Kristen H. "Ordered takeout from here tonight and had it delivered. We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour which was understandable because of the snow and it did end up taking an hour. I hear from people who have ordered from here before that it usually takes less than 20 minutes to be delivered though! The food was good - I ordered a general tso's dinner box and it came with pork fried rice, an egg roll, and a large portion of the general tso's chicken. Large portions and tasty but the rice lacked some flavor. Other people in my group got sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli which also looked good. Prices were reasonable as the dinner box only costs $9.75. Overall a great meal for a day snowed in!"

Chow Fun in gravy with Chinese kale and tofu 2. Tang Tang wings, no rice and extra spice (mop up the sauce with broccoli)3. Kroeng stir fry with anything 4. Singapore Mei Fun with shrimpI don't really drink but there's a ton of beers in the case behind the counter including Evil Genius."

We stopped here on a random Thursday night before picking our daughter up from martial arts practice and were seated right away. We ordered the shrimp vermicelli and the chicken pad Thai with some spring rolls. Like I said, always consistently good. The lights were a lot dimmer and then normal so it was hard to read the menu but also I probably need glasses. No seriously. I think I need glasses. Can anybody suggest a good eye doctor in the area? Gerald S. "Sitting back off Bethlehem Pike a block from the top of Chestnut Hill @ Germantown Avenue, Thai Kuu is a small attractive Asian dining room. Buddhas and elephants adorn the walls and menus giving a serene atmosphere that augurs well for the meal to come. This establishment offers weekend lunch at a reasonable price, and I was there to check it out. Many similar houses eliminate the midday meal discount on weekends, and I appreciated that this one kept it in play. I saw what I wanted and ordered Tom Ka Soup and Spicy Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles). Service was provided by a gentleman I took to be an owner/manager. While efficient and cool, he also had an officiousness that was subtly off-putting. Maybe he objected to my black hoodie or my dining solo, but I wasn't going to allow his silent judgment interfere with my enjoyment. The food, on the other hand, could impact my take on the experience. At the end of my meal, that opinion was less than my first impressions. The Tom Ka was pretty good with strong coconut flavor, a hint of lemongrass and fair amount of string bean, carrot, mushroom and broccoli. I lifted the square bowl to my lips to suck it all in. I anticipated the Pad Kee Mao would be hot and spicy from a chili pepper base sauce, and from the word "spicy" in the name on the menu. Not the case. Instead, the word was used to label the sweetness of the middle width noodles and brown sauce, not its heat. An exceedingly small portion, its lack of traditional burn was disappointing; pointing to the conclusion that Thai Kuu was far more an Asian fusion kitchen than anything close to vibrant Siam fire. It was all okay, but could have been so much more had they the courage of their culinary convictions."

Andrea R. "Needing a break from the typical campus eats, I suggested a business lunch at Pattaya. I really enjoyed the ambiance, proximity to Penn's campus, and the varied menu items at Pattaya. I was a little bummed that there were no lunch specials, and I was super sad that the only beverages they offered were canned or bottled - I was seeking a fresh Thai iced tea! However, the Panang Curry was to die for - I had no issue slurping the entirety of my meal. My colleagues ordered different noodle dishes, and the portions were huge! We shared an order of the Golden Triangles, which were okay - unremarkable, but tofu often is (sorry!!) We were all very happy with our main entrees, and I was the only one who didn't have an entire meal's worth of leftovers...a good value! Service was friendly and quick making for a nice dine-in experience."

Very nice crunch to the shell wrapped around the shrimp. (5/5)Thai Iced Coffee - (4/5)Bangkok Fried Rice - Pineapple fried rice with shrimp, egg, mixed vegetables and cashew nuts. (5/5)Tango Shrimp - Shrimp, onion and bell peppers in a savory garlic sauce. Level 2 heat (5/5)The service was A1 as well. The place was packed and I knew the next time I was in the area I had to check it out. And that's just what I did. As soon as I walked in I felt warm and like I was in for a great experience. The ambiance is inviting and beautiful, I almost thought I was in an art museum. The lighting is just right. There's plenty of space and seating top to bottom. Friendly staff. And who doesn't appreciate a well kept restaurant, it was spotless including the rest room. The food is spot on. Best green curry in town. Best tom yum soup. Pad Thai spot on. One thing I've always appreciated with Thai food in general is that it's well seasoned. All the flavors came together well. I didn't feel like anything was missing from any of the dishes. Each dish hit the right notes. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here really. Especially since you can request your level of spice. One thing to remember here is there's a 3% card processing fee applied when paying by card. Which some restaurants have started to do these days. If that doesn't bother you fine, if it does, make sure you bring plenty of cash to avoid the extra charge.Chatayee is a must visit and multiple follow up visits."

I've been coming to Jeenwong's for about 10 years now - so I have eaten majority of the items on the menu. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had! Her Tom Yum soup changed my life! I use to order this soup once a week! The flavor has remained the same through the years, but the vegetables they put into it has changed. The Pad Thai is top notch! Pad kar Prow is also an excellent dish! I could go on and on about the many items on the menu that are incredible! Here are some things to keep in mind if you're planning on going. First, they accept only cash. There is an ATM machine on the premises. Second, during lunchtime, parking in the Riverfront parking lot can be difficult. Don't fret because across the street is free additional parking. Third, call in advance if you are going to order from the menu. They are on the slow side when cooking your dish. They do offer prepared items that are kept in heated trays for people who are looking to grab and go during lunch."

I wanted shrimp. She said fried or spicy? I wanted noodles. She said lo mein or mei fun? And last we topped it off with veggies. I wound up with a very nice dish of thin noodles, spicy shrimp, broccoli, cabbage and bell peppers.I was very, very happy with my dish. They come with fried rice, vegetable tempura, California roll (4 pieces), and 2 fried dumplings. The fried items were done well - they were crispy but not overly battered or fried. The Thai basil bentos were a nice flavor change from the typical teriyaki bentos. The steak hibachi came with grilled veggies and fried rice. Steak was cooked well and good. Service was great. This is the soup standard by which I judge all others at every other Thai restaurant. My favorite dish is the Roasted Duck with Pineapple. Recently I was in for their Lunch Special, which was a first for me. It turns out they have an excellent special with good pricing, and dishes that come with soup and rice. We also added a Papaya Salad, asking for it not too spicy. It was a wonderful lunch, and I'll have to remember to get over for that again! With the number of shops still open, I recommend giving them your business.I really had no clue what I wanted and was very happy with the conversation in guiding me to options. Ordered the Thai Iced Tea for drinks which was great. It was sweet but not overly sweet like that drink tends to be.For entrees, we got the Massaman Curry with Chicken, Beef Pad Thai, and Beef Pad See Ew. All were really good. I think the Massaman Curry was definitely the best dish out of the three we got. All of them were portioned pretty well and were tasty.Just some minor service hiccups though. We actually ordered the Shrimp Pad See Ew, we received the Beef one instead. The person who ordered it ate it halfway before bringing that fact up so we decided to just leave it as is. They did charge us for the Shrimp one in the bill but they did change it to the Beef one when we brought it to our server's attention. We needed more rice to go with the Massaman Curry as it ran out pretty quickly, they might want to consider putting more rice with their curry dishes. We also had a little trouble getting the server's attention to get more rice; even though there was only one other table seated at the time. Minor hiccups aside, it was a good place to eat and I would come back."
