Second time going to Spasso and I was not disappointed. The first visit was okay, noting remarkable but the food was really good. This time I came as part of a large group to celebrate an engagement. Our server, Zach, was very attentive even though we were in a side room. He also got all of our orders correct (even with multiple substitutions and changes) and he was also great at the end when we needed our celebration cake prepared and cut. The drinks and food were great as well. I was a bit bummed that the pasta dish I wanted didn't come with vodka sauce which is my favorite, but I was able to easily switch it out! The whole table was very impressed with the food and service and said we'd be back to try the weekend brunch special.

We came here for dinner one night. The atmosphere is very nice. We sat outside, they have two outside areas to sit in that are really nice. We want to come back for drinks and check out the other outdoor beer garden area. My son and husband ordered the pizzas... margarita and peperoni. The pizza is delicious! I ordered a pasta dish and it was really good. They make the pasta fresh there. I got the eggplant appetizer, it wasn't my favorite but we had the little cheese and rice balls (I forgot what they are called) and it was so yummy. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner with the family or date night.

We had a large family get together and we were accommodated without any issues. Pizza was similar to our favorite New Haven style. Very good service and atmosphere.

My husband and I decided to have a day date and have lunch in Media, PA and stopped by Spasso. It was lunch hour on a Monday, and it was not crowded. We were greeted by our server Sarah and immediately seated in the dining room facing Jackson Street. As you enter the establishment, you are greeted by a polished bar and beautiful brick oven. The dining room was equipped with stained hardwood floors and plenty of natural light making for a pleasant atmosphere and ambiance. We shared the following appetizers: (1) Grilled Octopus, (2) Grilled Calamari, (3) Gamberetti (Rock Shrimp with Cannelini Beans in a broth), and (4) Aracini (Fried Rice Balls). My husband and I agreed that the Grilled Octopus was our favorite of the four because, in addition to tasting great, it was cooked to perfection (not chewy nor heavily charred). Next, the Gamberetti was not what we expected as it was essentially a soup, but it tasted great and the seafood broth was enhanced by the garlic saltiness. Our third ranking was the Arancini which was seasoned well and fried but just okay. Sadly, our least favorite was the Grilled Calamari as it was heavily charred (bitter) and overcooked (chewy). For lunch my husband enjoyed the Veal Saltimbocca, and I had the Chicken Fontinella. My husband thought the Veal was cooked perfectly considering it was thinly sliced (think Thanksgiving turkey breast). It was smothered in mozzarella cheese and prosciutto with a demi glaze sauce and served atop grilled veggies including spinach, onions, bell peppers and carrots. He cited while enjoying the meal that a side of either angel hair or linguine pasta would've made the dish a perfect 10/10.I thought that the Fontinella was fine and very cheesy (fontina), though I added grated parmesan on top too. Also served on grilled veggies including bell peppers, carrots, onions, and asparagus with a tomato sauce, the dish was quite tasty. I also believed that the only thing that would've made it perfect was if it was served with pasta. Our server, Sarah, was welcoming, informative, and fairly attentive throughout our dining experience. We opted out of adult beverages but were impressed by the decent wine lists. We agree that we will stop by again for dinner service, and maybe next spring/summer, check out their Beer Garden.

Solid Italian menu but be prepared for the noise. It's generally a loud restaurant. Add children...and well, there you go. For the food, solid Italian. Not extra, not fancy. Highly recommend the arancini. The calamari was good but did not have nearly enough dipping sauce. The chicken parmigiana was MASSIVE and covered in sauce. The bucatini alla Sicilia was so flavorful and cooked perfectly al dente (also bucatini is the best). The wood oven pizza was amazingly thin and completely covered in prosciutto and a massive ball of burrata. To wrap up the meal the flourless chocolate tort was absolutely amazing.

I love Spasso's but today was bad. I ordered the Shirley Temple as a drink, and I've definitely had better. Then I ordered the Penne Spasso. It was HORRIBLE. I love all their pastas, but I just couldn't eat it. It tasted how rubber smells. They took it back thankfully, and let me order something else. All our food arrived quickly. I ordered the Penne with Marinara Sauce. I really enjoyed it. Service was fast and nice, and I always enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant. I would come back, but order something else.

Special Wednesday addition of drinks and food with Amigo Dan. We got the pizza and this was our best stop of the day. Well, until a group of 18ish came into an empty barroom and stood right behind us. I don't know what was on the pizza. We asked for their best pizza and this is what we got. All the pieces, dough, toppings and sauce, were great individually and together. Bartender was polite and professional.

We took my boyfriend's mother out for a late lunch today. She lives in the Media area, so I did some research online before deciding on Spasso's. Food: overall, excellent. I like that they bring you fresh Italian bread before you order, but the tiny little butters wrapped in gold foil have got to go! They also brought oil to dip the bread in, but it didn't taste good. My boyfriend got the mussels in red sauce for an app. The sauce was sooooo good! We were dipping the bread in it. For our meal, we ordered 3 pizzas: 2 Margherita and 1 mushroom. These pizzas were some of the best we have ever had! The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were sooo fresh and delicious. We are pizza snobs, so this was a big deal for us. We loved the pizza so much that we actually ordered another Marg to take home with us! Service: overall, good. Our waiter wasn't very pleasant, but he was attentive and got our order correct. Everything came out fast, hot, and fresh. That's important. Ambiance: overall, good. The place was empty when we got there, as it was an off-time. We got to choose our seat. My boyfriend said the chairs were very uncomfortable. His mom and I sat against the wall on more of a booth, which was fine. The place itself is really cute and simple. It wasn't very cold in there because they were in the process of getting their air conditioning system replaced. There was somewhat of a funky smell too, but it wasn't overbearing. The room temp was tolerable. Conclusion: we would def go back for the pizza. It's in our top 5 now!
