The Corner

The Corner has been on my list of places to try for over a year, mainly so I could try the Huevos Rancheros, and I finally had the opportunity to try it recently with one of my daughters. It was a bustling yet comfortable little restaurant, split into two separate rooms. My daughter and I sat on the side with the grill, which had extra windows since it's on "The Corner" and some nice green plants that brightened things up a little more. The Huevos Rancheros didn't disappoint - I ordered mine with the coffee rubbed short rib. It really was good and it was cooked perfectly. The crispy potatoes were so good and actually crispy, unlike most other places that just have a little crisp to them. I adore home fries, and they can be hard to cook just right, so I really enjoyed these.The service was great and the waitress was so friendly. Oh, and there was an earthquake while we were there - and my daughter was the only one who even felt it LOL Overall, it was a yummy and fun visit. I'm glad I finally got to try it out, and I will definitely go again sometime.

The food and service were good. Tasty, good portions. Although the restaurant itself could use some TLC. For the price of the brunch I wouldn't expect to see so much random water damaged pop tile ceiling. Kinda makes the room looks groady.

Service was great, very friendly ! Not a big space but wasn't crowded then so was okay. Honestly the pancakes were pretty bad, I don't think I've ever had a pancake so bad actually, I was surprised. Very dry, dense and tough. I don't know if the batter was over mixed or something but it was really bad...even maple syrup can't save it :( $12 for two decently sized pancakes but doesn't come with any side

I got a scrapple, egg and cheese sandwich. I went to the corner because I saw they serve their breakfast sandwiches on Brioche rolls. I was surprised to learn that I don't like brioche rolls as much as I thought I did. Good sandwich. Nice young woman waited on me. Sunday morning most places open at 8 am. 8:05 am, empty. 8:15 am, three quarters full.

Good food, good service, cozy corner spot in Media. Ordered the Ribeye Omelette, side of bacon and side of avocado. Wife enjoyed her Huevos Rancheros, both meals were good, in and out, no wait on a Saturday morning.

7 years after my last review of them, and let me take the opportunity to upgrade them for two reasons. One, the food merits it. My wife raved about the Huevos Rancheros. I raved about the smoked pork omelette which had a real nice smoke to the meat. And my boy loved the chocolate chip pancake. I must say that pancake deserves special mention. It comes off the grill with the perfect balance of crispness and fluffiness. Second, the staff has an attitude, and I mean that in the best way. Genuinely friendly and a little sarcastic. Perfect for Delco.

Really small but cute place. Service was great and quick. I wouldn't exactly rave about the food but it was good. Pumpkin pancakes were really good, I would recommend. Omelet, was average, maybe I just need to get a different one next time. It seems to be a favorite in other reviews. Eggs were perfectly cooked though, I'll give them that.

Two giant pancakes, very good and the home fries were delicious, very crispy. The chocolate milk was also pretty good.

First time trying this spot for breakfast today with my wife. We both think this may be the best breakfast around. We sat outside and enjoyed the bistro feel of the restaurant and each ordered different omelettes that may have been the best we ever had. From a simple good cup of coffee to unique omelettes and friendly service we will back soon.

I wanted to update a three-star review I left a couple of years ago. I've returned several times to The Corner since then, and have had a far more enjoyable experience. They're still a little pricey, but I feel like I am getting a lot for my money lately. Omelettes and potatoes are a breakfast staple in the cafe/diner/lunch counter world, but they are delivered to a higher level at The Corner. The dining area has expanded, and is so pleasant! Service has been great! Nice to see a Media Icon return to top-notch form.
