Stopped in to Zeitlin's Deli today - had an amazing chocolate chip (with sea salt!) cookie. But the best part was the staff. Super friendly, kind and even though I only wanted one small item, helped me in the same way as if I had ordered the whole menu for lunch. The bagels look amazing so I will be back for a full meal soon! They're a newer spot in the From Here On Food Hall - great option for breakfast and lunch! You can order in person or ahead on the food hall website.

Return to office means return to finding go-to food when you're too tired/lazy/busy to bring anything from home. At OPO, Zeitlin's is an easy choice for bagels and anything from the grill. First, after a night out, you will not go wrong with any bagel here or bagel sandwich. Bagels probably rival best in the city and remind me of NYC, although I won't challenge anything there. Sam is great, handing out extras on Friday and gonna be around town at farmer's markets this summer. If you see this name, give it a go! You can't go wrong.

Really solid bagel and fillings. I had a sesame bagel with Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Tomato, Capers, and Pickled Red Onions. Fast friendly service in a very cool food court inside the old post office. Only downside of my experience was I had to pay $12 to park to enter the food court.

While strolling through the 61st Street Farmers Market on a bit of a whim, a companion and I decided we'd like a sandwich for lunch. Zeitlin's had one available: a lox and cream cheese bagel sandwich, for... SIXTEEN dollars. We simply shook our heads and walked away, aghast. Zabar's on the Upper West Side (of Manhattan!) charges $12. Don't tell me you have better lox here, and don't expect to win over folks in a working-class neighborhood with prices like that. I hear Zeitlin's is considering opening a brick-and-mortar store up in Hyde Park. GOOD LUCK. You may get some of the snooty professors to bite, but not much else.

Tried a real Jewish Deli after the bad experience at Zeitlin's. Their corned beef & pastrami is phenomenal.

Charged $8 for two bagels at the Wicker Park farmer's market with nothing on them. The bagels were nothing special. Cannot recommend

I was indecisive about what I wanted for lunch at the OPO and the cashier was adamant about me trying Zeitlin's and I was skeptical but I haven't had a deli sandwich in awhile and decided on the House Corned Beef sandwich with just swizz cheese and mustard on the side. It was grilled which I didn't expect but they gave my 3 slices of corned beef and it was thinly sliced for $19. A $19 sandwich from anywhere else would be a reasonable size to possibly even have leftovers but this was basically a grilled cheese with a few slices of meat versus the corn beef being a star of the show.
