"Date night and I wanted to try out hookah for the first time.Open pretty late, we came here after drinks at Woosters. My date ordered the mixed grill kabob and a hot tea, He really liked it. We got a strawberry hookah and it was pretty cool. It does taste like strawberry. It was nice. They had live music the night we came and the singer had a very good voice. He sang in his native tongue and I enjoyed seeing the customers clap and dance. The majority of the customers were men. We were the only non Middle Easterners there. I'll probably go to a hookah joint again but somewhere more diverse. Cool place though. Very reasonable prices."
"South Beach epitomizes "gay dance club." You've got: multiple levels, a laser light show, black lights, free glow in the dark necklaces, hot oiled-up bods in tighty whities and sneakers dancing on blocks, cutie bartenders (some straight), insanely loud music with DJs from across the country ... and restroom signs that say, "one person per stall." Holla.I've never been to South Beach in Florida, but I can only assume this club is as wild as the town gets. The last time I came here with my (straight) friend Tony, it was because his cousin (also straight) was working the bar, and I'm not one to deny free drinks--they just taste better. It was Thursday's Noche Latina Uncut, and a DJ from Miami was brought into town (The music was so good, I later snagged a cd from him.) After a few shots of "Sex on the South Beach," we made way to the packed dance floor where there was every type of person: gays, straights, transvestites, the "confused," thugs, hipsters, body builders, ladies and more. When things got too hot, South Beach unleashes the Liquid Ice Jets which instantly drop the temp 20 degrees; you literally can't see the person in front--or behind--you when that happens, so watch out!I happened to find myself dancing with a French male flight attendant from Canada (not kidding) who claimed to be gay, but after a few sneaked in feelskies, I realized this wasn't true--that or he was just messing with me. Biting my bum was the last straw and I quickly turned to him, pointed my finger and scolded: "No! You are not gay!" and stormed off. Ahh, anything can happen at South Beach.Besides the way I've seen management treat their staff, my only complaint is that they almost always have a cover, ranging from $10-$20. For a gal who can certainly ring up a bar tab, I'm not a fan of covers. However, they're open super late night (think 5am), so they gotta make their extra dough somehow. For those who are wondering, the dress code allows "anything from underwear and up," so enjoy the sea of eye candy."
"Late nights looking for food led me here. The place is perfect for any day of the week. The drinks are strong, the food is good and the people are friendly. There aren't many places like this around and it must be protected. Anytime I'm in the area I will be sure to stop by and partake. Also make sure to ask if Jamie is working."
"A friend and I were in the area and were in the mood to have a drink or two in a place with a lively and fun atmosphere and younger patrons. The Yelp app directed us here.Shamrock's Pub is basically 2 bars in one. When we first walked in, we entered an area that was full of smoke and had a long, rectangular bar to our left, booth seating to our right and was nearly full. Neither of us smoke and we wanted to sit at the bar, so I decided to check out the adjoining space to see if we'd have better luck there. It was yet another full bar, and lots of tables and chairs in this space were available, but this portion of Shamrock's was non-smoking. Perfect! The bartender was friendly, and the drink prices here are definitely reasonable (we had 2 mixed drinks and 2 pint drafts and the total was something like $16 with tax). They don't have a food menu, but do offer bowls of buttered popcorn, and on Tuesdays they feature a steak night. If you're staying near the airport on this side of town, this divey establishment is probably one of the more lively bars to come to through the week."

Looking for a great gay club? This is it. The space is large, the bars are plenty, the music's bumpin, the people are fun and friendly. There's a lot of male eye candy for anyone who's interested, and periodic drag performers. We had a fun time dancing ourselves silly. But who's the only 37 year old girl that gets hit on by a 28 year old straight guy at a gay bar? This girl. Awkward!! Parking can be a PAIN around the area, but they do have $7 valet :P

We got here about 8pm and ordered food since the dj wasn't there yet, so low radio music and no dancing. We got chicken wings. As soon as they were put on the table I could smell that they weren't freshly cooked. I didn't taste them but my Auntie said they were dry and not tasty with flavor. The dj finally came at 9 so the dancing started. Two step or swing dance and line dance music was mostly played. It would be better to play regular dance songs also, everyone don't know how to swing and line dance. They had a lot of security there so not sure if anything gets bad there or if they are truly trying to protect guest. Our waitress was very nice and kind with us.

Not going to lie, this is probably my favorite dance club in Houston at the moment. It's a cool venue. It's not big, but that's kind of what makes it so cool. Packed or not, the vibe with both the DJs and the crowd feels pretty intimate - like everyone is on the same level, even when it's going off!It has a main room upstairs with a patio that's really nice. The view of downtown from it is actually quite amazing. There's an outdoor area downstairs with a stage that is nice too. The location is pretty ideal as well, IMO. It's on the edge of downtown, just slightly north of Midtown. Logistically, it makes perfect sense, and if you are not walking or ride-sharing, it has a fairly big and well-kept public parking lot contiguous to it. They frequently have big quality names coming through, along with solid local openers that should also be supported. I am looking forward to coming here for more events in the future!

This place did not disappoint! Went to this place for the first time this past weekend on Friday Ladies night. Music selection was a mix of Reggae, Soca and hip hop. The vibe from the crowd was great. It was more of an older crowd but they knew how to have a great time! The drinks were strong!! I ordered a rum punch and couldn't even finish it. Move forward to the next day. They announced Friday evening about the Free crawfish Day Party they were throwing Saturday. My friend and I went back to try the crawfish. Glad we made that decision! The crawfish was seasoned well and very spicy! I ended up ordering 2 happy hour rum punch and oxtails dinner. Overall, experienced was excellent!

"I love coming to this bar/lounge and have been coming ever since they first opened a few years ago. Bauhaus is located downtown near the Toyota Center and down the street from Spire. They bring a lot of great DJs to play at their venue as well as other amazing local DJs to spin tunes and keep you dancing all night long. They have 3 different bar areas, an upstairs as well as downstairs bathroom, and also and outdoor patio area if you're looking for a chiller vibe. I also love that they carry my favorite tequila brands as Cle does not. I've said it before it's very easy to lose track of time here especially when you're having fun. Everyone is welcome although it may not be for everyone's taste and that's okay. I guarantee you will meet some fun new friends because the vibes are always right! They also have a kitchen you can order food from to eat in the lounge or on the patio. They were one of the first bars in the area to open up during Covid following all the safety guidelines. If you want a hip place to go with beautiful people you should come check them out!"
"Look. I had an absolute blast. Much thanks to my late night yelp buddy Austin J. When I walked in a little after 11pm there were a few seats at the bar. Nice seats with backs!! But what is that DJ playing? Hard core hip hop and 90% of the crowd was 30s with a few others older/younger in between. I was going to leave after one drink but then the DJ obviously got a clue and realized his crowd was older. He played a few old school hip hop sets then switch to reggae which was cool. So people actually got up and danced. He finally kind of got it. Free buffet from 5-9pm on Friday with half price drinks. Buffet was still out when I got there. Ice cold but free so no complaint. Probably 6 to 8 food items. Bartenders were surprisingly friendly and the drinks were strong. After two mixed drinks and a beer I was done. And how about another place where people dance. It was great to see. The DJ needs to work on his thing. He was switching songs as soon as the crowd got into it, he would switch from hip hop to freaking Latino music. Wtf! He dont know how to mix music at all. Small patio out front. Once it catches on, it is going to be packed. I did not care for the hookah inside. Take that ish outdoors please. But looks like this place will be a good time. Come now while it's not too crowded"
