Jennifer H. "4.5/5 starsCame here on a Saturday around 6:30 pm. They do have a small parking lot, but we did street parking. The line looked short, but it moved slowly, so it took around 35-40 minutes to get our food. You order/receive the food at the counter, then you seat yourself. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. My bf and I got the 1 lb beef rib, 0.5 lb brisket, 0.5 lb pulled pork, 1 sausage, and 3 single sides (Mac and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw). This was wayyy more than enough for 2 people! We also got a slice of bread, which they didn't charge for. I have to say the beef rib and the mac and cheese blew my mind!!! These were my faves from the meal. The beef rib was incredibly tender, fatty, and juicy. The mac and cheese was perfectly smooth, gooey, and cheesy. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. We asked for moist brisket, so we got some very tender/fatty pieces. Some of the leaner brisket pieces were drier, but some were tender. The sausage was solid. Overall, I thought this place was worth the wait!"

I've patronized this business for atleast 3 years, and if it speaks to their consistency, I've yet to have a poor experience. I've enjoyed a few of their pop up events on the patio, the Prince patio take over being my favorite. From the cocktail to the fried green tomatoes, to the chicken and waffles, I've yet to experience an unsatisfying meal here. Things to know: *You have two parking options: street parking as available and valet *Casual dress is usually the vibe *If you arrive during peak hours expect a wait. Their waiting area is on the exterior patio.*Given the nature of the place, and true to its vibe, a few tables feel a bit cozy. This restaurant is a tribute to culinary legacy. Expect fine southern food (comforting and homey but take it up a notch), leave happy!"

Tri D. "3.5 stars for the food but I'll round it up to a 4 because the staff was very nice. This spot is located in a sketchy area so be aware of your surroundings. A couple months back we drove to this location & it was closed without any notice on the door so we decided to come back one more time & I have to say it was definitely worth the drive. When we got there the lines moved quickly but it took about 25 minutes to receive my food which took awhile. I decided to order their two meat combo that comes with two sides. I got the pork ribs, moist brisket, green beans, Mac & cheese & I wanted another side so I got their dirty rice. I'll start the pork ribs, it was tendered and had a decent bark. The brisket was good but needed more salt. Smoke rings was also visible. The Mac and cheese tasted standard and it didn't have the creaminess that I was looking for but doable. The green beans tasted canned but whoever seasoned it needs to not be so heavy handed with it. It was beyond salty to the point that I had consume water with each bite. The dirty rice was excellent, good texture and it was moist. Maybe a hair over salted but not overwhelming. My friend order the brisket sandwich and it was very good, bread was toasted nicely & the brisket was moist & tendered. Their BBQ sauce is a sleeper, it had a nice tang & sweetness to it. What I like about Ray's is that whatever you ordered you get your bang for your buck. 16.95 for two meats & two sides is a steal. On top of that, they gave me 3 pieces of ribs & 4 slices of brisket. Idk if that had to do with the waiting time, but they hooks it up. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff was nice & the food was satisfactory. Will I come back? Yep, next time I need to try their fried catfish & their dessert."

First time and I thought why haven't I been here yet?!We arrived on a Wednesday around 12:45 and we got lucky as there was a short line. Order, pay and find a table. They were providing Brisket samples which was a nice touch. I could have just stood there and ate the samples all day-wow!We ordered one meat and two meat combo plates. Both had Brisket and one with the Spicy Peppercorn sausage. Brisket was amazing! Perfect smoke and tender.I usually get Jalapeño Cheddar sausage but decided to go with the Peppercorn. Good decision-just right spicy/salty-delicious! Sides were Corn Pudding, Tater Tot Casserole, Brussel Sprouts, and Mac & Cheese. All delicious with the Corn and Sprouts standing out.Service was quick (kept the line moving) and friendly. On Bon Appetit's Top 8 Houston BBQ spots as well a few other lists. Great recommendation!Short but sweet review is that this spot is delicious. Important things to note- if you're very hungry and need food sooner than later, order an appetizer. There is literally a sign on the door that asks for patience for food to be prepared. Our order did take a while and I kept seeing other tables get food, they ordered a first course before the main entree. I was just getting hangry lol. Once the food came it was so delicious. The sticky chicken meal is unbelievably good. The chicken is full of flavor and sticky glaze. Really tender and soft meat. Also very enjoyable was the fried catfish sandwich. The only thing I didn't really like was the fried okra. I had wished I ordered a different side. It was a bit dried out. Otherwise everything else was really great. People shouldn't even bother with that review. 2. The staff is not racist or judgmental like someone said. Texas is pretty diverse so no need to play the victim card. When we parked, there was a group of people just waiting by the door, but no one by the hostess. I walked up to the hostess and said how many were in my party, and we were immediately seated. Service as a whole was splendid. Our server made sure we got everything we needed. Food came out fast. We ordered several items to try. Yes it is pricey but the food we ordered was far from being bland. -sticky pork belly bites 5/5 - I really like the cherry cola glaze. The pork belly was not too sweet after the glaze.-Sunday's deviled eggs 5/5 - brisket on top of deviled eggs. Yes please. -Roy's chicken fried steak 5/5 - not your typical chicken fried steak from Ihop. Great quality, easy to cut. Peppercorn cream gravy was perfectly seasoned. The dinner rolls are moist not dry. I didn't really need butter on them. Cream corn pudding with jalapeño is a must have side. Both delicious, but if you're like me and have the busted cilantro taste bud, the tuna is safer - cilantro big enough to remove. I had the shrimp (pictured) based on the recommendation of one of the staff - I was not steered wrong. Dad had the scallops on my recollection of them from years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert I had the Caribbean Coffee, which is basically their take on an affogato. Dark Illy coffee with 12 yr Caribbean rum and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. PERFECT way to finish the night. Victor H. "Backstory: It's the last Sunday of October. My friend needed me to pick him up instead of Ubering/Lyfting with the proposition of brunch as a reward. Of course I took him up on his offer since you never turn down free meals/drinks. And since he really wanted to try this spot, we ended up here.Multiple reviews claim this is a hidden gem and they couldn't be more accurate in their claim. It's a small venue with a coffee shop-like interior (minus the cozy sofas and lounge chairs) containing several tables and booths for seating. May not be appealing on the inside but the smell of grease, coffee, and jam as you walk in will compel you to stick around and order.Upon being seated and receiving some H20s, coffee, and orange juice, I decided on the Brisket benedict w/ potatoes and my friend ordered the Southern Breakfast (dog eggs, pancakes, pork sausage, and grits). We also got a side of chorizo and extra biscuits for both of us. The portions are quite large (typical of Texas) so we couldn't finish everything but did the best we could. First, those biscuits, OMFG!!!!! Fluffy, buttery, great texture, slap some of that butter/jam mixture on top and you'll want to slap someone. Might be the best biscuits I've had in Houston so far. The brisket benedict had a nice amount of brisket that was lean and tender; pierce that egg and mix it with the brisket and hollandaise over the biscuit platform gives a savory rich bite every time. My friend enjoyed the grits they served, not too runny and seasoned well. The pancakes were also rich and savory as well with some syrup and add that butter/jam mix to it. We probably didn't need to order chorizo since we we're stuffed from everything else but I added some to the benedict (and he added some to the grits) and it takes the dishes to another level! If you're in the Spring area, you've got to check this place out. Aside from brunch/breakfast ,they have a keto menu and lunch items (burgers, sandwiches, wings, entrees, salads) if you're not in the mood for breakfast/brunch. But let's face it, breakfast is what they are known for and they kill it here!"

Justin T. "Ya'll really let me go this long not having Mia's Table! What a shame! I mostly blame myself because they have six locations throughout Houston and should have stopped in sooner. Part of the Carrabbas family, I should have known this place was going to be amazing. This location in the Woodlands area was where we stopped on our way back from Dallas. This place is very spacious, with plenty of seating inside and out. The staff was very friendly from the person who took our order, to the bussers walking around. They even offered us to go cups when they took away our plates. We kind of had snacks and light meals throughout the day so I was ready to eat. They do counter service here where you order you food at the counter, get a buzzer and seat yourself. We came at the tail end of dinner so no lines and quick service. I was starving and saw they have chicken fried steak on the menu with two sides. I'm a chicken fried steak snob so my expectations were high. Their more upscale sister restaurant Grace's which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants in town has a dish with jalapeno cream gravy. It is hands down one of the best gravies you will have. I saw they have that here which made my dinner choice a no brainer. Without much thought, I got sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Should have got a veggie but YOLO. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. There was no gravy on the potatoes but it did not need it. It was delicious plain and you could tell they were made from scratch. The mac was creamy and gooey, just like I like it. Very good flavor as well. The star of the show was the chicken fried steak though. My first bite was heavenly. You could tell they tenderized it just right, seasoned the meat and the breading, and cooked it to perfection. It was probably one of the better chicken fried steaks I have had. The gravy was just like I remembered it at Grace's. This meal was absolute perfection. The portion size was huge and I only made it half way before throwing in the towel. I ate it the next day and it tasted great reheated as well.I am a huge fan of this place now and have already praised this place to my friends and family. They have locations throughout Houston and I will check them out when I am close to one for sure!"

Unless you're very hungry, I think it'll be pretty hard to finish this mill. Back to the food, this mother chicken was top-notch. Also, the mac & cheese was simply amazing. The broccoli, rice casserole was some of the best you will ever have. The white rice and gravy was really good as well. Sarah B. "Back camping at Huntsville SP again, and remembered how much we enjoyed this place- so, here we are!Perfectly timed for Sunday lunch, we got our name on the list then stepped over to the Farmhouse Coffee and Cream for a decaf flat white (with coconut- SUPER tasty!). Made the ~20 minute wait back over here at the restaurant seem quick.Ordering up a fav from last time (coconut shrimp) and trying a new app (southwest egg rolls); the cold chicken salad for me, hubs is having grilled chicken salad. (Which Colton, our server, took a few minutes to explain- it's not the normal bed of lettuce topped by a grilled chicken breast, but a Mexican style warm salad with zucchini and onions, the chicken sautéed in spicy sauce. Appreciated the heads up, and hubby is game for trying it) and we'll split a wedge salad between us. We're trying to keep it low carb and semi healthy b/c we know there's probably going to be pie (or sweet treats from the coffee shop) in our future. YUM!The coconut shrimp and orange marmalade is still a tropical delight- such an incredible combination. The southwest egg rolls are predictable, but tasty. Not a huge fan of the wedge salad, it's just a simple blue cheese dressing, but I will give kudos to the fact that they split the salad before bringing it out since hubby and I said we were sharing it. A very GENEROUS scoop of cold chicken salad for my entrée. Needed a little salt and pepper to bring the flavor out, but I'm impressed with how much shredded chicken it is (most places give you a larger ratio of the filler veggies (onions, celery, egg, etc) but the chicken really is the star here!)Hubby's salad came in a fried taco shell, with plenty of filling. Very tasty, spicy but no heat. He'd have it again (and mentioned again how glad we are for the heads up that it's not a lettuce based salad!)Hubs is having a (HUGE) slice of coconut cream pie; I'm opting for a few sweet treats out of the bakery case at the coffee shop. I'm not a big meringue fan, so he's given me little bits of just the coconut cream... and once again, the crust on these pies is cookie-delicious to-die-for!Another great meal, with great service (thanks Colton!) and we'll certainly be back again! --------- Y'all the team in here today is HUSTLING- seriously, most of the crew is moving at warp speed. Except for this one guy (we'll call him Hungover Hank). I kid you not, if it weren't for the front counter holding him up, I'm pretty sure he'd be on the floor asleep. If (and I mean IF) he's helping out to bus and clear a table, he's moved at a snail's pace in comparison to his colleagues) And normally, I wouldn't mention this in my reviews, but if the manager reads these, they need to know this kiddo at the host stand is a major turn-off when you first get here and he can barely stand up, open his eyes to greet you and acknowledge your presence. The rest of the team? FANTASTIC. But this guy? Hungover Hank needs a nap. ---------Follow our camping adventures at: www.tent-on-wheels.blogspot.com"

If it were a place in the northern part of the country, I think they'd be well received. They can't be considered among the heavy hitters in this city without being more consistent with their meats. 3.5 stars, rounded up.It's a good looking place with ample parking, covered patio seating, and a cozy interior that any place would love. I appreciate the homey vibe and intimate seating, and the super consistent service. That drive-thru is a gamechanger, which is perfect for folks who aren't interested in waits, or keeps people from having to wait in line (at least in person) and perfect for folks who are on the go. (#2)To be clear, I do like the food overall. I've had excellent versions of everything and I've also had dry and disappointing versions as well. The brisket and turkey are always big gambles, which also happen to be my favorite meats. I am fond of their jalapeño sausage and think the pulled pork is solid. The chopped beef baked potato is one of my favorite items, since it's fully loaded, and not as messy as other variations I've seen from around town. The jambalaya is a hard pass for me but the creamed corn and mac and cheese make up for it. Bread pudding is also a winner and a great way to end the meal. They also do deliver through a lot of the third party platforms. I always think BBQ is meant to be eaten in but the drive-thru makes this place a bonafide option for a last minute potluck or indulgent meal on the fly. ___________(#1) And really, Texas in general. There is a small area to dine in for about 15 ppl or so. It s cute decor. We were greeted enthusiastically when we walked through the door. The gentleman was polite as well as the cashier when we asked questions about how to order. There are items that are ready on the hot line. There are things that are cooked to order. You better have your butt in line by 6:53 so you can be sure to get your cooked to order in before 7pm! We made it by the skin of our teeth, by time we made it to the counter it was 7:01 but the gentleman said since we were in line by 7 we could still order. We all had to know what we wanted so he could quickly call it back to the cook before they shut the kitchen down. It must be pretty serious cuz a guy behind us was getting loud with the staff about them not letting him order cook to order all week for walking in at 7pm! I was like uh oh . I got Cajun fried chicken with Mac and cheese and yams. Mom got fried catfish and shrimp with greens. The meals came with cornbread. The chicken was fried hard like it should be and was crispy and delicious . I ordered 2 of these and requested all flats. The honored the request a best they could, so one plate was all flats, and the other was 2 flats and 3 drums , no big deal! The yams...bussin, the macaroni and cheese...bussin. The cornbread was soft and sweet. The shrimp was good! I didn't taste the greens or fried catfish;that was mom's order. I also ordered a jerk lamb chop al la cart. Since we got the right before they stopped with cook to order the grill was already off so I was refunded my $11 for that. We were given complementary dessert just because. We opted for peach cobbler and cheesecake. That cobbler was so freaking good! It had lots of crust like it like it, and it was just the right amount of sweet! It hits the mark, always so satisfying.... in a stick-to-your-ribs way.Favorites are the fried boudain balls (get extra remoulade sauce to dip!), the gumbo (with a nice dark roux), and the decadent Seafood burrito (a fusion of Louisiana meets Tex-Mex). Real good, y'all.(Thank me later.)"

Tracey L. "I first visited the Tumble 22 in April when I was coming here to pick up my keys for my place. The waiter gave me the background of this restaurant and the area; he explained the different heat levels the chicken comes in. There are six levels of heat, from Wimpy Hot to Stupid Hot. Now the chicken, I like that the spices go straight through the crispy skin to the meat. I will post the picture showing the spices on the meat that brings the heat. The skin is so good I could have eaten that alone. I added the Dirty Fries smothered in Queso with big chunks of chicken, a new dish for me, and I have tried to make it at home, but no such luck. I think I need the chicken recipe. I enjoyed my food for sure, but I loved how pretty this place is with the old wooden window frames. It gives a quiet chic barn feel with the reds and beige and Rooster on the wall standing tall, along with the many other pictures."

Vik P. "Friend held a Christmas party here and had a good time. Very nice indoor/outdoor covered venue with stage for live band. Friendly service for a large group.Food was really good, tried both seafood and chicken/sausage gumbo...this time I enjoyed the latter more bc of the spice. And really creamy mac & cheese."

Alexander W. "I hate when I find places like this. I know I'm going back despite rejections and objections from my frugal meter. My New Orleans soul wants to find good food that is really inexpensive. I know that our social climate has made meat prices skyrocket over the last few years...but a vegetarian lifestyle is not fat man friendly. I go to this place and they have a constant group of people coming in and out. That's a good sign. I saw all racial groups in here... that's another really good sign. I saw a board on the ground that had specials on it...my frugal meter really liked seeing that!Any meat based place is going to make me frugal meter scream...and this place was no different. I wondered if the pricing was going to match the taste...well... I'll tell you this:1. These people are really friendly and professional. I think the purposely hire all cute ladies! One lady said she was the owner, but she looked like an Instagram model...I think they are making certain males come back my having a good looking staff and good looking food. 2. This food is not the type of food that will spike your vitals and having your primary care physician scoffing at you. The food has light seasoning so you can enjoy the food and enjoy it often. This is a bbq joint and they didn't even try to hide behind a bbq sauce... which the bbq sauce was really delicious. They gave it to me as a side dipping sauce. The boudin even had a nice flavor with a slight spice kick at the end. It's a good Texas take on a Louisiana staple. I like the addition of firecracker crackers to enjoy the item. Even the homemade pound cake with lemon icing was not overly sweet. You can eat that with no guilt creeping in. 3. If you dine in, you have access to unlimited refills on your drink. All in all, this friendly staff will provide you with good eats. If you already are used to paying the prices for bbq now and days, you will have minimal complaints here. Despite my frugal meter yelling when I go there, I'll just hope their frequent eater program can give me the discounts I think will be needed to make my frugal meter pipe down! Go here and tell me what you think of the place."

Mike P. "While exploring downtown after moving into the area, we happened upon Pacific Yard House and stopped in to have a beer and an appetizer. The craft beer selection wasn't bad and we tried something new as we are new to Texas craft beer. We also ordered the Beer Cheese and Pretzels; House made Shiner bock beer cheese served with deep fried pretzels tossed in sea salt. The most awesome pretzels we have ever had! Right then, we knew we had found a great place. We returned with friends to listen to some live music and try out some of their entrees. I ordered the Smoke House Burger: A beef patty with melted mixed cheese, pulled pork, fried onion, bourbon glaze, and fried jalapeno chips. This was an awesome burger as were the onion rings! Big and full of flavor, I really enjoyed my meal! My wife went with the Bourbon Glazed Salmon: Bourbon marinated salmon served on a bed of rice and basted with bourbon glaze. My wife said that this was some of the best pieces of salmon she had ever had. The service as good we the hostess Coco was outstanding! Fun to chat with and a wealth of knowledge about this restaurant. I highly recommend trying out Pacific Yard House if you are new to the area and want some great food, good drinks in a great atmosphere."

Brittany B. "Ok, the main point of writing this review is to state that Sammy Jo is a boss. I stayed for about an hour on a Friday, and she single handedly worked the entire bar like a champ! Seriously, an underrated skill because this bar was bustling! Happy hour seems to be a hotspot for this place. This was my first time in, and I was surprised to learn that they offer tequila flights, and whiskey flight, but do not offer beer flights! This is surprising because this is certainly a beer joint. On the plus side they have a great selection of local brews (although not all on the menu were available), and the bartenders do a fantastic job at helping you make a selection. Also their shots menu is really unique...peanut butter pixie stick what?! Apart from the drink, I'll agree with a few of the reviews below- the food takes quite awhile, BUT if you have a minute, I recommend the pretzel & beer cheese *chefs kiss*. I'm sure it's meant to feed two or three, shared amongst friends, but this was the perfect size for a gluttonous me (love me some beer cheese)! While I personally cannot say I'm in love with the "come and take it" staff uniforms, all and all, I would recommend this place for a nice happy hour brew with the mindset that the food is a bonus."

George Y. "Good food, service, price and decor. Bathroom was clean. Price better than most equivalent restaurants. Not good for large groups. We had to sit in multiple booths. One shortcoming. They put these stunningly delicious and addictive type of a croissant on the table. If you don't use a great deal of restraint, you will become too full to eat your meal."
