Ordered ahead since the other reviews said wait could be long. Order was ready when we arrived about 10 mins later. Limited seating with barstools and high top tables inside. I liked that there were many vegetarian options, and even bagel sandwiches with latkes in them which I have not seen before. Hot Giardiniera cream cheese was SO GOOD!

Had the opportunity to finally try this well respected deli. They have a great location and many offerings for the square footage they have. Had to try the corned beef sandwich! Honestly was disappointed, but glad I tried it. While it was ok, what did surprise me was, the meat came in pretty thick slabs (perhaps 1/4 inch) rather than deli sliced. The meat itself was of good quality and tasted great, but was void of tenderness. The bread, while not stale, wasn't same day fresh, so I just tore off the hard edges.Cole slaw was terrific and the person at the front end taking orders was very friendly, knowledgeable and had a great big smile for you!

This is a cute little deli that's essentially in the parking lot of the Ohio House Motel.In fact, if you are staying at the Ohio House, and you book your reservation THROUGH THE MOTEL WEBSITE, you get a voucher for free breakfast. Note my emphasis because this does not apply if you book using another site; ask the Motel to price match.Note that the deli is not open every day though. EDIT: the owner just commented that they ARE open every day! That's nice. I appreciate that he read the review. The deli: The food was good, we had bagel sandwiches. Nice and fresh, quality ingredients. Staff are really nice. It's a very small place and it takes a bit for your food to be ready. It's quite small inside; it's a deli so you can't really expect a lot of seating.They have house-made dill pickles! Half-sour, which I have to admit is not my favorite kind of pickle since it hasn't fully transformed from being a cucumber. But it's still a house-made pickle, and that's always a good thing. Just writing this review made me remember that I came to Chicago with my Mom about 40 years ago and she was disappointed that she wasn't able to get a deli pickle. Like, really disappointed. So I will have to let her know! I will bring one home for her next time. I think they only sell them as spears though so I hope that's ok.

LOVE this spot. Packed on the weekends but absolutely worth the wait (though it wasn't even that long- maybe 15 mins). You can sit inside or take it to go. It's fun to sit in the window! Everyone working there was so chipper and kind. The menu is full of traditional Jewish food. You need to get the latkes. Melt in your mouth- just OMG. Plus any bagel you choose will be delicious, they are fresh and delectable.

I needed a quick bite after work and saw this deli on Yelp with amazing reviews so decided to check it out. The inside has beautiful vintage diner decor, there is so much charm inside! The deli was remarkably clean, smelled delicious, and had the best service from the staff! I got the eggplant sandwich which had charred eggplant, lemon tahini sauce, and crispy latke on a Kaiser roll. The taste was 10/10, the eggplant was perfect - tasted smoky and delicious. The rest of the toppings made for the perfect combination of flavors and the roll held everything together so well. Everything is made fresh right in front of you, so you know that they're using the best ingredients and handling your food in the safest way possible. Honestly, I've passed by this deli numerous times but never noticed it! Cant wait to go back and try more items from their menu!

This is a cute location right near the Ohio house motel. They have a variety of sandwiches, soups and breakfast items on the menu. I got the lox bagel which cost around $17. Although the filling of the bagel was tasty, the bagel itself was very thin. The sandwich was on the smaller side so not super filling but was good to try once.

Wow, this place is soooo good. It surpassed my expectations. Walked in and wasn't entirely sure what to order so I went with the most basic thing. As basic as it was, it was so good. It's really always the simplest things that are the most delicious. I ordered a plain bagel with chive cream cheese and added an egg and bacon. Prices were pretty adequate considering and service was great. This place really gives a mom and pop feel. To my understanding this place sells until they run out hence why they had limited bagel options available.

I AM OBSESSED WITH SCHNEIDER DELI! Everytime I'm in Chicago it's a must visit and must take some home. The bagels are delicious, the service is amazing, and the ambiance is warm.

Stopped in to grab bagels for a meeting and had their turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich on their egg everything bagel. Amazing! Always remember to add a cream cheese shmear to your bagel sandwich. Game changer for breakfast sandwiches. They were quick and very helpful while ordering. 100% will be back next time I'm in town. The place is small so don't get turned off if you have to wait outside before ordering. It is worth it

Love this place. I've been wanting to go here since it's opened, as Ive been craving a nice jewish deli vibe that has good food that reminds me of home. It did not disappoint! The corned beef reuben was so good, the sauerkraut was probs some of the best flavor i've had and the meet was fatty and delicious. The matzo ball soup with challah was awesome when i soaked the bread in the broth Service was fast. The place was packed today to the brim but everyone was on top of their sh*t cleaning, packing up bags and delivering food. AND they still took the time to ask us how our food was while it was that busy. Super great spot we'll definitely be back to try the bagels
