"Very cute brunch and dessert spot. The crème brûlée bites were my favorite. They are about two bites which are perfect if you're wanting to sample a few things. I also tried the key lime pie. Not too sweet but the perfect level of sugar to where you don't feel like you're immediately getting a cavity. Also had brunch. I tried the French toast and breakfast sandwich. The French toast was simple but okay. The sandwich was a little messy. I wasn't a fan of the bacon, almost as if It wasn't freshly cooked . I would've preferred a different bun as well. The hamburger bun was out of place for breakfast."
"Really cute place to get work done, drink coffee, socialize, & enjoy the sun(on the patio). Big variety of pastries, light bites, coffee, tea, & cocktails. Will be coming back and bringing all my friends to cowork!"

"Very friendly service and delicious food. My granddaughter loves it too! Kid friendly and nice open seating. We like the corner booth so we have room for the baby's little high chair attachment"
"Coffee was the ice capp and it was really good. Put it over ice and it was tastier. The potato egg and cheese taco was a little overpriced in an area with $3 breakfast tacos. The homemade corn tortilla was solid but nothing stood out about the taco itself. Overall still a good breakfast."
"Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too."
"Let there be a bagel shop. Here comes New York Deli. I stopped by after a Passover breakfast meeting at my friend's house. I saw a long line at the parking lot next to the Neighborhood Walking. I couldn't resist to wait like everyone else. Yes, the bagels are a little pricey. But I couldn't find freshly baked bagels in Houston. Nice to see one within reach. While waiting in line, I glanced over at an open door, "Ah a coffee shop". According to an employee, that's a full-service restaurant. He recommended that I swing by one day. Yeah, if I didn't have breakfast,Bagels are decent. I only intended to eat half while driving home. But because they tasted so good, I ate just about everything I bought. Oops. Until then."
"Don Café & Sandwich makes the best bánh mì sandwiches in Houston! Each sandwich is made with exceptionally fresh ingredients - the pork is flavorful, the pâté creamy, the veggies crisp, and the baguette lightly brushed with butter and toasted. We called ahead and placed an order for pick up because Don's can get very busy, especially on the weekends. The service is always fast and friendly, and many of the staff members speak multiple languages. The inside of the restaurant is fairly typical of a locally owned Vietnamese restaurant in Bellaire. It combines function and typical Asian decor - traditional money plant, lucky cat, and a tribute to Buddha.Note: Make sure you have cash on hand because Don's does not take credit cards!"
"Black Walnut Cafe is an excellent dining spot that I have been frequenting for quite some time now. One of the standout features of this place is their impeccable customer service. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home. They go above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Now, let's talk about the food. I must say that I am a huge fan of the tomato basil soup. It is simply outstanding! The soup is creamy, flavorful, and has the perfect balance of spices. It's my go-to dish every time I visit Black Walnut Cafe. However, it's not just the soup that's great - every dish on the menu is top-notch. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you'll find something delicious to suit your taste buds.In conclusion, Black Walnut Cafe is a fantastic spot to enjoy a satisfying meal. The customer service is top-notch, and the food is simply delicious. If you haven't yet visited this restaurant, I highly recommend it - and don't forget to try the tomato basil soup!"
"I appreciate the warmth and comfort of the Bagel Cafe. This place is noticeably the real deal with friendly service, tasty bagels and good coffee.I especially enjoy their cheddar bagel yet find all their options perfectly textured and flavorful. I look forward to returning."
"I've tried just about every creperie from here to Willis, so why did it take me so long to try Sleek? Well, I'd yet to see them offer an option with hazelnut spread. That being said, after some digging, I was delighted to find the sleek chocolate crepe/shawarma crepe listed on their website. The description of "chocolate shavings made of milk chocolate and hazelnut" had my taste buds tingle. However, upon arrival I was sad to find a Nutella-less creperie, "no hazelnut options" I was told. Instead I build a crepe of dark chocolate, almonds, and strawberries, grabbed a slice of chocolate tres leches, and picked out two truffles- a white chocolate Oreo pyramid and a Turkish coffee truffle. With the restaurant half full, I waited about 10 minutes for my crepe, and I highly recommend if ordering to go, you eat it immediately. Ordering a build your own, mine may be an outlier but the chocolate for my crepe was drizzled on top, with none in the interior. Mine was filled with fresh strawberries and the almonds sat atop the dark chocolate drizzle. The quality of the chocolate was nice, I just wish it also filled the interior. From the freshly cut strawberries to the quality dark chocolate the crepe was fresh- I'll give it that. Did it fulfill my crepe cravings- not quite. The Tres leches chocolate cheesecake didn't taste of chocolate, and while the pyramid Oreo truffle was fine, I'd say, the Turkish coffee truffle heated juuuust a bit was the best thing I tried.I appreciate their dedication to quality ingredients, and am eager to see them continue to modify and thrive. Best of luck to them, my sweet tooth tells me I'll be back eventually."

This was a cute little vibe cafe. I came multiple times on my stay in Houston. They have a nice menu of green juices, sweet treats, and breakfast sandwiches. Order at the counter and find a seat. There were people working and just hanging out. GLOWS:-The green juices were pretty tasty.-The shop is located within a small park, so the location is very cute. GROWS:-They are on the expensive side.-I didn't care for the chia pudding. It was very dry

Always Houston staple coffee shop. The music is a little loud. They have upstairs and downstairs seating but watch out for the steep stair case. Lovely staff and ambiance with delicious drinks.

Well I was in the mood for a late breakfast and decided to try Another Broken Egg as it was close by and not as busy (no line) as it usually is when I drive by. This was mid morning on a Tuesday. Upon walking in I was greeted by very friendly staff. A nice lady asked if it was my first time here and when I confirmed it was she grabbed a small glass mug with something in it and said "I have something for you". I opted to sit at the bar since it was just me. At the bar I was greeted by two different servers consecutively both saying they were my server. I had ordered coffee from the first but seemed to be some confusion between them but that was quickly worked out and I got what I will say was a very good cup of coffee....fresh and hot...not like some places tasting old and just warm. I ordered the Supreme Omelet (Filled with sausage, bacon, onions and mushrooms, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese) with grits. The grits were great and a very large portion. The Omelet was a little dry but still good. I never found out what was in that mug as the waitress took it away...oh well. I'll also add that the restroom was very clean and smelled nice...not just a chemical smell but as though someone cared! That's always nice.

I love the ambience here. Very spacious coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This is a great place to go to grab a quick bite and catch up with friends or to catch up on work. The quiche here is to die for. Breakfast taco was ok. Theres quite a bit of food options on the menu for vegetarians and non vegetarians.

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good. The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

We always make a stop when in town, the bahn mi can't be beat here, tasty and great price. The bread is exactly how it should be, crispy on the outside but yet holds up with the sandwich within. The filling is perfect and just the right amount. The way the bahn mi is made, makes every bite just perfect. The place is cash only so be prepared with that if you want to grab a bunch of Bahn mi to eat. Though it won't set you back that much, around $5 or so for each bahn mi depending on the filling.

"Came here to try some yummy coffee and have breakfast. Ordered a vanilla oat milk latte and a breakfast sandwich with an over medium egg. Total came out to $28. A little pricey for a coffee shop in my opinion, however the service was great. Lots of staff were working and checking in throughout my stay. The coffee was delicious, truly would come back for a cup of that. The sandwich with hashbrowns was good. Egg cooked to perfection, but I just don't see myself paying $14+ for a sandwich at a coffee shop. They got a section with all the stuff needed to add to yur coffee, cream, sugar, works and then utensils and sauces for your food. I also saw they had a cereal/granola station that was pretty cute too."
"Good food from nice people in simple surroundings just off 59 north between Galeria and Medical Center. French fries are the best in Houston. The beef, rice and French fries plate, Lomo Saltado, I got a taste for during my last trip to Peru, is delicious and filling. Would have been better with a hearty red wine ;) but no alcohol sold here.Service is great. This is not fast food as each plate is made to order from fresh ingredients. The restaurant is clean and basic. Usually soccer on the small TVs. Family place where folks get together and enjoy home style Peru meals. They also sell lots of the tienda items you would get in Peru."
"I was in the area and decided to visit this spot. Love the vibe of this coffee shop. The music playing in the background was so chill, and the paintings throughout were so cool and unique (FYI - if you do like them and want to take these paintings home, you can purchase them). There were hanging plants above me and a lovely bookshelf display on the far wall. There was a bar with seating and outlets for people to do work here. That being said, parking here, as anywhere in downtown, is just a pain in the a**. Thankfully, street parking at the metered spots was free on Sunday. You'll have to pay during certain times from Monday thru Saturday to avoid being towed or ticketed. This is not to mention the area surrounding this coffeeshop can be quite sketchy. So, be careful with your belongings and try to park as close as possible. Or just take an Uber or Lyft here if you live close by. I perused their menu beforehand and decided to try out their lavender latte (hot) with oat milk. The barista did a good job with making this drink quite pleasant, as the lavender flavor wasn't overpowering and didn't taste like soap. But, I did wish I could taste more of the espresso in here. It wasn't caffeinated enough for me. Next time I'm in the area, I'll just order a plain flat white and add extra espresso shots as needed. Of note, they also serve pastries, kolaches, tacos, and quiches if you want to munch on something with your drink. One more thing to mention is that they seem to be one of the few coffee shops downtown open on a Sunday. Yay. So, if you're around the area, come and check them out."
"Loretta was our waitress. So friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast power bowl. Delish. The sausage gravy and biscuit wont disappoint! The portions are enormous. Baked bacon is tasty. I will be back. Friendly. Good food. Whats not to like!!!"
"Yes and Yes and Yes and Yes and an itty, bitty tiny no.Loved this place, food and Star Wars decor on point. Sad its taking me so long to try. So many soup/sandwich days gone that I can't get back. Small menu and venue, but quaint and easy to talk to people here. Came with a few friends and all orders were praised highly. Monday special grill cheese with a nice warm cup of tomato basil soup, YES. Meatball sub with a side of pesto salad, YES. Brewben with a Beer and a side of pesto salad, YES. Service and friendly patrons, YES. The spicy ginger slaw....the itty bitty tiny no. Though I heard it was popular, but none of us were fans.Need to stop by on a Wednesday for ppls choice sandwich, the Philly...everyone said it was there favorite."
"Came here with another for some Lebanese snacks and baked goods. I had heard many good things about this place, and it did not disappoint.Everything is made fresh to order. We selected an assortment of items including regular and fluffy kaak, lahme bil ajiin, falafel, meat pockets, veggie plate, butter sugar pie, and of course Turkish coffee. My favorite item was the regular kaak stuffed with sausage and olives. Yum! The fluffy one with just cheese was not bad, but it needed a better balance of textures and flavors. The lahme bil ajiin was interesting and delightful, a bit sour in taste with flavors I am not accustomed to. The bite sized meat pockets were tasty as well. The butter sugar pie was not a pie at all! It was a flakey pastry instead covered with a sweet syrup and sprinkled with crushed pistachios. It was just okay...The Turkish coffee though, that was tasty and packed quite the punch! It was my first time trying it and hopefully not my last, as it was quite enjoyable.Overall cool experience with some unique offerings I wouldn't find normally."
"In the area on business and decided to stop for lunch. We didn't know what to do when we first came in but figured it out by walking to the back corner and seeing the long counter. Perhaps we missed signage at the front that indicated procedure. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and hubby got a fish sandwich with fries (lunch special). The fish was flounder and beer battered. It's on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, and cheese. Fries were fresh cut. Both were very tasty. Only thing I would have done was squeeze lemon on and salt the fish. Ruben sandwich was FULL of corned beef on beautifully crispy rye bread with thousand island dressing and sour kraut as well as Swiss cheese. The onion rings were PERFECT! Crispy without the onions being burnt. Totally would go here again! Would love to try other menu items. Sad it's an hour drive from my house."
"Great service and good decent drinks, would definitely prefer this to Starbucks Bathrooms are clean and the place can be good for some one on one interactions!"
"Love this cozy place! They have great food and great service! Despite authenticity, the food tastes delicious! We had Pate, Duck confit, and steak. The service was great too! We will definitely come back again!"
"Badolina is such a cute place for a sweet treat! They were bustling with patrons on a Saturday morning both sitting indoors and enjoying the rare pleasant weather on their outside patio. My friends and I snagged a seat inside and enjoyed our lattes and mango mousse dessert. The counter service was very quick, bonus points for them giving out health care worker discounts!Their mango mousse had the perfect amount of sweetness and had a tasty guava center. Our lattes were perfect to wash it down with. I'd return to try more of their pastries!"
"Loved Citizens of Montrose! My hubby and I enjoyed our brunch here. We got their Barbie Bowl, blueberry pancakes, and their salmon avocado toast. For drinks we got their turmeric latte and dragon fruit mimosa. Everything we ordered was very fresh-tasting and so colorful! Our faves were their pancakes and Barbie Bowl. The pancakes were the fluffiest ever and the Barbie Bowl was very refreshing and not overly sweet. Service was very attentive and friendly. The interior lets in a lot of natural lighting. There's a small shared parking lot to the side. Will definitely return to try their espresso martini happy hour!"
"Clearly the Cafe' has been around for quite some time. I don't make to this area often. The cafe' was simple and quite inviting. I had the lunch turkey and cheese with a Caesar salad. It was pretty impressive for a sandwich. The ambiance in the cafe' was amazing. I had the tiramisu cake for dessert. Everything was exceptional. I'll know to stop by the next time I'm in the area. Do yourself a favor and try them out."
"Baby, Baby, Baby!! This place ain't no joke! If I tell you that this is a great spot to dine...whew! It's my first of many visits because I am a fan now. We came during breakfast time. The food was very delicious, and the service was really great. Our server Amanda was nice, knowledgeable, and quick. She smiled and had a great attitude. I had a vegetable omelette with grits that will blow your mind. Those grits were on point!! My daughter had the three meat omelette with hash browns, and we both had a pancake. If Yelp had sound, y'all would really feel my thoughts. Y'all don't let the building fool you either. It's pretty spacious but quant. Looks like your old school dinner. I will definitely be coming back to my new found jewel. If you're ever on this side, you might want to pop in. It's the real deal!!"
"Our purple smoothie was delicious and our green one was meh. The guys were super nice and there was a bunch leftover so they gave us two extra cups."
"Love this place! Has a bougie, upscale feel. Very clean. The pastries are pricier than other coffee shops.FOOD AND DRINK:Caffe latte with caramel syrup and whole milk - tasted very good. Served warm but not hot. Rating: 5/5Raspberry danish - this is in house made and tasted so good. The raspberries were fresh and on the sweeter side. It's like a croissant danish. Rating: 5/5Amaretto bundt cake - it has a light frosting on top but I barely tasted it. It's very moist and not that super sweet. It's a good cake but I don't love it. Rating: 4/5They have other pastries that are not listed on their online menu. And they do blended coffee drinks, which involves gelato and espresso shots.ATMOSPHEREI love the interior decor!! The chairs, pastel and warm colors, white ceiling mounted lights, tables, hexagon tiles, and marble just all together look elegant. I love that they use fresh flowers as a centerpiece on all tables. Adds a cute touch. They have some power outlets indoors along the lounge seats. It's a good place to do some work on a laptop or meet up with family or friends. Surprisingly, it's not freezing cold. The wifi speed is fast. There is also covered outdoor seating with big ceiling fans.SERVICEService is very good. They ask if you would like your pastry warmed. My friend ordered decaf coffee but it wasn't hot so they had to remake it and it was served hot. The waiter came back and made sure she was fine with it.Parking, just like many have mentioned, can be difficult depending on the time of the day. I was able to find free street parking at 12 pm on Thursday. Depending on the day, you might be able to park in the parking lot for free. Been in the area twice and haven't paid for parking so far. Will definitely come back to try more pastries!"
"I really wanted some Boba today but most are so far. I saw this place was 4 minutes away fromMe and decided to try it out! They have a very nice and cute space available!!! They were very friendly and very fast as well. I got the honey milk tea boba and it was soGood!!! Definitely want to go back and try other food and drink items!! They all look so good!!"
"Came on Labor Day and glad they were open on this holiday. Cute small place. I enjoyed my lox bagel on jalapeño bagel with a latte and my daughter had the sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The bagel is not overly thick or bready. It's light and flavorful. I inhaled my sandwich. They did run out of blueberry bagel when I came at 10:30am. Nice staff too."
"While they are known for their baked goods, one couldn't tell that it's also a great hidden gem for lunch! Used to work around the area and this bakery became a regular spot for me and some coworkers to go to for lunch. *Fun Fact* They are also the same bakery who made my wedding cakes!"
"Loved this family-run bakery in Katy. I tried the honey cake, the strawberry cream cheese kolache, and the spinach kolache. Everything was delicious! The honey cake was my favorite! It was not too sweet, and the layers of cake and cream were perfect. It didn't feel heavy, and I honestly could have eaten the whole thing in one sitting. The kolaches were so fresh. The cream cheese was homemade and paired well with the strawberries. Also kolaches are half off after 4 pm!Can't wait to come back and try more cakes and pastries."
"I am a fan of this place that is in a gas station. That cheesy goodness and they also make soup. It was a beef soup but it had yuca and green banana in it. I was I love and wanted a canister full. The place is small and they don't sell much but what they sell is tasty. The service is quick and with a smile. I will heir this place up if I am in the area again."
"Date night and I wanted to try out hookah for the first time.Open pretty late, we came here after drinks at Woosters. My date ordered the mixed grill kabob and a hot tea, He really liked it. We got a strawberry hookah and it was pretty cool. It does taste like strawberry. It was nice. They had live music the night we came and the singer had a very good voice. He sang in his native tongue and I enjoyed seeing the customers clap and dance. The majority of the customers were men. We were the only non Middle Easterners there. I'll probably go to a hookah joint again but somewhere more diverse. Cool place though. Very reasonable prices."
"We came to this cafe when we were running errands in the area and were catching up with friends. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this cafe. There were high and low tables, a couch, and another area with tables in a separate room for more privacy. Board games, like Scrabble, were piled high near the condiments section. Of note, I appreciated that they had condiments other than ketchup; I think they had Chalula, Tabasco, and sriracha too. We've ordered a few of their food items here. The womelette was ok. It was kind of dry and needed more vegetables inside. The caprese sandwich was ok as well. Their chicken quesadillas were actually tasty because their chicken was moist and well seasoned. This came with a side of their freshly made guacamole. We also enjoyed their dirty chai latte, which had just the right amount of spices in it. Next time, I'll get an extra espresso shot in it. Overall, I enjoyed coming here and will visit again when I'm in the area."
