"My burger looked almost like the picture and tasted even better. I'm always skeptical when I see a burger joint that isn't mainstream. I decided to try Jimmys Famous Burgers today. I ordered the #1 and doubled my patties. The burger came with fresh hand cut fries and a nice frozen strawberry lemonade. The burger meat tasted fresh and looked like it was handcrafted. Someone definitely took pride in cooking these patties up as they had a nice sear with a really soft chew that melted in my mouth. The burger didn't seem to have a lot of seasoning on it but the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard all kicked in and gave it a good flavor. I was most impressed and my burger even almost looked like the menu advertisement! Also it was a pretty big burger. I'm a big guy and it took two eating sessions for me to finish. The fries were fresh but I waited a bit too long to eat them. But no complaints here because these were hand cut and didn't taste like the normal fries that most restaurants in the local neighborhood use. I'd recommend getting mild sauce on these fries though. The strawberry lemonade was tasty! A Sweet, tangy, cold treat that is sure to help chase away some of the summer heat. I will be back to eat here soon!"
"Great place to eat lunch. Lots of selection to choose from. I ordered the Kale and Squash salad. I absolutely love it. It's a nice big bowl of greens, squash, fried onion, and I added steak and pecans. It's tossed in a very good dressing. Love it. The place is big, clean and roomy, with big open windows. Also there is outdoor patio seating with a nice large screen tv. There are a lot of TVs inside as well. The waiter is very nice, friendly, and attentive. Never had to ask him to fill my water."

Visit Restaurant Page"Hangry's is always solid as a greasy spoon option with great service and a parking lot just big enough to always have room for one more car. I've had many of the sandwiches at Hangry's and never had a bad experience. We recently came in for lunch with my kids, and I have to say that we need to celebrate how well Hangry's does as a family-friendly business. The staff treated the kids exceptionally well, and by the time my son's grilled cheese came out with bacon on it--a funny suggestion by the staff that turned out to be magic--my kids were in hog heaven. The fries are always perfect. The pasta is done just right, with pasta on the side or served right on it. The kicker were the shakes. I like them thick, and Hangry's still impressed me with coming in just a little thicker than that. We try to go here about once a quarter, and across maybe half a dozen visits, I've always left satisfied."
"We came here for a quick bite. I hate these beef places that have these slices of pizza on display. Because I only came for a beef and the damn slices look so good just staring at me. So I couldn't resist and ordered a sausage slice as well. This place gets pretty busy with a lot of pick up orders as well as grub hub and all that other crap. I waited longer than I would have liked to, but it really wasn't all that bad. I ordered my beef with hot peppers and dipped. The only way it should be ordered if I'm being honest..I'm only kidding. The beef was packed with flavor. Just the right amount of seasoning and they filled the bread up pretty well. The hot peppers were also perfect. Just the perfect amount and right amount of spice. One of the best needs served in the city. We also ordered cheese fries. They serve crinkle fries and then topped with the cheese. I prefer my cheese on the side so I can dip it but then again you get more cheese when they just pour it on top like how they did. The sausage pizza slice was pretty good, just not sure if I would order it again. We also ordered a hot dog but it wasn't all that great. The beef is where it's at here. I'll definitely be back."
"I have had this place on my list for a couple years and finally found myself in the neighborhood to go! Definitely some food competition on the block but Crisp holds its own. I loved the customer service and friendly staff. They love what they do and seeing the customers enjoy their meals. I ordered a 5 piece, two sauce, wing meal. I opted in for the sassy and Korean bbq. The cashier was so generous and allowed me to get a sac sac for free just to see how I enjoyed it. My personal favorite sauce of the wings were the Korean bbq as it's spicy and sticky similar to a glaze. And it has a kick of spice/ heat which is needed. You don't get bored with this sauce. The wings were large but super crispy. I'll be back for sure!"
"Came to the neighborhood bar to watch the bearcats game...with my 6 week old. They were happy to have us, turned them game on and let us sit in the back room by ourselves. It was perfect. Great service, plenty of space and hot cheese curds! Draft beer selection was ok and bathrooms weren't ultra pleasant, also no changing table but I get it as we probably shouldn't have had our baby in a bar. But it was mid day soooo anyway. Can't wait to come back later and try the burger!"
"Standard BBQ eats with decent value. Heard the wings are recommended, however I didn't realize this till after--so on my next visit."
"I randomly found this place in my Chicago trip because my hotel was only 2 blocks away.I was blown away. The chicken gizzard was tender, cheap, fresh and went so well with the hot sauce. I had chances to try out many fancy places in Chicago but I still remember the taste of the food here.Strongly recommended."
"My fiancé really enjoyed the jerk flavored tilapia. He said it was delicious and something he has not tried before. He would definitely get it again. He said the spaghedough was different but he liked it. It was made with turkey. We ordered a grilled chicken salad, I thought the chicken was very good and seasoned well. My only complaint would be the salad itself was small and they forgot my roll. I didn't feel it was worth what I paid, which was about $13 or so. Lots of street parking nearby, easy access to restaurant."
"Have only been once but. The chicken wings are good. Service is good for fast food place also a nice neighborly atmosphere. Was fun to see customers interacting with staff As I always I say fast food means you don't have to cook it ! Will be going back."
"This spot has been on my radar for so long. This restaurant has a Saturday night (8pm to 10pm) Happy Hour. Woot Woot. The Happy Hour covers the whole establishment, so you don't have to sit in the bar to get the special. Btw the bar is super tiny. Anyway, we put our name on the list for a table. We were sat in under 5 minutes. In all honesty we were just coming for the $5 cocktails. Had I knew that we could sat down and ate, we would of gotten food. By the time we got here, we were already tipsy and fed. For drinks we I decided on the Malbec ($5 bucks) and my husband got the Old Fashion ($5 buckaroos). Decided to get dessert and one more drink before ending our night. I would come back here or another late moght happy hour. Everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was old school."
"Not bad at all. Catfish was made fresh and perfection. Fries taste good also. Definitly will return to see what else that they have on their menu"

Ordered a gyro cheeseburger and fries through Uber eats other than the food being a little cold which was no fault of the restaurant I must say it was one of the best gyro cheeseburgers I've had the the gyro was cooked perfectly and the fact they used real hamburger made it that much better it was seasoned and flavorful I'll definitely be ordering from them again

Alright, so I'm not exactly what you'd call a sports bar aficionado, but all my buddies are crazy about The Fifty/50. One night, feeling a bit adventurous (thanks to some green inspiration), I decided to tag along. And let me tell you, it's not your typical sports bar vibe - more like a laid-back, updated neighborhood hangout. We strolled in on a quiet night, got seated right away, and then, jackpot - they were doing bottomless wings. Now, usually, the word "bottomless" raises an eyebrow, but these wings? Absolute game-changers. No kidding. And the waffle fries? I'm convinced they're sprinkled with some kind of magical seasoning and fried in oil from another dimension. Seriously, I'm not easily impressed by fries, but these were next level. But, and there's always a but, the service was on the slower side. And I mean, it wasn't busy - I'll say it again, NOT busy. Our server acted like taking our orders was the most tedious task on the planet. Chicago service, it's like playing the lottery - this time, we didn't win. Now, let's get back to the good stuff. The Fifty/50 is the kind of neighborhood bar you want in your life. The food? Explosively good. Those wings and waffle fries might just be worth dealing with a server who's moving at a glacial pace. Casual vibes all around, making it the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy some top-notch bar cuisine, and, if you're lucky, catch a game on the side. So, in a nutshell, if you're down for a chill atmosphere, stellar wings, and waffle fries that'll make your taste buds dance, The Fifty/50 is your spot. Just be prepared for the possibility of service that's a bit more tortoise than hare.

This is my 2nd time trying this establishment in the last month. OMG so good. 1st each time the customer service has been top notch. Super welcoming and helpful in trying to decide what on the menu to get. Both visits I had to get the wings. Two words: Belmont Cragin. Get them! The flavor of garlic and spice is so so good. I also opted for the staple of the horchata slushie. So so good. Lastly, we tried the chicken fettuccine. Again, thumbs up all across. I will be back.

Not as great as I remember. Still, with inflation this is the most affordable basic burgers, hot dog and gyro establishment. The gyro plate was tasty. Although no online order options to request extra pita on the side. Their Italian beef sandwich was below subpar and not worth trying again. Very little to no flavor. Fries are crinkle and while good were too salty. Overall, the gyro meat was the tastiest. It's a hard C.

Crisp has a lot of hype around it, and I think I need to come back and try something else, so this review is mainly for the wrap. I liked the laid back atmosphere and the picnic tables. The burrito was huge and had a lot of veggies and chicken but it was pretty dry and I felt like it needed a cohesive sauce or something to tie it all together. I was putting siracha on every bite, and I was hoping that the chicken in the burrito would be saucy enough itself, but it didn't have much to it. I don't think I would get this again. Sounds like the wings are better, so I'll have to come back!

The bartender kicked us out because my wife had her service dog. He said, and I quote, "unless you're blind, get out!" He was pretty aggressive. Blatant discrimination. I will be filing a report with the ADA/EEOC. The staff here needs and seriously lacks adequate training.

Ordered 2 because I wanted my coworker to try.We both give you a 9 on excellence!Portions, Taste, Warmth of food
Visit Restaurant Page"Went to the 83rd street location on a Saturday at 1pm with a party of 6. We were sat immediately. We ordered dessert for an appetizer, which I recommend. If we hadn't, we would have been too full to try it, and it was worth it. The peach cobbler was hot, and the caramel cake was cold. Both were delicious. I had the pot roast with green beans and creole corn. The pot roast and corn were delicious. The green beans were the best I've ever had. I was surprised by how much I liked them. The meal came with corn bread which tasted a bit like cake. So so good. The portions were plenty, so come hungry. I tasted the Mac and cheese. Hands down the best Mac and cheese I have had at any restaurant. I also tried the Obama sweet tea. It tasted more like fruit punch, and I will order that for myself next time. The service was great. The atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and private. Will definitely be back. *no pictures of the desserts because we ate them too quickly."
"Amazing new Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood. Service is great , food is fresh and tasty. I look forward to trying more on the menu."
"very flavorful, well cooked food! excellent customer service as well, and they are really fast and open till 3AM. what a perfect spot for late night cravings. the fish nuggets are perfectly golden, crispy and airy. the chicken is juicy. everything well fried really well. I was definitely impressed by their food and customer service. I would rate them higher than all the other fried chicken spots honestly."
"Got the Gyro plate taste is amazing size is great for the price fries are on point. Customer service amazing"
"nice little counter service restaurant, not too busy during dinner time on a Friday, as they mostly take take-out orders (while we were dining there, we saw a delivery person come in every 5 minutes)The seafood pancake is pretty good, a bit on the oily side, seems almost a bit like deep friedthe Jjajangmyeon is a bit saltyThe bulgogi bap is great! but there's no veggie in it (in hindsight we should have ordered the bimbibap with beef instead)The KFC's skin is pretty good, tasty and crispy, but the meat inside is flavorlessWe also got the dessert, Hotteok, it's a pancake with brown sugar filling, it is quite sweet with the brown sugar, but kids like them :)"
"So far, one of the best pizzas I've had!! Don't go with the looks of the place. The pizzas are incredible! We ordered- 1. Chicken Kabob Pizza 2. Buffalo and Parmesan garlic chicken wingsBoth items were really delicious! The owner Simon is super friendly and is really loyal to his customers. I've been a regular customer. He has given me discounts most of the time, which I feel I have seen this rarely in other pizza spots keeping in mind they are a local business! Would keep supporting such businesses!Definitely check this place out!Tip : They are open till midnight Mon to Thursday. On Friday & Saturday, they are open till 2 am."
"Best Harold's in the city. I always used to get half white, salt/pepper and hot on the side. After a while I started getting mixed buckets because I could eat it and not have to cook for a couple days. The breading is nice and if you get your sauce on the side the chicken stays crispier.Livers are good and I like their okra too. There's no real consistency between different Harold's locations. Some are terrible. Some are decent. Some are real good. This location is my favorite for the consistent food quality.P.S. I know where they get their hot sauce and buy it to use at home. It's really good stuff, similar to Frank's but more vinegar and spice."
"Excellent biscuits with the creamy garlic spread. White meat pieces wound up dry - they are cut smaller and not as battered, so they needed less time than the thigh and drums that were thicker in terms of meat/batter. Thighs and drums were perfect - generously sized, meat tasted fresh, and right degree of doneness. Normally 8 pc is 3 thighs, 3 drums, and two breast pieces...they missed with an extra drum and minus a thigh. Mac and cheese was kinda flavorless. Cole slaw had some tang. Broccoli salad was not available as a side. As a new location of an established Bridgeview landmark, I would have expected the breast pieces to have been done right and more taste on the mac and cheese. The drum/thigh mixup could be a new staff/location thing that can easily be fixed (and was the least concern). We dined in and were impressed how the crew was handling all their orders (including online/call aheads). Just one register. Dine in orders are served on a tray and paper plates and plastic utensils are self-serve on the side. It's nice this way so that we don't waste utensils if we bring our own."
"My second time here and was as good as the first time. The chicken cutlets are huge and freshly made. I enjoy the pepper seasoning with mine. So fun to order and eat while walking around."
"MUST TRY!This place is close to our place so we had to try it. It was so good that I had to have it for a second night in a row. I got the gyro cheeseburger and honestly, this was one of the best cheeseburgers I've had. It's a regular cheeseburger with gyro. Great mixed. The meat is so good, flavorful, and juicy. The melted cheese is perfect touch. I love how there's a great amount of sauce but not too overwhelming. Great combo and done very well! It also comes with fries. It's a great choice for the quality and price. They are also very friendly. They take precautions for safe patronage and do things the right way. The menu is extensive so you can find whatever you're in the mood for. I definitely recommend this place."
"If I could give it ten stars I would. Decour inside is amazing and unique - I got the tteokbkki and the inari Korean sushi - phenomenal and the lychee tea was excellent. Total gem"
"Wow!! We were so impressed that there was such good Chinese food near us that we had no idea about!ready really fast (they said 10 mins, took 10 mins), it is very clean and orderly when you go to pick it up, prices are reasonable, and they packed everything in really nice Tupperware with extra utensils.Food wasn't the best I had but definitely satisfied the cravings and portions do not skimp at all. The fried rice gave SO many shrimp and the veggies were all good too."
"It was perfect to stumble upon in downtown Chicago open late after leaving out of the club! Nice fried fish & French fries! Service was cool & quick. We made just in time right before closing & still got fresh hot food."
"For bar food this is really solid, tad over priced. I dropped by and scooped the wings, fried garlic is a really nice extra touch, along with being super crispy and juicy. Would order again although the celery wasn't the right color. The deluxe potstickers are unlike any menu item I've tried before, really glad I went out on a limb and ordered them. The bar was pretty dead inside though lacking energy in"
"Liz is an incredible bartender and is forthcoming with specials and ideas for drinks! I really love being able to get something delicious from someone who clearly has an intricate knowledge and understanding of the palate. The vibe is super fun and I love the music bingo."
"I got an offer to go back in the place by Yelp to update my review. Went back in the other day, and oh my goodness this place got 10 times better. New design, same cooks and crew but now they're all technology and professional. My fish and chicken combo was still there and it tasted as good as ever."
"Korean Fried Chicken is the bomb but only CM has Korean Fried Chicken Livers. Soy garlic or spicy. I prefer soy garlic. Cost is $13 which is worth the cost. There are about 10 tables that you can sit, the area is small but you are able to watch the TVs hanging up or just people in the hallways. Take out orders are convenient as you will get a text when your order is ready for pickup. CM is located in the 88 Market across from Pure Tea. Free Parking."
"Ive been eating Eat & Run for at least 15-20 years now. This location has never disappointed me at all. Whenever I'm in town my mother orders a pan of chicken as a welcoming comfort for her distant family that is visiting from out of town. The recipe is the same and the chicken is always fried to perfection. I will always eat here and I will always recommend this establishment to future customers."
"I tried the Jumbo shrimp special, comes with fries, bread, and coleslaw. The breading on the shrimp was just perfect, not over seasoned. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were not dry at all. The fries had some seasoning as well and were great with mild sauce. The coleslaw was a just ok. Will definitely be back to try the wings."
"Love this place. Elite burger and nice staff. Will be back for sure. I just have to workout first."
"I love Black-owned businessesMy sister and I just finished church and were looking for a place to get something to eat. This new restaurant called Truffle was suggested, and it just so happened to be in the area I used to live in, so I was excited to try it out. The location is a nice size, almost Café style. The interior is sleek black with tables for two, but it can easily be put together if you have a larger group. They have a small bar, and the restroom is clean. They had one staff who was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices were decent, not too expensive. My sister got the salmon sliders, which she enjoyed. I got the chicken and French toast with a side of breakfast potatoes and eggs, which were good. The waiter asked me if I wanted strawberries on my French toast, which I was happy to accept; I would note that it was strawberry jam and not strawberries. Another interesting note was that they did not have ketchup or coffee, but they did have orange juice, hot sauce, and ranch. If ever in the future, I would suggest they add coffee to their menu. It is a trendy item, as is ketchup. All the food was seasoned very well, and I even met the chef. It was a very nice first experience. I would try out Truffle again, and I genuinely hope this business does well. Try Truffle if you're in the area and would like something different in Pilsen. On the first experience, solid 3 1/2 out of 5"
"Came in here on a random Tuesday night with some friends for some food, and this place exceeded my expectations!Super convenient location, and there was quite a few people in there considering it was a late Tuesday night. We all ordered some drinks and some food, I got the grilled chicken little sandwich with regular buffalo sauce- that was awesome! The seasoned fries too were addicting. Everyone loved their food, some people got wings, pretzels, burgers... seems like you can't go wrong with anything you order. I'll have to come back for brunch and/or to sit outside on the patio before the summer is over. All in all great spot!"
"I've been wanting to come here for years, and apparentlt, it's the first Black-owned barbecue spot in Chicago. I'm happy to report that I was well pleased with my visit. The vibes were immaculate (customers and workers were both lovely and fun to chat with while we waited), and lots of regulars coming in. The food was delicious - we got the rib tips and links combo as well as an order of fried shrimp. The prices are great, and I do wish I'd tried their fried chicken too (just to sample), since other people seemed to really like it. I especially enjoyed the tips and the fried shrimp was wonderful (I admit I love a fried item and fried shrimp in general might be one of my perfect foods). But definitely get the rib tips and links because that's what they're known for.As an FYI, My friend and I came here on a spring night and unsurprisingly, there was a bit of a line. I'd read reviews talking about lines in winter, so I was ready to wait. I would definitely factor that in if you're a newbie like me, so don't come too hungry because it's also takeout only, so you'll have to factor in transporting it home."
