Katie's Bar & Grill

We drove 3 hours to spend the weekend in Baicliff just to go to Katie's. Why? It's the best place there is to hear live music in south east Texas. Patrons are chill and there to have fun and hear the music and the bands are always excellent. Maybe the bites menu could be expanded, but that's not why we're there, is it? Come for the music and low key but attentive staff. It's the best.

Ringing in the new year here was SPECTACULAR! I had so much fun listening to the band, dancing and dining on the many dishes brought in to keep the crowd nourished.I wouldn't change a thing about Katie's...the mature crowd, live music and affordable drink options make the drive to Bacliff well worth it!

My sister and I showed up with our three dogs (two 50+ lbs) and were treated so kindly by our server, Willis. He brought them dishes of water straight away and was very attentive to us the whole evening. He was very personable and gave great recommendations from the menu. Beautiful views, excellent service.

I like Katie's for the nightly bands. They have had some popular bands and people come in from time to time and play here. One of my favorite bands frequents here, JJ Dynomite! There are other popular name as well, Tony Vega, Bert Wills, Chad Ware, Benny Brasket, Kirk McKim of the Pat Travers Band, Scott McGill are just some that play here frequently. They have their own house band which is very good as well, Bob the owner plays bass and they cover lots of good music. They host a jam night on Sundays. If you ever want to get out and just come to a quiet place to listen to music, this is your spot! It's located in the old Bacliff Post office building and they have gone out of their way to set up a great sound stage!

They don't really do food other than s steak night. This place is a live music venue, and they have night after night some of the best gulf coast area bands you'll hear anywhere. They have two jam nights a week (wed/sun) and they're almost as good as the organised ensembles that are there on weekends

Went to Katie's with my brother and sister on a Saturday night. Live music and lots of people having a good time. Large outdoor patio area with fire pit helped to keep the smokers warm. Ha! I didn't have any food but the adult beverages were quite tasty and everyone had a good time. If you want to dance...dance. If you want to sip...sip. If you want to talk...talk. You get the picture. (Big smile) The band that night played '60's and '70's music and were quite good. Plan to go back.

I have been coming here for 15 + yrs now! So happy the pandemic didn't kill this place like it did a lot of other local mom and pops. Because of the pandemic Katie's is no longer open 7 days a week but is slowly increasing the days of operation. You can go to Katie's Bar and Grill in Bacliff (on Grand Ave) for their calendar!You will never be disappointed coming here, the staff is welcoming, drinks are good, beer is ice cold, bar food is not bad (it's bar food y'all), the prices are excellent, the live music is always amazing with open mic jams on Sundays. A decent dance floor that stays packed. TVs showing your games! And a big out door patio for the smokers!You can reserve a table, booth or place at the bar. If you show up and the place is full, the staff will help you find a spot to sit....if any are left. They make all there patrons feel welcome and special.This past year, new owners took over Katie's! Greatest people you will have the pleasure to meet. Plus they are shaking things up! Bringing in all kinds of different bands/music. No longer just a blues bar.Special parking for motorcycles and extra parking in the back with access thru the patio areaThe place maybe small, but what's inside is definitely worth a visit. Especially if you are a fan of live music!
