I have seen this place every time I go to work. I have never been to a Halal Chicken joint, but decided that I would try this place out after the doctor. The good news is that the chicken was excellent and the portions are huge so I will be back, probably carry out. The only "complaints" I have is the timing. This place is set up as a fast food place, but the food is made from scratch and to order so it takes....awhile to get the food. On one hand, the food comes out very hot and fresh, but if you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. Also, they call their chicken fingers "Gaza Strips". Now I know that this was the name before the conflict in Gaza, but even then, this name seems a little bit in poor taste. Of course, its their business so they can call it whatever they want, but since Lincolnwood/Skokie is predominantly Jewish (with a little Muslim mixed in), I would think that they wouldn't want to possibly alienate some of their client base, especially with such good chicken! Food should bring us together! We are also all Americans here so your chicken should be celebrated! Due to the timing, I am probably going to order to go next time. It looks like they have some good catering so that might be an option. If you want some good chicken from a clean restaurant and possibly be helping a smaller business, this is the place to stop!

Put Holy Buckets on your foodie bucket list! What a great find in lincolnwood! @holybucketschicken just opened up recently and it's already such a popular place even though it just opened up it was packed inside! The service here is amazing as is the ambiance! The food was incredible here pictured is the holy bowl which comes with fries, mac and cheese, crispy chicken and holy sauce but instead we put the zinger sauce cause it's too good not eat! Also pictured here was the 3 Gaza Strip dinner which also comes with fries and a biscuit with sauce on the side:)) The food comes out fresh they make it as you order and it was the best quality and so delicious! This is a must stop in!!!

I wanted to give this place 5 stars. I literally waited along time to Holybuckets but ... anyways lets start with the good stuff. The restaurant is clean and nice. The menu is not complicated and the staff doesn't try to upsell. The gentleman with the glasses at the counter was very respectful. The bathrooms are clean as well. The food was fresh and crispy (atleast half of it). I ordered the mild dark chicken and I specifically requested to make it well done. The food was late but that part I get it because it was busy and they were making fresh food. I got the 8 piece, came all nice the first piece was very nicely done but then the second one was spicy and was uncooked. I let it slide and kept eating but then again with few other pieces. The staff was overall very nice and helpful except one guy and they might have an idea who but he was like unhappy and angry for some reason.

As others have said. Your food will take a while. So if you're in a rush and need a quick bite, I would go somewhere else. If you are willing to wait for good food, I would go here. This location used to be a Chipotle but they moved down the street. I'm really glad we have a place this high quality in the area. There is tons of parking outside and more by Lincolnwood Mall. Now onto the food. I got the Chicken Tikka burger and it was so good. The burger was messy but the sauce was amazing. The jalapeños and fried onions is such a good touch to the sandwich. My meal came with fries and a drink. The fries were good, think of Popeye's fries but a bit thinner. They give you a lot too. I got the lemonade from the drink machine and it was very watered down. Next time I'll just get the can. I also got a biscuit which was amazing. So buttery and flakey and with the warm honey butter on top really added to it. Next time I come, I will be getting like three. One thing about this place is the food is expensive. $18 for a chicken sandwich with a fries and a drink is a bit crazy especially since you have to wait so long for it. The servers were very nice tho. However they need to update their hours because they open at 12, not 11. Still, I will be back. I want to try more!

A few things here. The quality of the chicken and the breading is good. The sauce needs re work. Let me explain. The chicken quality is Zabiha halal hand slaughtered. The chicken was cooked well and pull apart. The breading was light and was not coated in heavy batter. The mango habanero sauce was lacking in flavor. It tasted like just sugar. There was no heat and tasted very bland. The same with the zinger sauce. The sauces need an upgrade. The ranch was thin and watery. Wings need good sauce and ranch. Overall there needs to be a improvement in sauce and ranch. Also the wings need to be tossed and coated all the way around more.

Gaza Strip chicken tenders so hard I can break a tooth or a window with it. Man handed the food after we've paid and said the oil was bad and that we definitely weren't going to like it.. why would you say that after we've paid,I couldn't chew it.

I wouldn't recommend the buffalo wings but the holy bucket bowl tasted Amazing microwaved as leftover lunch. The fries that came with the wings were also good. The buffalo wings' breading all dripped off unfortunately.

The best fried chicken I've had in Chicago!! They literally make every order fresh and it's worth the 15 minute wait. The biscuit was soft and buttery with a touch of honey on the bottoms and the mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy was great! Very clean inside the store as well.

Don't come here if you're hungry. After waiting 30 minutes for your order, you'll be further disappointed by the food. There is a sign at the register that says food is made to order, and we were given the expectation for about 15 minutes. Our food didn't arrive for 30 minutes, even though we saw others who ordered after us receive theirs before us. I ordered the mango habanero bowl because I was craving something spicy. It's a very large portion of food, but it was not spicy at all. They put way too much sauce on it that you can't really taste anything else. My husband ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, but it was drenched in a sweet sauce, not spicy. Perhaps they put the wrong sauces on our food. The fries weren't bad. I kept seeing new patrons receive their orders in a shorter time than we waited, so I really don't understand the 30-minute wait. My husband says the men's bathroom was filthy. I won't go into detail, but it's concerning if that is the restroom the same employees use when they go back to the kitchen. The women's restaurant was clean, though, and they kept the dining area clean. TBH, I think the only thing they have going for them is that the food is halal.

Excellent biscuits with the creamy garlic spread. White meat pieces wound up dry - they are cut smaller and not as battered, so they needed less time than the thigh and drums that were thicker in terms of meat/batter. Thighs and drums were perfect - generously sized, meat tasted fresh, and right degree of doneness. Normally 8 pc is 3 thighs, 3 drums, and two breast pieces...they missed with an extra drum and minus a thigh. Mac and cheese was kinda flavorless. Cole slaw had some tang. Broccoli salad was not available as a side. As a new location of an established Bridgeview landmark, I would have expected the breast pieces to have been done right and more taste on the mac and cheese. The drum/thigh mixup could be a new staff/location thing that can easily be fixed (and was the least concern). We dined in and were impressed how the crew was handling all their orders (including online/call aheads). Just one register. Dine in orders are served on a tray and paper plates and plastic utensils are self-serve on the side. It's nice this way so that we don't waste utensils if we bring our own.
