"First time in Philly. I have a client who's born and raised here. I asked her where I should get a cheesesteak since I was only in town one night...Pat's or Geno's she said neither. Dalessandro's was her recommendation. She said it was the best in town. I got a mushroom steak with American cheese and Whiz and I added sweet and hot peppers, a little mayo and sautéed onions. It was the best cheesesteak I've ever had in my life! I also enjoyed a delicious Hanks, orange cream soda to go with it. Loved it! My wife ordered a pepper cheesesteak with onions, the sharp provolone and mayo. She did not get the sweet peppers that she ordered. She felt that her sandwich was pretty bland and she was disappointed. I offered her a few bites of my sandwich which she loved and regretfully stated that is what she should've ordered because her sandwich was very bland."
"So the Philly Cheesesteak is one of my favorite sandwiches so when we decided to come to Philly for the first time, well I knew we were going to have a couple. Maybe more!! We came to Pat's knowing Geno's was across the street. And of course, I had to try both. My wife jumped into line and sent me across the street. When i asked what time of cheese she told me to get provolone. So imagine when I get back and her sandwich from Pat's has cheese whiz! Wait, what? Like cheese whiz out of a can. I guess the answer is yes but not the aerosol can we used to put in our mouths. Oh stop, you did too do it.I will say the traditional cheese whiz method was so much better. ORDER WITH THE CHEESE WHIZ! I have to say that this is so different than the style of Philly cheesesteaks I have grown up eating. I'm not saying it's better or worse and I certainly won't say it in Philly. The seating we had was metal picnic tables with bench seats outside.Oh, my wife came back with like three sodas: root beer, cherry and what i think was root beer with cherry soda mixed. I'm not much of a soda guy but I did taste them. OK!I did NOT and will not say which was better but I will say we were still a little hungry so we ordered another from Pat's with the whiz. I can't believe I'm actually writing that."

"CASH Only, 2 ATM available inside the store. My first visit to Jim's after 13 years. In between this time, they went thru an unfortunate fire accident and subsequent renovation, and now the place looks amazing. They incorporated the artifacts of Magic garden (walls made out of recycled goods), it's so unique and beautiful on the second floor. I must say it looks so much more attractive as a touristy spot now, compared to 2011.It's still really popular with the tourists. We had to get in line outside the store, took us about 15 minutes to get in front of the cook. It's pretty incredible to see all those huge amount of steak laying on the grille. Got whiz with onions and peppers. Quality cheesesteak, soft bread, dripping cheese and very thinly shredded steak. I liked it much more than Geno's. If anyone ask me, I'd tell them to go to Jim's than any other cheesesteak place in Philadelphia."
"After returning to this establishment in many years... it's still the best. Can't say enough about JRP. Just get the cheesesteak; nothing else needs to be said! (Please refer to my previous review)"
"What is this, a spite store?! Of all the locations in Philly, Gino's had to open across the street to a place with their title being the "King" of steaks?! I can picture in the business meeting:Let's make our cheesesteaks a dollar less AND accept credit cards! We'll stick it to old man Pat! HahaHey, if you want a cheesesteak then you've come to the right neighborhood. Ginos is like the cola wars, either you like Pepsi or Coke. These options are good to have in the world according to me. And I'm sure there are people like myself who bought from both locations and had a taste test. I did like the packaging from Ginos. The cheesesteak, once again Gynormas! You can feed a family with this sandwich. Me personally? I thought the meat was a little less seasoned than the other spot.Overall, it's a clean spot that accepts credit cards and is a dollar cheaper. There are tables outside if you wish to enjoy your cheesesteak. PS - the Italian market in Rocky II is around the corner."
"I'd heard such good things about this place that I had to visit the next time I was in Philly. We arrived around lunchtime on a Sunday, and there weren't that many people there surprisingly. It's quite small, only a couple of tables for two inside. You can also order online and pick it up if you're in a rush!I'm actually not a big cheesesteak person, but my boyfriend had to get it. I took a bite, and it tasted surprisingly light? The truffle flavor was pretty strong - this is not your typical cheesesteak. It's hard to compare with all the other famous cheesesteak places in Philly because it's so different! Now the Italian sandwich is what I really want to talk about. I've honestly been thinking about this sandwich ever since I had it. I would say this is a step up from your typical Italian sandwich as well. All the ingredients went together perfectly, and the herb mayo made such a difference. This is probably the best Italian sandwich I've ever had, and I wish we had this sandwich in NY. I'm definitely coming here again next time I'm in Philly!Tip: We brought our sandwiches into the stadium for the Phillies game. It was so much better than settling for overpriced, boring stadium food!"
"It is an excellent place for burgers, cheesesteaks, and fries! I like their burger a lot; it always comes out how I want it. Also, for my pickle lovers, you will love it here because they have a pickle bar. There are booths on the left/right side of the restaurant and a long table in the middle, which can accommodate large groups. It is located in a busy corner of Frankford and can get a little busy at night/weekends. Their service is not fast, so if you're starving, then you might get a little hangry."
"Great service, and great food! I'm late with this review, regarding my visit a month ago, but this is my go-to for the best cheesesteak sandwich in Philadelphia. Juicy, messy, yummy, cheesy, bomb-diggy and definitely memorable. I went in the hungry, thinking that I could destroy the entire sandwich. It's huge and half was enough. Just so you know, there are many other options, and there's no frills, well stocked delicatessen. Many many many moons ago, someone brought me a sandwich from Cosme's, but I could never remember the name, but the impression the sandwich left was epic! I am happy to have found my white whale! Skip the tourist traps and get over to Cosmi's!"
"My first time eating a Philly Cheese Steak in Philadelphia! Personally, I did not order from Chubby's Steak or have any sort of interaction with the business. My friends went over to order two Cheese Steaks for us to share. It didn't appear to be that busy at Chubby's Steaks since you are able to go inside to order. Also, my friends were able to get the sandwiches a lot faster in comparison to Dalessandro's Steaks & Hoagies. By the time they walked over and started eating the sandwiches, we were still waiting for my boyfriend to pay and receive the two sandwiches from Dalessandro's Steaks & Hoagies. If I had to choose between Chubby's Steaks and Dalessandro's Steaks & Hoagies, I would recommend ordering a Cheese Steak from Chubby's Steaks. The Cheese Steak had more flavor to it. I believe the cheese on the sandwich enhanced the flavors of the steak. In terms of presentation and packaging, it could be better, but it was sufficient. Chubby's Steaks has a small parking lot on site. We didn't use it since we weren't aware, and just found street parking across the street from the establishment."
"Came here with some family because my brother lives in this neighborhood. I am a vegetarian and got a veggie burger here. This is a veggie burger, not fake meat (so no beyond or impossible). Honestly, this was just wasn't too my taste and I probably won't be back. The veggie burger just wasn't that good and fell apart. I would prefer beyond or impossible. It was also annoying that my burger took a lot longer than the regular burger. Just not my favorite. My family seemed to love the regular burger."
"We found this no frills, small kabob restaurant off the highway on one of our road trips to DC when we pulled over for gas. If you know about kabob spots, you know little spots like this pack that flavor! We decided on the Chicken Tika and Beef Kofta With rice as well as the Chicken Tika which wasn't on the menu but they were kind enough to accommodate since the wife doesn't eat beef. Our meals were wonderful, as expected. The spices were perfect and our dishes came with two different types of rice. The most memorable to me was the cilantro rice. As a Latina who loves cilantro, I've never had rice like this. It was sooo flavorful!! Overall, the service and food were delish!! We'll always stop here on our trips if we pass through Delaware."
"Classic cheesesteak joint on the corner in a seedy neighborhood, gotta love Philly! Maybe if I didn't know any better, this place would receive more stars, but we're looking at is pretty average stuff here. Shaved ribeye isn't too thick and certainly not chopped. Therefore, NO MELT! Fail! Now maybe if the meat had a flavor that could stand-out on its own, we could allow this to pass, but this is only a step or two above boxed frozen crap from the supermarket. Not enough salt and just an average meaty taste. Some of the onions were cooked perfectly while some were nearly raw. The difference in textures was distracting and raw onion is not as good as cooked. Mayo was available in a self-serve condiment pump can and was absolutely disgusting. DO NOT use this mayo, it will ruin anything it touches. Free hot peppers always recommended. There are two windows for ordering, and you need to know which one to go to to order steaks or side orders. Luckily, this rookie rolled up to the correct window by accident, and was able to figure out the process by watching others make mistakes and then get corrected by all the pros who were there waiting for their steaks and fried foods near their respective windows. For a cheesesteak place that's open 24 hours, it's a nice location off the highway and not a bad option. Just not going to be one of my regular stops."

Ever since I saw the episode of "Somebody Feed Phil," where Rosenthal rode up to Dalessandro's on horseback, I thought 'if I ever have cheesesteak -- (I'd never had one before) -- that's where I want to go.'Well, today was the day. My husband thought it was delish. And me? I'll stick to Chinese takeout. No slight to Dalessandro's. I'm guessing cheesesteak isn't my bag. A foodie friend from Philly said that Dalessandro's is amongst the best. So please, if you're curious by all means give 'em a try. And be patient. Lines can be long -- again, the place is famous -- and remember, cash only.

Very fast service!! So fast they didn't give me the mushroom cheesesteak I ordered. It's a legendary place. There are many better cheesesteak restaurants. However, their hot dog was the best my or I have EVER had! I would love to know where they source the meat from! Delicious!

I met a few locals last night and asked them this question. Where can I get the best Phili Cheese Steak? I did not know that question would bring up a passionate conversation between the two locals. They are serious about their choices! After they cooled down they agreed they would give me directions to Jim's South Street. I walked half a mile through town to get a shot to eat my first cheese steak and judge for myself if this was truly a good sandwich. I finally arrived and long line had formed coming from inside and around the corner. I could smell the cooking beef steak and onions coming out the front door and onto the road. When it was my turn to order I ordered a cheese, onions, tomatoes, and chili pepper Phili Cheese Steak. The thinly slices of beef steak were tender and the melted cheese was delicious! The addition of chili peppers put it over the top! Now I know why this place has won the "Best of Philly," and countless "best of/favorite/people's choice" awards. Thank you kind locals for the tip but I'm sorry for starting an argument. lol.

Hands down the best cheesesteak I ever had. The quality of the meat used in the sandwich by itself is excellent. There's a sweetness to the meat if that is possible. The choice of cheese worked and gave the sandwich that creamy taste and texture.I also ordered the roast pork sandwich. My son and I were not as impressed with that as much as the cheese steak. The pepper taste was a bit overpowering and I did not like the spinach. Spinach just does not hold up well in the heat for long especially if the sandwich is going to be wrapped up in aluminum foil. The spinach was borderline slimy and mushy. Broccoli rabe would have been a better choice.

Genos VS Pat:: Did I just eat two cheese steaks in less than one hour? Yes I did, I will be taking no further questions at this time....I was told to come here by my boss (native phillian)..is that even a word; whatever....and try it in comparison to their rival across the street.I freaking wanted to not like it because A) the girl at the counter was SOOO barren of any happiness, literal desolate of any emotions (maybe this is just the character she's playing for this place to be memorable? Lol) whatever the case, and B) it's my Bosses favorite. You got to always agrue with the boss or are you even doing work right??Some would consider me a contrarian if you will, but I like getting down to the honest answer *slams fist on table* and not just believing the hype!Upon first unraveling this was JUICY overflowing with cheese. Listen I already had a whole fucking cheesesteak 15 minutes ago, I was not hungry; Until I saw this. Geno, you won. I didn't want to give it to you!....but you won fair and square. It was amazingly cheesy and the steak was juicy. Goddammit I didn't want this lol. YOU WON OKAY. Probably won't be back in Philly anytime soon but if anyone asks me, I am now able to give my opinion of the old age debate of Pats VS Geno. *shakes fists aggressively in the air*

Cosmo's is pretty much my go-to when I'm in the mood for a hoagie or a cheesesteak. I might explore the rest of their menu at some point, but for now, I'm satisfied with their hoagies and cheesesteaks.

"I've been a fan of Delassandro's for decades. I try to make there every time I am in town. This trip my coworker said I really should try Mama's. So we went there for lunch and I have to say I may have a whole new number one!We got the half or small size which as you can see is huge!! Their bread is probably the best I've had!! The ONLY thing that is keeping me from rating the best is they have a proprietary cheese blend they use. I like a combo of cheese whiz and provolone so I missed that flavor. But make NO mistake this is one outstanding sandwich!!!"
"Great food and prices. Service was great. The pizza was pan like and the cheesesteaks were very tasty."
"Worth the visit! So glad to have met Michael and the family/staff today. Michael was gracious enough to prepare for us one of HIS favorite cheesesteaks HIS way. I really appreciate that!Stop by if you are ever in the neighborhood!"
"This place is the kind of place I want to really like. It's a corner shop run by a husband and wife, and that's it. No pretense. Just a grill and a few refrigerators. Big Joe runs the grill and his wife made the hoagie. (I assumed it was his wife. I didn't ask. My bad if it isn't.)I root for places like this. Maybe it's because I used to work for such a mom and pop place many years ago. But nothing matters if the food isn't good. So here goes. The wife and I split the Special Italian hoagie, which is Prosciutto, Hot Capicola, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Sharp Provolone, Hot Pepper Spread, onion and tomato with oil. I decided to get a small cheesesteak with fried onions to sample. The boy got his chicken fingers because he's 8 and that's what they do. I broke open that cheesesteak in the car first. I wanted to get that taste straight from the grill to be fair. They use Liscio's rolls which is a good start. Their small is basically a half a full sandwich where they cut the roll in half. And then they load up that half with a really good amount of meat. This roll was good and soft, although I usually like it a little crustier. Having it hot right off the grill made the roll come off softer. But it holds together well. The amount of meat gave it a juicy, slightly greasy but not in a bad way feel. I devoured it happily. It's better than the majority of Delco cheesesteaks out there for sure. I opened the hoagie at home and on the first bite I did notice something. The roll seemed to be a little more on the chewy side this time and the crust was a little more defined. With the cold sandwich it just behaves differently. But I liked that. The Special Italian definitely has more flavor than most regular Italians because they're using the spicier meats. That pepper spread had a powerful zing to it that takes it up a notch. This sandwich dances in your mouth. I will say that the provolone didn't come across to me as overly sharp in this mix. The taste of the meat and pepper spread kind of keeps the cheese more subtle here. For me, it definitely sits in the above average category for Delco. My boy gave a thumbs up on his chicken fingers. That's all you need to know there. As you can see by the photo they load up the plate too. Big Joe gives you a lot of food. For me, the hoagie is definitely above average. I've had better ones in my life but the better ones came from places where they were doing things like using crustier rolls that I prefer or using higher end meats. But this sandwich beats a lot of what's out there in this area. You have to be really on your game to beat this sandwich. I put the cheesesteak in the very good category. I've had better but this is on par with a lot of good ones. Now my wife really loved the hoagie. She loves that pepper spread and thought the ratio of everything was perfect. She's digging what Big Joe gave her tonight.Big Joe deserves your attention too."
"I came here because I wanted to add another cheesesteak place to my list. I keep a top ten list of favorite cheesesteaks in Philly. Mainly because I'm a huge geek. But it's fun for me to act like I'm a quasi pseudo expert on this stuff. Here's what it comes down to. This is a decent steak. It had enough meat. It wasn't loaded. But it was just enough. I thought the beef flavor was good and fresh. The roll had the right mix of crust and chewy to it. It probably could have used a little more cheese (I'm an American cheese guy). The onions were thick enough and not overdone. It's a solid, quality sandwich. Nothing about it was overly special to me. As I looked at my list of 10 that I keep in my phone (I know, what a dork), I couldn't put it above any of my top 10. But it might have a case for number 11 if that existed. Consider it an honorable mention. But it's a high level honorable mention."
"First time in Philly visiting from California. Me and some friend wanted to try some authentic philly cheesesteak and this place did not disappoint. Everything came out fresh and hot. All i can say is Wow. I highly recommend this place. The owner was so nice. I like to thank her for the hospitality."
"I got the veggie wrap with cabbage because they ran out of callalloo and it was soooooo good. I've never had a wrap with plantain in it. Great vegetarian/vegan option."
"Quick, meaty, and made to order. I cannot comment on dine-in, however, Barry's Steaks has you covered on take out.I made a quick stop on the way to catch up with friends at Barry's. I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie. I liked how they offered a mini alongside a regular, however, given this trip was my first visit, I opted for a regular. They turned the order around in about 5 minutes and I was on my way. The cheesesteak hoagie delivered a ton of meat alongside the usual hoagie fixings. It tasted great and given the size and price was a good value. Service was friendly, but again I was only in and out in a few minutes.Alongside the usual cheesesteak, hoagie, burger options, they do sell their own soda. These sodas are throwbacks imo with flavors like black cherry, white birch, etc. I'd say they are willing to give as try as well.I cannot say if I'll be dining in at Barry's anytime soon. However, I will be in for take out in the near future."
"My boyfriend and I did a quick stop here to grab Cheesesteaks before leaving Philly. It was an absolutely satisfying stop. The bread was very soft and the perfect texture to soak up all the cheese wiz but not making it soggy. The meat is cooked perfectly, containing its juicy texture and not overcooked. Made sure to add the must have cheese wiz to it and hot peppers to kick it up a notch. Very nice and easy stop and lovely way to end our short visit in Philly."
"I was very impressed by this "pub" food from start-to-finish. My Dad's lamb chops were a perfectly done medium-rare and delicious. My mushroom soup starter balanced a number of key soup parameters and was a worthy SE PA mushroom soup...and was plenty large and served suitably hot. I really liked the Mac 'n cheese but I will add that the sprinkled topping was too salty to eat directly (mixed in it was a fine addition)...and large enough for a small army. Was topped off with the chocolate mousse (not too heavy). Adding to the experience was terrific, attentive service by an unnamed lovely and all the environmentals were great (not too loud despite all the TVs, the perfect temperature, comfortable booth seating). My only complaint is that I ate too much. A decent sized parking lot is across the street."
"This review is for take out. I was looking for a highly rated place for Philly cheese steak nearby and found Tony G's. I picked up their 12" Philly cheese steaks with melted provolone and grilled onions for $11.50 each and also pub style fries and onion rings. Two people can easily share a 12". The cheesesteaks were good and overstuffed; I'd rate them a 4.25 and the fries and onion rings were greasy (as you'd except) and I'd give them 4 stars. Prices were reasonable for the oversized portions. The place itself is an awesome looking dive bar. The type of place locals swear by. I'm sure I'd rate it higher if I had a drink and food onsite. Will have to try it another time. Parking lot and outdoor dining area."
"I honestly think Jack's may be one of the best kept secrets in northeast Philly. I'm still surprised it's taken me so long to find and try this place. If you're looking for a great sandwich with quality ingredients, Jack's is your spot for sure. I ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich and really really enjoyed it (Not my best work in terms of the photo lol - trust me though, the sandwich was amazing). I love a good seeded roll and this one was absolutely delicious - there's nothing like a quality roll. The only thing that would have made it better was more sauce, but that was my fault for not specifying when ordering. Can't wait to go back!"
"Solid steaks. Great bread that's pretty thin and hallowed out so you can taste the meat. Steak has smaller ribbons and has a good juicy bite when you go in. Overall, would come back. They also take credit card."
"Small parking area in front; strong Philly vibe! Extensive cheesesteak options. I went with the "Franky Cheech" (mushroom, fried o's, longhots, aged provolone) on a sesame seeded torpedo, that may have been Liscio's. The shop itself was brightly painted with large sports mural on one wall. Service was equally bright and cheery and patient while I eyed the list of names and descriptions of the steak and cutlet sandwiches. It was still hot when I unwrapped it at the kitchen table. I cut it into quarters to share with lovely bride, squirted a thin stream of ketchup on top and dove in. First bite told the tale. Large load of chopped beef mixed with onions and longhots with cheese across the bottom. It was steamy as I took the plunge; fogging my glasses instantly. Taste was quite good and the ingredients revealed themselves to my tongue. The ketchup did add a nice tartness, even though I knew I was breaking the rules about adulterants. Didn't care. My meal after all. Would definitely run back for another. Surprised the drive was less than 20 minutes."
""Wait, which is the pizzeria everyone loves? Lorenzo's in the Italian Market or Lorenzo & Sons on South Street?""I think it's the one on South.""Oh yeah....Hold on, I'm thinking of Lazaro's on South Street. I'm confused."And so we set out to try them all on a pizza crawl. We shared a cheese slice at each stop in order to pace ourselves. Lorenzo's was our last stop. I don't think I'd ever had their pizza before. After the gargantuan slices oozing with cheese at the other two places, Lorenzo's slice was aesthetically the least impressive. The slice was a reasonable portion--I can't call it small--and was just $2.50. (An XL 18" pie is only $14.)But what it lacked in looks this slice made up for in flavor. We both liked it best of the three. The sauce was the secret weapon. I found something comforting and familiar about it. It wasn't sweet and had more tomato flavor. You could also see the herbs and spices on the slice, which improved the flavor. The crust was a bit thicker than the others but was crispy and good."
"Stoli's is one of the top cheesesteak contenders in the city, they're certainly number one in the Northeast. They use seeded rolls which are phenomenal, the perfect amount of chew and they do well soaking up any juice or cheese. I typically go Cooper with, but occasionally I'll be craving some Whiz and get their American/Whiz with fried onions. They're always good, the staff is phenomenal and typically pretty quick. If I had one critique, they use slightly more black pepper on their steaks than I care for. It's not extreme by any means but it's there. This is a personal thing of mine, but it does not take away from the quality that they're doing."
"We visited Little Italy and stopped at the Visitor Center and asked the lady there where the locals go to eat their Philly Cheesesteaks and she mentioned this place as the place to go to. This is not a sit down restaurant, they have a window where you order your food and then you either take it to go or you find a sidewalk table or bench to have you meal. We chose to go around the corner and just sat at a church stairs and have our lunch. My girlfriend ordered the tripe sandwich and I went with the Philly Cheesesteak. Both sandwiches were unbelievably good. My cheesesteak was so flavorful and cheesy with onions, and my girlfriend essentially said the tripe was similar to the way she makes tripe at home. Bottom line, the next time I go back I will hit this spot again!!"
"The roasted pepper italiano hoagie is amazing. I had been craving an italian hoagie for so long and it was perfect. Sometimes when italian hoagies don't have any veggies it gets a little too salty for me, so the roasted pepper added on was *chef's kiss*The portion size is also great - a "half" size is about your average hoagie size (footlong?) and the whole is enough for 2 people to share, or a really, really, really hungry person. The cheesesteak was also solid and delicious. My out-of-towner friend said it tasted a lot more healthy than he was expecting a cheesesteak to be (I guess he was expecting a greasy mess?). He was also hilariously sassed by calling it a "Philly" cheesesteak.Overall would definitely recommend coming here for a great sandwich. Will need to try other items on the menu."
"Pagano's is one of my favorite cheesesteak spots in Philly. Star ratings here could never really do it justice. I get the feeling that outsiders have always just viewed it as a neighborhood spot that sold darn good cheesesteaks and hoagies. To me is it better than some of the more popular touristy type cheesesteak places? Yes (looking at you Jim's, Pat's, and Geno's). Is it better than some of the very best cheesesteak spots in the City of Brotherly Love? (Ishkabibble's, D'alessandro's) It is hanging right with them. The steak is so flavorful and juicy. Seasoned just right and a lot of meat. Like among the most offered in the city that is also good. My order is "wit with wiz and provolone, add Mayo and ketchup." The cooking is perfect and watching the griddle cooks work is like watching Basquiat paint. I love the Philly straight to the point type service too. Very direct but always with respect. But I buried the lead, the cold hoagies are also on point! My favorite is the tuna hoagie with all the accoutrements. Just so damn good, especially the mayonnaise heavy moist tuna made like how my grandmother use to make (rest her Philadelphia native soul). I only wish that they offered fried fish or griddled salmon "cheesesteaks." The prices are set for us working class folks to truly afford. All the primping and extras are 86'ed to bring an authentic North Philly classic hood (the best of what "hood" means -- family ties, friends, respect, looking out for your neighbors, great food, good times, and uplifting culture) experience. Two lines once inside, one for hot food one for cold hoagies. You can see all your sandwiches being made with is like performance art. Don't pass up the dessert display either. I can certainly afford the prices but not the extra calories of dessert, so I passed. Clean interior (clean griddle too) and hospitable staff...as long as you are not holding up the line. If you need a moment or help, ask precise questions or step back in the line. Regulars know their orders and can get "impatient" if you gum up the works.North Philly stand up. Pagano's slid through and earned five stars. In my D.C. accent asking my Philly college attending son "let go down that Pagano's jawn" is as touristy as ever. But it is our thing. Five stars, easy!!!!"
"Foodchasers Kitchen is a new Black and woman owned cafe at the intersection of Montgomery Avenue and High School Road, Elkins Park, PA. The entrance is on Montgomery, but is elevated above street level overlooking High School Road, with entry on the wooden deck that compensates for the hill on which they cling. There is one large dining room with the cashier down the long hall at the main door. The menu focuses on grits, eggs and a few excellent accompaniments, like fresh salmon, shrimp and homemade turkey sausage. I opted for their breakfast sandwich with eggs, turkey sausage and habanero cheddar cheese in a long roll. Coffee came along for the ride. Their deal is that the order is taken by the cashier when you walk in, before moving to the main room where you seat yourself and await service directly to your table. You can also scan a bar code with your phone and enter the order yourself after providing your name, which is called out when the server is carrying your food into the hall. 1970 -80 Soul music playing the classics fills the room. I looked around and saw others, like me, singing along quietly in our best Blues Soul voices. This was more than just breakfast, it was morning entertainment to get the day started. As I waited, one of the sister-owners walked around offering samples of their Spicy Salmon Sandwich to everyone. It was terrific and I immediately considered changing my order to grab this delight. A little messy from the mayo extruding from within, it was amazing. The fish was fresh, lightly baked/grilled, with their spiced up mayo holding it all together between the halves of a long fresh deli roll. Tremendous creation. I only hoped that my request was done as well. I shouldn't have had a moment of doubt, because the Egg, Turkey Sausage and Habanero was just as delicious, but obviously with a different flavor profile. The eggs were silky smooth, the ground sausage filled the bottom of the roll with a savoriness made by loving hands and secret recipes, and the spicy cheese kicked it all up into something completely unexpected. It was hot and hotter, and smooth and slathered in that same mayo that hinted of sweetness as it lubricated the pipes on the way down. The Java was strong enough and complemented the spiciness of the habanero and mayo. Couldn't stop myself from licking my fingers. All in all, this was a superior breakfast not available in any Philly diner. It was unique and a wonderful morning breakfast tangent to explore, and ultimately fill the belly. Foodchaser Kitchen will likely be another of the best meals of 2022. It was very special."
"Tried the pickle pizza for something a little different and it did not disappoint. Very tasty. This place always has delicious pizza!!!!Quick turnaround time too, I didn't have to wait long at all ! Highly recommend this place !"
"This is more of a convenience store that happens to sell food. It is owned and managed by an Asian family. It is located in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood and is close to the airport. There is a private lot off to the side of the building that the store is located. There is also street parking located within a reasonable walking distance. The staff there was friendly enough, even though my interaction with them was limited. The store has all that you would want in a convenience store including scratch offs, beer, soda, juice, chips, and candy. It appeared very cluttered and dirty. There were boxes all over the floor. You will find a couple of booth tables in the store's small dining area. The booths were in bad shape and I had to weave between some boxes to get to them. It was nice to have the dine in option though because I had caught a bus to get her from my hotel. This place serves burgers, sandwiches, wings, fish, fries hoagies and steak and cheeses. I ordered the Jerk chicken cheesesteak sandwich, with a side of fries. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh and and delicious. It was packed with flavor and there was a ton of food. While I was there, they were receiving a a shipment of drinks, which caused them to leave the front door open. On a normal day this would not have been an issue, but it was a very cold day and I was freezing while I ate in the dining. area. I finished my food quickly to get out of there. This place has some very good food, but the location and cleanliness and order of the place is purely wretched. I was willing to accept that, but some people may not and so this review is just to make you aware."
"May take a while for them to answer the phone, so I use the online ordering system. Usually order Wings & Cheesesteaks from here. Both have been great. The wings are big and meaty and the sauce is on point. They have tons of sauces but I stick with Buffalo and the Cam Newton (Carolina BBQ & Hot Sauce Mixed) Always great for the games. Just sucks they do not open until 1PM on Sundays. i like to not miss any of the game. Cheesesteaks are very meaty and well seasoned. The roll which makes any sandwich is crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. With the right amount of fried onions and cheese makes for one tasty meal. If in the area give them a try, I am glad I did."
