"A great spot in the city with good food and amazing service! The service honestly stood out the most!My bf and I dined here the other night for restaurant week. It didn't seem packed, but we were seated upstairs rather than the "patio" section. Upstairs was just a bit cramped with the women's restroom. For the first course, we ordered the hipster meatballs and butcher wedge. Both had a beautiful presentation and tasted great. I'm sure the regular meatballs would've been better, but the hipster version was still flavorful! For the second course, we ordered the braised short rib Cavatelli and the grilled Denver steak. The pasta dish was heavy, plentiful and delicious. I loved the light sauce and the noodles were chewy. My steak was a bit too chewy for me. We weren't the biggest fan of the steak itself, but we were fans of the chimichurri and side veggies. For the last course, we ordered the mousse and bread pudding. Unfortunately, we were running late for a show so had to get dessert to go. When we did eat it back home, the bread pudding wasn't warm and the mousse wasn't cold. The bread pudding did not include the ice cream for obvious reasons. It was still good but I know it would've been better if we ate it there. This was a great choice for restaurant week and a place I'd recommend!"
"It was my first time here and it was for a company function. The service was impeccable from the hostess station to the servers to the bussers. I had the braised salmon, and it was fork tender and so flavorful. We had a variety of sides for the group. I heard high praise for the crème brulee corn, the asparagus, and scalloped potatoes. I also had the Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake suggested by the server and she was right, it was amazing. It is located across the street from South Park Mall, it cannot be seen from the road. It is in the APEX. Snooze AM eatery is on the corner as location reference. And as others have mentioned it is on the pricier side, but worth it for a memorable evening out.The only "sort of issue" we had, as a group of a certain age, was the lighting. It was very dark and hard to read the menu. We dined around 6pm all the windows were covered; they raised the blinds around 9pm when we were leaving."
"Long over due review!Top notch from first knock to finish! Always love the concept of secret places lol... but knocking to be let in is fun. Make sure to try and make reservations because a few people were turned away while we were waiting! The whole place is a vibe in itself. Loved the decor... the bookshelf.. and the bar area. We were seated at the bar. Always nice making conversation with the bar tender and asking for their opinion on what to get. Lots of great cocktails. The food is pretty good! Started with the bone marrow... only wish there was more! I went with the Beef Wellington, probably a tad under seasoned but still good.. and it was A LOT! Husband went with the lamb, which he said was just ok seasoned. He was a little bummed but the sides that came at least made up for it! Dessert was the apple pie which was HUGE!I'd definitely come back!Come for the experience, service, food and drinks! You won't regret coming!"
"The cheetah carpet seems tongue-in-cheek when taken with the upscale piano bar atmosphere, excellent pianist, and sophisticated drinks. I had reservations elsewhere and only popped in for a drink but I think I'll be back for the food before long."
"Came to dinner on a Tuesday night with my best friend and we had a fabulous meal!MARCHI:Philly Cheese Steak Spring Rolls, Spicy Homemade Ketchup, Spicy Mayo $15*super crispy, wished it was a little more meaty but loved the dipping saucesINSALATE:Chopped Romaine, Green Beans, Chickpeas, Egg, Tomatoes, Niman Bacon, Blue Cheese $15*like a cobb salad, acted almost like a palate cleanser before our steaksCARNI:16 oz 55 Day Prime Aged Ribeye $70 and added Crab Meat Oscar $27 with extra Bearnaise on the side*the steak was fatty, juicy and tender, everything you want in a ribeye, the crab meat was super chunky and delicious. "This place is really unreal. Not sure I've ever had a better cheesesteak in my life. You can tell the owner is a passionate about what he does and that carries over to his food and staff. Can't wait to come back soon."
"Family box churrasco was a tasty meal for $35. We ordered pick up and it was ready within the hour. Came w:- plenty of RICE (can choose white or yellow; we chose yellow)- BEANS (can choose brown or black; we chose black)- SALAD(can choose chicken, potato or green; we chose green; beets were a nice addition) - MEAT (chicken, sausage and steak; steak was def our favorite esp the fatty thick pieces that held all the flavor though some may feel too salty). We also ordered a side of plantains ($5). All was still hot by time it got home. Nice easy family dinner. Will order again - Thank you :)"

Solid place for a steak and a drink at the bar; professional service and good steak house / bar vibe. There will be some solid Philly boys at the end of the bar having a good night out, a fun couple on the other side of you getting the night started, your drinks will be well made and there is a fine selection of beer if that's your desire, and if someone needs to get tossed the bartenders are good at that too.

I was visiting Philly to celebrate my fiancés birthday. He's a big restaurant critic but totally enjoyed this experience. He gave it 5 stars and said this was by far one of the best steak restaurants he has visited. We will be back!

The location is hidden other than a rose on the door and a doorbell. There is one awkward seating right by the door that we initially got sat at (loud + sun shines on you every time they open the door), but they were quick to move us when we asked to switch spots. Staff was very attentive and polite, and they wrote a hand written card in celebration as well handed with the bill which was sweet.Bone Marrow Toast - one of their highly recommended items that was definitely very goodBeef Tartare was amazing! probably my favorite item I tried that was not expectedCreamed spinach - nice and rich, enjoyableTomahawk steak - nice large piece that is fun to get. It was a little tougher than I expected but still enjoyableBaked Alaska - great for celebrations or experience a little flair with the fire, not amazing but decentAmbiance is dark lit lighting with a library wall. The pictures on the wall and the nonmatching tableware (cups, plates, etc.) make it feel very homey. It was designed to serve nonmatching sets as homage to a family member that collected and served tableware that was not from a set. Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5

Upon my first trip to Philly I opted to stay in the Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square. It's delightful, and located in it's lobby is Rittenhouse Grill.I arrived to my hotel after a day of exploring and thought - it seems time for a martini. Who doesn't love a good steakhouse martini? I sure do. Imagine my surprise and also delight when I discovered they have happy hour from 4:30 - 6:30 Wednesday - Friday and martinis are *drumroll please* $9!!!Never have I seen such a deal in all my happy hour exploration, and trust that this is one of my favorite pastimes. They offer Dirty martinis, cosmos, manhattans and margaritas for $9 and select wines for $8 and select beer for $5. While I had just discovered this amazing deal, it appears Philly knows what's up.Right at 5 pm, the bar got totally packed with people ready to live their best discounted cocktail life. They also have select bites for under $10.The real star of the show tho, seems to be the prime rib. While I did not order it, the seasoned happy hour pros surrounding me all opted for this.It was the best people watching, as RG seems to have its regulars and Adam the friendly bartender seems to have their orders ready on deck. I loved everything about it and will most likely return on my trip. The ambiance is what you'd expect from an old school steak house - dark, cozy and with the possibility of live music as they have a piano.Five star find from me for sure!

We came for a dinner on a Saturday with a reservation and it was definitely packed at 7:45 with even the seats at the bar full. Our server was very attentive and friendly so adding a star for her. We ordered the cowboy ribeye (medium rare), grilled veal tomahawk (medium rare), lobster risotto, chopped salad, truffle risotto, and goat cheese puffs. It did take about 75 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering and the veal tomahawk came out very well-done vs medium rare. The other dishes were very solid and the ribeye was particularly flavorful. The manager did come out to apologize and removed the tomahawk from our check as well as comp our dessert for the wait (and offered to provide us with other food as well) which was very kind. Honestly, the staff here are great and the food itself, for the most part, was quite solid. I'm hoping that it was just an "off cover" for them tonight as it's a beautiful venue with a good customer-facing team and solid fare. The kitchen looked quite lean for the sheer volume of diners and takeout orders. It is a good option for a special occassion (we saw many of them) and we would be willing to try it again (and maybe on a less packed night).

This is an absolute gem of a place located right by Logan Square / City Hall owned by Scott who's a judge by day and chef by night. The phenomenal cheesesteaks paired with wonderful service here had me coming back twice in the span of 5 days while I was in Philly! On my first visit here, my fiance and I stumbled upon this place a stone's throw from our hotel and were greeted by Scott outside of the restaurant. He proceeded to give us a full run-down of Shay's Steaks, and he was truly such a personable individual who makes you feel right at home. We ordered one NY strip cheesesteak to split, and it was hands down the best cheesesteak I've had. The meat is fresh (never frozen) and high quality, the bread has a crisp on the outside and is soft on the inside, and all the flavors just came together perfectly.I ended up getting a few of my friends to come here a few days later to experience these cheesesteaks with me, and the food was just as good as the first time. Scott was also whipping up some fries that he was testing, so he gave us a few to try during our meal! All in all, I don't know when I'll next be back in Philly but I know I'm making a stop here when I do :)

I was told about this place from a friend & Ive been hooked every since. I normally get takeout, but I have sat inside as well. They don't walk around w meat like other steakhouses. The flavor is good on the meats nonetheless thats all that really matters. The salad bar has some good options as well. I get the same items rice, sweet plantains, fresh salad, & chicken salad. Im a forever customer Ps once they had guacamole which I loved but I haven't seen it again :(

Luke and Glen were the tag team of a lifetime. They not only served a very happy "birthday night out" for us, they also assisted a table of 10 rowdy executive types across from the way. They ordered what seemed like the ENTIRE restaurant. With that said, the tag team did not skip a beat. every table the served above and beyond, including ours. Dinner was lovely, (although I should seriously stop ordering calamari anywhere. It's always so oily). Not their fault, I just set my expectations too high. The drinks were spot on! Thanks again to Luke for making the "peach drink" that knocked my sister out of her chair. It was a great price point for such a nice evening. Ample parking. Very spacious. Very clean. It felt family & romantic friendly. Gals, friends, boys, whatever, whoever night out perfect. I'll be back, and next time I'll get the Delmonico that I am now dreaming about.

"This restaurant is upscale and intimate. The light is dim, very romantic setting. Perfect for a date or special occasion celebration. Our waiter was super enthusiastic and friendly. He recommended dry-aged Delmonico steak and brussel sprouts as appetizers. He was absolutely right. I ordered both of them and they are outstanding.Brussel sprouts were charred but not bitter. It was served with hot peppers so it has some kick to it.I asked for a medium rare steak and it was the way I liked. It's huge with big and crunchy onion rings on top. Highly recommended.Dessert: he recommended crème brûlée and brownie sundae. I wanted to be a bit " healthy " so I picked carrot cake The carrot cake had thin icing so it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. It's ok. Not memorable.I tried my husband's brownie sundae and it's delicious. The brownie was served with ice cream and whipped cream."
"I ordered Door Dash from Masami and got to try the avocado salad, valentine roll, pork gyoza, spicy girl roll, and godzilla roll.Every single thing I ate was delicious, but I can't stop dreaming about the godzilla roll. It was deep fried (which usually isn't my thing) with tuna and avocado, but the sauces that were put on it were just impeccable. I will definitely be getting two godzilla rolls in the future. The spicy girl roll was surprisingly not as spicy as I would have liked! But it was still delisious. The valentine roll was my husband's order, but I had one and it tasted fresh and full of tuna, which was the idea. The avocado salad was filled with lots of avocado and the dressing was perfect. This might just be our new go-to sushi restaurant! I can't say anything negative about anything I ate."
"Been a while..........I love ribs and Ribs R Us did not disappoint me. They were very tender and juicy, but I found the sauce to be a little bit too watery for my taste.I got good value for my money, ordering a half slab of ribs, a side of collard greens, candied yams and large side of potato salad, all for around $18 bucks. I ate off the delicious food platter all day long.Service wasn't the greatest, but having called my order in enabled me to get in and out real quickly. I have eaten from here a few times and I found Ribs R us to be very consistent."
"Ordered online for pickup. Luckily was able to find parking. Ordered a lunch special - cheesesteak wrap that came with fries and a soda. Very good."
"Came here for lunch today because of their selection of vegan sandwiches. As a non vegan, I opted for the Hippie Chic with bacon jam, chopped chicken, goat cheese and arugula. I was expecting the chicken to be chopped more but it was still quite tasty. The bacon jam was pretty sweet but the peppery arugula and creamy goat cheese helped balance it out. I had high hopes for the fried pickles since they have a bunch of pickles on the menu, but they were just okay (I personally prefer breaded vs battered). The fries and tots were decent. The vegan sandwiches were delicious as well. Service was fast and friendly. But keep in mind they are cash only!! There's an ATM on site for you"
"We order sushi from this place on occasion and it is absolutely fantastic. We enjoy the variety of rolls offered and the freshness of all the ingredients. It's also nice to know they have a nice variety of cooked items too for when we order for company who are not big sushi fans. My fave is the Valentine Roll and the Mango Shrimp roll. And you cannot go wrong with the classic Oshinko. All are delish. Prices are higher for specialty rolls but you are guaranteed good quality and fast service."
"For the last 2 years while I slowly progressed into a couch potato. I've watched Japanese street food vids on YT. I'm all about the culture. Hope to visit Dobuita one day. As such, I've been on the journey for legit cuisine. This place checked out. I really enjoyed the springrolls and my Ramen. Service was excellent, although we were the only ones in the restaurant. Even still - decent service. Ambiance is ok for what it is. I mean, you're in a mini strip mall. Its nothing too elaborate or fancy but it works. I really enjoyed the music. I was also surprised at how quiet it was inside. No street noise at all. Castor ave is a steady stream of people and cars - heard nothing but the music of Japan. They really did an amazing job bringing Japanese cuisine to the NE. I wish nothing but the best to the owners and chef. I'll be back again soon."
"This place is a consistent hit. I love it here. The cheesesteak wrap is the best in the city. I will def return."
