"I can't believe that I've driven past this place for years and only recently tried it. Cuban Kitchen is now one of my local faves! So far, I've really enjoyed trying their plates and their amazing fried appetizers. Their plates include a generous portion of meat (or vegetables/meat replacement), rice, black beans, and maduros (sweet plantains). I usually get their pollo mojito, which has a great garlicy flavor that pairs well with the earthy beans. (Plus, you can swap the default white rice for yellow rice for a $1 upcharge, which is definitely worth it.) Their appetizers include yuca fries (which are so airily crispy), tostones (which are fried perfectly), and maduros (which are always plump and floral), and you can get all three as the sampler platter. What helps take their food from really good to great are their sauces. They bring three sauces to your table: Guabanero BBQ Sauce, Guantanamo Aioli, and Cienfuegos. The Guabanero is fruity from the guava, but has just enough of a kick from the habanero, and it's a thicker sauce that goes well with their meat. The Cienfuegos has a similar flavor profile, but as a dedicated hot sauce, it's a little hotter and thinner. The aioli is creamy without being too rich, so it really complements the fried appetizers. And they give you the sauces in full-size squeeze bottles, so you can use as much as you like!I'm Puerto Rican, and the vibe of this place was as if my grandma had opened a restaurant. It's a great reminder that Boricuas and Cubanos are pájaros de las mismas alas!"
"Dive bar with some tables around the bar and pool table. Great menu and we got burgers and onion rings. So delicious! Service was really nice too. Will be returning!"

"Great food, fast service, good fit take out or dining in, this has become a regular spot for us. Love it! Could use some music or something, it tends to be a little quiet"
"I was in the neighborhood and I had to drop by Dittmer's.Happy 45th birthday Dittmer's!Just had time for a quick dash inside Dittmer's today to pick up a little something. They re-organized the store and I like it. It's a lot easier to find stuff because they've grouped like items with like. Found some cool new items - the smoked cheddar - that I haven't seen before and I had to try it. Then I picked up my old standby smoked ham hocks and was off.Customer service was cheerful and pleasant and they were handing out some spices to celebrate their 45th birthday.Parking was tight as usual, but as usual someone left just as I rolled inStore hours are 9 to 4 Tuesday thru Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. The sandwich bar is still closed due.to Covid."
"My family and I have been dining here for years, even when it relocated to current location.Service is excellent with an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees!! Took us awhile to figure out!! Ordered the Filipino Tocino , chili con carne omelet, Truck stop special,Joe's special with an appetizer of Sigsig....! All with a generous portion of hash browns w grilled onions -a "must have" here!Just a typical "hole in the wall" (near Ross and Trader Joe's) but serving up delicious Comfort foods with a Filipino flare!!"
"Been looking for a banh mi shop in Campbell area and stumbled upon Yummee! I saw the sign and figured why not give this place a try! I got sandwich #1 with the cold cut and pate! The restaurant name is very well deserved because yummy was the first thing I thought when I bit into the sandwich. Soft bread center, but still a toasted on the outside, fresh bread. Delicious pickled vegetables, and the meats are so fresh and tasty. Super fast and great customer service too. There are a couple of small tables inside and a couple outside (great for the upcoming season, especially since it's starting to warm up). I also wanted to commend how kind the staff were because the owner's husband called her and told her to tell me I had a flat tire, I had no idea. She was really kind to let me know and then I was able to get a tow truck. She let me stay inside and sit while I wait since it was chilly. Super grateful for the kindness that was shown and I can't wait to try their bo kho and grab a couple more banh mis to go next time :)"
"I went here for the first time to meet a friend and had a wonderful experience. Fantastic coffee shop experience with a great beach town vibe.Although the weather was cool and foggy, nothing could spoil the great time sitting outside observing surfers, dogs, and locals alike.I had a pour over (medium roast) with the steel cut oats. The coffee was so perfectly balanced, not bitter, and just right, I didn't need cream or sugar. The oats were amazing. So perfectly textured and creamy, with a nutty flavor. I thought they had made it with heavy cream. I was astounded to learn they hadn't. Fantastic experience, def. try it if you get the chance. Everything that went by our table, from omlettes to salads, looked delicious. I can't wait to try the other goodies on the menu."
"Pretty solid smoked brisket sandwich!! For $15, it was a quality sandwich and very tasty. Location is a little off from downtown, but that helps with the parking situation a bit.I would come back for sure!"
"Garlic noodles are amazingAmbiance is small and a bit congested Service is good family owned. Cleanliness an area of opportunity ."
"My favorite place for Banh Mi.Love the option of a small sandwich size. It's the perfect size. The ingredients are fresh and consistent. The person at the register was nice and patient. The interior was clean. It can get busy so there is a little little wait.I wish they were on DoorDash from where I live."
"One of the best burgers I've ever tried, both vegan and non-vegan. I recommend ordering garlic or sweet potato fries. The salads are large, enough for two people. Highly recommended! :)"
"I just want to give a shout out to Fernando Perez for his great attitude and excellent customer skills!!! He always has a can do attitude and is always with a smile! I love this place and their food!!!Great Job to all and Thank you Sancho's for Hiring just right!!!Jim H."

So happy with this restaurant! We ordered maduras, vaca frita, yuca Fritas, surf n' turf, pastelito de guava and the guava cranberry nectar drink!l yummy dinner...The maduros are sweet and well cooked and not too mushy as some can be, goes so well with their aioli sauce! (Recommend dipping). The yuca is also so good with the aioli. We enjoyed the surf n turf and got really generous with the sauces in it.The vaca frita is a little salty so I dipped it in a lot of aioli lol I can't get enough of their homemade aioli. The pastelito de guava is NOT on their menu but be sure to ask for it, our server Angel gave us an extra guava sauce on the side, he said it'll be good for dipping the edges of the pastry... he was right! Come by! All good flavors! Try the sauces! Thanks Angel!

The Hidden Spot is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of South San Francisco! The restaurant is technically located within the Hometown Heroes Bar right on Grand Ave. The space itself is pretty small, but deep, and can hold a good amount of people. There is a bar with around a dozen seats. There are three tables across from the bar that can fit four each, and another three tables and additional spots to sit in the back behind the pool table. This is definitely a sports bar vibe, but clean. It's open, well lit, and there is a bunch of cool music-themed art inside. As noted, there is a pool table that is often available, and TV's along the bar and in the back. They have the ability to play different things on different TVs, so it was nice to see some variety when we arrived (baseball, soccer, e-sports). We had asked them to put on the Giants game in the back where we were sitting, and they happily changed it for us. The food is the real reason we came! We had heard about this spot via Yelp, and ordered food for delivery a few times during the pandemic. The food was always good, but never fresh. We finally decided to try it IRL last year to get the full, fresh experience. It was SO good, we had to bring a friend back just recently when we had the opportunity. They feature highly elevated bar food. Think burgers, sandwiches, wings, fries, etc. The Burgers are Wagyu, the sandwiches are THICC, the wings are huge and crispy, and the fries are seasoned. Some of the things we've had:The Sheriff (Burger - Cheddar Cheese, Beer Battered Onion Rings, Grilled Onions, BBQ Sauce, Mayonnaise, $17) - This is a huge and delicious burger! We added bacon, which is the move. The onion rings are crispy and delicious! Super juicy and packed with flavor. Past (Sandwich - Certified Angus Beef Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Coleslaw, Hidden Sauce, Honey Mustard, MK Sauce, $15) - Got this on Dutch Crunch and loved it! Such a flavorful sandwich with all the sauces! MVP (Wings - Sweet & Spicy Soy Glaze and Topped with Green Onions, 5 for $10 or 10 for $18). These are some of the best wings I've had in a long time. They are huge, meaty, and flavorful. The MVP sauce is one of my favorites, anywhere. I love dipping wings in ranch, but this sauce is so good I usually just eat it straight. Honey Garlic Butter (Wings, Topped with Sesame Seeds) - Another winner. The flavor on these is insanely good, definitely recommend! Beer Battered Onion Rings (SM $8, LG $10) - These are crispy, fresh and delicious. There is a perfect ratio of batter; not too much, and not too onion-y. They pair well dipped in any of their sauces! Seasoned Fries (SM $7, LG $9) - Some of the best seasoned fries I've had. Perfect size, perfect crispiness, and so much flavor in the seasoning. Again, pairs well with any of their sauces!Sauces - There are 12+ house made sauces. They have the basics like ranch, blue cheese, BBQ, buffalo, but also various aiolis, spicy ranch, Hidden Sauce, MK Sauce and more. My only complaint is that the serving is a little small for $1/each; I have to spend $15-$20 just on sides of sauce!Overall we've enjoyed both experiences eating at Hidden Spot in Hometown Heroes. The food is soo good, and definitely tastes better when you eat it fresh, rather than ordering delivery. Thanks to all the hardworking staff, but a special shoutout to Erick who enhanced our experience. He was particularly friendly, helpful, and generally awesome!Already looking forward to my next meal at Hidden Spot! Check the reel on IG: @bbnem.eats

**changing my review since we were surprised to find they decided to send the salads after all. Saddened this isn't always allowed as we were told though. Just paid over $60 for two omelets with hashbrowns and toast. My partner and I don't eat heavy carbs anymore as she recently found out she's diabetic and was told she could slip into a comma if she doesn't change her diet. I called in to ask the toasts and hashbrowns be removed so they wouldn't need to go in the trash. I was offered a side salad in their place and instructed to always call to have this adjustment made. Today when calling I was informed my adjustment was not possible and asked instead what type of toast I wanted after already explaining I don't eat bread. To offer side salad in place of a large portion of hashbrowns seems more than fair, but to tell me I can no longer do that after being instructed to call and already placing my order is bad business. I will no longer order from this flip flopping establishment.

Got here in the late afternoon and service was friendly and quick. There's a small seating area inside with three tables and some outside. Seems a bit more like a grab and go place- the few people that came in during the same time took theirs to-go.I tried the #4 Grilled Pork combo (with a can soda and mini bag of chips- good selection). The baguette is truly the star here, sooooo fresh and soft and crispy. They don't skimp on the toppings - the flavors all went so well together. Will definitely be back!Parking is easy in the lot- a bonus!

Such a cool experience heading to one of the best coffee spots in Pacifica ~ with a line out the door and surfers coming/going from the coast, it's def the spot to be. Walking distance from our overnight lodging, we had the opportunity of having Soul Grind a few times during our stay in Pacifica. You can scan a QR code to view the menu while in line to speed up your time with the cashier, or there are actual menus to grab when you get through the front door. Really great menu of in-house roasted coffee, a selection of teas, "soul chai", teas, iced drinks, and fun specialties like charcoal lattes and a latte with a home-made mix of vanilla & caramel called the Cliffside. The food menu is stellar with a little something for everyone ~ breakfast bagels, parfaits, toasts, quiches, soup/sandwiches, hearty grain salads, pastries/quick grab desserts, and brunch on weekends (Friday-Sunday;7am - 1PM). The iced chai, macchiato, and iced cold brew (slow-brewed for 18 hours), were perfection. We chose to grab brunch at another spot because we were on limited time, but would def come back to grab something fun from the menu. Friendly service, line moves quick if prepared, and can't beat the awesome people watching/surfer gazing. And there's plenty of cool merch to think over while waiting your turn. All in all, the hype is real..I was hangin all the way ten' for sure!

"There's a Subway down the street and if you go there instead of Bonne Sante Broadway, do us all a favor and slap yourself. I had the Hottie Sandwich with everything on a soft French roll and it was arguably the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a lot of deli sandwiches in my life (peep my check-in history). The size of the sandwich was intimidating but I put my work in and demolished it, savoring every delicious bite. Don't get me started on their signature sun-dried tomato tapenade, chef's kiss. Definitely a local family friendly vibe and service was helpful and fast. Fortunately, I don't live too far away because I'm definitely going to become a regular!"
"We're visiting San Jose for a few days and have had Vietnamese food at different restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is by far the most delicious and authentic place that we've visited. Looking at the items for picking (in pictures), they looked exactly like how I had remembered growing up in Ho Chi Minh City. The dishes were very authentic and tasty. We highly recommend the fish cakes."
"All I ever crave is a Turkey sandwich and now we have an amazing halal deli shop! Alhamdullilah! The menu is actually pretty extensive. They have gyros , falafel , paninis. I think I even saw orange chicken! But you can't go wrong with a sandwich! The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious! I'll be coming here again inshAllah! Definitely recommend"
"I'm a bit selective when it comes to my wings. I like them to be saucy, but not wet because the wings end up being soggy. But not Fire Wings' wings. I ordered the Saigon wings and the Dragon wings. It's perfectly flavored - umami, spicy, and spicy! Not to mention, the wings were still slightly crispy. I also ordered the chili cheese fries. My first time trying it ever and I actually liked it. The fries were coated and still crispy. Fire Wings is definitely worth trying (again and again)."
"This is my go to spot for a little post dinner dessert. They have the best cakes! The mango mousse and pistachio mousse is SO good. My family and I love ordering one of their mousse's and enjoying it after dinner. It has the perfect touch of sweetness without being overwhelmingly sweet. They sell them by the slice then have two other options for a full sized cake. Can't recommend it enough!"
"My family and I were walking around Stanford Shopping Center one weekend morning when my mom wanted a snack. My family loves pastries and we saw a line for La Baguette, so we went inside to see for ourselves. The inside of the store is too compact for seating, but you will see a good amount of tables, chairs, and umbrellas just outside the store in the middle of the large walking space. La Baguette had two large displays, one with cakes and cake slices, another with the baked goods and a few sandwiches. We paid at the counter and asked for our croissants to be heated, so we were given a number and instructed to wait outside for our order to be called. We bought two croissants, one plain and one filled with ham and cheese. Both were ginormous and thus perfect to split among four people. The staff conveniently split them in half without us asking. They were sooooo crispy and flaky that they're impossible to eat without getting crumbs all over. The texture inside was really soft, not the generally dense texture my average croissants are from all the butter. We had a good amount of ham and cheese in ours, and you get a thin layer of cheese crust on top of the croissant itself. Overall, La Baguette is a great pit stop for our morning in the area. I thought about getting the sandwiches, but they looked heavy on the bread and light on the filling. I will probably stick to their croissants!"
"This place is ran by the sweetest kindest man I would imagine he's Mr. Mardini. Every time I come in, he greets me with a smile. He makes sure that I have what I want. He remembers my order and always gives me extra garlic sauce. I get his veggie plate. The baba ganoosh Is unlike anyone's I've ever had with fresh herbs in it. The hummus is yummy and falafels tasty. I recommend it, most of all, for the love that he puts into his food. It's very fresh and very good"
"We catered Che-Lo for our holiday party and it was a hit! I placed my order in person, and the owner and daughter were super helpful in providing recommendations to accommodate my needs. We ended up ordering 2 types of banh mi (cut in half and lightly wrapped in parchment paper), a tray of shrimp spring rolls and 2 types of tea. Since I wanted the drinks in a large serving container (instead of individual boba style cups), they offered to lend me their own pitchers which worked out perfectly for our party.10/10 would recommend and will easily choose them again to cater our next party!"
"Unbeknownst to Crust, my closest coworker suddenly passed away this morning. I spent all morning vacillating between shock/numbness and crying. Eventually I decided to order Grubhub for lunch. I wanted something comforting, so I ordered my favorite chipotle chicken sandwich from my favorite sandwich spot, Crust. During my online order, I added a few requests and sent a note that I hoped they had a nice weekend. My order arrived swiftly and when I opened the bag, I saw that they threw in a cookie too. I almost started crying again because of their kindness, without even knowing how my morning went. The sandwich was perfect; crunchy yet chewy, perfectly tangy with the sourdough bread, hearty portions of chicken, delicious chipotle sauce. It never fails me. It's always my go-to when I'm feeling down.Thank you Crust, for adding a slice of brightness to such a heartbreaking day."
"If you have to kill time before departing at SFO, go here! Or if the person you're picking up from SFO is starving and they're open, go here! Good parking lot. Don't have to find street parking."
"I have sat down twice and ordered take out twice. I get gluten free and so far everything I've had is delicious. Crepes, burgers, sandwiches so far"
"I've been here a few times but not recently - in fact it's been a few years. And when I've gone, I've always ordered a burger - that is what they do after all! But the chili caught my eye on the menu so decided to change it up.The portion was large - enough remaining for lunch the next day. I didn't see any pics on Yelp so wasn't sure what to expect. There are many types of chili but I like just about all of them so I wasn't too worried. The consistency is almost like sloppy joes although not as sweet - you could definitely make a sandwich out of it. It comes with two slices of toast for just that purpose. If you are expecting more soup like then I would skip.Apologies for the pic - already had a few bites (have to remember the phone eats first!). I asked them to hold the cheese. It was filling and tasted pretty good - not the best ever but solid 4 stars for that type of chili. We also had the shoestring fries and onion strings which were both amazing!"
"First time. One of those places with the TV on playing Tubi. Friendly gal at the counter. Ordered the $12 chicken teriyaki bowl to eat onsite. About 6 customers eating at the tables (all lonely males this Valentine's Day). Rice was hot! Chicken was warm and the steamed broccoli was fridge cold. One use wood chopsticks were good quality. Sirachi packet and soy sauce in a bottle along with salt and pepper is available at the counter. If they are open to suggestions I would stream anime or J-pop, Use Japanese ceramic teriyaki bowls for sit down use instead of plastic, add some Japanese pepper seasoning at the counter and a "special" house mayo dressing sauce bottle for the broccoli that needs to be served warm. I would also add the store name to the menu signage inside. Hot green tea would be a nice option."
"Nom Nom, these burgers are really good!Ok ok, hands down one of the best burgers I've had in the Bay Area here. I've had them countless times & it's time to give up the flowers for them. They are definitely nom & pops style food here & I appreciate it greatly as it's hard to find the non commercialized flavors. They are consistent & the food is deelish for sure. I've never had a bad meal from here & that's to be celebrated in the world of fast food. There is nothing fancy or anything about this place but great/consistent flavor/taste is what they have. I will always be back! All burger heads, whether you k ow it's the enemy or not, this is a good cheat meal for the conscious.Cheers!"
"Was suggested to try out this spot, so glad I did. Hands down, the crispy duck sammy hit so hard. The tenderness of meat was yummy. The bread was fresh and crunchy but soft enough to devour. Good size sammy for lunch unless you like sharing it with another. Overall the combo of slaw and duck, ughhh say less. I took order to go but there is a good amount of seating indoors. Menu has such a variety, will come back to try more. Service was prompt and didn't have to wait too long for order."
"Stopped by after a day at Arden farms. It was kinda empty but everything looked very clean. They didn't have any high chairs nor booster seats, just FYI.What we ordered:Pasta Alfredo with Chicken -10/10 portion was huge and the flavor was real good.Kids spaghetti - 10/10 portion was huge for a kid but it was real yummy. Greek salad - 9/10 I love when places add salt and pepper to a salad. The chicken was well seasoned too. The crumbles of feta w chunks of cut tomatoes and cucumber just really brought it together. I didn't even use the dressing because everything was so flavorful. 1 point off because the olives were not pitted, so be real careful when ordering this item.Cheesey bread - 10/10 wow this was real good!Funny thing is that each item comes with garlic bread so we had an overage but that's fine, we took it home. Really great experience and very nice workers."
"We always come back to this Ike's location. Prices are still good for what you get and the consistency of the sandwiches is what brings us back every time. The staff are always friendly and pick up is a breeze. Even when we have to wait a bit, it's because this location is packed which is a good thing others enjoy is as much as we do. We don't eat there but it's nice they offer tables for those that do or to sit and wait. We also love the loyalty cards they offer which keeps us coming back."
"We have been regulars at this cafe for about two years now. My children and I love their tasty croissant sandwiches and tuna salad sandwiches. They also love the teas.We dined there yesterday and I decided it's been long overdue to write a review. I was surprised to see some of the more critical reviews here. We also dine at both Mints and Honey and Foreigner in San Mateo and feel all the cafes have their own appeal. We have no complaints and love the atmosphere at Le Croissant Cafe. So perfect with the Olympics in France too! My family owned a family business and those who write critical reviews so easily with "elite" or non-elite status are unaware how it can make or break a small business. The owner and his wife (I think?) are such kind, hardworking people. We love supporting mom and pops shops...especially on Broadway. I was also surprised when we visited after a couple months and they remembered us. The owner takes the time to chat with people who are open to it. You get what energy you give. We are definitely satisfied regulars and look forward to our next visit."
"One of the best chicken sandwiches, I ever had. I got the medium spice level with hot honey. The chicken had a great level of spiciness, super crispy from the outside and very moist from the inside. The portion size is huge, good enough for 2 meals. With the addition of hot honey, it takes you to a different world of food bliss. We also got fries and coleslaw. Both were nice and tasty but portions were small and can be better for those too as the sandwich."
"Came here for a few slices of pizza and met the owners. She was so sweet! Shout out to Tina! Thank you for the amazing service and chatting with us.The food was great! Decent price and great flavor."
"It's hard to find decent pho in Campbell. I think rents are too high. I was happy to try this out and liked the pho. Usually, we drive out to Milpitas or off Story, but we like this place because it's close."
"I dropped in randomly and got their famous tri tip sandwich. It's amazing. The staff is friendly and food is delicious. I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Yum."
"I've been to Kirk's a few times, and it's a decent spot to grab a quick burger. Ate here recently, wanted to try something new and decided to go with their chicken bacon ranch club sandwich with Cajun fries. The CBR comes on grilled sourdough bread with mayo, avocado, and bacon. The sandwich unfortunately was a bit too much bread and not enough filling. The piece of chicken was while seasoned, was paper thin. I think the meat to bread ratio for this sandwich could be better. The Cajun fries were good, but oddly sweet. For the chicken sandwich, fries, and a coke, plus tip, came out to $26. A bit steep for the amount of chicken you get but lesson learned, I'd stick with the burgers"
