Are you kidding me?? The grilled eggplant? The hummus? Here's two dishes you can order anywhere and can come out anywhere from delicious to bland to haunted skunk awful. Here at Manakeesh they are ARRESTINGLY, conversation-stoppingly fantastic. If you're vegetarian, I highly recommend the fried cauliflower as well. The potato and cauliflower or potato and eggplant wrap is top notch. The zataar and cheese flatbreads are out of this world.I don't eat meat, but the menu, smells and sights at Manakeesh are certainly putting that to the test. The food here is so good, I think it ought to be illegal.

Got a grubhub delivery for a Zaatar Labneh Manakeesh (half Zaatar and haf Labneh) and a Roasted Veggie Manakeesh (Roasted red peppers, onions, artichoke with hummus. Both were really good, but I would strongly recommend eating in instead of takeout/delivery as they would taste so much better if freshly made/warmed up. The roasted veggie was quite loaded and was much better than the Zaatar/Labneh one.

Stopped by at Manakeesh. I decided to try something new this time. I got the Grape Leaves Wrap. It was stuffed with tomatoes and grape leaves. It was so big that I felt stuffed like a pig after I ate the whole thing (I barely ate any dinner after eating lunch there). I wanted a cup of baba ganush but unfortunately they were sold out. Ended up being talked into getting a cup of Muhammarah. It wasn't my thing. I felt like it had too many walnuts and tasted like spicy tomato paste. Went to the cafe side and got a cafe Americano with Pistachio Maamoul, pistachio baklava. I was able to check into Yelp and get a 5% off my order. I was finally excited to see a coupon I could use from Yelp. Unfortunately, it took so much back and forth from the staff to get this discount (totally not worth it...also not the best show of customer service). The coffee was amazing (it was super strong). Pistachio Maamoul was ok. I didn't care much for it. I really really loved the baklava, however. The baklava was delicious.

Oh my gosh the baklava was the best....came here for desert and tea and loved it. We got an assortment of desserts and loved every single one of them. I can be picky about baklava but these were all great size, fresh, moist and just so flavorful.Service was great and quick.Could use some more seating and maybe make the cafe space a little more elevated compared to the grill side. But overall cool spot!

Ordered through DoorDash and received the order fairly quickly given the distance from this location. This is the most authentic middle eastern food I have had in the States. Real zatar flavors, falafel served with the right pickles and white sauce, made me nostalgic for the street food vendors back in Dubai. The zatar pita was absolutely delicious and I couldn't believe I could eat the entire bread in one go :) It was that good.Falafels were crispy, fresh and delicious. Pistachio and I album baklavas were outstanding.

Come here for fresh authentic Lebanese food. The flavors are amazing. I tried the chicken shawarma platter and beef/lamb gyro platter with tabbouleh, hummus and Baba Ghanouj. It's a little pricy but worth it for the amount of food that you get. If you order 2 sides with your platter you get a pita. Each platter came out to about $20-25, but it was enough food for two meals. Parking was a little tough to find on a weekend afternoon, but the good thing is the street 2hr parking with no meters!

The food is so good here you can almost ignore the fact that every time you order there will be at least one mistake. Always call to make sure they are actually going to make and deliver your order. I know the app said you were good but just double check. Also make sure they don't charge your card twice. After all that you're like and why did you rate it 4 stars? The baba Ganoush is some of the best I've had. Pairs well with crackers when they don't deliver your pita. Shawarma Wrap is delicious. The homemade lemonade is banging. The food alone is a 5 star experience.

This is a cool little spot that I discovered cruising down Market Place in Philadelphia. If you're into Middle Eastern food then you will love this place. The only thing I didn't like was that the line to order can get pretty long and sometimes you have to wait a while to order. I guess it all depends on the time of day that you visit. I went during the evening. Overall though, the food and the coffee is excellent.

I recently dined at Manakeesh Cafe Bakery & Grill, and while there were some standout dishes like the mouthwatering pistachio baklava and an excellent Shakshouka, I can't give it a full five stars due to a rather annoying issue. During our visit, a mosquito made its way into the dining area, and both my friend and I left with over a dozen bug bites. Despite the delicious food, this experience did detract from our overall enjoyment of the meal.

When they say fresh pita, they really mean fresh pita! It's piping hot and oh so good! My husband and I went in to split a meat platter with the chicken tawook, babaganoush, and fattoush salad. The chicken was perfectly charred and juicy. The fattoush was light and herbal. Everything was fresh and flavorful and super delicious, although maybe a tad bit salty. One platter with these sides was perfect for the two of us, and worth the cost! Service was relatively fast. It's very casual inside, with some outdoor seating too, which was perfect for today's lovely weather. Another must-try is their shortbread cookies. I think their baklava is too sweet, but those cookies are wonderfully complex and interesting. Will be back to try more!
