"**highly recommend making a reservation, seats fill up quick and calendar availability is up to 30 days+/- in advance****CASH ONLY**Shoutout to Germando for keeping in touch with me throughout the day (our 830pm reservation turned to a 1030pm + the last party of the night to dine-in l o l) and Sharon for the A++ service (heh thanks for flipping my bowl back so I could re-shoot a video)!Menu is focused on pizza , salads, and their famous pot pie so it's limited variety (i.e. didn't find spaghetti anywhere) Yelper Bonnie C. (hey love!) and I opt for the half pound Pizza Pot Pie, it can also be made vegetarian too (Sharon asked if meats and mushrooms were OK) It was a very cool video moment haha they make , making the pot , look so easy! The pot pie was constructed with a pizza dough bowl, red sauce, whole mushrooms, then a thick cheese layer to top it off It was good , essentially a fancier deconstructed Chicago Deep dish pizza in the shape of a dome / bowl hahaDefinitely recommend to try this at least once, a Chicago staple indeed!"
"Good service.. Got seated right away... I ordered the seafood gumbo and jumbo shrimp cocktail and both of them were really good. Gumbo was good, nice and hearty with a lot of flavor. The shrimp cocktail was good, cold and fresh.. Nice ambience, good service and good.. My friends and I came back to back nights while we were in town. That should let you know how good the food and service was."
Conceived by the owner in his Chicago Law Office while Dreaming of "il gran giorno" when he would open his restaurant, the Pizza Pot Pie has become a favorite of world-wide pizza connoisseurs who have graced the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company since its inception in 1972. The Pizza Pot Pie is an individual serving, "made from scratch" with triple-raised Sicilian bread-type dough; a homemade sauce consisting of olive oil, fresh garlic, onions, green peppers, whole plum tomatoes and a special blend of cheeses; sausage made from prime Boston butts; and doorknob-size, whole, fresh mushrooms. (Vegetarian pizza pot pie may be special ordered.)

"Such a hot day!!!! And we couldn't get into the Thai restraint we wanted to try so we walked here. First thing first, we were so thirsty!!! I ordered the citrus agua Fresca. Oommggaaaahhh it was so refreshing and delicious. Such a big cup for a decent price. I did have to water it down because it was pretty concentrated, gave me a bigger serving! Can't beat that. Tacos tacos! !!' All of it was so good! Barbacoa, al pastor and tilapia. The Al Pastor was my favorite!!! Glad I grabbed two. Barack was next and then the fish. Fish tacos are not always good and this was good! Each taco was filled with so much protein. The restaurant is pretty big with lots of seating inside and out. Service was outstanding!!! I honestly did not have a great time in Chicago with service and she gave the best service! This was my last meal and she gave me the best ending to my visit to Chicago!!!! Very upbeat, always smiled, seemed like she loved her job and was having fun at the same time, most I potently she was honest and didn't just give me an answer to get a bigger bill for a bigger tip. I would definitely recommend this place to Chicago visitors."
"This was our first night dining experience while visiting from out of town.We were difinitely floored by the quality of meats and the food that they served. When we arrived it was the fetival of events. The place was hyped and the place was packed on a Thursay night. There was already a line that was crawling with people. Thank goodness we had reservations because there was definitely a line that proceeded out the door. Once we sat, we ordered a customized seafood platter with their king crab cocktail and 4x additional shrimps. This was to die for.We also got an array of their seafoods and meats. We got their small filets and their sea bass. We couldn't help but get their sides of spinach cream and sweet potatoes. Our first night in Chicago was perfected thanks to our wonderful dining experience to the Gibsons."
"I loved this place and I'll be returning here everytime I'm in Chicago! My husband and I are avid steak eaters so we decided to check this place out!We ordered the wagyu tataki for an appetizer. It was delicious. The truffle on top really made it extra special. We also ordered the cowboy steak, truffle fries, and bleu cheese mashed potatoes. Delicious! I haven't had a good steak like this in a restaurant! For desert, we ordered the baked Alaska. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon (yes I know it says happy birthday lol), our waiter also brought us cotton candy. They flambé the baked Alaska at the table, so that was really cool! The desserts were also very delicious.Waiters are kind, service is fast. Your water is always topped off! The place is dark, but not too dark. The waiters don't make you feel rushed and the experience was overall a great one.I definitely recommend this place. Check it out!"
"Super cool spot if you're looking for vegetarian & vegan meals! It's very chill inside and they have a decent patio.I ordered one of their specials, the cauliflower crunch wrap with a side of fries. So good and it was prepped super fast! Big portion which left me feeling full the whole day. The cauliflower is thoroughly breaded and super crispy. You don't get a heavy taste of cauliflower which is nice.Love that their menu is extensive with tons of options. Next time I wanna try their nashville "chicken" sandwich!"
"To say this place was a great dinner would be an understatement. We had reservations, which I highly recommend because this place filled up very fast on a Tuesday night. The menu was the perfect size and had a ton of options for everyone. We ordered a couple different salads so we could all try and I ordered the ravioli with prosciutto. The food was unreal, but the service was even better. Our server was around ever few minutes checking to see if she could fill our wine and water glasses. By the time we finished dinner the manager had come over to check to see how our meal and experience was. Ashley was so incredibly nice and very helpful in choosing our next lunch and dinner spots. The food was incredible and the service was top notch."
"Two years later and I'm still giving Homeslice a 5/5! I truly love this place. The food is consistently good, the menu is extensive, the service is great, the place is cute with its decor, and they have tonssssss of seating outside and inside. The cocktails here are so good too.My favorite items here are their elote dip, Gettin Figgy With It pizza, hummus plate, and jalapeño homies. They have too many pizzas to choose from I love them all! Definitely recommend this place for a fun summer vibe and drinks/food with friends."
"Very classy restaurant, and it's fun to tell people you're eating at Michael Jordan's. The dining is upstairs with a cool walkway over the foyer downstairs. It is located in the Intercontinental Hotel and a good choice if you are within walking or Uber distance. Parking is not plentiful. There is no free bread though, which was disappointing. We got the filet which was just smothered in butter so much it had to be scraped off. The NY Strip comes with pickled red onion which I found unnecessary. Both were tender and juicy. For sides, the roasted baby carrots were really tasty as was the mac and cheese. They were pretty expensive for sides but were big enough for sharing. There weren't a lot of dessert options, so we passed on getting any. The service was good. For a nice occasion, this is a good option."
"We ordered takeout and were happy with the ordering experience. I really like the option to order either 3 or 5 rolls. Price point was also very reasonable.Rolls were fresh and well executed. I don't like much sauce with my rolls and a handful of these had mayo. The vibe was trendy and the place was very busy in a Thursday night."
"Grateful to be here on the Orthodox Easter with 2 of my close friends to celebrate my 2nd chance in life after the stroke ordeal! We started off with calamari and saganaki. Both was fried to perfection and delicious! For the main dish, I choose chicken kabob. It came with 2 skewers of white meat, tomato, onions, tzatziki sauce and 1 pita bread. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. There were enough tomato and onions to me to make small sandwiches using the pita. My friend opted for the roasted lamb from their Easter Special menu. She said it was very good. Her husband's chicken and pork skewers entree was equally good! They have a large parking lot with ample spaces for their customers. Large group for parties can be accommodated. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful.I've already made plans to take my family to the establishment soon!"
"Had a fantastic dinner here while visiting Chicago. Great location. Plenty of shops, bars, and other places within walking distance. Came in for dinner with my friends. Inside is a little dim but stylish. Spacing is a bit tight. Food was delicious! The crispy shrimp deviled eggs and pork belly are great appetizers. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy inside, a nice sear on the outside. Can't go wrong with the au gratin potatoes. Cocktails were delicious too. We racked up that bill lol but it was worth it.Service was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Reservations definitely recommended but were easy to make on their website. There's street parking or garages within a block or two."

Old school restaurant with wood from the floor to ceiling. We ordered plain and pepperoni. Pizza pot pie presentation was very impressive. I enjoyed it more than the pizza. The pepperoni comes on the side. 3 pieces were the size of Taylor ham. Omar gave the pot pie a few swirls and popped on our plates. The salad was my favorite. Enough to feed 3-4 people. The staff was very attentive Make a reservation

Came for a "quick" bite of seafood!Interior is spacious with private party areas as well as bar and general dining. It wasn't too crowded for a weekday lunch so was able to get last minute reservations. Didn't know what to get so ordered the seafood combo with clam chowder and a burger. The $42 combo was small in relation to the size of the platter. Burger was juicy though fries were salty. The chowder was creamy and satisfying. Warm bread and butter provided at table. Be aware 3% surcharge.

Veggie taco standouts:Walking tacoPapas con rajasColiflorBig Star is the place for tacos on the patio during summer time Chi! There's three locations but I've only ever been to the Wicker Park one. I'll say it's worth sitting indoors for the walking taco. Served in a frito lay bag, topped with a spicy pinto bean dip, crema, salsa, queso chihuahua, onion and cilantro - a party in your mouth! My non-vegetarian friend had a shrimp taco as well that she enjoyed! Chips and salsa were as addicting as they are anywhere but nothing to rave about. A margarita pitcher is a must! Service was fine. Our waiter would walk away before we could finish a sentence but it didn't affect the orders that were brought out. He seemed a bit distracted but we weren't all that bothered. Food arrived quickly. Street parking is typically easy to find right across by Violet Hour. Right by Damen blue line stop if your taking CTA. Affordable, no fuss meal!

The food here is off the charts 09/10. I had the Chicago cut ribeye and it was juicy, flavorful and grilled to perfection. We ordered several sides, the fries, the sweet potatoes, the twice baked potato, and the spinach. The clam chowder I slurped out of the bowl. It was all over the top delicious and the portions were Fred Flintstone size. Our waiter was engaging, funny, and he paid close attention to our every need. The inside of the restaurant is a wee bit dated, but it's the place to be seen. It's where all the celebrities go or have gone the walls are littered with photos of celebrities who were there and their signature accompanied their photos.I will be back later this summer to try some of the other dishes, such as their burgers and lobster. If you're driving, get the valet parking it is 16.99 much cheaper than parking in one of the parking lots near the restaurant. If you're on a budget, this is not the place for you. Three of us ate dinner no desserts or drinks and our meal cost us $400.00 which included a tip.

I came here last night for a work dinner. We ordered a variety of dishes:-Grilled octopus (tough and very dry. Very sad because I usually enjoy this type of dish a lot. It needs a sauce on top.)-Mini seafood tower (no explanation needed, although they could have told us what the sauces were.)-Wagyu tataki (delicious)-Scallop (I didn't realize it was one single scallop. But it was delicious). -Kale salad and wedge salad (a bit too much dressing for me personally)-Cowboy (lovely sear and strong beef taste. Great recommendation by the waitress).-Various sides of mashes potatoes, broccolini (borderline bland until you eat the last piece), mushrooms, brussel sprouts-Ice cream (delicious)Overall, a great meal. I wish the music was a bit softer and lighting a bit brighter but overall the experience was great.

Amazing food, vibes, and service. What else could you ask for? I have been to Handlebar multiple times and things taste as food as when I first visited. There are various specials almost everyday. The vegan options are a hit and you can alter any item to become vegan as well. Drinks are good, there are even some experimental cocktail choices.

Have been here many times and always have the best experience. Service is always fantastic. The food is outstanding! Every time my dad is in town he requests we go here for dinner :) They also have valet out front which is nice and convenient in this part of town. The Baked Burrata Lasagna is what drew me in and had me pick Il Porcellino for my birthday dinner a few years ago. It was such a great experience we continued to come back again and again. Most recently I had the Ravioli Al Forno which was rich and delicious! It hit the spot and the crispy prosciutto on top was a fantastic and interesting touch! Can't recommend this spot enough if you're looking for comforting, yummy Italian food.Oh - and since they're a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, you can use your Lettuce app for points/rewards!

"We came in for an early dinner and we're seated right away. The waiter was quick to bring water and take our order. We had some miso soup, spicy edemame, and shumai for starters. I loved the wasabi shumai. They were different and had a really great flavor! The miso soup was piping hot. I almost burned my mouth multiple times. We had a couple salmon avocado rolls and half of a specialty roll. The sushi was really good! Everything was fresh! The rolls were packed well and didn't fall apart. I would come back to Umai! The food was really good! Definitely get the wasabi shumai!"
"This is in a nicer neighborhood full of high-end stores and has a great vibe. I was here with a large group and the food and service were middle of the road and hence the 3 star. Chicago typically has great food and perhaps my expectations were too high."
"My first time trying this restaurant. Our friends had suggested it for brunch. It's a beautiful casual place with indoor and outdoor patio seating. We sat outside for the weather is nice. The menu offers a variety of fusion Asian popular dishes. Our group decided to share a couple appetizers, the guacamole dip, doughnuts, kimchi hash, and sweet longanza. All were good, but we all decided the guacamole dip was the best. Kimchi hash was a bit dry and hardly tasted the kimchi. For mains we ordered the Mott burgers, salmon torta, kimchi fried rich, and shared coconut Pancakes. The burgers were delicious! I was surprised they had a spicy kick to them. The kimchi fried rich was delicious and the coconut Pancakes were a good dessert. The unique flavors in the hibiscus butter and syrup was good! We were all so full. The drinks we had were ok. I was disappointed with the lychee margarita. It just tasted like a regular margarita but they just added the lychee as garnish. I was hoping they would combine the flavors. I just ate the lychee to acquired the sweetness otherwise the marg is sour. Overall, this was a good place to try different varieties of Asian dishes."
"Went here for dinner with a friend. The restaurant is much bigger than you can tell from the street. They have an enclosed heated patio in the back area where which we sat. They give you as many orders of fresh chips and salsa as you wish. Salsa is kinda spicy, but I prefer it that way. We ordered Al pastor enchiladas which were very good and got the churros for dessert. There are cheaper Mexican restaurants in the area but this place isn't overpriced. Service was also very good and attentive. Will be visiting again."
"Was in Chicago for a conference and needed a quick bite to eat with my colleague. Broken English Taco Pub had a decent crowd on a Monday night. Service was great and we received our food extremely fast. It was so good that we forgot to take photos of the food. We had brisket and shrimp tacos and shared the chicharrones and guacamole appetizer. Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere, great service and great food and drinks. That's a win for me!"
"What a great meal in hip surroundings and high ceilings. This is the place for a special gathering, meal or date. Service was slow in the beginning though I liked our server. Started with warm bread with eye catching scalloped-shaped butterThe roasted Brussels sprouts are to die for!! Yes, I'm that jazzed about a vegetable! Glazed with something sweet, maybe honey? I ate more of them than my braised short rib or crab-stuffed shrimp. I do wish the whole shrimp shell would have been peeled off. Fish & chips - huge light pieces, excellent cole slaw, Thumbs up to the burger and steak fries. Enjoyed the live music although the noise level got quite loud. The front patio is chill with nautical vibes, set back from the street.Prices are reasonable for excellent quality at a nice restaurant. For $36 my Braised Beef, Shrimp and choice of side was a deal. Had leftovers. Absolutely would come again and save room for dessert on our next visit!"
"Dropped by before a show and they did a good job considering our time constraint. I loved checking out the caricatures on the walls!"
"Always a great experience at Nonnina. Right from the time you enter, the front manager Giovanni is always so friendly and welcoming. I tend to stop in impromptu during the week to enjoy the happy hour bites which go from 4p-6p weeknights. I'm so hooked on the grilled octopus and eggplant stack and truly appreciate Ubaldo's attentive bar service. The ambiance is charming in the main restaurant too - especially if you dine in the enclosed patio with the twinkle lights. During warmer months, el fresco is another great option being it's located in the River North Neighborhood. I happen to notice little details and love the beautiful Italian blue bread plates and side plates, I feel they elevate the experience. Kitchen staff does an amazing job to make unique dishes that are prepared quickly, even on a busy night. The staff hustles nonstop which can make you feel rushed but don't let that stop you from enjoying it at your own leisurely pace either. Yelp tip: Definitely do yourself a favor to ask for the fresh house made focaccia bread with EVOO & balsamic when you order your meal. They used to bring it to the table right away but now you will need to specifically ask for it. Makes sense though because you could easily fill up on it. Hello Carbs!!Portions sizes in general are adequate, and if I come with friends I prefer to share a few plates to get a nice variety of flavors. The tagliatelle pasta is made in house, and it's delicious so don't be bashful and the squid ink pasta is a wonderful choice too.Overall, Nonnina checks all the boxes! Just go:)"
"Been here several times. On this occasion came for Taco Tuesday specials. On Tuesdays they have $3 tacos (for the most part). Between us girls we ate about 4 tacos each. Unanimously agreed that Shrimp Taco with Strawberry Pico was thee favorite. We also enjoyed the Skirt Steak and the Fish Taco. Our night was very pleasant with Juan guiding us through the menu. Juan also was very good about telling us his favorite entrees. Three Yelp Elite ladies left very happy on Taco Tuesday. So nice to bond over food and hang with these girlfriends. Drinks: Passion Fruit Margarita with sugar room was my favorite. Gabby loved Lychee Margarita."
"I visited Honky Tonk for the first time a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it ended up being a great experience. We walked in and found the place semi empty. There were ample seating choices, so we opted to sit near the front of the restaurant. Our waitress, Brenda, came over immediately to greet us.We ordered drinks and food. I had the pulled pork sandwich and greens. It was delicious. My sister also had the pulled pork, but she also ordered a hot link. My brother had the rib tips and mac-n-cheese. We ordered a basket of corn bread muffins for the table. The food was delicious!! The mac-n-cheese was al dente, which was interesting. My brother loved it, but I didn't care for it. He also liked the corn muffins, but I didn't like those either. I like my corn bread on the sweet side. The muffins and mac-n-cheese weren't bad... they were just okay, in my opinion. The pulled pork and greens were fantastic. My brother loved the rib tips as well. The hot link was decent. It's not like a link you'd eat in the hood, though. It's tasted more like Eckrich smoked sausage to me. We also ordered a round of cocktails, which were really good. My brother had a sidecar, and I think my sister had a moonshine. I can't recall what I had, but it was good. They both liked their drinks, too.The ambiance was really nice, too. There was an R&B band singing and playing live instruments. They sounded great! Our waitress, Brenda, was awesome. She offered recommendations and was really chill. We thought she was cool. The bill was about $100 for the 3 of us, which is a little pricy but well worth it. I'll visit Honky Tonk again for sure.Update - I changed my initial five star rating to four stars. I visited Honky Tonk again last night and the experience was lackluster. I had the pulled pork and greens again, but it wasn't as good as my first experience. The pork had a lot of gristle which was disgusting and the greens tasted bitter. The service was still good though and there was a great band (Anna Maze) playing. I was with three friends and they also didn't think the food was very good. The drinks made up for it though. Not sure if it was an off night or if this place is hit or miss all the time."
"Love this Indian place. They have a big menu and a lunch special menu. I ordered the lunch special. It is so worth it. You get a huge portion. I ordered the Chicken Rice Bowl it comes with chicken makhani, chicken tikka masala, chana masala and salad on a bed of basmati rice. It comes with a side of Naan, plain and garlic. Their Naan is so tasty! Also ordered a cocktail. I ordered the Indian Mule. They don't mess around. They are served in a big glass and it has lots of alcohol. Well worth it as well. Highly recommend!"
"We made reservations at this restaurant for about 30 people. It was awesome because we were able to enjoy a great meal, each other's company, and had no problems splitting the bill. They were able to split the bill between us all and processed all of our credit cards individually (Google wallet tap and apple pay too). The appetizers alone were amazing and we ate every bite. We were so full by the time the main entree came that I had to take most of it home. Here's what we got and my thoughts on them. Appetizers:*Carnitas nachos - the chips were amazing. I think they were made in house they were crispy and delicious with the most delicious nacho cheese. *Hummus - the bread alone was so delicious and you add that hummus and it was *chef kiss. * babaganoush - it was better than I thought it would be. I actually ate some. Not my favorite appetizer but I still thought it was pretty good.Entrees:*Marq burger - didn't get to try but my friend enjoyed it.* fish N chips - didn't get to try but half our group got it and they seemed to enjoy it.* carnitas tacos - I didn't enjoy it as much as the nachos because it had no cheese, but it was pretty good. It came with pickled red onions and jalapenos. *southwest salad with pulled chicken - delicious. My friend gave me some and I ate it all. Refreshing and has these little chips in there. Desert: *Cannoli - wasn't my thing. It wasn't sweet and it had pistachios on it.* chocolate mousse shooters - it was pretty good. Soft and gooey when you use the spoon it came with but not soft enough to use a straw with (yes, we tried). If you like chocolate you will like this. We found out the best way to eat it is to mix and then down it like a real shot.Overall, the place was cozy with nice servers and good food. Would definitely come back. Thanks!"
"Sheffield's is a great spot during patio season! There are tons of picnic tables and lights are strung above. On the weekends (or cubs games) it's usually packed. There are no reservations, it's first come first serve to the tables. There's standing room as well, and we usually end up standing with a drink before a table opens up. While Sheffield's is usually pretty loud and bustling, I love it. I appreciate that they have about 8 ciders on their drink menu and unique flavors, too. I got a passion fruit cider, they also had pineapple and strawberry lime. Sheffield's also has a surprising amount of vegetarian options - especially for an American bar type of restaurant. The fried green tomato sliders are my favorite (2 come per order). It comes with a tangy balsamic dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the goat cheese and tomato. They also have nachos, veggie chili, salads, and a veggie burger. I ordered the veggie burger. The patty was slightly pink from the beets and it was overall very solid."
"Food was good. Nothing outstanding. The margaritas are in a super small martini glass. I think I finished mine in 2 sips... barely 2 gulps. Great outdoor seating space."
"My boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner here before a show the other night. It's a great space that's kind of hidden away. Service was friendly and attentive and they gave good recommendations. The wine selections were lovely. My boyfriend really liked his cocktail. We loved the harissa carrots, and the mussels were tasty. I thought the lamb ribs were a little too sweet, but they were cooked beautifully and it was a nice big serving. He loved the Bolognese. We'd come back for sure. Seems like they do some really nice things for groups from what we saw. I look forward to a cozy winter dinner inside sometime."
"One of the great things about Chicago is the abundance of amazing places to eat. There is never a shortage of delicious food all around town and the variations of how so many cuisines are presented. Recently, I dined at El Mariachi Tequila Bar and Grill and well, let me tell you how that all went....We were warmly greeted and shortly thereafter, seated to a table that provided optimal views of the restaurants beautiful interior. It was warm, cozy and spacious inside with decor that made you feel like you were eating in a quaint villa in Mexico. Next up was the amazing food... here's a rundown of what we enjoyed:Tableside guacamole: Made to order and to your tastes! Fresh avocados are gently crushed with ingredients such as onion, jalapeno, tomato, salt, freshly squeezed lime juice and cilantro. Simply and so delicious with their housemade tortilla chips!Weekly Special Citrus Shrimp: This refreshing appetizer was the creation of their executive chef which consists of rock shrimp, spicy poblano guacamole all set atop a thinly sliced orange segment. Strikingly beautiful yet packed with some heat!Ceviche de Camaron: This shrimp ceviche is not your typical version! Shrimp is marinated in sweet passion fruit and citrus juices and tossed with Peruvian corn, red onion and aji amarillo pepper. The additional crisp tortilla chips made for a perfect way to scoop this in your mouth...Margarita Yucateca: And what would this delicious Mexican dinner be without a proper margarita?! This colorful libation involves hibiscus infused Cabo Wabo tequila, blood orange, triple sec, habanera simple syrup and agave nectar... olé!Carne Asada Costena: A grilled skirt steak is marimated over night and served with specialty sauteed and seasoned cream shrimp (shrimp not shown) and served with cilantro lime rice and black beans. It was wonderful and such a great twist on a surf and turf dish!Salmon a la Veracruzana; An 8oz salmon filet is wrapped in banana leaves and served over a tomato caper Veracruzana salsa, accompanied by cilantro lime rice and caramelized plantains.Pollo Relleno; A breaded chicken roulade stuffed with chorizo, sweet corn, poblano, asafetida cheese... served over creamy tomatillo salsa, really asked garlic cheese potatoes and ancho green beans. This had to be my favorite dish of the night next to the chips and freshly made guacamole!Chipotle Ribeye: A well seasoned boneless ribeye toppde with mushrooms, creamy tomatillo salsa all served with roasted garlic cheese potatoes and ancho green beans. Another unique twist on steak and potatoes. And finally it was time for dessert! We were presented with a beautiful platter of three desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flourless cake and flan. All were made in house and they were fantastic! After an outstanding meal, we stepped outside to their back patio... and wow. It was an awesome space perfect for outdoor dining. During the day, you can take in all the exposed brick, wide open season and beautifully paved patio. By night, you can enjoy the twinkling lights, soft glow of the lanterns and the beautiful and romantic ambiance."
"Settled here for after dinner cocktail with friends. We opted to hang out on the rooftop patio. The vibe on the patio was really chill. The drink menu in the patio is different than the rest of the restaurant. Ultimately I got the FEELIN' CUTEstrawberry vodka, pama, sparkling lemonade & lemon. The drink was good but not strong. We decided to share an appetizer. ELOTE DIP contained chihuahua cheese, corn, pico de gallo, jalapeños and cream cheese, served with chips. The Elote dip was good and salty. It paired well with my cocktail. To finish off our night we shared a cookie skillet. The cookie was soft and goey. A nice night was had. I took off a star because our waitress was pushy, didn't wanna go downstairs to grab a cider for my friend and then pushed the 22% tip button on the toast automated machine."
"Are freeloaders who only came to Chicago's Time Out Market as respite from the cold allowed to review the food hall? We had just come from having lunch & dessert elsewhere & checking out the surrounding Fulton Market District, so although we took a couple laps to browse their 20 eateries, nothing tempted us to make a purchase. I thought about holding off on reviewing until I've actually tried their offerings, but I have no immediate plans to return to ChiTown, let alone their Time Out Market. The first floor has cafeteria-style seating, the second floor has comfortable lounge seating that overlooks the first floor. If I'm remembering correctly, there are outlets nearby. Prime spot for people watching & catching up with friends all while charging your phone battery. #freeloaders Modern building with a gorgeous skylight. Bathrooms are clean but dimly-lit. Touching mural celebrating the late Virgil Abloh. Cozy shelter from 40° weather. Oh, and I hear they serve a variety of food here, too."
"Who doesn't love a good dueling piano night. I came here because they were supposed to be doing a 2000's night. Well that sort of didn't happen. Of course there was some old foggies in there requesting Margaritaville. No hate but I was really pumped for the 2000's tunes. I understand the musicians got to make their money...so it's all good. I did get to hear a rendition of Umbrella by Rihanna and they did a good job. I didn't reserve a table and will do that in the future. We were able to find a non-reserved table in the back. Not the best of views but we could see the band. However, the sound projected forward so sometimes hard to hear the lyrics of the songs. Overall the musicians were talented but I didn't really hear anything that blew me away. I would would love to come back and see how they handle rap and hip-hop. Most songs were pop and golden oldies (60's, 70s and 80s). On this occasion they did have shot specials and other happy hour deals. We tried the jello shots and they were good and strong (surprisingly). This is definitely a fun vibe so check it out when you wanna try something new!!!"
"Might be my favorite place to work on my laptop, grab a nosh, and have a glass of wine. Service is always kind."
"Came for Mother's Day. staff are amazing. I had the chicken crispy skin and moist meat. Nice crispy spetzel. The burgers were huge. Loved the cocktails."
"On my first night in Chicago, I went to check out Lonesome Rose, a restaurant I'd heard a lot about.Upon walking in, it's so cute and fun vibes only. The staff there were all super courteous and my server Bella was amazing from beginning to end, constantly checking in on me and other tables to see if anything else was needed.Started off with the guava mezcal margarita, which was so good. Not too sweet and gave me a nice little buzz. I wanted tacos so got Sal's carne asada and the fried chicken. I was also given a side of pickled onions which complimented both tacos perfectly. The carne asada had loads of good flavor, meat was nice and tender. The fried chicken had pimento cheese, hot sauce, and pickled jalapenos. A flavor bomb, in a good way! I also ordered the chicken empanadas, which was my favorite out of the 3 dishes. Fried to perfection, lots of ingredients inside from chicken to corn to beans, and the green salsa that accompanied it was the icing on top.For dessert, Bella helped me decide on the horchata soft serve and recommended her addition of crushed peanut butter pretzels. First, the soft serve is a huge portion, I could barely make a dent in it, even though I wanted to eat the whole bowl if I could. I loved the addition of the PB pretzels because I am a sweet and savory kinda gal. I truly wish we had a dessert like this near home because I am craving this now!Highly recommend this restaurant that also has a very cute rooftop dining area, bar with karaoke, and outdoor seating as well. Service was impeccable by Bella and the food and drink prices are super reasonable for the quality you get!"
