"The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Tangs's: Fresh. The second? Super friendly.I came across Tang's during my usual stake out of food trucks during lunch hour and decided to order a beef and broccoli over brown rice. What I was expecting was the run of the mill Chinese take out version of beef and broccoli: semi tough beef and overcooked broccoli swimming in grease and a large quantity of brown sauce. To my great delight what I got was the complete opposite - the beef was tender and the broccoli was a lively green and incredibly fresh. There was a light and just right amount of sauce and great helping of chili oil. The lady running the truck is so friendly, welcoming & nice (a stark contrast to the lady at Yue Kee). The wait is short and the prices are impressively cheap. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other items on their expansive menu!"
"On a beautiful an warm November afternoon I was rushing to go to this food truck thinking that there would be a long line. To my surprise there were only three people standing. Due to inflation, the price has gone up to $15. He served a mixture of homemade noodles and rice with juicy grilled chicken as usual. He also included grilled plump grapes which looked like olives. So tasty and worth the price."
Served with syrup and topped with powdered sugar. Add toppings for an additional charge.

"If you ever lived in University City, you KNOW this is the best burrito and taco spot in the area. Even to this day whenever I visit University City, I HAVE to go and get myself Don Memos. The line for this food truck is unlike any other. I especially love the al pastor burrito. It's operated by two brothers / a family (I think) and they are ON TOP of their burritos and tacos -- they are the real deal! PRO TIP: 1. Get their phone number and you can call ahead so you don't have to wait in line 2. Need cash!!! ALL FOODTRUCKS ARE CASH!!"
"Alright, this truck ain't no gourmet truck. There's no truffle butter or some uppity ish. But it's still great food, for an equally great price. You can either get ANY foot long for $5.50, or a combo - a drink, fries, and a 6 inch for $5.50. Steal! I personally love their fries (really fluffly on the inside). Their hoagies/steaks are always satisfying. The lady who works here is really nice and she always remembers to put extra ketchup for me! I guess it's really just standard lunch food, but it's always consistent and no one else comes close to the low price. While you're waiting for food here, check out the truck's new makeover. Huge improvement to what it once looked like."
"This place is a gem and all the Chinese people know of its existence on the Penn/Drexel campus. For $3-$5 you can get a carton full of somewhat authentic (depending on the dish you order) Chinese food including a soft drink. It's really busy weekdays during lunchtime when floods of international students and/or asian health science professionals hoard this truck, so if you order then expect a 15 minute wait. They now take phone orders so you can avoid this dilemma. During non rush hour your food is ready within 2-3 minutes.A middle aged couple runs this truck, and they don't normally greet you with bright smiles and extraordinary etiquette; but you're an idiot if you expect great customer service from a food truck. You're paying them $3-5 for quick delicious food.. they don't owe you any extra smiles, and they can afford losing your business if you can't tolerate not being treated like a princess. In all honesty, they're just very neutral but that's understandable considering the level of stress. tldr; cut these people some slack and just order your food and leave.I'm surprised no one has contributed actual food photos of this place, so I guess I'll be the first."
"This is our ice cream place. They will have to do something really terrible to me and/or my family to stop me from coming here. The cone selection is amazing. I got a midnight vanilla waffle cone with 2 scoops of berry crunch. LOOK AT ALL THE ADJECTIVES IN THAT SENTENCE? It was so great. My wife got a cake cone with peach ice cream on top. What's a cake cone? The bake cake into an ice cream cone. I don't know if I live in a cave or what but this idea struck me as revolutionary. There was quite the assortment of cones. I can't wait to go back and get vanilla."
"Moshava has been on my radar for a while from their popups at Herman's Coffee Shop, and when I saw them at Manayunk StEAT Fest, I shavad mo way through the crowds and got in line, and once I got my food all I wanted was mo to shava in my mouth! They were busy and looked a bit overwhelmed and it took a while to get the food, but it was so good! There were options of 3 bowls- shnitzel, falafel, and shwarma, priced at about $15-16 I think? All came with rice and chick peas, and there were other options for some sides like hummus, fries and tater tots. The best thing we got were the lamb pita pockets- highly recommend those and the sauce was so good! We also really enjoyed the shnitzel and lamb shwarma with bok choy. The green spicy zhug sauce was super spicy! This place israeli delicious, highly recommend following them on ig to find out where you can find them!"
"Easily one of the best food truck secrets in all of Philadelphia, for now? When I first read that the slightly unknown food truck was going to be in attendance during the Connie's Ric Rac 10 Year Anniversary Show, I instantly checked their website and had my minds eye flowing with meat perfection! And upon seeing the execution I have to consider the closest thing possible to having Fogo De Chao within a food truck! In fact it comes from a Brazilian born chef who spent time working in Fogo, Chima, and Na'Brasa (https://foodjunkets.com/2014/07/31/new-brazilian-steak-truck-coming-soon-to-philly/). So it goes without saying that he knows a thing or too about full on carnivore glory!Unless you're vegetarian/vegan, when you find yourself looking at a menu filled with sirloin, rib eye, sausage, chicken, and kebob options, for $10, it's easy to find yourself craving all of the above. Especially if you catch its scent as its being intricately cooked upon a hand turned spit rotisserie style (Inside the food truck!), and have the bulk of those meats served sandwich style with either lettuce/tomato/onion, or a good sized chunk of pineapple that's also cooked a bit upon the spit.Upon seeing the menu options my mind was singing to it Freddie Mercury style (https://youtu.be/hFDcoX7s6rE)! But with clearer reading the true winner turned out to be the Leme, which had the most succulent chunks of chicken that I've ever had, WRAPPED IN BACON, and stuffed into a flaky and slightly toasted roll alongside a good sized chunk of that aforementioned pineapple. And it goes without saying that that sandwich gods were smiling down upon me that afternoon! For now (Change request submitted!) this listing is perfectly misleading since Rio Brazil(ian) is a food truck and not a steakhouse, and 34th & Market is supposed to be where they're parked during the week when their not catering or doing special events. But if you're a meat eating sandwich lover who sees this truck (Facebook may help - https://www.facebook.com/riobraziliansteaktruck), do yourself a favor and get some!"
"Cute little good truck in Clark park/West Philadelphia. We were able to order our food online and then pick up in person. Made it very easy during these COVID times. My husband and I both got the gobbler special which is a Thanksgiving feast hoagie but VEGAN. It's so cool to find a restaurant doing this iconic sandwich but vegan so I can eat it. The hoagie was filled to the max with stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey and cranberry sauce. Surprisingly it was really easy to eat and there are a ton of tables and chairs close to the truck. The sandwich was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu."
"I'm always greeted with a smile and a "what can I get for you, sister?"The friendliest food truck in the area, big enough portions that I usually get a full meal and a little snack from it. Can customize what you order and they do it with a smile. It's in a great location with really good hours for those late dinners, and every time I walk on that corner, when I weigh the options of all the yummy places, the food truck usually wins out. Try the fish over rice, if you usually get chicken, it's fried and delicious. They give you a drink with your food and are always clean. White sauce is tangy and I drench my chicken over rice in it, and the hot sauce is a good balance of flavors and slight spice. Try it next time you want some street food. Even the cheesesteak is classic!"
"I frequently work at the convention center in Philadelphia, right across from the Reading Terminal Market. I've explored nearly every food vendor within the market, but Ma Lessies consistently had lines stretching down the corridor. That level of popularity has to mean something special, yet due to my limited time, I never had the opportunity to wait in line--until yesterday.I can tell you now the hype is entirely real; Ma Lessies is nothing short of exceptional. The chicken is remarkably tender inside, boasting a delicious blend of flavors, and comes with a beautiful, crispy exterior. They fry basically everything--chicken, fish, cod, shrimp, and more--and each dish comes with a choice of one side. I've heard people saying that a single side is not enough, but for me, it was more than plenty. For my lunch, I got the chicken breast combo with their Mac and Cheese. Being a mac and cheese enthusiast, I can tell you that it was soooo good. I couldn't resist adding the cornbread to my order, and it lived up to my expectations--it's homemade, by the way, but be aware that it's an additional cost.Ma Lessies takes pride in crafting everything from scratch and preparing each plate to order, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times. Nevertheless, I've learned a local's trick to avoid the long lines (which worked perfectly for me). The place opens at 11 AM, so arrive about 10 minutes early to secure your spot in line and get your food promptly. Despite not being a fan of an 11 AM lunch, the exceptional flavor of the food makes it entirely worthwhile.I'm eagerly looking forward to trying their Chicken and Waffles, which is, essentially, their signature dish."
"Solid lunch option adjacent to UPenn and HUP.Really enjoyed my lamb over rice. Great spot to grab some food and find a nice park bench to eat and watch the world go by."

Tang's is another Chinese food truck on Penn's campus. An alternative to Yue Kee's, it's a good substitute for someone who doesn't want to deal with the cantankerous Yue Kee lady or the Yue Kee wait.Tang's is so much faster than Yue Kee's because they don't stir-fry the food fresh for you on the spot. Nonetheless, their food still comes out piping hot and is quite delicious and fast. My favorite is the "egglan & tofu" followed closely by the "egglan and chicken". I love that purple vegetable! Get reacquainted with this delectable vegetable. Your mother would be proud.I can't explain the personality difference. They have an extensive menu and almost all of their options are under $4. Wait time during lunch hour is ~15-20 mins from the time you get in line to food in hand.

The food is as always very delicious unique filling and moth watering. We were here on Friday afternoon and saw that there was not much line, so we decided to get food here. But the guy was preparing chicken so it took him some time to get things ready. It was cold and windy outside, so he passed free chicken pieces while people waited in line. This was to let folks know what they were waiting for. Since the line was small, we were able to get an extra box. The price has increased a bit. It used to be $10 but now it's $20. The food quantity is sufficient to last more than one meal. He uses all the fresh ingredients and food is delicious. Highly recommend it.

Food: 4.75 Out of 5Burrito was perfectly executed. Enough said.Service: 4 out 5Unfortunately because of the size of the trailer we put in our order and had to wait 45 minutes to get our burrito.Environment: N/A Overall: 4.75 Out of 5This burrito was nostalgic. I thought every piece of item in this burrito was made with time and care. Brought me back to the burritos I would get at the local taquerias in CA.

Now the truck has a new look. The woman told me that they are gonna be featured on a Food Network show, so they got all remodeled. Sadly, Temple News did not cover this so few people actually know about it.This place is as good as ever and still the best deal I know around.

It's one of my favorite food trucks on the Penn campus. There's usually a long line, but it's worth waiting. I usually get the soup (either lo mein noodle or hong feng noodle) with pork ribs. Mapo Tofu is great. I also like potatoes with pork. Singapore noodle is good too, but it's greasy. I am going to try new dishes every day. The price is super duper reasonable, and the best thing is that you can get the authentic taste with 4 or 5 dollars.

Possibly the best food truck in university city. Fabulous meats. Try a different meat each time you come by. It's just fabulous. The picana beef to die for. Rice and beans with salad. Chicken wrapped in bacon. Grilled pineapple.

"If you're looking for a food truck that offers flavorful and authentic Indian cuisine, then look no further than "Bombay Kitchen Food Truck"! This food truck is a must-visit for anyone who is a fan of Indian food, and the weekly specials only make the experience even better. The first thing that stands out about Bombay Kitchen Food Truck is the quality of the food. The dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that are packed with flavor. The menu offers a variety of classic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, and samosas, as well as some unique creations that you won't find anywhere else. One of the things that sets Bombay Kitchen Food Truck apart from other food trucks is their weekly specials. Each week, the truck offers a new special dish that showcases different flavors and ingredients from across India. Some of my favorite specials include the samosa, chicken biryani and chicken chicken tenders . The specials are always a great way to try something new and exciting. In addition to the delicious food, the staff at Bombay Kitchen Food Truck are always friendly and welcoming. They are happy to answer any questions you might have about the menu or the ingredients, and they are always ready with a smile.Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Kitchen Food Truck to anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine. With its delicious food, weekly specials, and friendly staff, it's a food truck that should be on everyone's must-visit list."
"The best taco truck in the city of Philadelphia, I kid you not! I must have been here at least 3 times last week. The more taco places I ate at, the more Taco Loco stood out. The tacos here range from $2.50 to $2.75 and they load it with meat every time. My favorite was always the al pastor, their spicy pork marinated in pineapple tacos. The pork was packed with flavor and the pork fat helped caramelized the crust and crisp up the meat on the pan. The owner Carlos is just an awesome guy. He always served up my food with a smile. With the exception of maybe Blue Corn, I don't believe any other spots in the city can really compare to their al pastor tacos. Cheap eats, great service and absolutely delicious food, five stars. If you are going to order a lot however, make sure you call ahead, they are always busy so the wait can be long."
"Usually at 33th and Arch St. It was a great food truck cheesesteak. According to an article online the owners are good hard working people. Mr. Happy Sunshine wasn't too happy sunshine when I ordered my ice tea after my cheesesteak was cooked. If I worked, lived or played near Drexel, For $5 I would eat this cheesesteak allday everyday."
"Today while in University City I needed a quick bite to eat. I didnt want anything heavy, as I past this food cart the prices and menu caught my attention. I decided on the chicken on a stick it was 2 sticks of flavorful chicken garnished with red cabbage, shredded carrots and cucumbers. It also had a side of sweet chilli sauce. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. If I am in the area again I will stop past and venture out on the menu."
"This is my second visit here. It is usually very busy and can have a long wait. Is worth it! Remember, it's BYOB, so come armed with your Proseco of choice.Waiters are attentive, and service is fast! My first time, I enjoyed the Southern Comfort and shared it with my husband, who chose the Surf and Turf grits. The southern comfort, a fried chicken breast atop well seasoned roasted potatoes and covered with gravy and served with a biscuit, was the better of the two dishes. The surf and Turf was delicious cheesy grits topped with brisket, crabcake, shrimp and lobster. This time I had a short stack with blueberries and a side of bacon. My husband had the chicken and waffles. We both enjoyed our meals but our first choices were the best."
"THE BEST HALAL CART In all of Philadelphia! Fresh, fast and tasty! I usually get the chicken over rice, but have migrated to the falafel sandwich which could not be better."
"This is a hidden gem in South Philadelphia. Only opens Wednesday until Sunday from 5 to 9. I've never had birria tacos before. I saw their post on Instagram and looks amazing. The food truck is located on 7 street near the corner of 7 and Moore. When I got there around 5:15, there were already several people waiting for their orders. It took a while to get your order. They put the menu on the board. I ordered birria tacos comes in 3 tacos. It definitely worth the wait. Tortilla is very fresh. Beef is tender, hot sauce on the side is spicy. Definitely put the lime and dip it in the consome that comes in separate container. The broth is very savory, not too salty, perfect flavor. Although it is red, it's not spicy at all. I can drink it like that. There are some pieces of that beef in the consome. Very authentic.Friendly service also they use paper container for the tacos instead of styrofoam. Very responsive to my questions through Instagram Cash or Venmo."
"Went here with my wife for lunch. Small place with a few seats outside. Very helpful and friendly staff. Owner is amazing with what he can do, ordered the cheesy beef sandwich and I don't think I've had a better sandwich, it was perfectly made. Wife had the tofu bahn mi sandwich which was equally as delightful. The flavors and textures from both sandwiches were amazing. First time here and really wish one was closer this is a sure hit for everyone."
"This cart is run by a sweet couple. Great food options between classes. It's become the go-to place for food before, in between, and after classes. PLEASE USP/PCP/USciences (whatever the heck you want to call yourself), save Linda's Cart!"
"Vegetarian and Meat eater friendly food truck on temple's campus with a delicious variety of foods with the option to get your sandwiches on pitas. They advertise that they use cage-free eggs, local and organic foods.Their prices are decent. The make their own green tea and fries.Their salads a great, they use cut up pitas instead of croutons. Their gyros are tasty and I am a fan of their buffalo chicken pita. It's always pretty busy, so give yourself at least 10 minutes to wait at times, but it is worth it. They have tables and seats set up outside so you can sit down while you wait. Good alternative to the usual greasy foods you get from all the other trucks on campus and very reasonably priced."
"This food truck is at the corner of 12 and Norris across Temple School of Engineering.Line can be long during lunch time. After placing the order you are given a number and your number will be called when it's ready.I had veggie burger which I asked to be turned into wrapped. It's really good. It has spicy mayo and sweet and sour sauce with some greens and fresh avocado.Chicken and waffle is delicious too.I took a star down because the wait is so long for my order. My boss who ordered after me got her food before me."
"I continue to be amazed by both the quality and quantity of food provided for less than $10! They even throw in a drink. This food truck offers sandwiches, platters over rice, or platters over salad (or a combination of rice and salad). I opt for the platter over salad every time, switching between lamb and falafel. They put white and hot sauce to your preference.I do not know there formal hours, but I typically catch them right before they pack up between 7 and 8pm. The cart is quick with extremely friendly service. Check them out!"
"The Mexicali food truck is back. It's back, people. Oh, do you prefer the abundant burrito chains in West Philly? I'm sorry... do you even have taste buds? This place has a seriously creative menu. I'm a vegan and I can appreciate the incredibly long list of veg-friendly options (just hold the cheese to make them vegan). Today, on their grand re-opening day, I tried the new "Tofu Verde" burrito for $5. Everything on it is quality. From the deliciously fresh and soft tortilla, to the chewy marinated tofu, to the cilantro and onion, to the slow cooked wonderfully spiced beans. I inhaled it although the initial plan was to save half for later. My bad. But so worth it.I also highly recommend anything with sweet potatoes or guacamole. The vegetarian tacos are wonderfully spicy, packed with tofu and sweet potatoes and a great deal at $5."
"This place is my go-to for grabbing a quick lunch during work. I always get the Kimchi Fried Rice with beef (you can also get chicken or tofu instead). For $7, it's a great deal. The portions are very generous with lots of kimchi and beef, topped with a fried sunny side up egg. It's very spicy but so good. I have tried the tteokbokki also, which is spicy and delicious too. I have dabbled in the other menu items a bit, like the bibimbap, but nothing is as satisfying as the kimchi fried rice. Totally recommend getting the kimchi fried rice here! For the price, you can't beat it. Like a typical food truck, they accept cash only. However, they recently started accepting Venmo! So that makes it a lot easier."
"Maybe this is irrational to say but the UCity food trucks were one of three things that kept me sane during my undergraduate career and to them I owe the world, much less a 5 star Yelp review. Yes, this was my first time at this particular truck and no, it wasn't distinct from any of the other halal trucks I've frequented, but hey. Cheap, quick, tasty, could probably last two meals but I was feeling woozy so I ate it all at once = all a girl can ask for. Thank you, I love you, and good night."
"I have never head an issue buying a delicious chicken and rice halal meal at this truck. The price, also, is always right, especially in this area where you typically pay an arm and an a leg for lunch. $5-6 dollars for a meal, including a drink? Who can beat that? And... the people here are super nice!"
"Delicious mexican food at a great price and from the friendliest people on campus! I always make a stop there while on campus! Remember to get there early so you don't have to wait to long!"
"This food truck really reminds me that there are good people left in this world! Jay is one of the most sweetest person ever! Once a month he has free food for anyone which, is something I didn't know until last week when me and my co-workers went to get some food. Not only does he do this but when you pay for the food vis Venmo he comments on everyone of them thanking his customers! The food itself is super worth it as well. There are two options either chicken which, is $5 or the pork which, is $6. The meal comes with water so you dob't have to worry about your beverage. On top of the meal you pick he offers to put onions and hot sauce which, is something I recommend because it just makes it taste 10 times better. The food is good and the customer service is fantastic!"
"The bomb.com. They know my order as soon as I walk up and are so friendly! You can't go wrong with any of the food options. While the place is cash only, they are now using an app which you can pay online and order ahead."
"I had biryani. Chicken and lamb. Extra spicy. My nose was running from the spice and that was what I wanted. Lol. This was good. I actually called my order in and picked it up. Everything is made to order."
"I have to second what someone else said, this pizza from Gopuff also made me and my girlfriend sick. It doesn't taste terrible, but isn't really worth the cheap price if it messes with your stomach."
"I've had Dump N Roll a few times now and every time it's delicious! All of their menu items are great but my faves are the veggie dumplings, Mac and Cheese egg roll, cheeseburger wontons, and pad Thai spring rolls. The soy sauce they serve with the dumplings is so addicting! The owner and staff are always pleasant. I've had them at a few events and during KOP food truck Tuesdays. Fast and friendly service. Definitely check them out if you see them!"
"Excuse me! How dare you be this good?! The soft serve is perfect. One of the best in the city. The shop itself is small but accommodating. The staff is beyond amazing. We only ordered two sundaes and they presented them on a tray and handed them to us. They even offered to bring them out.Even more impressive, they have been extremely vocal about covid protections of customers and staff . Something I'm really focused on is how places treat employees. I can tell this is a healthy working environment. This is what I love about Philly businesses. Go to East Passyunk and just enjoy a memory on the street in these summer nights."
