Joe's Mesquite Grill

This used to be in my work lunch rotation but they fell off for a few different reasons.Food is 3*. No frills in flavor but also not bad. Standard burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few American grill-type items.The issue I had here was with service. First, when you check out to pay, if I see an option for Tip and there is no table service, it's a big detractor. It's like a psychological play here and the owner, many times, is the one taking people's orders, not wait staff. The setup there is an open kitchen with a bar that, once your order is prepared, they leave it on the counter for you to pick up.Second, for my particular case, I was injured from a car wreck and had one of those foot scooters to get around after surgery, making it really difficult to carry anything with one hand while holding something to control it. Even when I tipped, they would still leave my order on the counter, seeing that I was injured and wouldn't offer to help, not to walk it to my table or even the slightest concern that I was carrying a basket of food in that state where I could easily lose balance.On the other hand, there is another place called Eats owned by a similar family member and they are absolutely hospitable and the menu selection is amazing!If you're in the area trying to find a decent all American menu, I recommend Hot Dog shop or Joy Love Burger.If you're in the area and don't have a preference, Soto's (Mexican) just opened up next door and I recommend that and they have a good lunch menu.

Good food. I had the steak sandwich and my husband had a cheeseburger. All was good, but they were out most sodas on the fountain machine and I was a little leery of the condiment table, they need to revise the tong situation, they were falling directly into food. I don't want to eat food touch by someone's hand. I just asked for my own behind the counter.

First time here, sandwich was wonderful, nice and open. But cook need to wear mask for the safety of their customs.

Nothing special here.I came here based on a recommendation from a friend. The sandwiches (and burgers) always come plain. You get the bun and the meat. You can then go to the condiments bar to get whatever else you want to add. However, for the sandwiches/burgers, there's only lettuce, tomatoes, and onions along with ketchup/mustard/mayo. Considering that I love my onion grilled and caramelized, this is kind of a downer for me.The first time I came here, I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich. Even though the size of the chicken is pretty big, the taste was mediocre at best. I've had some good/great chicken fried chicken and this wasn't it. They also charge close to $3 for fries. Yikes!!! My meal today cost me over $10 with drinks and tax included.The second time I came here, I ordered the Philly steak hoagie. I had a high expectation because I love Philly cheese steaks. This time around, the sandwich tasted a bit better than the chicken fried chicken. Plenty of steak with grilled in pepper. However, it could use a little bit more cheese and if the bread was also grilled, it would've been better. No comparison to Texadelphia in terms of taste or price, though.The third time (yes, I keep giving them a chance) I came here, I got the Angus burger combo. It was pretty good, but I was kind of disappointed that they didn't even bother asking me how I wanted my burger. I like my burger medium, and mine was a little too well done in my opinion so it was a little too dry for me. I think it's time for me to venture for other places in the area (there's not that many, that's why I keep coming back here) and give them a chance. For the price that they're charging and the food that I get, I think I could get more out of my money somewhere else.

Pleasantly surprised by the food here.I would have never considered coming here if it wasn't for my co-workers suggestion. It's not that I prefer being fed with a silver spoon, but mainly because it isn't in the part of town I would typically venture to.I was pleasantly surprised by not only the plethora of options found on their menu but also the taste and quality of their food. I ended up ordering the jerk chicken sandwich and basket of onion rings to share (I can never pass up delicious onion rings). The sandwich came with two large thinly cut chicken filets that had a really great smokiness to them. The bun, although nothing special, was a perfect pairing to the meat...really soft and chewy. The onion rings were on point. If it wasn't for my co-worker helping me out, I would have destroyed the whole basket myself.Everything is self serve here - from finding your seats, to adding condiments and sauces from the salad bar. But it's definitely a good option for a quick bite during your lunch hour. I definitely recommend it!

This time I got the Gyro sandwich. The meal was nice and hot as usual. I will order this again in the future

I had my lunch delivered to my job on Tanner Road. I am giving this restaurant three stars because of fast on time delivery and that yummy avocado dressing. I have yet to go to the actual location. My coworker's frequent this place quite bit. All the food that comes from here looks amazing. I ordered the chicken taco salad. It was $12.06 and HUGE! (Mostly lettuce) It's topped with pico de gayo, shredded cheese, and grilled chicken. The taco shell was stale. The chicken taste more like the char from the grill than chicken, and I got a hint of spicy flavor from one of the items, maybe the pico. I will not order this again.

Visiting from Cali and wanted to try the rich Texan food culture. This was an amazing first stop. Got to meet the man the myth the legend Joe. Everything was great and food/price was really good. Fyi i got the steak sammich 10/10

I use to come all the time. Food was good and still is good. But the price even with inflation is horrible. For two small drinks we paid 5 dollars. . We just got fries and a sandwich there was hardly any fries and sandwich was way smaller than I remember. We almost paid 40 dollars for the two of us, I understand saving costs and passing inflation on but that is crazy

Placed an online delivery order for 2 breakfast tacos at 8:25am. At 8:26 I called to confirm the order since last time they got the entire order wrong. At 9:10am I called to inquire about delivery since they are usually fast. I was told the delivery guy was new, but on the way (only a 3 mile commute). Cool! 9:46, no delivery so I called to see what was going on. The lady who answered the phone said "the delivery guy just left", i explained that i was told the same thing 35mins prior. she immediately started to yell saying "no you called earlier to confirm your order, i told you we had it right"! What she didnt realize was that I DID call 35mins earlier and spoke with a male employee. Instead of hearing me out, i guess what she had to say was more important so she continued to yell and talk over me. Refused to put the manager on the line, so i hung up and called back. The manager picked up and was equally rude. I told him i understood staff shortages and new employees, but I would not be yelled at like that. He did offer the food for free, but at that point (10am) i no longer wanted it and who knows WHEN it would have arrived. As soon as i turned down the free food offer and asked for a refund instead, the manager began to be rude. I will never patronize this business again. Bad customer service for mediocre food. We literally only order from there because their fast and we dont have to leave the office.
