"Solid Pho spot! Was visiting Houston for the weekend and we were craving some soup on a cold day. Service was great and food came out very quick. #1. Cha Gio- Vietnamese eggs rolls were good. I liked that they had shrimp and pork inside. Nicely fried and crispy, good starter.#11. Pho Tai- broth was very flavorful and eye round steak was great. Ordered the large bowl and it was very filling. Plenty of bean sprouts, Thai basil and jalapeños to add. YUM"
"Pho Ben is a well established Vietnamese restaurant in the Sugarland area and always bustling during dinner time, so plan ahead if you're coming with a large group! I ordered a large (only a one dollar difference from the small!) and it was excellent all around. Service was remarkably fast and the workers don't check on you much, leaving you to enjoy your meal with minimal interruptions."

"Always bring clients here for lunch and dinner. It has become a staple as the food and service are great. It is nice bc you can get in and out fairly quickly for a sit down restaurant."
"This is simply a go-to spot in town! It's got a great atmosphere, chic decor for a Pho spot and MUCH cheaper than most of your new "hip" pho spots in central Houston.I am a big advocate of their spring rolls because they use their banh mi meat and it is just out of this world! I haven't found many spots that serve a more unique menu of spring rolls.Their pho is delicious, it's got plenty of flavor and a great feel good dish after a busy week.I highly recommend this place, the people here are so welcoming!"
"My wife loved her Angel Island combo smoothy, peach, mango and strawberry. I really enjoyed my iced Viet coffee with condensed milk. Wifey had the regular sized chicken noodle soup....I helped and we still couldn't finish all of it, very good. I usually try the grilled pork banh mi with a fried egg on my first visit to a "new for us" place......very tasty. We also shared some fried chicken dumplings...some of the best we've ever had.....we'll be back for more goodies. They have a bunch of locations so you should be able to find one near you."
"Came midday the place was empty, but their ToGo orders are nonstop that's how you know the food is good. Sat at the bar for lunch. Since I was the only one dining in, I got my food fast & it was steamy good!!! I typically try the same thing at every Thai restaurant (Pad Kee Mao or Pad See Ew) & the flavors were perfection. Good portion of food. They open till 930 so I could definitely see myself returning for dinner or getting takeout. Atmosphere is spacious, cute family dining style. Many sculptures & dim lights. Really cute spot."
"With the recent cold front, my girlfriend and I were really craving a warm bowl of soup. She mentioned wanting to go to Ishin and I had never had authentic Udon so we decided to head over for dinner. There are a lot of good-looking, busy restaurants in this strip so it was a little challenging to find parking, but we eventually found a spot far down from the door. The lighting, decor, and overall ambiance of the restaurant were overall very warm and cozy. It seemed relatively busy and while the place was relatively full we were seated immediately and the wait staff were very friendly throughout our time there.Since this was my first time having udon, it took me a second to look through the menu because everything looked and sounded amazing. Eventually, we decided to start off with the takoyaki which came out hot and was delicious. The filling had the perfect ratio of octopus to sauce. Next, we ordered our main courses, she had the sukiyaki udon and I had the kitsune udon but I wanted some sort of meat so I got a side order of chashu. The broth in both of the soups was incredibly flavorful and rich and just what we were looking for. We finished the meal off with the banana tempura which was the perfect way to end the the meal.Even though this was my first time trying Udon Ishin made a very good first impression on me and although it seems very authentic I think the menu, staff, and atmosphere make this a very approachable spot for anyone to try. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Ishin and I am excited to return and try a few more of their dishes in the near future!"
"We were in the area visiting a farmers market and a half price books, the book store was better. After this foodies must refuel and maybe try another new eatery. Pho Dien 1960 had rave reviews and this will be another one. They have a small, medium and large version of their stellar pho. My wife enjoyed and shared a small bowl of chicken pho ga with rice and noodles. I need to see if I can get a small bowl next time and steal some of the broth, dipping my pork banh mi into the pho broth makes a tasty Sammy even better...and I don't drip as much across the table. We also shared a couple fried egg rolls. I had a fried egg added to my pork banh mi. I also enjoyed a Vietnamese iced coffee. Friendly people and great food."
"I have to take back my previous words immediately. This place was SO good. I'm not sure why my first visit was not great, but this time, Shabu Squared knocked it out of the park for me. Our super helpful waiter might have had something to do with it; he was extremely knowledgeable and came by frequently to check in on us and even taught us how to eat each meat with each sauce. I would even say this is better than another shabu spot with a very similar name...The meat quality was insane, and the veggie platter is so worth it! We ordered two meats and a veggie platter and it was more than enough food for three people. The broth was also really delicious this time, and I kept drinking it on its own. The establishment is super clean, and our bill wasn't too expensive. I can't wait to come back here again, and I'm really glad I visited to change my previous opinion."
"I do not have a mission to try every "Banh Mi" place in this city and this place is more pho than sammy, and I think they open more new ones for every one I check off....That being said the pho my wife got was tasty, she got the combo #2, chicken noodle pho with a drink and two fried eggrolls, I almost didn't get to try the soup/broth, she liked it that much. I got and enjoyed a grilled pork banh mi and some fried egg rolls. The pork was a little too chewy in a few spots, deducting one star 'cause there were a few pieces I couldn't disassemble, the egg rolls were great. I loved my iced Viet style coffee, they bring a small drip coffee filter sitting on a cup with condensed milk in it, it sits on the cup for a few minutes, a smart person would figure out that stirring well before pouring it over ice cubes would achieve optimum results.....oh well, still came out tasty, the gentleman that waited on us asked if I wanted it strong....yes please! We'll be back."
"Big portions, especially for the price! Service was super quick; food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Broth was flavorful, and meat was very tender. Noodles were okay; could have been cooked a tiny bit longer. Would recommend!"
"Great pho, nice service, and very relaxed ambiance. This is the place to go for an authentic, tasty bowl of pho."

This has been my go to pho spot for over a decade plus. I appreciate the consistency and the broth is just very comforting and nostalgic for me. The service is fairly quick for pho to come out. The egg rolls may take a bit longer depending on how busy they are but not bad. Although this last trip they completely forgot our egg roll order sadly but life goes on. I've ordered here through door dash when desperate and can't get out the house but it doesn't taste the same as dining in. The ambiance is cozy and reminiscent of late 90s for me. I don't think much has changed and it's what I appreciate. It looks like they have new menus now and not the flip spiral booklet so that's exciting to not have to flip through. The parking in the plaza can get a bit busy but there is an upstairs you can park in as well.

Woo hoo!! Authentic gumbo , crawfish Etoufe, burgers and more! We didn't have room to try the catfish but I bet it's something else! If you're in the area, and you enjoy real Cajun cuisine, this place is for you. Emeril would be proud!

Friendly staff as soon as you walk in! I took a look at the menu and everything was decently price. My sandwich was only about $6.This restaurant is located in a plaza with a Kroger Grocery store. It's so cute inside HOWEVER I ordered my food to go. My order was ready in 10 minutes. Great Vietnamese flavors!Next time I'm in Texas, I'll be visiting this place again.

PURCHASED· Banh Mi Dac Biet (i.e., the most common banh mi, which includes most ingredients--It translates to "special" banh mi." COSTS· ~$5 (I could be wrong) POSITIVE· Nothing beats some authentic banh mi in Houston, Texas. (I live in NYC so it's difficult to find good Vietnamese food.) · There's a hot lady working the cash register. I exchanged a bit with her while checking out. NEGATIVE· Nothing. IMPRESSION· Great spot I miss Houston Vietnamese food :(

Solid thai food for the area. Thai tea is good but expensive. The spicy cat fish is really good. Everything else is pretty standard.

"We went for lunch The staff were friendly, and made some great recommendations. Great service. Clean location. The sushi was very, very good."
"Not bad. Doesn't seem to be Asian owned but they provided surprisingly traditional flavorful Vietnamese food. Located in a plaza, there were plenty of parking available. We ordered two bowls of pho and when brought out, they were a nice large size. My eye round steak was cooked a little too long. Might have been easier if the eye round steak was rare on the side. We had no issues and had a nice quiet meal here."
"Everyone had the same idea, to get pho on a cool evening. I went inside and it was really busy. I'm getting a Tai Nam Gau pho. According to the menu that means it has round steak, flank steak, and fatty brisket - how can this be bad!! The table is laden with Sriracha, chili paste and chili oil. It just keeps getting better. Now to get the waiters attention to place the order. The poor guys running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He told me it's gonna be a little while. Ok, the orders been placed and the food came out pretty quickly.Tasty!! I'm coming back!! It was worth the wait!! The food is amazing!!"
"The service was attentive and quick. I had beef vermicelli and the hubs had shrimp pho. We shared spring rolls. With my vermicelli I also received an egg roll and a shrimp sugarcane roll (maybe not called a roll but anyhow...). The beef was super flavorful and tender. Really good flavor. I did need to use some of my husbands broth because the noodles have zero sauce on them at all. I guess I was expecting something on them so they weren't just a clump of noodles. That being said, with a little broth they were really nice. I definitely prefer the spring rolls to the egg roll. The spring rolls are crunchy and flavorful but the egg roll lacked a crunchiness and felt a little mushy inside. The shrimp sugarcane thing was ok. Probably an acquired taste. The vegetables in my vermicelli bowl were super fresh and crunchy. Overall I really liked the beef vermicelli bowl...with a bit of broth. It was light and satisfying. The shrimp pho was good. The shrimp were nice and big and nicely cooked. I had hot tea, as well. It was fresh and hit the spot. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. If you're in Rosenberg, give them a try. You won't regret it."
"You've got to have respect for the pho shops that have one person cooking, cleaning, and answering phones all at the same time! The pho broth here is very flavorful, and the meat cuts are actually pretty good. I'm not usually one to favor brisket over the usual rare steak or meatballs, but my husband and I both agreed the brisket here is particularly delicious. We also got the fried egg rolls, which were a little oily but SO tasty and crispy. The chef is so nice and so friendly! She was all laughs and smiles while cooking and serving tables by herself. There was a little bit of a language barrier but she was just the sweetest! You can tell she makes her food with love; the pho tastes like it was homemade, and I mean that in the best way possible. It is a tad pricier than other pho places, but we expected that since it has such a convenient location right off I-10. For the homemade taste and the great service, I'd say it's worth it. We will definitely be back!"
"How can this place have such a low rating? I love the food here. So delicious and satisfying, and the service is unparalleled. I come here everytime I'm in town.I got the art car curry which packs a punch. I didn't want tofu so they substituted broccoli for me ^.^ no rice and substituted soba noodles. I absolutely love the dream rolls, ginger chicken, and Scotty steak salad. They have the BEST peanut sauce! I could literally drink a liter of that goodness!"
"Ordered Togo chicken soup. It was packed beautifully. And we just heated and mix them all. To say the least, the soup taste so good. It was so refreshing and the service was very quick. I got a large soup and the quantity was immensely huge."
"Pho what it's worth, we love this Viet place. We loved their sandwiches and Barbi likes their spring rolls and their food is good too. Another great Vietnamese Restaurant in Houston area, and there's so much amazing competition, but so few of them ever disappoint. Maybe we don't have high standards, but we think we do and we think it's an excellent choice."
"Great spot to get a banh mi in Houston! I've ordered lunch from here a few times and it's consistently delicious, and we also had a good experience dining in for the first time recently. My go-to order is the grilled pork banh mi, which comes with jalapeños, cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro, soy sauce, and garlic aioli. The pork is super flavorful, and the garlic aioli compliments it so well along with the crisp cucumbers."
"We came here for lunch on a Sunday and there were a few other parties there. Parking was easy right in front in the shared strip mall lot. We picked what table we wanted to sit at and looked over the menu, which was all in english. It was easy to understand and I loved that there was a kids section with pho sized just for them.We for them both the kids pho and was able to request no veggies or onions. The food came out in a fair amount of time and my pho tai was pretty good. I got the large and thought it would be a bit bigger, but for the price, was a good size. The broth was a bit oily and flavorful. The service was good and I went up and paid at the front when we were done."
"Great food and service most of the time! Most of the pho dishes are good, the Vietnamese eggrolls and spring rolls are great. Refills of tea and water are slow or nonexistent. The owner and son are really friendly. It is a must eat except on Sundays from 12-3 when church lets out."
"So we've driven by this spot multiple times and never noticed what that building was. Located at the corner of Bunker Hill and Long Point, this restaurant is a small nondescript building in a semi run down shopping plaza on Long Point. The interior is a very 90's / early 00's style but I do appreciate the hole in the wall feel and authenticity to not overly appeal to the millennials. We got the basil noodles with pork and pad Thai with chicken. I really enjoyed the pad Thai though it was a little bit on the sweet side. The basil noodles were good but I do prefer the pad see ew from some other Thai spots in terms of flavor. Overall, I think it's a great spot for takeout in the area and it's priced very fairly for 2023!"
"Starting a new job in a new location means new places to try! I've been frequenting Pho Hang & Grill about once a week. There's a variety of Vietnamese dishes that you can order besides pho, including rice, vermicelli, noodles, etc. They also serve bun bo hue here, which is usually what I get. You don't get the typical meat cuts like oxtail, hock, or even blood. Honestly, that works out for me as I am not as adventurous in that department. The broth is actually very spicy, my nose is running by the end! Overall, I do want to come back and try the pho."
"The food is top notch. I haven't eaten in restaurant in a long time but I remember the service being really good. The to go food is really good."
"Creative, authentic, unique and beautifully plated. Baan Thai so far the BEST Thai food in the area. You won't be disappointed! Also, reasonably priced and the customers service is great."
"This place is great! Very friendly service, and they are quick to pick up finished dishes. I ordered #15 raw round eye. The broth was so flavorful!!! The meat was perfect. Great bowl of Phó. I also ordered the fried #1 Vietnamese egg rolls. They were good. Pretty big so if you are eating alone, go with the half order."
"This is a great lunch spot. The food is delicious and cooked to order. I frequent here for lunch to go and sit down. Either way they take care of you and you get satisfaction"
"We happened to be nearby and stopped in based on other Yelp reviews. They were certainly correct! Staff were very friendly and very efficient. New England Clam chowder was spot on, and that is coming from a New Englander. Reuben sandwich was very good and on excellent bread. Would love to see a 1000 island option available but nonetheless it was excellent."
"They are either excellent or mediocre and the inconsistency has made us look for other locations. The problem is that at times their soups are dishwater and others delicious and delectable. We spoke with the staff but they are not consistent enough for us to use this place as a regular. Sad"
