"I've ordered delivery from Frannie Nick's twice since covid-19. Each time I felt like I was eating a good home cooked meal. The standout star both times was the cheesesteak eggrolls. They are delicious. As good as you will find anywhere in the city. That's the only dish that reminds you that you have ordered from a restaurant. The fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, and string beans have that homemade taste that makes you feel like you made yourself the plate of food at a family dinner. In this era of covid-19, when a lot of sould food family dinners have been canceled, Frannie Nick's really hits the spot when I'm craving soul food."

"Ordered delivery tonight after walking by this place so many times and never stopping in, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken sandwich with cheese and a side of onion rings as well as the crispy chicken bowl with chix rice and a side of mild creamy sauce. Yes, I, one person, ordered all that. I couldn't decide what I wanted. It's been a long week, okay?!The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was still pretty crispy even for delivery and the pickle, cheese, lettuce, and onion game added some class, texture, and flavor. I had ordered the onion rings because why not and those could have been crispier but they were still good. I dipped a few in the mild creamy sauce. The bowl was also pretty fantastic once I added that mild and creamy sauce in. I don't know what magic that sauce is made out of but I thought it was a great mix of heat and flavor. I'm not too sure about the partitioned takeout container because it made it difficult to mix it all together, but I got a couple solid bites of chicken, rice, vegetables, and sauce together before I fell into a food coma. I like the crisp on the chicken. The vegetables were more than just broccoli and carrots, which was fine by me. I love me some squash. Overall, not my favorite chicken bowl in the city (could use some more crunchy texture like some lettuce on the bottom maybe?) BUT still a solid contender. The sandwich was definitely my favorite and I would totally order that again with some of that saaaaauce. I'm interested to try their wings sometime too and maybe some other sauces. Solid chicken spot!"
"Delicious chicken sandwich. I ordered the hot Mac sandwich, the southern bbq sandwich, a side of fries, and the Mac and cheese. The sandwiches were flavorful, crispy, and juicy at the same time. In comparison to other local chicken joints, there are more options for type of sandwich flavor combo as well as wing, wrap, and tender options. The portion of chicken was substantial as well. My more spice inclined friend did note though, if you want your actual spice level order 1 higher than you expect. The plain fries were crispy, would definitely opt for getting them seasoned or topped with cheese or sauce. The Mac and cheese was your regular tasting stovetop Mac, nothing to phone home about but satisfying enough. The service was prompt and the restaurant was very clean. It was a takeout order, but could definitely see myself grabbing a beer and another sandwich another time."
"Love to support local businesses. I will be going again as the bourbon wings didn't knock it out of the park for me. I did like the hand cut fries, presentation was good and the service was excellent. I'll be back with another update once I go again. If you have been, what do you recommend?"
"So this place wasn't on yelp but the food is WAY too delicious not to be on here. The food taste like my uncle from down south was on the grill in a linen outfit and leather sandals(iykyk). I got the ribs, Mac n cheese(taste lie my moms) yams and green beans. I had it delivered and they didn't have the chocolate cake I ordered, the worked called to offer me alternates and added and extra dessert for the inconvenience. Can't beat great food with great service. The place is unassuming but don't miss out!"
"Pre-Covid I was here at least three or four times a month. But then I moved away for a bit but I'm back in Delco and back going to 1010. Over the years I've had their salads, cheesesteaks and some of their pizza. Every single meal has been tasty and great.Today my daughter was here from the city and wanted to order takeout so I suggested 1010. She called the order in and drove to pick it up.I got a text from her when she was there telling me how friendly everybody was there. She wasn't used to that because of living in the city but I told her that this is a normal occurrence there. Every customer is treated as if they are their best customer. They really have the customer service thing down. Today, we opted for a chef salad and a Cobb salad. Both were awesome. Both were packaged well and made it safely home in the car without a mess. You can't go wrong with 1010. Give it a try."
"Service was very good. The seafood fried rice was good. Didn't seem to be the freshest, but taste was good and overall very solid meal"
"I've tried them a couple times. And I can say there are a few things here that I truly enjoy. Their fried chicken is quite good. It's big and crispy. It's definitely the pressure cooked kind and not just some frozen parts thrown into a deep fryer. I think it's a well-kept secret. I also liked the pizza rolls and cheese sticks. My son enjoys the burgers. I'm not crazy about everything they make. Some of their food is more average. In fact that's exactly how I feel about their wings. But they do a few things well and I appreciate that."
"I ordered 4 wings and broccoli with fried rice. The wings are meaty and good! I got the mild teriyaki and it was very tasty. The wings were cooked well and nice and juicy. I was not feeling the rice it had an after taste that I couldn't pinpoint but it was not desirable. I'll be back for wings and skip the rice. Good value for the amount of food."
"Here again the other night. Was very busy since it was a Friday night but we were able to find yo seats at the bar. They have a dj on Friday and Saturday which is pretty loud but ok. I didn't have food this time just drinks but I recommend the wings or the shrimp platter."
"I ordered from Keystone and am glad I did. They had a free delivery deal, and the prices were pretty fair. The baked ziti had lots of cheese and was not bad. The salad had huge pieces of veggies and a lot of feta, which I liked a lot. And each item came with nice, soft bread. The delivery person was also very friendly. I'd order from here again for sure."

Frannie Nicks is a new black women owned BBQ/soul food joint in Queen Village. Their menu includes fried/grilled chicken, shrimp, brisket, alfredo pasta, and sides galore. They're offering great daily deals if you order pickup too. I ordered pickup on a Friday, when they offer 3 sides with their entrees instead of the usual 2, and that was a ton of food!I got the grilled chicken wings with crack sauce, brisket, mac n cheese, collard greens, string beans, sweet potatoes, and potato salad. This was enough for four meals! The chicken wings stood out, they were perfectly cooked and the rub and sauce was delicious. The brisket was disappointing however, it was very dry. I'm not sure if this was a fluke but I wouldn't order it again if it isn't improved. All the sides were delicious! The collard greens and green beans were a nice touch for an otherwise heavy meal.Ordering online was simple and service was smooth and friendly. Overall a good experience and meal and I'd love to try the fried chicken or fish next time.

I had one of their rice bowls a while ago that did not leave me wanting to return. However, I had a few recent recommendations for their salads and wings that made me give them another try. I got the 6 piece soy garlic wings with fries. The fries were crispy and tasty. The flavor of the wings was very good, although they were not evenly sauced, so some parts were just dry. I also didn't want to continue eating them when I came upon a feather in one of the wings. I may go back to try the salads.

I've been there twice the the last 3 days and had 2 completely different experiences. If i could rate a 3.5 stars I would so I'm going with a 3. Thursday 1/29/24 ordered lunch for work:Southern Bbq chicken (permanent insanity heat): *VERY SPICY!!* I have to give kudos to whoever made this hot.. it's actually spicy and packs a hell of a punch! Enjoyed the spice level. However, if you're going to call this a barbecue sandwich, it needs more barbecue sauce than just the quarter size dollop in the middle.. tasted zero bbq Chicken tender- very good. Fries: right amount of crispness. Mac & Cheese: very similar to Wawa's. Just ok. Peach cobbler: I enjoyed this. My coworkers tried the custard and banana pudding: both enjoyed their desserts.Fast forward to today 2/1/24 ordered dinner for the family: Collard Greens: Good seasoning. EnjoyableMacaroni salad: I have no idea what kind of macaroni salad this was but it's was more like a pasta salad- with cheese and tomatoes . Didn't have much creaminess and was very dry. Not a fan of this. Coleslaw: loved it on the sandwich, didn't like it by itself. Fries: this time were soggy. Disappointing Chicken wings: LET'S TALK ABOUT THESE WINGS. This was my first experience of the "no heat" option for spice. I didn't realize that this also meant ZERO flavor. The coating just tasted like crispy fried flour. My mom and husband both tried the wings and nobody liked them- there was just something off putting. The skin underneath was thick and gummy which was causing the coating to fall off. Even tried putting them in the air fryer and it didn't help. We threw these outside for the animals to eat. Very disappointed as we paid $20 for 4 wings and 2 sides and didn't like any of them. Final thoughts: I enjoyed the chicken sandwich's and tenders. Fries are a hit of miss. Not a huge fan of any of the sides I've tried. Give their sandwich's and tenders a shot!! Definitely worth a try. If you love spicy chicken, then there is on point!!!

We ordered 12 naked wings with a side of fries and were really happy with the quality of the food. The hand-cut fries were fresh out of the fryer, and the naked wings were slightly crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Service was quick and friendly even in the middle of a pandemic. We will be coming back again and look forward to trying some of the sauces as well!

Great ribs, potato salad & mac. Food always good, the 1/2 1/2 sauce is the best, half regular bbq & half spicy ! It's perfect

Delicious pizza!!! They make it the conventional way and square shape like deep dish pizza. Options ate available for personal size and 12' pies. The cheese pizza can be customized with any toppings of your like. There's a meat lovers pizza that has mix of beef, sausage and more. The chicken wings are not of my liking. They are cooked too dry. Hard to chew on them. Bit I liked their fries. Overall really good pizza option.

Long post alert****Last nights date night pick up was the best spot that Hubby took me too here in Philly. When I say phenomenal service, recommendations and the food oh my God! The vibe from the owner was simply top tier! I promise you if any of my friends are visiting Philly (west Philly) or you live here..please patronize this black owned restaurant. You will not be disappointed. The oxtail fried rice creative and perfectly delicious. They have anything you could imagine and more. The taste and flavors are over the top! Their smoked greens and kale mix were the best and she doesn't incorporate any meat in them on top of that. I had the salmon fried rice as my dish...let's just say you need to try it no doubt. My husband had the shrimp and chicken bang bang with the best green beans served with it. He wants it again! The tea was so good. We had their pineapple and strawberry tea freshly made. Everything is prepared fresh there. Checkout the menu and you will see that there are dozens of options. STAR FUSION EXPRESS will see me again, before I head back to Dallas next week! My to go order will be flying back with me!

"This place is pretty good! I need to try their wings. I've had a cheesesteak platter previously and it was very good and fresh. This time around I got a homemade iced lemonade with a garden salad with cheesesteak rolls and they hit the spot"
"Very fast service! I was excited to see a poke bowl shop open up in the area. It's also located in a super convenient location with plenty of parking. There's also limited seating indoors and outdoors in case you'd rather eat in the store, but most of the times I've gone, it was mostly for take out.The first time I visited with my friend, we both got the Big Bang poke bowl, which is the most similar to the poke I used to get when I lived Hawaii. It was a nice throw back to nostalgic times.Definitely a great new hole in the wall shop in town worth checking out!"
"I can't recommend this place enough! For a full review check my IG @dr.afia_abroad. My video on this restaurant went viral recently. Uptown needs more good food options, so I'm so happy it's here. I tried many menu options and loved them all. Favorites are the chicken Ceasar salad sandwich (sounds weird but trust me, it's amazing), salmon teriyaki bowl, pizza fries and garlic buffalo wings. Oh and anything with BBQ sauce. The owner here is the son of Dwight's BBQ in Erie (IYKYK)"
"I ordered a salmon cheesesteak and it was DELICIOUS!! Full of flavor with a great balance of seasoning. The special sauce was jus that special. Not over powering and complimented the sandwich perfectly."
"One of the best hot chicken sandwiches i've ever had! The service was great and while there wasn't yet indoor seating, the establishment was clean and organized. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for us!"
"I'm from the west coast and live hand breaded chicken strips. That's what I was looking for. Got the Rockies combo (chicken/strips) and a side of regular tots. It's only serves for take away. I did eat it while it was hot and fresh in my car. The food was hot and fresh, both strips and chicken were moist. Breading was nice crisp and light. They could be seasoned more, that's what was missing for me. Fried chicken should be amazing without hot sauce(in my opinion) It felt more like the batter was seasoned but not the chicken. I could taste the flour a bit as well. Over all it was good, but missing that seasoning magic. The chicken was cooked perfectly for on the bone chicken. I don't want to take that away from them. The tots were fire and crispy. Ranch was homemade a pinch dill forward, nonetheless good quality The guy at the window was super helpful and polite, which is partly a reason I'd try again. Food flavor -3.75Quality-5Service-5"
"Man where do I begin?! So I was looking for some soul food and boy did I find it Food literally fed my soul! I had a fried salmon dinner with mac and a whole lot of cheese , some of the best yams I've ever had ! I definitely would recommend ordering ahead but the wait wasn't bad either. They were definitely doing their thing in the kitchen so be quiet and wait lol. I will definitely be back ! Over and over! And hopefully I can get them to cater my wedding in the future"
"I've now eaten here four times. I've gotten something different each time and I have to say it's been extremely delicious! This place is literally a hole in the wall, doesn't look the best, but a lot of times that's the best place for food. The owner is really friendly and once you've ordered there one time, he'll remember you from there on out. The fries are really good and have some kind of seasoning on them, so you don't need to add salt. I've had a hoagie, salad, wrap and grilled cheese, and everything was super tasty. My big thing about hoagies are the roll, and this place nailed it!"
"I first saw this food cart last week and I was like "Ouuuu they make Caribbean food?? i gotta to give that a try at least once." I expected the seasoning to be slightly watered down since we're in center city, the portions to be a bit small because once again, its center city because I'm sure renting in a prime time spot isn't cheap for carts. Surprisingly, the portions weren't as small as I thought they would be and some of the platters were made ready-to-go! I'm used to neighborhood Caribbean spots running out of food fast or taking 20 min per order, but they were pretty fast and the price point was reasonable. ($8 with a free soda for jerk chicken, plantains, cabbage, and rice in a big bowl). They could've put way more plantains and cabbage in there instead of rice and beans, but the flavor was pretty solid. The chicken is boneless which was convenient imo.I'll def be back here to try the Oxtails and the beef patties. They were out of oxtails. As any good Caribbean spot should be. Pro tip: If you walk up to a Caribbean restaurant / food truck after 3 pm and they still have every single item on the menu available, turn back out the door lol all the good good spots run outta food early lol"
"Not sure why they have such a low rating, I was surprised by how late they were open and honestly really enjoyed my order of shrimp and fries. Only slight complaint was the saltiness could have been a little bit lower for my taste buds. That being said the shrimp were huge, nicely fried and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The fries were exactly what I was craving, plus they were seasoned. Hopefully the quality holds up next time I order as well, will definitely be trying other items on the menu."
"It's Superbowl Sunday and I wanted to get some hot wings for me and a couple of friends so we could watch Big Red finally get a championship. I tried a couple of other spots that were too busy and had a long wait, so I decided to give King of Wings a try. They're located in South Philly, on Passeyunk Ave and they have been there for a long time. The place was busy, but not too crowded. The smell was terrific and I was sure I had found the right place. I looked over the menu and ordered 20 buffalo wings, 10 buffalo fingers, a half rack of ribs and a large potato salad. The prices were very reasonable.I had to wait a bit, but it wasn't that long considering that it was a busy Superbowl SundayI set it up on the dinning room table and I piled a little bit of everything on my plate and sat down on the couch to enjoy the game. The wings were okay, not nearly spicy enough for me, they were medium sized and coated well. The buffalo fingers were kind of soft but fresh. The ribs were not that tender and I felt like a wild animal in the woods tearing meat off the bone. The sauce was tasty though, nice and tangy. The potato salad was nothing to write home about, but it had a cooling balance to all of the spicy food.I was glad the game was good and nobody complained about the food, Big Red prevailed and all of the food was eaten, and lot of adult beverages were consumed and everyone left with a smile on their face."
"The food is great and the customer service is on point. This place is an absolute must try. I've only had a couple items on the menu but I can tell they know what they are doing. This is the kind of place where you know the cooks care about their food!"
"We got delivery from Sorrento. Delivery was fast and friendly.Pizza was fine, nothing great and nothing wrong.Chicken wings were overcooked, too hard and too dry. They were also supposed to come with celery but there was no celery included. I would avoid chicken wings from here in the future."
"Food we ordered chicken satay, kapow /basil stir fry, pad see eew, and a thai tea. Food was great. They don't skimp out on the amount of chicken in the food and honestly the vegetables taste so good that you don't even need the protein added. Thai tea had a bit too much milk, but I like that it came in a to-go cup. Place is small had like two tables that seat 4 people feels much more like a take out place. They are short staffed so we were patient. Only two people working. We dined in and the staff was very kind, there is a bit of a language barrier but overall we got our order in and everything came out great."
"What an amazing place! I was so glad to be invited by the owners of OK hot chicken to come and try their evening establishment. During the day they run Martabak ok which is a sweet and savory pancakes. But after 6 pm, this is the place to be if you love fried chicken! We tried the sandwich, wings, loaded fries and a wrap! All the dishes had varying level of heat, so we could taste it all and honestly even the most spiciest level was 100% enjoyable. Which I think sets them apart, there's been a lot of new hot fried chicken places in Philly and some of them just overdo the spice. Anyway ok hot chicken is halal, fresh, crispy and juicy. They are super sweet and the storefront is clean, it's a take out joint only, so do not expect to sit in."
"This place just opened up a month or so ago across the street from where I work and I finally went over there today to give it a try. I've been trying to stick with healthier options lately, but I threw that all out the window today and ordered the Reuben Cheesesteak. Reubens are my #1 favorite sandwich, and this was a really good twist on it - typical Reuben ingredients in a nice soft hoagie roll. It was really good and not overly packed which is how I like my sandwiches. My friend got the chicken cutlet BLT and said it was really good - she said the chicken was great. I'm definitely trying that one next time! The owner (Charlie, I presume) was really nice as well and we enjoyed our sandwiches so we will be giving him some more business soon."
"Ordered today the bbq chicken pizza and coconut shrimp and let me tell you it's was soooooooo gooooodddd and I hardly say that about any food ! Definitely a must try ! Delivery was quick for a Saturday."
"I have ordered through them quite a bit, and one thing I can say is they are timely and have done a great job with the no-contact delivery. I have had a few dishes that were better than others (the crab ragoon the last time I had it was chewy), but for the most part they are pretty consistent."
"Cheated on my beloved Kung Fu Tea on Saturday and went to Tsaocaa only cuz Manayunk does not have a Kung Fu Tea.I have to say the Thai milk tea here is pretty great, and might I even say, better than Kung Fu Tea's Thai milk tea. This was my first time at Tsaocaa and price wise it's comparable to Kung Fu Tea, maybe a little more expensive, but barely. I like their tall plastic cups too. Probably not the most environmental friendly but they are just a little fancier than the other cups from the other Bubble Tea shops.I don't think they have an app where you can customize and order your drinks ahead of time, but the staff was quick, and I was in and out of there in 5 minutes."
"What an awesome little restaurant. Have been here twice for lunch and both times it was outstanding. I had Pad Thai the first time and Red Curry the second. If you are looking for a good, authentic Thai restaurant, check them out."
"The food was a pretty good option for the holiday weekend. The baby back rib platter was good and filling. The ribs were tender, the Mac and cheese were flavorful, and the corn bread was tasty. I ordered to go and my food was about a 20 minute wait. They have dinning room, but it was very dim and dark inside, like a pub. Overall pretty good. It's not easy finding good bbq in Philly."
"There are two criticisms of Cluck N Fry. 1: The name is terrible, it just is. Sounds fatalistic and dark, as if, "Cluck Then Die" might have been considered. 2: It's take out only, so the quality of the food will suffer in inverse proportion to how long it take you to get home. Those noted, this is absolutely the best fried chicken sandwich you'll ever, ever have. I rate them 12/10, better than turning it up to 11. It's huge, it's cripsy, it's tasty, and is very high quality. The available waffle fries, unlike ALL other waffle fries anywhere else in the known universe, are not empty and dry, they were meaty and substantial. Even the roll used is an out-of-the-park affair. I liked the coleslaw, too, though my dining partner, who is wrong, didn't.Again, it's BYOB, Bring Your Own Bathroom. I suspect that why it's take out only. So, pee first, go get your food, and go home to eat the best fried chicken sandwich you've ever had!"
"I liked the wings....... but that's about all. Even though it's called "America's Wings", there's no freedom of choice.I went there to try out their wings, and who doesn't like a good wing? They have a impressive amount of different flavor sauces and I love spicy food. I thought about ordering the ghost pepper sauce, but I did that once at East Coast Wings during an Yelp event and once was enough, believe me!I ordered the whole wings and I wanted them coated with the Thai chili sauce which was sweet and spicy. The girl taking my order told me in a voice that was tired of repeating the answer. "We don't put the sauce on whole wings you get it on the side a put it on yourself" What? Like ketchup? I want my wings coated with the sauce right from the fryer, so the sauce gets into every nook and cranny. She went on to explain that they only put the sauce on buffalo style wings and I asked her what's the difference? She just shrugged and asked if I wanted to order anything. I felt I was dismissed. Normally I would have left there and never come back, but these are unusual times concerning dinning out so I ordered some buffalo style wings with the Thai chili sauce. I also ordered the hush puppies and fried mushrooms. The wings were a nice size, meaty and tasty. The Thai chili sauce was tasty, but absolutely zero heat. I don't understand how you can use the word "Thai" without a little heat. The mushrooms were so-so, not much of a outer crust. The hush puppies were too dry and you didn't get that cornbread flavor. The meal wasn't that cheap and it seems to me that you should always get what you pay for and get a choice that you are happy with, sadly not here."
