"Really fun place. Live music (JustUs tonight), pool tables, and very friendly clientele. You don't have to be a regular to be welcomed. This was my first trip and every one, patrons and staff, were open and inviting. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Only 4 stars because the guy behind the bar was clearly having trouble finding and cashing out out check. Thankfully the waitress gave him a hand and got us on our way. Overall all a great place to have a drink and cut loose. I will be back for sure."

"I really liked their tables here and the layout of the pool tables. I was here for a ladies tournament and the staff seemed to be quite friendly also. The only thing I would have to say that was not nice was the ventilation but I guess that is what you get with all pool halls. They have plenty of tables to go around which helped the tournament move along quite quickly compared to the amount of people who showed up for it. There is also plenty of parking outside and the windows are tinted quite well so if you are there during the day you won't be blinded by the light outside while shooting pool. They have a restroom on either side of the building and when it gets busy they open up the one in the "back" (which is the right side of the building if you are looking at it from the front) They also seemed to have a poker or card game area for those who are interested in those kinds of things."

"Who doesn't love Slick Willie's? Barbie's seen quite a few of these, and apparently gets them slicker than anyone. Well, no, she really does, I can tell you from experience. And there's nothing "family" about her "pool halls" if you know what I mean.This is your typical pool hall located right in the heart of Montrose on Westheimer. It's a good place for a pool hall because this area doesn't have any typical standard bars and hangouts like this, mostly just hipster craft beer stuffs, so it's something that Montrose needs and it's great that it has it."

"A friend and I were in the area and were in the mood to have a drink or two in a place with a lively and fun atmosphere and younger patrons. The Yelp app directed us here.Shamrock's Pub is basically 2 bars in one. When we first walked in, we entered an area that was full of smoke and had a long, rectangular bar to our left, booth seating to our right and was nearly full. Neither of us smoke and we wanted to sit at the bar, so I decided to check out the adjoining space to see if we'd have better luck there. It was yet another full bar, and lots of tables and chairs in this space were available, but this portion of Shamrock's was non-smoking. Perfect!The bartender was friendly, and the drink prices here are definitely reasonable (we had 2 mixed drinks and 2 pint drafts and the total was something like $16 with tax). They don't have a food menu, but do offer bowls of buttered popcorn, and on Tuesdays they feature a steak night.If you're staying near the airport on this side of town, this divey establishment is probably one of the more lively bars to come to through the week."

"Me and one of my friends attended recently to watch a fight. I had been here once before and got great service at the bar so we sat at the bar again and were waited on by Breyohn. She kept our glasses full and we had great service. They also have food and we tried their wings and fries. My friend did not enjoy them but were OK for me.They are pretty large inside with a stage in the middle of the building. Towards the back is another bar and a number of pool tables. They have a large amount of TV's through the building and behind the bar.They have a DJ on the nights that we were there and on Thursday they have a twerk off. lolIt is cool place for an event or just to stop in for a few drinks."

"They sang Video Killed The Radio Star, but wait, that was The Buggles, so never mind.Houston is a huge city with a lot of transplants from other places and if you're from cheese country - anywhere in Wisconsin - and you're offended the NFL... I mean a fan of the NFL but who isn't offended by the NFL?... then this is the bar for you.Food is good and prices are average and the crowd is fun, but most of all it's the centre for everything Packers related.Any Packers game you want to see come here. "I have to admit that I like this place. I had just come from dinner, so I was neither hungry nor thirsty. No foods were offered to me, so I like that they allowed me to dictate my pace. For the staff not to offer may be an irritant to some, but since it is a pool hall, I like that they put that mentality first. I do know that they charge by the minute. I would be comfortable giving them a 4 star rating except one thing happened...they forgot to give me all the pool balls on the initial handing out of supplies!That would not be an issue, but if you are charged per minute, and you have to wait several minutes for the one guy handing out supplies to get back to your area, then that is kind of unfair to the customer to have dead time waiting on your to do your initial task properly and charge me for your mess up. Screw your 4th star!!!I like that they have a great deal before the night time hours kicks in with regards to pricing. You were charged about $7 an hour ($0.11 a minute) for pool on my particular Sunday. It goes to $14 ($0.22 a minute) an hour for the nighttime play. I was not told if the night time was something based on a set time, or if it was when you looked outside and saw it was dark.I noticed a full bar, darts, a game to test how hard you can punch, a basketball shooting machine, and a menu with light eats...with no prices...I hate no prices. I should take away another star for not allowing my frugal meter to activate and scope accordingly!All in all, a good experience. They truly earned that 4th star on the strength of them not allowing smoking inside of the building! That's a huge plus for me. So, you do get the 4th star. If I order food next time, you just may lose that forth star, so be ready!"

You can't beat the music, the $5 Hennessy (!!!), and the feeling of being at home. As an HBCU grad who now lives in Corporate America 5 days a week, I get a sense of nostalgia when I visit Carro's. I'm not always in the mood for a night here, but when I do visit this place, I'm always guaranteed a good time. Plus, there's no true pressure to get all dolled up. I've walked into Carro's barefaced, wearing a plain white tee. On Fridays, the chicken man sells the most delicious fried chicken boxes. Get there before 10 to catch him!"

"Had such a great time tonight here! I haven't shot pool probably for 10-12 years but I somehow managed to win a few rounds!Upon walking in, I was impressed by how spacious and clean the place was. We were immediately greeted and given instructions and balls to play. Pricing was $5/person per hour. That's a great deal. "First time here tonight and overall I'd say it was a pretty good experience. I had a girl named Kim serving me. From the Jump she noticed I wasn't exactly sure if they just had bar service or if I could take a seat and have someone come up to me. She let me know how the place worked and took care of me for the rest of the night. She had a great attitude all through the night even with it being a Saturday and extremely busy. I'm usually not one for super busy Bars so would definitely prefer this place on a weekday instead of weekends, but if that's your vibe, THIS IS THE PLACE. Lots of people, good music, fun arcade games and GREAT drink prices. My only issue was how much drama was going on, my first night there and I watched 4 different fights break out, that has nothing to do with the establishment though and everything to do with just drunk people. But the security 100% did there job and diffused every situation before it got out of hand. I recommend everyone try this place out atleast once. The location in Richmond texas is also great."
