We came here from York, PA and had to wait a bit for owner to arrive from getting supplies. She took out order of chicken pad Thai and dumplings. She cooked everything fresh and it was so well made, loved it!!! This kiosks is located with in the market and off to the side are tables. The owner of jeenwong is a very nice lady she came over to check on us if the food was great which it was amazing!! She also gave us complimentary granola bar. Can't wait to eat there again!

Been coming here for decades since my mother brought me as a small child when they were originally in booths corner farmers market. The egg rolls are legendary, like nothing you will ever try. Their lunch specials run from 11:30-1:00 on the weekdays and most of the food is excellent. All of their curry is very good, and their coconut broth soup is a personal favorite.

I would never expect to have such authentic and delicious Thai food in a small marketplace in Wilmington, DE!! I was on a road trip with my family and was starving when we arrived to the downtown business district. It was around 2:30pm and almost every other restaurants are not open until dinner time or closed for the rest of the day. The only spot I found opened was the Riverfront Marketplace, so my family and I headed over to see what food it has.Since it was a weekend, the marketplace was fairly deserted and we were the one of the 2 groups of customers at the premises. I was walking around deciding what food I should get, then I heard my mom calling me from the distance, and that's when I saw Jeenwong's Thai Cuisine.Jeen greeted us passionately when we approached the counter of the store. She mentioned everything will be made to order (yes, to guarantee freshness!) and the wait time is approximately 10 minutes. We ordered the seafood fried rice, along with a chicken pad thai to share. Jeen then proceed to gather all the fresh ingredients in the kitchen, and started preparing our food while I stood by the counter to watch. Watching her preparing our food and cooking in the kitchen made me so hungry! I was beyond excited when she brought out the finished products, it smelled amazing. We brought the food to an empty table and started eating. The seafood fried rice is probably one of the best Thai fried rice I've ever had! It was steaming hot and stir fried at the right heat temperature and the flavor was wonderfully bursting in my mouth! It was filled with chunks and chunks of crab meat (mind you, not the imitation ones) and shrimps in every bite. The pad thai was also delicious, but that fried rice was the star of all the dishes! It was so good that we all decided to encore and order a second plate shortly after we devoured our first one. While we were feasting on our food, Jeen took the time to visit us at our table and brought extra sauce and utensils for us! Mind you, we are dining in a food court setting marketplace and Jeen absolutely do not have to come serve us by any means! We are grateful for her kind gesture and services and thanked her many times for making such delicious Thai food. We left the Riverfront Marketplace stuffed and satisfied - it was an unexpectedly great meal and I really envy whoever works and lives near Jeen's restaurant.

Well, it's 6 years later and I am pleased that Jeenwong is still there - and my egg noodles with shrimp ($8.95) came with 6 BIG shrimp and lots of brocoli and carrots. A little on the greasy side and not spicy at all (I am a wimp so that's fine by me - if you want spicy don;t get this one - or ask them to make it spicier which they will do.)So pleased to have Thai within a short distance of my work.

I gave this place a go a second time, and I was very pleased. The first time (below) was a huge disappointment, but this time I came at 11:30...just in time for lunch. I ordered their lunch special (chicken with curry, fish with some spicy sauce, and pork fried rice). What I really liked was the server was very selective when she scooped the food out of the tray, as she made sure she gave me a bit of everything. The curry sauce won me over instantly as that was the first thing I tried. It has to be by far one of the best curry sauces I have ever had -- twas rich in flavor and aroma, and it wasn't watery or gloppy. It had a good balance. Everything else was delicious.I had the Tom Yum Soup (with chicken) to go. The soup was delicious but I wish they had placed some more edible ingredients in their (the chopped lemongrass in the soup was not edible). And they gave about 3-4 pieces of white meat chicken, which dried out as the soup probably absorbed much of the flavor from it. For 5.95, I expected more, but it did taste good.minus one star for inconsistency.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now onto the Pad Thai with Chicken I had. From the reviews i read on multiple websites, i was very excited to try their food. And i will attest to some facts like their food is fresh...unfortunately, i do not think my dish was made to order because my food was room temperature when i got it. That was a no no for me as today's temperature with the wind-chill was well below 25. In addition, I requested the dish to be spicy, but it had come out to be very bland with almost no taste at all. The "sides" I was given was a small container of peanuts that was grounded up into a sand-like texture, which was not enough. And the spicy sauce just wasn't spicy. It was sweet. Lastly, it was a bit pricey..10.50 for the dishOn the upside, the chicken they served was tender and moist...but room-temp. The noodles were warm as well. Perhaps i came a bit late into the day (3pm) when they were preparing to close up shop.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant! I love the fabulous cuisine that Jeenwong creates from her kitchen that is located inside Wilmington's Riverfront Market. I've been coming to Jeenwong's for about 10 years now - so I have eaten majority of the items on the menu. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had! Her Tom Yum soup changed my life! I use to order this soup once a week! The flavor has remained the same through the years, but the vegetables they put into it has changed. The Pad Thai is top notch! Pad kar Prow is also an excellent dish! I could go on and on about the many items on the menu that are incredible! Here are some things to keep in mind if you're planning on going. First, they accept only cash. There is an ATM machine on the premises. Second, during lunchtime, parking in the Riverfront parking lot can be difficult. Don't fret because across the street is free additional parking. Third, call in advance if you are going to order from the menu. They are on the slow side when cooking your dish. They do offer prepared items that are kept in heated trays for people who are looking to grab and go during lunch.

FYI - parking can be tricky at the Riverfront Market during lunchtime. It's worth the hassle though. Jeenwong Thai has a great lunch special - 2 entrees and either fried rice or noodles for only $6.95! I wasn't sure what to expect, but to my pleasant surprise, the food was high quality and tasted delicious. The portions were also very generous. I had the fried rice with a chicken/shrimp/cashew stir fry and green curry with pork. I also had a pineapple iced tea, which was a little too sweet. It tasted mostly like pineapple juice. All in all, a satisfying experience! The market has a lot of other great offerings as well.FYI - cash ONLY!

Jeenwong is in the riverfront market. The dining area is shared by all the restaurants in the market. It does have a decent amount of room to hold all the restaurants there and has outside seating.Jeenwong has lunch specials til 1:00 PM which is 2 main dishes with either noodles or rice for $7.95. All the main dishes included can be seen in the front case. I went with the curry chicken, dumplings and fried rice. It was a decent meal the dumplings were pretty ordinary but the curry was good and flavorful. Not a bad lunch spot for this area as there is not a lot close by.

Fantastic first taste, and that was from their premade lunch deal selection. Really great flavor and portion size makes this an excellent lunch time value.Update: Egg rolls and Tom Yum soup were really great, the soup was delicious even after reheating. The Pad Thai could have been better. Although the noodles were done to perfection the chicken was tough and ill portioned. The veg and other diversities were likewise lacking, it was a heap of tasty noodles, but not much more.
