Montesano Bros Restaurant & Catering

We hosted a birthday party this past weekend and Montesano catered it. Completely flawless!! From the planning with Vinny to the delivery, set up and service it was perfect. The food was delicious and our guests raved all night. Kelly was our server and she was perfect. HIGHLY recommend and will use them again. Thanks Montesano Bros for a great experience.

Probably ordered grinders that were outside of their wheel house. Roast pork, broccoli rabe, and provolone grinder is not supposed to be sliced pork but while roast pork if it's to be authentic Italian representative of the Philadelphia area. The Montesano Brothers hoagie was light on the deli meats and all hoagies were way too pricey to be stingy on the contents. The chickens and peppers wasn't terrible but it needed more seasoning and salt (which I don't ever say) to be appetizing. My husband said his geeel slaw was good with ample chicken added but still felt that it wasn't commensurate with the price. Our guests are the meatball hoagie and said is was "good" so I can't say whether it was but with all the meatball subject matter experts I've encountered, I know meatballs are subjective. They clearly do a killer business bc of where they are located within a business park and bc so many people are transplants (I'm native to the area), they have no idea it's not authentic If you go to south Philadelphia and sample the same hoagies and grinders there , you will understand what I'm saying. It's certainly better than fast food and yo I can sit at the bar and have a glass of wine or beer with your lunch but if you're looking for an authentic experience that's worth the investment, I would go elsewhere.

AMAZING sandwiches and one of my favorite places to grab a bite. It he bread is lively and chewy, the meats are fresh and sliced to perfection, and there are so many delicious options on the menu that the hardest decision will be which ones to pick up. The hoagies are filled with meat, offer incredibly generous portions and are consistently excellent. I would say that you can easily split a sandwich and be stuffed, or feed a party of four with two or three sandwiches. Variety is the spice of life, and there is no shortage of spices at the shop. Honestly, this is my favorite sandwich shop in all of Chester County.I love The Montesano Special, The Dominooch and The Turkey Special, but you really can't go wrong with any sandwich - with or without meat, hot or cold. The Cheesesteak Eggrolls, soups and salads are also fantastic. The location is somewhat hidden off route 100 but is easy enough to find if you use your GPS. There is limited indoor dining, similar to a small bar. There is additional seating outside, making it a wonderful spot during the warmer months. The ambience is really quaint with a rustic, European-esque vibe to it. Outside, you'll find yourself surrounded by some Vegetable growth and picnic tables, making it a very enjoyable spot to grab a meal. This location strikes a nice balance between being slightly more upscale than your typical sandwich, shop or bar, but not so upscale that you don't feel comfortable showing up in a T-shirt and shorts.The service is always friendly, attentive, and pleasant. They're happy to make suggestions and answer any questions that you have. Please keep in mind that this is not fast food, so it may take a few minutes to make your sandwich, especially if you're ordering a hot sandwich. However, the wait is more than worth it. If you've never been here, I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a shot.

I grabbed a turkey hoagie and Diablo fries with a can of soda. Came to $23. Fries were on point but I've had much better hoagie's. The turkey needs to have some spices added to it.

Possibly the best meatballs on the planet (sorry mom). you will not be disappointed by the quality of this place, it's special and a Chester County institution.

This spot is kind of tucked away off 100. I feel like it gets hidden by Starbucks and Stables. It's a nice little spot when you get to it. Friendly workers and fresh food. It's a little pricey but the quality usually matches that. I've been here a couple times to see their piano player, Dan, who is there almost every Friday for lunch. Stop by for a bite and listen!

Always good service and great food. Nice little place to swing by for lunch and grab a sandwich from their terrific selection.

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal a couple nights ago with Vinny Montesano providing the catering. We had used Montesano for a number of special family events in the past for 50 to 100 people. Once again, Montesano was really special. Most importantly, their food is really tasty- from the salmon, sausage, chicken parm, ziti, pulled pork- high quality and scrumptious. Service and support is just as important- when you have a large crowd showing up to eat, you can count on Montesano to deliver reliably and with a friendly staff. Highly recommend them!

Very good Italian food very nice outside eating area. Recommend sticking to the Italian food on the menu. Mom and pop restaurant. Four stars only because they don't take special instructions on their food preparation such as toasting my roll on my chicken salad sandwich (like every other restaurant in the area would do) . I had to take it home myself and toast it.

Best lunch place around-from their overstuffed sandwiches to their gargantuan salads (more than leafy green lettuce!!)-they have nice indoor seating but I prefer the outdoor seating! If you want a beer during lunch, you can grab a local one from the tap and sit at the small bar or take it yourself your table. Caring staff and locally minded!! Great way to support a small business!!
