I had trouble finding this location. It's among a cluster of fast-food restaurants located in the building labeled Finn Hall. They could make do with a list of restaurants in the building placed on the outside so that people who look specifically for this restaurant won't be confused.I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken. The chicken itself was flavorful and tender, but a bit too salty for me. It tasted like there wasn't enough from the other ingredients to balance the saltiness of the chicken. My coffee took a while to be served. I was under the impression that they'd serve the coffee first, but I had to remind them after I got my dish.

Amazing! Located inside Finn /Flinn Hall! Found this place during a lunch meeting. Huge portions. Great taste. Super friendly staff. Thank you for all the recommendations and help with explaining the menu to us. The banana split pancakes and chicken biscuit with gravy were amazing!

This place was surprisingly good! It is located inside the Finn food hall, and so many other restaurant stalls to choose from, including cafe, pizza, Mexican, full bar, sandwiches, burgers, noodles, etc. It was quiet and nice for groups and talking, but having a DJ made it a little too loud for talking at some point. The food was very good and large portions. We had brown sugar bourbon, glazed shrimp, and grits - I thought initially that the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste, but it was actually perfect with the shrimp. My husband thought it was very garlic-y and oily. Nonetheless, we both like the dish overall. Also had houston hot chicken busicuit- delicious. Chicken was juicy and soft, cooked well. It was NOT spicy, though. Biscuit and potatoes were well seasoned and delicious. .Service was also well executed! Overall experience was very very good and I would recommend to anyone!

Why did it have to be like this? I wanted to like it. I came in with an open mind and positive attitude. To begin, the menu on the wall is not comprehensive. They serve items like grits that are not displayed on the menu. The food is expensive but the portions are fairly large so I guess that evens things out. I was mostly disappointed with the food itself. I ordered a side of cheese grits and the eggs, biscuits and gravy which came with potatoes for some reason. The cheese grits didn't seem to have much cheese (so i added some) and they seemed to be slightly undercooked. The biscuits and gravy, egg, potatoes combination was horrible. Everything was incredibly sweet. Like disgustingly sweet. The food had so much potential. I don't understand the biscuits atop of potatoes. It actually made the biscuits very soggy. Also the potatoes were drowning in gravy. I really do believe the biscuits are good but what surrounds them is so sweet it makes the biscuits inedible. I definitely feel like the restaurant has A LOT of potential but there needs to be some improvement on the flavors.

Overall the food was very mid. The food is too expensive to justify the flavor. They do give military discount so remember to ask when you get here. The service was good; quick. Overall it was just not what we were expecting. This is a black owned business tho so if you're into breakfast food and need some time to yourself def come here and try it for yourself All the best- Deez :P

Haven't been to Finn Hall in a while and as we were walking around during lunch we found this place nestled back where Dish Society once was. This time I am glad we didn't check out the reviews because on yelp because we would have probably just walked on by. Menu serves breakfast all day items and has some soups, salads, and sandwiches from what I remember. My coworker eyed the honey hot chicken sandwich and smothered chicken...it was my turn to buy so asked them it they could split the items so we could share and they obliged without any resistance. Got them with a side of butter/cheese grits, potatoes and a cup of chicken noodle soup. While ordering I thought we may have ordered too much, but how many places nowadays the price typically hasn't been matching the amount. NOT this place, when my food was ready to pick up I thought to myself big plate, but they hadn't cut it in half yet. I was wrong, the big a** plate I was picking up was just half, had to make 2 trip to bring everything to the table.I was really surprised from some of the flavors. Potatoes, grits, soup, honey hot chicken all stood out. The smothered chicken, note to self...crack the over easy egg first before moving and trying other things. Looks like by the time I got to it it had cooked a little too much to run down the chicken.Extra notes...soup had great flavor but the noodles did seem to be a bit overcooked and the grits are very good, but if you take in some of the other more robust flavors first they will be a distant memory. Owner owns this place and Craft Burger in Finn Hall.

Was excited to visit Finn Hall. We never been inside here before. The food hall itself is cool and not as commercialize as some of the newer one (e.g. the post or railway)Since it weekend we were in mood for brunch. The shrimp and grits and chicken biscuit smothered in white gravy topped with over easy looks so good online we had to give it a try. After one bite, we noticed both dishes were very sweet. Found out that they use a lot of brown sugar in their dishes. It threw us off. I think it would had been really good if they cut back on the sugar. Kinda like if someone over do it with salt. It ruins and over power the dish.I give it a 2.7/ 5 stars. If they make some correction they could be contender.

Upon arrival we saw that it was set up to where we had to place our own orders at the kiosk. Generally, that would've been fine but I was a first time visitor and had questions about the menu. There was no one there at the front desk to assist and only 2 gentlemen in the back who were cooking and making the dishes. I did ask one of them to for help but he asked me hold on for a minute which was fine. He seemed to be frustrated with me but it was understandable being that they were short staffed. I wish there were more staff present so that I didn't feel bad or rushed with asking questions. Once we got our food, the biscuits came cold and I learned they weren't fresh, only reheated. He apologized for the cold biscuits and immediately warmed them up. However, they came back burnt. The shrimp and grits could've had more flavor and wasn't very satisfying.

Me and a few friends decided to get out today and tried a new spot for brunch. Carol Kay's - located in Finn Hdid not disappoint. The staff are some of the friendliest! I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, so cutting something is a challenge. I ordered the smothered chicken biscuit, and asked if the kitchen could cut my chicken for me. They did! SUPER NICE!My friends ordered the hot honey pork belly - they loved it! I had a bite - right mix of sweetness with a hint of spice, and the pork was super tender. The biscuits - yummm! I could've taken the tray home! The sausage gravy - like my granny use to make. And the potatoes on the bottom of the bowls - cooked perfectly!I would suggest getting an order of the cinnamon rolls too. Since they're located in Finn Hall, seating is not an issue.
