The food is outstanding! The only place where the flavor, textures and presentation not only transported me to Mexico, but to my grandmama's kitchen in Mexico. They serve the perfect amount of food so you eat everything you order you won't have leftovers to be carrying around. This is gourmet street food either authentic flavors, different for people who has not try the real deal in Mexico. The star of this restaurant are the tortillas made following the traditional way and the only way we should eat tortillas from scratch. Cooking the maíz, grinding it, shaping it and never taking away the flavor with the filling of the taco but, combining the two of them as a marriage that complement each other in flavor and in nutrition. Prices are perfect for the type of authentic, delicious food we get. You won't get this quality of food anywhere else, but in a High range fancy restaurants. Service needs a bit of attention, more people or more organized team, but it's ok knowing the indulgence we are going to have with the food they serve. Ambiance is beautiful and chic modern and vintage feel of a cantina in Mexico with the option of eat outside or inside both very clean and spacious. My best place in Houston for authentic Mexican food!

My experience at Comalito was very good. Like my list of books, my TBR- "to be read" I usually have a list of "to be eaten" restaurants and this was one of the newer onesWalked in on a Saturday for lunch and it was busy but not too busy. You order at the bar and they give you a number for your table Food comes out very fast and we definitely over-ordered. I noticed they had lots of alcoholic drink options as well as bottled jarritos, Coke, topo /!: agua frescas. People have been comparing it to Mexico City style food and I think it's similar or atleast inspired but not exactly. It was really good. Not Tex mex. Very filling but light at the same time Explore the rest of the market while you're there it's great.

Came out here to try their tacos and churro! I loved the vibe as it is nestled in a buzzing area where the farmers market is. We sat outside and it was amazing people watching. They have a great little green space where the kids can run around right in front of the restaurant. We got a variety of tacos they are on the smaller size - handmade corn tortilla with flavorful meat. The meat is a little on the greasier side so one taco does get you full. The tacos we tried:Longaniza (suadero) - spiced sausage- it was flavorful but super greasy Pollo (costras - cheese crusted taco) - very moist chicken and the cheese was melty and crusty!Bistec (parilla) - chewy steak Taco Al pastor - flavorful pork with pineapple. The table gets plenty of lime, onion, and cilantro to garnish their tacos and a choice of three delicious sauces. The show stopper would have to be the churro - it was the best one I've ever had. So crispy on the outside and tender and airy on the inside. There was enough to share and the caramel and chocolate sauces were so tasty and flavorful. If you don't get anything else, get the churro! The ordering process is not streamlined to be prepared to wait in line to order as well as get your food. Definitely a slow dining experience but worth it on a weekend! Check them out!

Finally a good CDMX taqueria in Houston! Wood fired arrachera skirt steak was a revelation, so tender and smoky. Pastor was nicely seasoned. Tortillas were house made and really excellent. Make sure to try the costras - with griddled crispy cheese on top. My nephew loved it all, the patio is good and there's a nice green space for kids to run around at the farmers market. Relatively inexpensive! Mezcalita cocktail was tasty and very reasonably priced (less than $10). I'll be back!

Got excited to see a new restaurant in the Houston Farmers Market and especially comes from Underbelly grp.But to have quite disappointment.1/2 of the items menu were out at 12pm when the restaurant opens at 11am.Then the service, they have plenty of staffs but unfortunate not well trained so they don't know what to do and surely don't pay attention to the customers. One was a bit rude when we requested if they haven't made our Oder bcoz we had been waiting over 15min for a taco so we asked her if she can ask the kitchen not to put onion. She turned around and told us well u didn't tell me at the beginning. Lol what kind of service is that. Do they realize the tips depend on their services? I really want to give an awesome review but just can't due to so many failures from the restaurant side.Hopefully management will look into this seriously. Check your food order before making the menu and re-train your staffs.Even just to fill up water bcoz they don't even do that. You surely have plenty of staffs but not well organized. Oh on the food part was OK, not bad but definitely not great. Good luck since you will be needing for the holidays. Great location.

Overall, cute and good food. It's a fast casual taco experience. Appropriately priced-$4 for 1 taco--$6 for 2. They are mini tacos. I had the waygu taco and meat was tender and flavorful. A little too fatty, though. The male server at the front was a great help with answering questions and helping us first timers. The jamiaca agua Fresca was appropriately sweet but not too sweet. The fried cheese appetizer was interesting. It's something to try at least once but I wouldn't order it again. It's a sauce vehicle but the sauce is amazing. The hot sauces were all great. Service was fast. The decor is cute. Went around noon on a Saturday and it wasn't too packed but definitely gets a good crowd. If I were at the farmer's market I'd go again. It's a decent place.

Comalito is what we mean when we say Houston has the best tacos in Texas. Comalito is just straight forward, delicious street tacos. The space just opened, the staff was so kind. It's behind the Farmer's Market with a bar, seat yourself dining, and a great patio. We came here on opening day, and I will say, they know how to make great food. Without question. I will definitely be back for more. Everything is in Spanish, and everything is good. The absolute best tacos al pastor I have ever eaten. I cannot wait for more!

Loved the ambiance and drinks. We were there for one of their cumbia lesson events. I found the prices were very reasonable. I can't understand why they have a menu for instance tacosThen when you order they are individually served? Like at a gas station ? It was a bit perplexing that you have toOrder everything individually. Otherwise you get the tortilla and protein piled on top of it and that's it.

We sat outside since we had dogs with us. They informed us their patio is not dog friendly, however they are able to get our food to us with the table numbers if we sat outside of the roped area. We had guacamole, chicken quesadillas, tacos al pastor and beef tacos. They make their tortillas in house. I liked my chicken quesadilla and the beef tacos. The beef was slightly lacking in flavor, but the salsas made up for that. The al pastor taco looked good but they were slightly dry, not very flavorful. The guacamole was good, creamy and the chips were seasoned well.
