Our server was super attentive.My wife had the Waygu beef burger med-well with sweet potato fries, both were cooked to her perfection. I had their quinoa gain salad and added grilled chicken, was fantastic, the flavor and size really hit the spot. Their house lemonade was delightful on this hot summer day. I got the marghertia pizza personal. I went to go inside and grab my food, and saw they were open! We asked if we could sit inside with our meal, but they rudely said no and that we had to order inside to be able to sit inside. Didn't know what difference it would've made considering it was empty. We ended up eating in the car. Onto the food- this is legit my favorite pizza! The crust was the perfect amount of crispness. The sauce was saucy. I prefer a little liquidity than tomato flavored. It was excellent. The proportions for bread, to sauce to cheese was on point. I came home with my leftovers and couldn't quite get the same level of crispy. Downgraded a star because of the rude staff."

Maybe a little bland for heat seekers like myself, but it serves its purpose. However, the Spring Rolls tasted like they were fried in slightly reused oil. And this seems like a consistent trend after a couple visits. Bottom Line: Perhaps an abandonment of the fried fare and a request for extra spicy on the dish may bump the rating up by a star. "Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon for lunch with a party of 5. It's a great hidden gem in Northern Liberties. The chef was our server for the afternoon, due to the unfortunate circumstances that their server couldn't make it in. The chef is very passionate about her food and it shows. Everyone enjoyed their dish. I ordered the secret menu item which is the sow fish (I think that's how you spell it). It was AMAZING 10/10 would recommend, I hope she puts it on the menu. The flavor profile was light and citrusy, the sauce was delicious the fish was perfectly cooked. The chef also made it extra spicy because I love spice. This will be our new go to Thai restaurant. They also have a really delicious Thai coffee which I might like better than Vietnamese coffee, and a really bug dessert menu, so do not skip out on dessert."

However, the Panang Curry was to die for - I had no issue slurping the entirety of my meal. My colleagues ordered different noodle dishes, and the portions were huge! We shared an order of the Golden Triangles, which were okay - unremarkable, but tofu often is (sorry!!) We were all very happy with our main entrees, and I was the only one who didn't have an entire meal's worth of leftovers...a good value! Chatty and teasing, he is wonderful to talk to, but also knows when to vanish again and let you enjoy your food.And you Will.Sweet heaven.The caliber of the food brought to our table is far higher than a glance at the tables on the patio or the slightly drippy geometric patterns on the wall prepares you for. The plating was frankly lovely, and the flavours were absolutely to die for, from the lemony, garlicky eggplant to the sizzling, olive-studded chicken tagine. I came looking specifically for the pastilla, and the cinnamon-and-sugar-dusted, chicken and almond-stuffed pastry did not disappoint. Ultimately, the three of us could not finish everything, so a few scraps of leftovers, and a significant amount of baklava got packaged to go home. I recommend it, honestly, let the experience last as long as you can.So- We live hours south of this precious little place with its long couches and little round bolster pillows, but we Will be back. I'm sure I can find some sort of excuse in the area to make my way back up again, and bring friends. A significant portion of the menu is vegetarian, even, including nearly all of the appetizers (just get the mezze platter), and several other options including a tagine and a falafel gyro. "This place is the kind of place I want to really like. It's a corner shop run by a husband and wife, and that's it. No pretense. Just a grill and a few refrigerators. Big Joe runs the grill and his wife made the hoagie. (I assumed it was his wife. I didn't ask. My bad if it isn't.)I root for places like this. Maybe it's because I used to work for such a mom and pop place many years ago. But nothing matters if the food isn't good. So here goes. The wife and I split the Special Italian hoagie, which is Prosciutto, Hot Capicola, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Sharp Provolone, Hot Pepper Spread, onion and tomato with oil. I decided to get a small cheesesteak with fried onions to sample. The boy got his chicken fingers because he's 8 and that's what they do. I broke open that cheesesteak in the car first. I wanted to get that taste straight from the grill to be fair. They use Liscio's rolls which is a good start. Their small is basically a half a full sandwich where they cut the roll in half. And then they load up that half with a really good amount of meat. This roll was good and soft, although I usually like it a little crustier. Having it hot right off the grill made the roll come off softer. But it holds together well. The amount of meat gave it a juicy, slightly greasy but not in a bad way feel. I devoured it happily. It's better than the majority of Delco cheesesteaks out there for sure. I opened the hoagie at home and on the first bite I did notice something. The roll seemed to be a little more on the chewy side this time and the crust was a little more defined. With the cold sandwich it just behaves differently. But I liked that. The Special Italian definitely has more flavor than most regular Italians because they're using the spicier meats. That pepper spread had a powerful zing to it that takes it up a notch. This sandwich dances in your mouth. I will say that the provolone didn't come across to me as overly sharp in this mix. The taste of the meat and pepper spread kind of keeps the cheese more subtle here. For me, it definitely sits in the above average category for Delco. My boy gave a thumbs up on his chicken fingers. That's all you need to know there. As you can see by the photo they load up the plate too. Big Joe gives you a lot of food. For me, the hoagie is definitely above average. I've had better ones in my life but the better ones came from places where they were doing things like using crustier rolls that I prefer or using higher end meats. But this sandwich beats a lot of what's out there in this area. You have to be really on your game to beat this sandwich. I put the cheesesteak in the very good category. I've had better but this is on par with a lot of good ones. Now my wife really loved the hoagie. She loves that pepper spread and thought the ratio of everything was perfect. She's digging what Big Joe gave her tonight.Big Joe deserves your attention too."

Godfather Sandwich - Seeded Liscio's Roll, Parma Prosciutto, Soppressata, Dry Capicola, Pepper Ham and Sharp Provolone. Small $12.99 Large $15.99. The large was about 10-12". I asked for hot peppers and they were hot cherry peppers. Another point for that.When I unwrapped the sandwich I was greeted by a gorgeous layer of Prosciutto on top. I loved everything about this sandwich, from the fresh seeded roll, the hot cherry peppers, the delicious meats to the bite of the real sharp provolone.The menu itself is so well put together. We started with coffee, $2.99/cup, with refills.My wife ordered the Salmon Florentine ($15.99) - two poached eggs, with spinach and salmon topped with hollandaise sauce, served on an English muffin with home fries. She did not care for the hollandaise sauce and thought the home fries could have spent more time on the griddle getting crisped.I ordered the Farmer's omelet ($12.99) - I don't know how many eggs, but it seemed like more than two, with ham, sausage, peppers, onions, and bacon. It came with a side of home fries, and I chose to add raisin toast for an upcharge of $.35. I agree with my wife that the home fries would have been more to our liking if they were crispier. The toasted raisin bread was very good. It was thickly sliced and flavorful. I also enjoyed my omelet, but I can't say it was outstanding.After reading another reviewer's comment, I do feel obliged to comment that the men's restroom was very clean. I did find it very difficult to connect with Yelp while sitting inside. Initially, my search only found Nudy's - Audubon, so checked in there by mistake."

"Deep in the wilds of Northeast Philadelphia, Bleigh Avenue to be precise, lies a single corner row house that has been converted from residential to commercial use. Out front hangs a wooden sign that says, "Northeast Sandwich Co." Easy to miss, but worth the find.Within lies a small takeout kitchen specializing in breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Order at the counter, watch the solitary worker prepare and package your meal, and then cashier you out. There are a half dozen stools along two window shelves for those who prefer to eat while the food is at its apex taste, but for the vast majority of costumers, walking away bag in hand is the better choice. The vibe in the shop just isn't that warm and fuzzy. Still, I opened my package at my desk and was very pleased to see a plump homemade sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, almost falling out of its kaiser roll. The sausage patty was easily twice the thickness of a standard commercial variety, and was nicely spiced and textured. Same with the scrambled egg folded in fourths and surrounded by melted cheese. This was an epic zoftig morning oversized creation. First bite surprised me with all that savory flavor from the sausage, while the double eggs softened the experience and melded well with the cheese. Taken together it was a superlative tactile and tasty moment. I slowed my chew to enjoy each element and the overall gestalt. This was no ordinary sandwich, and it deserved all my attention. The sandwich alone garnered five stars, although to be frank, the absence of coffee for purchase was disappointing. Too, I didn't see a smile from the proprietress until I stuffed a bill in the tip jar. Just sayin..."
