We arrived to a quiet ambiance this Sunday, very excited to try our brunch. It smelled absolutely delicious in there and is really cutely decorated. There were a few tables outside, but it was too chilly for us to request one today. We were one of only two tables filled which was so surprising giving how great the food turned out. They had plenty of seating inside and it didn't seem like it would be cramped had it been busy. Our waiter took a lot of time explaining the menu which was really helpful since it was our first visit. It seemed like they had a ton on the menu homemade in house, including their pasta, sausage gravy, and mocktails. All three of us at the table enjoyed what they had immensely. Between the three of us we had the breakfast platter, chicken and waffles, and the lemon ricotta pancakes. As I said before everything was so tasty. The chicken and waffles were a great mix of sweet, spicy, and salty. They had an awesome crunch and great seasoned breading. I also really enjoyed the spicy syrup. The pancakes were so sweet, but not overbearingly thanks to the lemon. The raspberry on top gave it the perfect balance as well. Finally, the sausage gravy on the toast was awesome. (It was definitely italian spices psa) The mock-tail I tried was really good as well. My partner enjoyed the experience and taste of the french press he was served. As for timing, the food came out in a really great time, I'm sure it's a little slower on busier days, but they do work quickly! We definitely want to come back soon and recommend you go visit asap :)

We met friends at Rye BYOB for a casual brunch, and we had a great time! We easily made reservations for our group of 4 for a Sunday morning. Coming from the city, the drive was pretty easy and street parking was no issue. The space is fairly large and very modern inside - quite clean decor. We appreciated that our server didn't rush us; we had a lot of catching up to do, so it took us a while to actually decide on our meals, but she never rushed us at all. The brunch menu is succinct, but there was a great variety of options to chose from. I opted for the lemon ricotta pancakes with berry compote. I've had a lot of ricotta pancakes, but these were unlike anything I've had before. They were quite crispy on the exterior, but the interior was fluffy as I would expect with the ricotta addition. The lemon was tart enough but nicely balanced with the sweet from the berry. When I saw the stack, I wasn't sure if I could tackle the whole thing, but they were so delish that it was no large feat at all. Certainly one of my favorite takes on ricotta pancakes! My husband opted for the chicken and waffles, which he also enjoyed, particularly the hint of spice from the jalapeno syrup. Our friends got the same dishes as us, also sharing the same sentiments that we did. As we continued to catch up while eating, we again appreciated that we were never rushed by our server and felt welcome the whole time (we were there for nearly 3 hours, lol). The portions for both of us were generous but not overwhelming, and for the price point, it truly was a great deal. While we don't travel to the burbs for restaurants super often, I would be interested to try Rye BYOB's dinner menu in the future. Rye was a great spot to meet up with friends, and I would definitely suggest it to anyone in the Media area!

The best take out in town. We love to visit in person but we also have a great at home experience. Packaging is neat. I appreciate that. Thanks Rye!

Rye is relatively new, so my family and I went to check it out the other day. First, the service... Our server was very sweet and answered all of our questions about the menu. The manager was also extremely friendly. He answered questions about the dishes, gave us a little background on the restaurant, and chatted it up with us lol!Now the food... Everything was delicious, but I'm just going to highlight some table favorites:To start, please do yourself a favor and get the milk buns!! I know we're used to just being served bread automatically at restaurants, however, this is not just any bread. These are brioche buns baked with sea salt and butter, and they are to die for! The roasted 1/2 chicken was another table favorite. The chicken itself was very moist, and the skin had a beautiful crust that paired well with the hummus. As for dessert; both were perfect. However, our favorite was the chocolate rye cake! The base of the cake was rich and chocolatey and the sorbet gave it a smooth taste! Overall, it was a great experience! We're so happy we have a new go-to restaurant in Media, and we will be back soon!

This is one of our staple BYOB restaurants when guests are in town. Have been several times and I'm always impressed with the medley of flavors and easy service. It's mostly small plates but you can get the mains on their own. We like the milk buns (definitely get those!), kale caesar, orecchiette, salmon and double cheeseburger. Can't beat BYOB to make it a reasonable and delicious dinner.

Everything here was delicious! Nice atmosphere inside and attentive staff. The dishes lean toward being shared and the portions are smaller, hence the affordable prices. Perfect spot for a date. We tried the milk buns (they were so good I forgot to take a picture), kale caesar (which had a lovely amount of arugula), smoked trout, and the squash tortelloni. Wow the pasta was so good. For dinner we had the toasted spaghetti (like a paella a little), mussels, filet and crab cake, and the half chicken. The filet was the stand out; beautifully cooked and delicately plated. The chicken was juicy and the flavor was good but I was left wanting more out of the rice. Mussels and spaghetti were tasty and the grilled bread with garlic was a great touch. Do NOT skip dessert. The ice cream sundae is better than it sounds and the chocolate rye cake is the perfect ending to share with someone. Impressive coffee bar as well. Really excited to see where this place goes and I imagine their take out meals are worth it for a nice night in. The outdoor setup also looked decent; plus BYOB so make the night fun with that. :)

This used to be my favorite restaurant that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Media, PA. Last night was such a bad experience I will never go back. To start I asked the waitress for a bucket of ice to chill my wine. She brought a bucket filled with mostly water. My husband orderd rolls, salad and the salmon dish. She came back and said they were out of rolls(same thing happened last time we were there). My husband's meal arrives but my dinner never comes. By the time he is almost done we flag down the waitress and she replies she forgot to put my order in to the kitchen. She reports to the kitchen and within minutes a steaming hot bowl of food appears at the table. I ordered the broccoli and shrimp with roasted corn and beans. i received a bowl with a huge amount of parsley, shrimp, beans, 2 tiny pieces of broccoli and 0 corn. i could not believe how much parsley was in the dish! I refused to eat. My bill had the rolls on it which the watress removed when I brought it to her attention. She said it was a good thing I checked the bill!
