Completely in love with this place!!From the fun sounds when the door opens, to the awesome drink and food menus, to the 80's music videos, to the decor - absolutely love it!!We had a group of 10 - made a reservation. The waitstaff was very nice, engaging, and dealt with our group superbly! Btw...they serve breakfast all day!

This place is so fun place to go to. I cannot help sing, dance, and appreciate all the 80's details throughout the restaurant. The servers are super sweet and excited to show people all the specials that they have and the cool interactive components of the restaurant. Many items on the menu are expensive for the quality and amount that you get. The one thing I WILL be returning for is their tomato bisque soup. This soup can comfort anyone on the coldest of nights. Thats the only thing I would come back for. Unless my mom was in town and wanted a cool place to vibe at.

Great throwback spot if you're missing the 80s. Went with a large group for a friend's birthday. Huge menu guaranteed to have something you'll like to eat and drink. Staff was nice and courteous even with our big rowdy group. Cool art all over the restaurant and bathroom areas to take pics.

This place is so cool! If you love the 80s you will love this bar! Very decorated and something to look at in every corner. Bathrooms are even decorated and they have some nice photo op areas. Food and service was great as well.

Bow Bow, Chicka Chickaaah... (Yello - Oh Yeah)I never grew up in the 80s, but I can sure recognize enough of the decor to catch a nostalgia feel. The 80s theme is well done. Lots of attention to detail was given - everything from the floor to ceiling is covered in something you might recognize. Even our waiter had an amazing mullet and mustache combination, though, I'm not sure if he did it to match the theme, but bonus points given! The only thing that doesn't match the 80s theme is the price. Either inflation really played a role, or the location of the restaurant forced a higher price tag. For a simple burger and fries I ordered, it was $17.99 before tax and tip (Aug 2023). Not worth it in my opinion, but still a decent 1/2" burger. An old menu I found shown a $11.99 price tag, so perhaps beef prices simply sky rocketed. The fried pickles is where it's at. I would come here maybe for just this. I think they are also known for their milk shakes too, though I didn't partake. Maybe next time!Overall, this is not somewhere I would choose for a quality meal, but instead a fun sit-down restaurants to hang out with good friends or family. With the heavy price tag, you pay more for the atmosphere and experience than the food. Menu options aren't anything special except for the unique names of the dishes (aka Optimus prime burger), but instead just slightly better than bar quality food.

I'm not old, I'm classic. And so is Hungry Like the Wolf!Walking in, your greeted by "BABY" literally in the corner (a baby neon pink sign), neon triangles, circles and squares on the black carpeted floor, and a giant tunic cube hanging from the ceiling. Nostalgia hits you like the Tetris bricks stickered onto the front door. The mullet donning bus boy greeted us and seated us. Our Fanny pack waitress quickly came with menus and drinks. And the giant projector served us with classic music videos so 80's that you don't e en know what you're watching. The menu was full of classic puns - Patty LaBelle Melt, Madonna with Meatball Sub, The Stallone Spag and Meatballs. I ended up ordering the Optimus Prime Burger, a 1/2 lb burger with fries. It was a great classic burger with no frills, though a bit pricey at nearly $17. We also ordered the fried pickles (pickle slices FTW!!) that came with ranch dressing to dip and mozzarella sticks with marinara. The fried pickles were perfect crispy discs of savory and sour yumminess. The mozzarella sticks were good, but probably the most forgettable part of the meal.Overall, great service and good food, though a bit pricey. The fun atmosphere reminded me of Saved by the Bell school dances. Definitely recommend this place for a taste of nostalgia.

I can only rate it a 4 via Yelp but it's more like 4 and a half stars! I loved my experience at Hungry like the wolf! They definitely do a great job of carrying out the 80's theme! I especially loved watching all of the old 80's music videos while I ate. Let's start with the best part of the meal... y'all the boozy milkshakes are NOT TO BE MISSED! You hear me?! Order it! We had the banana Rama and the chocolate whiskey one and man..... these were so delicious! Both my husband and I made sure to not leave a drop. Dinner was good! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he loved it! He kept saying eating at this restaurant felt like someone's home. The food had a homemade essence to it that we really appreciated. I ordered a Ruben and I wasn't crazy about it but at that point I was tipsy off of my boozy milkshake to even care! We loved it and we will be back!

Loved the 80's vibe and service, the food...not so much.We made an effort to ride the Metro from downtown Houston, to come to this restaurant because of its name and promise of a unique dining experience. I scouted out the menu beforehand, and knew that a lot of the items had 80's famous names as puns. I just wanted to try it, since both of us grew up in the 80's and understood the jokes (even though the food itself had nothing to do with the name). The restaurant was pretty empty when we came for a late lunch around 1pm. Marrio was our server, and he greeted us promptly and let us sit where we wanted. He was great throughout, keeping our beverage filled and making sure we had what we needed. There is a large tv, showing what MTV was in the early 80's before it became a place just for reality tv. It was 80's music videos, in all it's low-def glory...and I really enjoyed it. We had fun identifying the songs, sharing trivia with our 19 year old nephew (who himself knows a lot about the 80's from talking to his parents). The restaurant is kinda set-up as a diner, and the menu had classic diner food. We ordered three things: optimus prime burger med well ($17.99) that came with fries; 1 rocky iii cheesesteak ($18.99), and bowl of roasted tomato soup ($7.99). With tip and tax, the total came to about $60 bucks. All the foodwere cafeteria quality, ingredients sourced from a food vendor like Sysco...nothing wrong with that, but in that case it's way too expensive. The hamburger was obviously cooked from a frozen patty, and had basic ingredients. The fries were well cooked. The soup tasted like it came from a can: very rich and would have been OK as a dunk with grilled cheese sandwich, but not good by itself...we barely touched it. The cheesesteak had plenty of melted cheese on top, a little bit of well cooked onion and green peppers, and an average amount of beef slices. The taste was fine, but it was really dry (the cheese was too thick to provide much moisture). Would have been better with either cheeze whiz or some au jus. I'm thinking that if one comes at night, and partakes liberally of the bar, it would be a better experience (though probably still pretty expensive). If it is strictly based on the food, it's an expensive miss (especially since it took some effort to get here)...but loved the mutual dining companions, so for me presonally, it ended up still being worthwhile.

Heaven. On. Earth.I love the 80s and it felt like going home.Met a friend on a Wednesday for an early dinner (5 pm) so it wasn't very busy. One table and a guy at the bar. By the time we left, business was picking up. The interior was perfect. Reminded me of the best time ever - the 80s but not overdone. The tables were sparkling. The restaurant was very clean. The guy working was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. Wednesdays are movie days so the tail end of Ferris Bueller was being projected on the wall. They have a diverse menu. Breakfast, sandwiches, salads, entrees. They also have a few specials $10. Ordered a cocktail called the purple rain and I loved it. I'm not a drinker but this was very delicious. Ordered the meatball on Madonna sandwich. It was half a meatball sandwich and fries for $10.The sandwich was pretty big so it didn't even seem like half of one and the fries were really good - crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. After the movie ended, 80s music came on and it was a sing a long the rest of the night. I also ordered a spaghetti to go for my dad. It was a lot of pasta but needed more sauce. Dad was happy. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The guy working deserves 5 stars because he was really great. He said Friday nights they do karaoke and Sunday afternoons they have a dj. There is also a patio area. Def plan on returning soon.

Loud music with poor quality food. High prices for basic American food that you can make at home. They hired a "DJ" who sits on the patio and is paid to harass people in the parking lot because they are so desperate for customers. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Would rate zero stars if I could.
