Mallory D. "While another Playa Bowls is my favorite location ever for acai bowls, this spot needs some work. I pretty much live for acai bowls. I swear they have addictive properties in these wonderberries. When I'm not actively eating them I am daydreaming about them. So this is why I'm super hype to eat them and super destroyed inside when they are messed up. Playa forgot my apples. They didn't forget to charge me for my apples, and definitely repeated the work "apple" back to me when I placed my order, but alas, there were no apples. I was devastated. My bowl tasted like disappointment. I will go back because I have faith in Playa Bowls and the wonder that is the acai berry, but that doesn't mean this didn't sting."

Valerie S. "Great little addition to the Villanova area! I've been there twice in the 6 days since they opened. My coworker/friend and I stopped in on one of our lunchtime walks to get some lunch. She had one of the smoothie bowls and something else that I don't recall, and I tried the chicken avocado toast and a smoothie. Everything was really good and made with good quality ingredients. We chatted a bit with the owner who seemed very noce and eager to do well in this location (they also have a place in Avalon). I stopped in again yesterday to introduce my daughter (VU '23) to the place. She got a smoothie bowl which she loved and I tried another smoothie. So far so good with Good ess Bowls. I know they will do well in VU!"

Everything I've had so far has been fresh and delicious. The juices are well thought out with the right combos of fruits and vegetables so that there isn't too much of one and not enough of another. The sourdough is fresh, local, and incredibly delicious! I really appreciate that the blueberries are wild & frozen, as they're better for you and I generally prefer them to the fresh ones. It's clear that Amber has done her research on health and nutrition. I highly recommend Jamber's Juice Bar and will return regularly."

I brought the bowl home to my hubby and he was impressed how it was still cold and the presentation was nice. They also have an app, when you download it you receive a free smoothie. I cant wait to come back and try some different smoothie. They also have vegan ice cream which im dying to try. The place itself is super clean and bright. The service is pretty fast a lot of workers preparing the fresh smoothies."

I had the began sandwich which was pretty good. Along with my smoothie was very fulfilling. I can't wait to return to try a salad and all of the smoothies."

Rachel K. "Conveniently located within the Villanova train station, the allure for fresh coffee is enormously high. And indeed, convenience is often the victor when certain students arrive on campus each morning. I must say, I do love this place. The woman who is literally always working there, who at this point I have no choice but to assume is the owner, is adorable. She is very friendly and clearly loves the students and her job. The coffee and smoothies are super delicious, again, no doubt about that. I also love that you can buy greek yogurt and bagels here--graduate student staples. However, the prices are madness. I understand that it's Villanova, and you're also paying for the convenience, but whoever created the menu here seriously did not have students in mind. Paying $7 or more for a bagel/coffee combo is absurdity to me. Just across the train tracks, at Second Story Cafe, you can purchase a bagel and a medium coffee for $0.95--yes, you read that correctly. Unless I'm running super late or am feeling ridiculously lazy, I walk right by Rosie's Mug. There are on-campus options that are equally as good that don't attempt to rob me blind."

Phylicia H. "This was one of my go to spots for lunch when I was in the office. I haven't been to the office much since the pandemic and was so happy to see this business still open and thriving! Great smoothie and açai options to choose from. Everything is freshly made right in front of you. I always order the chipotle black bean burger or açai bowl. This time I went with the classic samba bowl, which is a tad bit pricey but they do give you a generous amount of fresh fruit and granola. Plus it's delicious and healthy so you can't go wrong with it.Service has always been great here. I just noticed for the first time that they have a beyond burger + smoothie combo for a great deal so I'll definitely check that out next time."

I especially like the fruit bowls with the Pitaya Bowl being my favorite. It is so tasty. Remember to stir it up when you go to eat it as the delicious pitaya is on the bottom. As Bahia Bowls is only a very short walk from where I live, I will be crossing its threshold many times. My taste buds and stomach will not be complaining!"

Rhea M. "I alternate between here and SoBol, but honestly I prefer here (Playa) so much more. The menu is longer with more options to mix and match and I like their default options more. SoBol has a better granola mix (granola, nuts, pumpkin seeds), but Playa has more fruit options. Playa also pours less honey than SoBol does which is always a plus for me because it's easier to ask for extra honey rather than remove it once it's poured. I usually stick with the Tropical bowl; occasionally you can tell they removed the pineapple recently from the freezer, but it's appreciated on hot days.Worth stopping by to try different combinations. Service is always fast and it's never crowded."

They actually taste like the ingredients that are listed. I've tried about 10-12 at this point and have enjoyed them all. The lunch items are also great. Wraps, paninis, and toasts are very large. My Greek wrap with chicken was outstanding today. Love the buffalo chicken wraps too. Not everything on the menu has a perfect match for my preferences ingredients-wise, but they are always willing to add or subtract things to make it the way you like it. The staff is really friendly. The owner is always happy to welcome you back, chit chat when things aren't too busy, and thank you for your business. I'm going to keep coming back as long as things remain this consistently great."

Now I don't have to drive to some hipster college town in search of a franchise to get my fix. The Juice Pod is every bit as good as more well known names with a lot less pretense. They have suggestions for creations but I always roll in and create my own. And I'm happy to report they are very accommodating of my allergy. In addition to açaí bowls there's juice and other healthy things I didn't bother to look at. I have become a loyal customer and look forward to my next fix!"

The overnight oats with yogurt was the perfect snack to recharge and cool off before heading back home. The fruit tasted fresh and I loved the granola topping. It was also a nice ratio of oatmeal and yogurt. My biking partner got the pitaya bowl. The couple bites I had were delicious. I stopped by on a Saturday morning and was greeted by friendly workers and the owner of the store. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and fast! The store itself has ample seating, multiple restrooms and plenty of open spaces for little ones to play or roam. There is a parking lot with many spaces and is handicap accessible. The food itself was amazing and so fresh. I ordered a PB Berry bowl with açaí and it comes with banana, blueberries, strawberries, and peanut butter drizzle. I paid $12 for my bowl and it was well with the price for the size and freshness of ingredients. I am looking forward to returning and trying other items from the menu!"

Caroline C. "I visited here when they first open in fall 2021 and just returned to see how things are going. My verdict: improved! The menu is HUGE which isn't a bad thing but I think that is what slows things down. I think smoothies and bowls will always come out faster here and it makes sense since this called the Juice Pod. I went around 1pm for a smoothie and it was very busy with doordash pickups, high school kids hanging, and gym people. I waited only a few minutes for my smoothie and it tasted great. Prices are real high here for plenty of reasons I'm sure. But if I feel like treating myself, there are no other smoothie places that have as much fresh ingredients nearby so this is worth it for me occasionally."

They have so many different bowls, juices, smoothies, and even cold brew!I hate banana (which we know is normally in every smoothie), and I was so happy that they were able to substitute it and still maintain a thick and creamy texture in my smoothie. I had the nutter butter and substituted strawberry for banana. It was SO GOOD! Like a peanut butter and jelly in a smoothie! I would get this again and again. Megan C. "Easy online ordering process, delicious açaí bowls, and lots of customizations make this SoBol a winner in my book. I haven't tried a ton of the bowl-style chains in the area as I tend to make fairly delish smoothies and bowls from home when the craving hits, but grabbing lunch delivery totally hit the spot. I appreciate the use of agave in their standard açaí bowl - perfect amount for a not-overly-sweet experience. You can add all kinds of things like peanut butter, fruit, etc, but keeping the classic as is was fabulous. I appreciated the speedy delivery and the fact that my bowl was still frozen perfection upon arrival to my home. I imagine they do a great large order service as well in the event you're looking to mix up your office lunch or breakfast. Will order again!"

Mike C. "The strawberry / banana smoothie had clumps in the bottom of the cup. It looked like the clumps were under defrosted pieces of frozen fruit. I stabbed my straw into them and couldn't suck them up. Not giving up I jammed the extra large bobo type straw they give you into the frozen item and proceeded to eat my smoothie. My other observation I had is the smoothie itself did not taste as good as the one I had at Juice Pod. The smoothie is $8 here and $10 for the same size at Juice pod, not sure if the quality is less or the preparation is different but pretty sure I saw the person who made it for me scoop it out of a tub like they do at Rita's water ice. The storefront and area inside the store are nice but it's a one and done for me.As always people SYOY!!!"
