Gotham Bagels - Magnificent Mile

Good bagels but they are very busy and run out so get there early! Only thing I would knock points off for is the amount of cream cheese. It's just way too much. I scraped off probably 3/4ths just overwhelming. Bagel itself was good though! Not a lot of seating and it's busy so beware.

Looking for a savory bite in Chicago? Gotham Bagels has the SOFTEST bagels in town packed with the best flavor! We ordered our bagels to-go (easy-to find pickup counter available) but it did look like there was a good amount of seating inside). Our order was fresh and ready on time! We got the Spicy Caruso (giardiniera, poblano salad, roasted red peppers and more!) and a Spicy Sausage Egg & Cheddar on Asiago bagels.It is a bit pricey but definitely super filling. We would totally get the Caruso again (limited time collab w/ Caruso's Giardiniera!). My son had a 2 day stay at Lurie so we grabbed bagels from here a few times. Their bagels and sandwiches' are really good here, with the bagels being pretty up there for me in terms of other places in the city. They have a good selection of flavors with the Asiago being my favorite.The only thing I didn't enjoy was that they put wayyyy too much cream cheese on my bagel, but that's always easy to take off a bit. They definitely come fully loaded.

Nice to see a bagel specific spot, you don't see a whole lot of those in Chicago. Then again this makes sense as it's a NYC styled deli/cafe. They have multiple varieties of bagels to choose from, as well as smears. There's also a full menu of bagel inspired breakfast sandwiches. I just had an asiago bagel with scallion smear, but I'd definitely get a full sandwich next time. They also have more lunch inspired sandwiches as well. They also serve coffee. Most people order to-go, but there are some tables and chairs. It's connected to the Gino's East mag mile location. Maybe a little pricey, but everything you get is real big so you get your money's worth. My work building is right around the corner so I'd definitely come back again.

The bagels are big, and the amount of cream cheese is very generous. Good bready chew without being crumby. Not as good as nyc bagels, but they try. On the pricier side, whether it's worth it is debatable depending on how much you like bagels. You have to wait a bit before you get your order, not as fast as you would expect from a bagel place. Lighting is a bit dim inside, it feels sort of like a diner, idk why.

Many people rave about Gotham Bagels and it was a okay bagel for Chicago - But the bagel itself is a little hard / not as fluffy and chewy. It looks great in the photo but biting it wasn't what you would expect from a bagel sandwich. It is also very expensive, even compared to NYC and other Chicago breakfast places - $38 for two bagel sandwiches. The staff were nice, they have a little bit of seating inside, but overall I would try a bagel from somewhere else.

Gotham bagels is my favorite place to get a bagel sandwich in the city. Their bagels are fantastic and the types of bagel sandwiches they have are always delicious. I decided to try their magnificent mile location and get a plain cinnamon bagel with cream cheese. BE WARNED there is a ton of cream cheese on this bagel. I like a lot of cream cheese, but there was way too much and I had to take a lot off. Next time I know to ask for light cream cheese. Other than that, there were rave reviews about the breakfast sandwich.

Best bagel I've had in the city so far. Came for lunch and the bagel options were more limited, but still plenty to choose from. Friendly service.

Omg SO good! Fresh bagels and great bagel sandwiches. Come HUNGRY these bagels are HUGE and delicious!

I don't have a picture because I ate the bagel so fast and literally forgot. These bagels are as big as your freaking face. Like HUGE. Which makes sense because they are a little pricey. My husband did one of the breakfast sandwiches and loved it. I got a normal blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and was so happy. It's a cute little hole in the wall type of place perfect for grab and go.
