwest so I usually get them shipped but prefer to buy locally when I can. It was super convenient to use their app to order a half dozen of egg bagels as well as sesame bagels. I took them home with me and ate them the next day! Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the texture. Couple of things were off -- you could tell it was a rolled and shaped bagel because it kinda of unraveled that way. Also, while sure it achieved that bagel chew...the texture was kind of like dry bread. Pick up window only!"
"Reno is walkable from Logan Square Auditorium and offers indoor and outdoor seating with a wide selection of thin crust pizzas and pastas and many other things. After a show at the auditorium we walked over and were able to snag a nice outdoor table for an early dinner. For the 4 of us, 2 pies were the perfect amount and we finished everything. For our red sauce pizza, we selected the Combo (fennel sausage, cremini mushroom, smoked onion, mozzarella, red sauce) and for the white sauce pizza we got the Philomena (robiola cheese, mozzarella, arugula, truffle oil). I think we selected the best two that complemented each other. The combo was heavier and meatier while the Philomena was earthy and fresh at the same time. Service was super fast and friendly and it was overall a delightful experience."
"Place was recently debuted on a "best breakfast sandwich" list & nothing could be further from the truth. Aside from the spicy aspect of the sausage & the seasonings from the everything bagel this is tasteless. The egg & cheese have zero flavor. As much as food cost these days I don't have time for this. Not to mention my sandwich was at best room temperature & I love my freshly ordered food to be piping hot. To their credit it could be that I simply ordered the wrong combination but had this been void of sausage & a flavored bagel it wouldn't be worth of a paper weight."
"Love their diversity of flavored cream cheeses to pack and go for home morning smears! Specifically-fresh veggie cream cheese which is whipped cream cheese with a medley of fresh vegetables. The service is patient, kind and professional as this is a small location. There are two registers-one at each end of the counters. They have a small seating area-with wide French Style Windows that allow for an "Al fresco" atmosphere.Less than a block from The Armitage Brown Line Station!!!!!"
"Came here for lunch during the weekday around 12. They have all the selections still which I appreciated and line was not long as all. I got a bacon egg and cheese on everything. It was good but not the best I've ever had. my coworkers got a lox and a veggie and enjoyed both but none of us thought they were stellar. I also ended up ordering a half dozen for home to have in the morning so I am excited to try with just cream cheese to determine if I really like the bagel itself."
"This very unassuming place is so incredibly cute. There isn't that many places to get brunch by the Western CTA station, but it happened to be a midway point for a friend and me. Don't let the small number of reviews deter you from visiting! It's a super cute diner with the classic diner booths and cute wall decor. The service was great. It was one lady, but she made sure we were taken care of and she was super sweet. We got a hazelnut latte, sweet plantain waffles, Belgian waffles with fruit and the veggie arepa. Everything was amazing. I highly recommend the sweet plantain waffle with the fried egg like the other reviews here because it's unique and also delicious! Give this place a chance, it'll be worth it!"
"Well I'll start off by saying the bagel was delicious. Happy with that. But for 2 bagels and a black coffee, $25 seems a little steep for me. Not crazy, but a little expensive. Only issue with the bagel, called classic egg, however it was scrambled and mixed with milk. My wife was not able to eat hers because of the lactose. I would expect a fried egg, disappointed in that."
"The omfg bagel got me omfg-ing. Once you walk in, you'd probably think you are in the wrong spot. Looks like a bar but just walking down, and you will see the order counter. It's very dimly lit but I found out that this place turns into a bar at night. So cool. Staff were great and super friendly. My order came out less than 10 minutes. I ordered the OMFG bagel on an everything bagel with extra scallion spread. It was loaded and definitely messy to eat. The fried egg exploded on me so be careful. The bagel was perfectly toasted; soft yet crispy texture. I enjoyed my bagel so much! I ate half of it there and saved the other half for the airport. They have a nice spacious outdoor seating in front. The OMFG bagel was the popular item and I can see why. It had fried chicken, cheese, fried egg, bacon bagel with sriracha aioli. I added the scallion cream cheese and it was a game changer!! It was totally worth it.IMO I think it's better than some bagel places here in San Jose, CA. I highly recommend!"

This place is the real deal. This is the place you pop into on the way to Montrose beach for a quick sammy and a cold soda with a bag of chips on the side. Truly one of the best sammys on the north side of chicago.

Some of the best Northside bagels , IMHO, has just opened their new location in Wrigleyville! Conveniently located across from Wrigley Field right next to McD's. I'm excited as a public transportation user since their other location is a bit of a walk from the closest station. But now you can enjoy their great products and service a hope skip and jump away from the Addison red line station. I'm excited to enjoy my morning everything bagel with veggie cream cheese on a bench basking in nostalgic ambiance of Wrigley. Yay!

Super cute cafe in the hood. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for an onion bagel with cream cheese. I was able to bring my bagel outside and sit in their outdoor area. It was nice that the knifes they had were not plastic. I wish they had different options for cream cheese spreads. I will be back to try their other items on the menu.

Today is foodie day and my daughter wanted to start her day with a bagel. She just has so many positive memories with NY bagels, from all her NY travels.Quality/Quantity - Online order only.Pick-up window only.Stand in the street while you wait for your food.Pumpernickel Scallion Cream Cheese - Good, especially liked the pumpernickel dough.Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese and Lox - We wanted this in pumpernickel also, but they already ran out of all bagels except the everything bagel?!?!?It still tasted good, but would have been better with the pumpernickel bagel.Atmosphere - Well, we are standing in the street, what if it was raining or snowing?Small shop, pick-up window only.Service - Good, they made a mistake on our first order and corrected it right away.I know so many businesses are going to online purchases only, but there are still many customers that struggle with technology, so it would be nice to be able to order at the pick-up window.Price - Expensive.Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 1999 and with your 5 locations.

This is my favorite pizza in all of Chicago. I have been to 35 pizza restaurants and Reno is legitimately the best. Call me crazy but Reno's crust and their toppings are top tier.

Great bagels. I particularly like the spicy Atomic Hot Doug Sausage with eggs and pepper jack. Quick friendly service at the pickup window. Not sure why they still don't want guests inside the store...

I'm a sucker for bagels and this place hit the spot! This is a small bagel spot with lots of varieties. You can get something as simple as a bagel with cream cheese or you can go all out and get a sandwich of your choice. They also regular coffee. I tried the Wrigley Fielder which comes with cream cheese and a ton of veggies! This is an all veggie option however there are also sandwiches for meat eaters - breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I also got an iced coffee - nothing fancy here, simple and gets the caffeine job done. This was reallllllllll good. I'm picky with bagels and loooove me a specialty bagel spot! The service was quick especially considering how crazy packed this was on an early Sunday afternoon. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating so keep that in mind. There is also 1 bathroom so I recommend utilizing one before heading here lol. Tip - Lincoln park has free parking on Sundays, it does get busy after 10am so if possible try to come before the rush.

The bagels at Tilly are quite simply PERFECT to me. I've been here twice now; on Saturday's there tends to be a little line out the door (mainly because they try and keep the inside from getting too crammed) but the system is well orchestrated and organized so it moves super quickly! At 8:30ish on a Saturday there were only a few people in front of us. They have a few tables inside but the space isn't really conducive to a bunch of people eating in. The texture of the bagels here are unlike any other bagel I've ever had in the best way - so airy and fresh! The tomato grilled cheese bagel was outstanding, and i don't think you could go wrong with anything here. We both got the pickled veggie cream cheese which is seasonal and was sooo good! I will absolutely go out of my way to come back here!!
Visit Restaurant Page"I needed a quick bite after work and saw this deli on Yelp with amazing reviews so decided to check it out. The inside has beautiful vintage diner decor, there is so much charm inside! The deli was remarkably clean, smelled delicious, and had the best service from the staff! I got the eggplant sandwich which had charred eggplant, lemon tahini sauce, and crispy latke on a Kaiser roll. The taste was 10/10, the eggplant was perfect - tasted smoky and delicious. The rest of the toppings made for the perfect combination of flavors and the roll held everything together so well. Everything is made fresh right in front of you, so you know that they're using the best ingredients and handling your food in the safest way possible. Honestly, I've passed by this deli numerous times but never noticed it! Cant wait to go back and try more items from their menu!"
"They have good bagels. But what I can't live with out is the jalapeño cream cheese. I've only been here once, but it's life changing and I can't stop thinking about it! Their chive cream cheese is pretty good too, but it's nothing compared to the jalapeño. I wasn't sure if I would like it so I bought a small (enough for one bagel) serving, but I wish I'd gotten the larger size of the jalapeño instead of the chive.I only wish they were closer. I went their early (7:45 am) and they were out of some of the bagels already (I'd really wanted to try the wheat). That was a surprise.... Anyway, whilst they're not terribly far away relatively speaking, driving the ~3 miles down there feels like forever because it's along Clark the whole way. I may stop again when I'm on my way to work since the parking was beautiful then too. I think my favorite were the onion bagel (not sure I've ever had one of those, honestly) and the cinnamon raisin. The guy who helped me was pleasant; not boisterously or annoyingly chipper for the morning but not rude either. I ordered a bagel sandwich and was glad to watch him crack the eggs right then and there. The sandwich was ok; the cheese wasn't the best but American is a terrible cheese; I totally glossed over that or I would probably have skipped cheese on it. But it wasn't terribly expensive and I can't say I wouldn't get one in the future."
"I love these guys. I don't agree with every single aspect of their sometimes goofy politics, but I absolutely love their commitment to their beliefs, and the fact that they'll put them ahead of profits. That's righteous and worthy of respect. Also, they have the absolute best whole bean selection of any coffee shoppe in the Midwest (yes, I've checked). No one else comes close to the sheer variety of quality beans they have on hand at any given time. I also love how their idiosyncratic ways (no gluten free bagels --quelle horreur!!) make certain denizens of this bougie hood clutch their pearls/check their Fitbits."
"Damn, if I ever plan on opening a restaurant, I for sure will not be opening up a bagel shop. After reading the most recent reviews it seems like it's hard to please these bagel shopping customers. If customers are treating places like "it's just a bagel shop" or "just pizza" they're you're never going to be satisfied. If people are commenting that it used to be their favorite bagel shop, then where the heck is the review that showed that? I really don't understand the one review people, trying to harm these local business. This place is the real deal. After trying bagels in New York, I knew that anything I tried anywhere in the world, would have to be compared to the bagels I've had in the Big Apple. I will admit there's not much in the city of Chicago that is remotely close to the bagels served in New York. Are offerings aren't that great. That is until i decided to check out Steingolds. I ordered their "Steingolds Classic Lox" with an Everything bagel. It came with lox and scallion cream cheese, capers, tomatoes and untoasted. These bagels were massive. They tasted fresh as did the lox. A very simple but flavorful sandwich executed to perfection. And also very filling. It also came with a pickle and a side. I chose their bagel chips which were also phenomenal. I'm glad I finally found my local bagel place. There is literally no other place in the city that offers bagels like Steingolds does. Not even my previous favorite place in the north burbs. Will absolutely be return very very soon."
"Friendly service in a cute shop with good food and coffee! Had a turmeric latte and a guava and cheese croissant."
"Best place to get your Jewish Deli classics!! They have a modern/quality spin on everything from bagels, to challah to black and white cookies their giardeneria foccacia is out of this world fluffy fermented deliciousness!!"
"Probably my go to place for when i need a filling hangover-curing breakfast. The bagel sandwiches are great and the bagels themselves are very good. There's a good variety of bagels (egg everything for the win) and a couple cream cheese options too. The quality of the food is high.Service is fairly quick too, even on a hectic Saturday morning, we'll order online and then walk over and it's ready in ~15 minutes. The only negative thing for me is the price. It's not cheap, a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich will run you like $12. Throw on some lox or chicken or something extra and it'll get to $15+ really quickly. That's pricy to say the least. It just means that as good as it is, it's not a weekly occurrence."
"Fantastic spot for breakfast. Close by to our air bnb...quick easy drive via Uber. We ordered the following:The Bageler- one of their signature breakfast sandwiches which consist of egg, cheese & bacon. The Gardener- yum! Their main vegan offering. I'm not vegan but I really enjoyed this! So light and refreshing. Consisted of hummus, roasted red peppers, cucumbers and red onions. We got both our sandwiches on an everything bagel. Perfect portion for breakfast! Thank you Yelp for helping me discover this little hidden gem. Besides bagels, they serve muffins and an extensive list of coffee concoctions. Quiet little spot for those who want to get some work done also."
"I love a good Nova Lox bagel and Corey's hit the spot! I was running errands around the neighborhood and decided to grab food here while passing by. I appreciated their parking spaces out front.Corey's shares a section of a lot with Olive Mediterranean Grill and Wild Fork. It was convenient to stop in-and-out with a car. Starbucks is also on the same lot so it was can pretty crowded being right off North Ave, but I was able to pull in and was out in 10 minutes.I ordered the Nova Lox Bagel Sandwich on a Garlic Bagel and Chive Cream Cheese. This sandwiches was about $15 at the time of writing and came with a delicious pickle and choice of side. I chose the pasta salad, but you also have the options of chips among others.I chose all the fixings so it had cucumbers, tomatoes, capers, and red onion. It was a hearty sandwich, one I had to smoosh a little bit and approach from the side with my first bite because everything stacked up so tall.I also picked up a small tub of lox cream cheese to take home, because I already had everything bagels at home, and could not wait to try their lox cream cheese. I saw that they also had jumbo black and white cookies at their to-go counter, which I'm sure a local New Yorker or anyone who's spent time there would appreciate!Overall, I enjoyed my sandwich. Corey's was the perfect place for a pit stop to grab lunch on the go!"
"I used to occasionally go to original El Bagel location on Division. This morning wanted a quick bite while I put in some weekend hours. To my surprise the old El Bagel was closed. At the end of the block I see a line outside of Jack's Bistro. Turns out El Bagel now served from Jack's (Division and Le Monye). Bagel was good. Smaller than before and cream cheese was of different quality than before. I never had veggie cream cheese with green beans. Welp!!! All-in-all pretty good bagel experience. Line was long and took about 8 minutes to get my bagel after ordering. I applaud Jake's for trying to keep El Bagel going in the community. El Bagel was good for Division and dog owners. Appears Jake's is keeping the dog friendly patio."
"Good small coffee place on Dearborn in South Loop. Hero Coffee Bar is a locally owned shop that has variety on the menu. It's not a big menu, but there's still quite a big though. Classic coffees to choose from. There's also pastries and sandwiches. Came in the morning and it wasn't that busy. It's a small place so it just looks busy if there's a few people in here. There's only a few tables and some seats by the window. Get some of the common coffee types here. Prices aren't that bad for a place like this. It's about $3 for an Americano. Several non dairy milks are available including almond and oat. Also there's food. It's about $8 for a bagel sandwich. Good and healthy. It has the Fig Nut Of Your Imagination. This has almond butter and organic fig nut preserves. Even though it's a small place, it has plenty to get to drink and eat. It has many coffees to choose from. There's also the bagel sandwiches that are okay for vegans and vegetarians."
"Nice to see a bagel specific spot, you don't see a whole lot of those in Chicago. Then again this makes sense as it's a NYC styled deli/cafe. They have multiple varieties of bagels to choose from, as well as smears. There's also a full menu of bagel inspired breakfast sandwiches. I just had an asiago bagel with scallion smear, but I'd definitely get a full sandwich next time. They also have more lunch inspired sandwiches as well. They also serve coffee. Most people order to-go, but there are some tables and chairs. It's connected to the Gino's East mag mile location. Maybe a little pricey, but everything you get is real big so you get your money's worth. My work building is right around the corner so I'd definitely come back again."
"Fabulous bagels- so warm and flavorful! And so many choices! The posh, top-shelf cheese and onion one is out of this world! The cost was higher than I expected, as my meal came to nearly $20 with sandwich, soda, chips, and tip. So I think this will be a special treat outing, but was sooooo good!! Friendly staff. Clean space. It was fun to watch the baker in action, too!"
"Okay.... we ate here A LOT! We were in town for a week from Cincinnati. We stayed at City Suites Hotel, which is pretty much right next door. After a few breakfasts at local restaurants, we made a habit of starting our day at Chicago Bagel Authority. I'm not sure, but I'd say we ate here probably five days in a row. We would study the menu before we arrived so we could order like a boss! Staff was always super helpful and quick to turnaround our order. That said, we did try to time it after what we assumed was a morning rush. We loved the guy standing there with the 'wait time' sign around his neck. So much fun.. and informative, too! The place has a great vibe. We loved the art, both photos and paintings on the wall. We always ate in the restaurant and were there long enough for a coffee refill... we are SO smart! LOLI'll be posting pics of the amazing bagels, but I may be hard pressed to remember the name if each. I will say I had a plain(ish) option and well... it was plain. On the other extreme, I ordered rather fancy options that were messy as hell. Overall, we were 95% never disappointed!Regarding the pics I'll be posting, I apologize. I am not a fan of pictures that don't detail what's in the pic, but I'm not sure I'll remember exactly what bagel is in each of the pictures."
"I was looking for a bagel spot in the city, and I stumbled upon this gem that was tucked away on a corner. I was happy to see that all of the bagels were made using sourdough. The consistency of the bagel was a little bit dry, but overall great quality and seasoned well. The cream cheese was fresh and you could see the veggies inside. The only criticism I have about this place would be the staff. They were not very friendly, and needs some workFood wise- the bagel was not dry and airy and had a great texture. The cream cheese was fresh and very reasonably priced as well. Come check them out!"
"Great addition to the neighborhood! Large menu, affordable prices and high quality food. Even on a busy Air & Water show weekend afternoon, our online order was ready as promised and handed off with a smile. Both sandwiches were big and delicious we'll definitely be back!"
"I love Corey's!They open at 6am each morning 7 days a week. Which makes it a perfect spot to start your day.Since it is Sunday I walked down there shortly after they opened and purchased my favorite Vegetable Cream Cheese to bring home to make breakfast with. It is beyond delicious and creamy and full of vegetables whipped in!Thank you Corey's also for your professional staff who are polite, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, efficient and work well as a team. The lines always move quickly! There are a few places inside to sit and eat. The establishment is always clean and organized in a way that patrons can self service."
