"After cruising the Chicago River and staring at The Bean from afar (...the surrounding area is under renovation), Jamie W. and I were ready to wet our whistles at 4PM when this place opens. Perfect timing because we were at the front of a gradually growing line. We felt like Liza and Bianca at Studio 54 waving at the wannabes. It's a subterranean space, darkly lit and impeccably tiki.We secured a fairly large round table and browsed the voluminous menu which included both tiki classics and modern variations. Jamie first went for the $16 Coconut Midnight Stinger, an enticing tropical choice with coconut-infused single barrel bourbon, fernet branca, toasted coconut, and lemon (photo: https://yelp.to/0KmLBoCZWn). I was bold and ordered the $25 Royal Hawaiian. It was pricey because it was a vertical tiki cocktail presented as an elaborate horizontal production with London dry gin, almond orgeat, lemon, and pineapple mixed together and poured over crushed ice. It was pure delight with the smoking dry ice a nice touch (video: https://yelp.to/g38-lwDQiO). We thought we should eat something before embarking on a second round. We settled on the $15 Thai Fried Chicken which were honestly larger-size, panko-encrusted chicken nuggets tossed in a sweet Thai chili sauce (photo: https://yelp.to/b9d0y-wIXU). They were the right savory complement to the sweet cocktails. We were ready for Round 2, and Jamie went for the familiar $16 Painkiller, a truly topical blend of Caribbean rums, tangerine, pineapple, and coconut (photo: https://yelp.to/qKYYRCpi-U).It was the most traditional of the cocktails. For my finale, I decided to get the appropriately dusky $16 Coffee Grog, an intoxicating mix of Caribbean rums, Creole shrub, espresso, coconut, and cinnamon (photo: https://yelp.to/pgmU4thU-t). It was just the right way to end our tropical adventure in the middle of Chicago, and Abi was the perennially sunny server who helped make it happen.COCKTAILS - 5 stars...creative concoctions in true tiki packagingFOOD - 4 stars...solid bar bites, need to try moreAMBIANCE - 5 stars...evocative decor without treading into kitschSERVICE - 5 stars...Abi was a font of positive vibesTOTAL - 5 stars...a truly exceptional tiki bar, an unexpected Chicago findRELATED - Exploring Chicago? "Straight up DELICIOUS AND AWESOME STAFF!1st I need to give a shout out to Zoey for accommodating myself and service dog. He was super well behaved and enjoyed being out of the car from the last 2days. Food was excellent and far cry from what you will get in Sarasota. Have to say the Pork Belly Skewer was my favorite!"

"I came here for dinner and the food was amazing! I had the chicken ramen and shrimp bao buns! Both items were a 10/10 I was extremely blown away how tasty the food was and I have tried many ramen places but this was by far one of the best. The waiter was extremely attentive and helpful with navigating us through the menu and what he would recommend and why based on what we had a taste for that night specifically. The ambiance is for a mature adult vibe not for young children, they also have a drink menu as well if you're looking for a tasty cocktail or beer my go to is the Sapporo beer."
"Located very closely to Millenium Park! A bit hidden away, but a very spacious restaurant that's great for groups. My cousin told me this was ome of her favorites, and I can see why :) A cool spot to checkout while in Downtown Chicago.Egg Drop Soup with Straw Mushroom (4/5): A little bland, but big portions for the price! They don't skimp on the mushrooms too. A pretty comforting soup that started our meal.Roast Pork Belly (5/5): SOOOO JUICY! I loved this. Thick cuts of pork. Good quality and the skin is crispy too. I think that this was a big highlight of my meal. Tea & Tea (5/5): The bartender has a HEAVY HAND and I'm here for it. They didn't skimp on the alchol in this. It reminded me of a massive green tea shot or a midori sour. Great drink!Chicken Feet with Special Sauce (5/5): The sauce was really tasty! Each chicken foot was tender and well steamed. Savory and each piece soaked up all the flavor! Probably the best item on the menu!Rice Noodle Rolls (3/5): These noodle rolls were too thick for me :( I wish that they were thinner and highlighted the contents inside more. The shrimp was cooked well and the Youtiao soaked up the sweet soy sauce perfectly. Just a bummer about the noodles."
"My first time trying this restaurant. Our friends had suggested it for brunch. It's a beautiful casual place with indoor and outdoor patio seating. We sat outside for the weather is nice. The menu offers a variety of fusion Asian popular dishes. Our group decided to share a couple appetizers, the guacamole dip, doughnuts, kimchi hash, and sweet longanza. All were good, but we all decided the guacamole dip was the best. Kimchi hash was a bit dry and hardly tasted the kimchi. For mains we ordered the Mott burgers, salmon torta, kimchi fried rich, and shared coconut Pancakes. The burgers were delicious! I was surprised they had a spicy kick to them. The kimchi fried rich was delicious and the coconut Pancakes were a good dessert. The unique flavors in the hibiscus butter and syrup was good! We were all so full. The drinks we had were ok. I was disappointed with the lychee margarita. It just tasted like a regular margarita but they just added the lychee as garnish. I was hoping they would combine the flavors. I just ate the lychee to acquired the sweetness otherwise the marg is sour. Overall, this was a good place to try different varieties of Asian dishes."
"Yum! This little place is serving up some very tasty grub. The Shrimp Po' Mi, a kind of fusiony po boy, was calling my name; I chose the grilled shrimp and, with the Asian slaw and chipotle mayo, it all came together nicely. I would get that sammie again. We shared the sweet potato fries, and those were great too. I don't usually like stuff on my fries, but the sauce, cheese and scallions really did enhance these crispy morsels. I tried a bite of my husband's guajillo pork bahn mi, and that is something I would order. Everything I ate was really good, maybe cravably so. This place has a great menu, with soups, rice bowls, sandwiches and salads to choose from. I'll most definitely return."
"We got:French-style Beef TenderloinSalted Egg Yolk ShrimpHong Kong style Soft Shell CrabSmoked Tea-Flavored DuckBraised Beef Brisket w/ Chinese DaikonLaksa LobsterOyster w/ XO sauceExcellent hole in the wall Cantonese restaurant. I would recommend any of the items I ordered. The French style beef tenderloin looks simple but is executed perfected. They'll make seafood with homemade salted egg yolk which you won't find at most of the other Chinese restaurants. The smoked tea flavored duck was so soft and amazing. Get the giant oyster with XO sauce because that's also pretty unique. I love laksa in general and it was delicious on the perfectly cooked lobster.Manager was very nice and conversed with us. Very passionate about her restaurant. I like how clean the space is."
"10/10 fast casual experience. Service is always fast and friendly. The flavor combinations offered are delicious (my personal fav is ordering a bowl with both CJ's BBQ sauce & Creamy Cashew sauce). Large portions. SO MANY vegetarian options. They are eco friendly; offering either compostable or reusable containers. To top it off, Brightwok also supports various nonprofits around the community & even recognizes high performing Chicagoland students via gifting complimentary bowls for A's on exams. If you live/work nearby.. this should be your daily lunch spot. I am always happy to support this local business."
"Came here with my husband as we were wanting some sushi or Japanese style food. I've been wanting to come here since working downtown a while back, and since we were nearby we decided to finally go. Place was pretty empty when we came, but more diners came as we were finishing our meal. Service was good yet standard. Place had a nice chill ambience, and plenty of seating. I ordered a nigiri plate, and appreciated that I was able to ask that the sushi chef not prepare a certain fish for me, as well as making a substitution on my roll. My husband order a cod, and said he thoroughly enjoyed it. My sushi was fresh and the presentation was beautiful. A nice place to sit down and have some sushi or other Japanese dishes in Streeterville."
"Came back to Serai but got take out this time. We got the beef rendang, chicken panang curry, mee goreng, and pulut hitam. Everything was delicious! The panang curry was nuttier than I expected but still good. The beef rendang had a strong lime leaf flavor along with other spices which we enjoyed. Most pieces of beef were tender and soft but a little bit dry. These two dishes went great with white rice. The mee goreng was strong in flavor and almost a bit too salty. Noodles were nice and thick. The dessert was also delicious, black sticky rice with some savory coconut milk - a little salty and a little sweet!I do wish they had another staff as we saw our takeout order on the table but there was no one to ask for utensils, we had to wait a bit with no staff in sight."
"I'm kind of glad the other En Hakkore location closed. Although the food was good there, I wasn't a big fan of their takeout only and no interaction with staff setup. The food at this location is just as good with much more options. My son ordered their tacos again, and my wife also order their Beef Bibimbap again. Both tasted just as good as the first time. I ordered their Crunch & Fire Sushi Burrito this time around. I've always wanted to try a sushi burrito and I'm glad I finally got to try one. It was really delicious but somewhat difficult to eat without using the wrapper to hold everything together. Would definitely order it again though."
"This place has every kind of Asian food you could want, which is nice as a crowd pleaser. The ambiance is a fun brightly lit environment, and the service was decently quick. I got a margarita and eventually a glass ofCabernet, and I wouldn't recommend either. We started with the poutine, which was decent in flavor (I'm not usually a fan of poutine though) and a big portion. We also got some sushi - the sloopin on the big island platter. This was my personal favorite dish and was another large portion. The pad see ewe with beef was standard, and the spicy Kung pao chicken was also standard. Nothing special but all satisfying huge portions. The Korean short ribs was decent actually as well. I would describe this restaurant as a bit Americanized since there's no real Asian specialty (they just have every cuisine), but still has a bit of authenticity to all the dishes."

We ended up going here on a rainy day and decided to check out this cute tiki bar! Walking into the bar is super cool and it's a fun experience just getting to the table. Once we sat down, we ended up ordering a group drink for all of us to share - I believe the Bali Bali which was delicious! This drink was strong and came with lots of dry ice so getting the drink was super fun experience. Everyone also got their own straw which was awesome!Overall the experience was really fun and I enjoyed a great time with the girls!

My FAVORITE meal during our time in Chicago. I was lucky enough to grab a reservation during our weekend in town and I'm so happy I was able to. We had a 9:45pm seating and did omakase. Super cute and intimate restaurant setting. We didn't sit at the bar, but they placed us in a booth which worked with us. We had the BEST food and the BEST server. For a ten course omakase, this was GREAT value. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating in all ways possible. He mentioned that it would be a challenge to finish all ten courses and I immediately said, "challenge accepted." And...a challenge it was. I got full halfway through the meal! I enjoyed all of the courses, except the "main," which felt pretty out of place. I was not a fan of takoyaki and pork belly. It was super fatty. The fish/seafood, however, were spectacular. Since we were there near closing, they were rushing a bit to get our ten courses out so they can close the kitchen. At one point, I had so many dishes on my table... it was off-putting, but I get it.All in all, definitely get your reservations in! You won't regret it. I'm absolutely returning.

This is the best ramen in Chicago--maybe even the world! Everything here is homemade and fresh, with flavors that will blow your mind. The depth and complexity of their broth are unmatched, and their pork? It's on another level--perfectly tender, savory, and drenched in the most umami-packed marinade.Honestly, nothing else even comes close!

We were downtown and wanted to get a bite of food. Parking was already paid for so opted for Chinese. I have been wanting to try this establishment. I always see trusted Yelp elites going to eat at this location and so I had it saved in my phone for a while. On this night we did not have a reservation and arrived proximally about 7:30 PM on a Friday evening. We were promptly set at a table when the main lobby. I will say that I really enjoy the food, the price is, and the ambiance. On this evening the restaurant probably was 40% full. They just extended their hours to 10 PM and so maybe that's why it wasn't that packed. This restaurant is located in the same building as Mariano's on the fourth level. There is parking attached to the Mariano's however I'm not sure if the restaurant will give you validation. We started out with a cocktail, I got the Mai Tai which was good and my husband got the Long Island iced tea. Overall those were ok they weren't poured very heavy which can sometimes be disappointing when you like a stiff drink on a Friday night. For appetizers we got the barbecue bun and the crab rangoons. I enjoyed both of those my husband was not wild by the barbecue buns. For our main meal selection I ordered the garlic beef which was served with plenty of onions red and green peppers and some type of black bean sauce. I enjoyed this dish however I thought it was very heavy on the vegetables and that probably need a little bit more beef sirloin. Ultimately my husband got his go to Chinese dish, which is orange chicken. I got to try some of the orange chicken and it was flavored very well and featured a lot of white breast meat. Overall this dish was very yummy and the sauce was not heavy. We enjoyed our experience at this fine establishment and will return in the near future. I like this little section of the loop. I think the neighborhood is called Lake Shore East which is super cute. Only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars is because ordering was a little wonky. They have these apple tablets at all tables however you can only look at the menu and select things but ultimately a server has to finalize your order. I felt like the service at this restaurant while fast was a little lacking. For instance, we tried to order crab rangoons but the ipad was gone. We flagged down one server and asked. Item didn't come. Found another server and he put our order in. First server either didn't understand or didn't put in our order. So seemed to be a slight language barrier but the food is really good and I don't think that should distract you from checking this location out. Major plus is that they have dim sum all night.

Food - 5/5Service - 5/5Ambience - 4/5Value - 4/5Our waiter was very nice and gave fantastic recommendations. The food came out quickly. Everything was great, but definitely get the mushrooms! Such rich flavor, I could have eaten spoonfuls of the miso butter sauce. The tables were close together and the a/c was blasting on my back, but we didn't have to yell to have a conversation.

Saucy Porka is a solid lunch / takeout spot in the Loop for creative Vietnamese & Latin American fusion. Though overall, it's a bit pricey for the portions (which aren't that large), it offers pretty fair and standard prices for the Loop area. As for Banh mis, so far I've tried the Ropa Vieja Beef Banh Mi, Cheesy Buddha Banh Mi, Soy Ginger Tofu Banh Mi. The banh mis are creative and unique, but tasted pretty average overall. The Ropa Vieja Beef was very flavorful with the meat seasoning and kimchi flavor combo, but the beef was a little dry and the sandwich itself was really soggy. The Cheesy Buddha and Soy Ginger Tofu banh mis were both pretty solid, but neither really stood out for me. I also tried the Tofu, Duck, and Grilled Shrimp Bacos. The tofu baco tasted pretty standard. The duck baco was good, but a bit lacking in flavor, unfortunately. The grilled shrimp taco was my favorite, pairing very well with the sauce and corn toppings for a nice tangy flavor. I've both gotten takeout and dined in here. It's very casual and you sit wherever there's space. The takeout orders are usually filled pretty fast and wrapped nicely.-- Price (relative to peers): 4.1/5Food: 4.1/5Ambience: N/AService: N/AOverall Value: 4.1/5

Brightwok kitchen is easily one of my favorite places to grab lunch in the city! I've tried multiple sauces over the past few visits and everything has been so tasty and fast:) my favorite one is probably the Thai basil but tbh you can't go wrong with any of them! The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable and the restaurant is very well maintained! I can't wait to come again soon

"This was our first visit to Hakuya Sushi for my mother's birthday and it was a good experience overall! Our server was very attentive and helpful in recommending certain dishes; we ordered a variety of appetizers and some special rolls, including the spicy tuna, king dragon, and mango gaga. The rolls are absolutely massive compared to other sushi venues, so I would order conservatively at first and decide if you need more. We ordered entrees of udon, chirashi, and whaeduhbop (korean sashimi salad over rice); unfortunately there was a hair in the whaeduhbop, but it appeared to be an honest mistake and the server apologized / re-ordered the dish. Aside from that little mishap, the food was great and the service was excellent - Best,Charlie"
"This place's name confused me for the longest time - like, it's called Pho's, but that's traditionally a Vietnamese dish. But this place specializes in Thai food. BUT - they actually do have Pho on the menu? Well anyway, what they're really known for is great Thai food...but you also can't ignore the "Spicier" in their name.I like heat in my food, but you need to heed their warnings here. I usually go with "Mild Plus", which would probably equate to a level above medium at most other spots. Of course if you were nuts you could try for their spice challenges, but I find it more enjoyable to watch other people attempt them.Pretty much everything is good here. I usually go for the pad khe mao, parang curry or green curry, and have never been disappointed. Their lunch specials are amazing too, as you get a small soup and egg roll with your food, and is usually my go to when I forget to do groceries before the week starts. The actual location is pretty tightly packed, but other than that it's a great mainstay of the area and a spot worthy journeying out to this small spot of Lakeview for."
"Here is yet another place for sushi in a city full. If looking for a chill hip place to get this delicacy, come here. Sushi X is just east of the Expressway on Chicago Avenue close to the Blue Line station. Just so happened to be around here so it was convenient. They had just opened up for lunch so we came in and got a table. As with many of these sushi restaurants, there's a menu of contemporary and more traditional rolls, most with some kind of fish. It has a few vegetarian ones. This made choosing pretty easy though. It's $5 for most rolls, which is good. We got an Avocado Roll and a Spinach Roll. Both were awesome. The Avocado Roll was pretty typical, except this one had sesame seeds. Basically if you've had one this isn't much different, but you know what you're getting. The Spinach Roll was more unique. It's seasoned with garlic, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. This was the first time we ever had this type. Good enough. The spinach thankfully wasn't wilted like we thought it could have been like. Cool little place for sushi and some other appetizers. It closes between lunch and dinner Mondays to Fridays. They're open for dinner only on the weekends."
"Kinta Sushi has one of those unassuming store fronts since it's tucked away in a small strip mall next to a convenient store and Chinese buffet, but they're actually pretty legit. We came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty, so it seems to be more of a take out spot. The portions are fairly generous at the price point and we've always had a good experience. All the servers are always hustling and make sure drinks are always topped off and the food comes out quickly. As someone with a more Americanized palate who doesn't typically eat more traditional sashimi/nigiri, I usually stick to the deep-fried specialty rolls. The King Kong and Miami rolls are my personal favorites. The other rolls our group usually recommends are the Cry Cry, Love Love, and Atlantic rolls.Overall, Kinta is a super reliable, local sushi spot. They are a small business with hard-working employees so I'd recommend to give them a shot."
"We came here for a group dinner to celebrate a visit from some out of town extended family. It was a headcount of 28 meaning a 3 table reservation on a very busy Saturday night here. With a week's notice, there really aren't a lot of choices for staying out in the NW suburbs and hosting a big group for authentic Chinese. But MingHin worked and they got the job done for us. Our outing was in the ok category. We pre-ordered a customized menu, and a thank you to manager Jeff who helped us with this. Dishes like the stir-fried lobster, ribeye steak with mixed mushrooms, string beans with minced pork, salt-and-pepper shrimp with no shells, Mandarin pork chops, and steamed large mouth bass were very good. Dishes like the Chinese whole fried chicken and Peking duck were a little dry, looked slightly undersized, and could have been better. The Peking duck buns were warm and delectable though and the grand-darlings would have eaten them all if we let them lol. The udon noodles with shredded duck meat was a bit salty. The seafood and tofu soup was ok. We requested a big bowl of white rice but should have done so at the get-go instead of after the halfway point. Service was adequate but pretty impersonal with rotating servers. It was busy for everyone but also quite a fun and festive atmosphere. We all had a good time catching up and were never rushed. Overall, I'll go with 3.49 stars rounded down to 3 for this outing."
"I heard about this restaurant from a YouTube tourist vlog on Chicago. Decided to give it a try while visiting Chicago, so glad we did ! Food was awesome, we were craving for some nice vegetarian food and this place didn't disappoint. It's close to River walk and many restaurants on that street . Service was good and cauliflower tofu sauté was sooo delicious ( tasted like Indian Chinese fusion food) , sushi was delicious and noodles were ok . Didn't like the momo dumplings, very soggy and green chutney on top of dumplings was tasting that well .Drinks were so refreshing and well presented..But we loved everything else we tried . If you are a tourist and looking for flavorful Asian fusion definitely give it a try ."
"Had a blast at the hibachi table with a group of 4 that included kids! They have a kids menu which was great and still was essentially the same amount if food as the adult portions. I tried the salmon which came with 2 filets. It was great and there was plenty to take home for leftovers. The service was great and the kiddos loved the show!"
"Great meal! Service was fantastic, the drinks were good, and the ambiance was perfect. My only complaint was they were out of the wagyu beef entree. My dining companion is Filipino and raved about her chirashi. I had teriyaki chicken with buttered veggies and it was tasty. We also enjoyed scallion pancakes."
"MingHin is one of my favorite spots in Chicago. I can always count on this place for a great meal and a nice dining experience. We love their dim sum and noodle dishes. Reasonably priced given their location. You order on an iPad and there are photos of everything if you aren't familiar."
"I started searching for new sushi places in Lincoln Square with Sushi Tokoro being temporarily closed for a long time and Rolls N Bowls is now my new favorite sushi place in Lincoln Square. I've ordered carryout two times here and I found the sushi to be great! Prices are competitive and the portion sizes are big, which make it a good bang for your buck unlike Miku Sushi down the street. The sushi is better quality than Sushi Tokoro, but Sushi Tokoro is still the best AYCE sushi joints I've had in the city. I'm a big fan of the nigiri plate, which I found to be very fresh and very filling. All of their rolls are super creative especially the Love Roll! My favorite rolls so far are the Love Roll and the Mexican Roll. The Mexican Roll was actually pretty spicy and I love spicy food. My second order from them was about 40 minutes late as the employees opened late, but they gave me free miso soup for the inconvenience. I haven't dined in as they are carryout only during the pandemic, but the place is BYOB and it looks super small. They probably only have about 6 tables and can maybe seat about 20 people. Service has been solid even with the long wait time and I look to order more sushi from them in the future."
"Came to get lunch at this unassuming Asian restaurant on Division. It turned out to only be doing takeout so I got it to go. Silli Kori is casually elegant and certainly it's not silly. Has pretty good prices for the quality. There's lunch specials and many things for any preferences of tastes. At lunch is the best time to come. It had pretty affordable lunch specials going on. This is only for weekdays. Has a lot to choose from. It's about $9 for the cheapest specials. Pick a noodle or rice. Then choose a protein. It's a few bucks or more for each. This then comes with a side. Add a few more bucks if wanting a soup. The one I got was the woonsen noodles, and I got it with tofu. Appetizer was the vegetable tempura. The noodles were those glassy ones and came with a good variety of vegetables. Carrots, long beans, and more. This was a good amount for the cheap price. Has only dinner on Sundays, but the rest of the week also has lunch. It only does takeout earlier so plan ahead about when to go make an order. There's plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians."
"All in all a very average experience. The chicken coconut soup was tasty but lacking in substance. 90% liquid. The shrimp pad thai was quite good. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars as compared to other Thai restaurants.Service was fast and friendly, but unfortunately the soup came out at the same time as the pad thai. I was literally the only customer in the restaurant. Timing appetizer and entree delivery would not have been that difficult. The dining room is clean and comfortable. It's in a basement. Not sure how a disabled person would get in here."
"Happy anew Year! We have not been here since the pandemic. We were driving by and say let's have lunch here they have lunch specials. When we walked inside they got rid of all their old booths and now they have wooden tables and chairs where the booths used to be. It looks nice. My husband ordered the BBQ Fried Rice lunch special and chose egg rolls for his appetizer. The serving size is smaller and yet is very filling! He says it is mild which he loves and tasted great! He would definitely order it again. I ordered the Beef Pho with egg rolls as my appetizer too. As always the food here is delicious and fresh. I added all the toppings and it was flavorful enough that I did not even have to add any of the sauces on the table. If your in the area and looking for something warm and delicious to fill your belly in the winter... stop in and give this restaurant a try! You will not be disappointed! Especially coming during lunch! Our bill was only $22.43 before tip which is amazing! Hi"
"I have walked past this place several times and I know it is a good sign when it is always packed. I went with a friend and they move quickly and service is always super friendly. I ordered the beef salad and the boat noodles and both were amazing! My friend and I shared the crab rangoons and they were super cute and delicious. This was my first good thai restaurant that I've tried in Chicago and I will definitely be coming back. This is a great place to go on a date or just get dinner to catch up with friends."
"My favorite neighborhood restaurant! Beef with basil leaves for me and my son loves the chicken with rice Allysa and her staff are amazing."
"Lao Sze Chuan has been around here for several years but it took a visit to Chinatown for me to try it out, and luckily we have one nearby because we ordered from here a couple weeks later. They do more authentic Chinese food (chicken feet, other things that I won't eat) but their dry chili chicken is my favorite. It's spicy without being overwhelming. Potstickers are ok though they are probably ones that just come out of a bag and I can make myself. Portion sizes are good; I've had leftovers the couple times I've been here, which is good because the price is a little steep for this to become an everyday Chinese place for me. Parking is street only so if you can, it'd be better to use the Red Line or some other form of public transport to get here."
"We stopped in for Happy Hour drinks and snacks and were well pleased.Nobu is known for delicious, very expensive, trendy sushi. I like those things but I am also fond of a bargain. We ordered sushi rolls ($3 off) and enjoyed some of the butteriest salmon ever. My cocktail was $12 instead of $19 (!!!) and was delicious. The food was great, the bartender was cool, my drink was good and the savings were present. All boxes checked."
"Solid choice for Vietnamese noodles. The space is nice and open and could accommodate larger groups nicely. The a/c could have been a bit cooler as it was one of the hotter/humid days of the summer, but acceptable. We had the tendon, brisket and tripe noodle soup which was a big hit. The soup was flavorful, complex and had so many different flavors going on in it. Also ordered a side of extra noodles $1.5 which definitely needed as my family shared the dishes together. The vermicelli lemon grass pork salad was a really filling serving size and had a blast of flavor from the fish sauce dressing. Perfect for a hot day dish. Wish the spring rolls could have been cut to smaller size to make it easier to eat as I mixed the noodles together. The food was good and a big plus is that there is parking in the rear. This is one where I'll be back."
"Back again for another Shine update... this place really deserves a higher rating :). We've gotten Shine 3/4 times just in the last month and a half.. and every time it has been great! No issues with the order in a while, and the front desk hostess is always SUCH a ray of light! So sweet and knowledgeable. My favorite roll is still the Akuma Maki.... you just gotta try it. My new other favorite roll is the Tochigi Maki which is a spicy tuna roll wrapped in slices of mango and avocado with a sweet and spicy sauce- OMG. It is so good?! I don't know how Shine has all these delectable glazes/sauces for their rolls.. but it just works. My order of course isn't complete without the crab rangoon too... I devour all four with the sweet and sour sauce, quickly. :)All in all... this will continue to be one of my favorite take-out sushi spots."
"Fine if you're in the area.Based on the reviews, I wasn't expecting amazing things from Dib. I was really in it for the company, not the food.I checked out the website before dinner to get a fell for what I'd like. The landing page is a bit of a hot mess - dark grey with black text, a menu link that 404s. If you want a peek at the menu, choose one of the ordering options. We started out with crab rangoon and edamame. The crab rangoon was probably my favorite part of the meal and a standout compared to others I've had.For my main, I got two rolls - Black and White and Untitled. Both were marked spicy, but neither was really. The super white tuna seemed cooked, poached maybe which wasn't in the description. It was fine, but probably not something I'd order again. I preferred the Untitled, but the texture of the seared spicy tuna on top was a little strange. I'm not sure if it wasn't seared enough or something else. Honestly, I wouldn't have guessed it was seared had I not revisited the menu. The portions for both rolls was generous and I was quite full. The place is BYOB, which was nice and staff was friendly. They didn't rush us out as they closed for the evening. Aside from sushi, they have Thai dishes as well.Bottom line, it won't be the most amazing sushi you've ever had."
"I had made reservations for 4, but the kids canceled on us last minute. I called in to change the reservation from 4 to 2, and had no problem doing that. This place was pretty full when we arrived and it seemed like they had stop taking people in. So make a reservation if at all possible, because you might not have any luck if you try to come in as a walk in. We were originally planning on ordering a la carte, but somehow convinced ourselves to do the All You Can Eat. There's a lot of rules and regulations on this, but don't order like an idiot and you'll be fine. The max is two items per person at a time, and that's honestly enough for one sitting. Where you have to be careful is ordering a bunch of appetizers. Don't be a dumbass like myself. The thing is they offer all the popular Asian appetizers. Crab rangoon, fried dumplings, lumpia and a bunch of other popular ones. Yea I did order the ones mentioned. I couldn't help myself. They were all good except for the lumpia. Not the greatest and definitely wouldn't order it again. For the meats, we ordered beef only. We got Ribeye, chadolbaegi, spicy beef bulgogi, and Kalbi. They were all good except for maybe the chadobaegi. It's a brisket cut; but just cut way to think and lacked any flavor. I also ordered their Thai fried rice and it comes in a big bowl. So definitely a lot of food. They also literally all my favorites Asian dishes so it was difficult to choose the right mix. Have to focus on just meat next time. Will definitely be returning."
"Pho Lover is a great Vietnamese restaurants. This restaurant is relatively new and deserves to be visited if you enjoy Vietnamese food. The first thing that you will notice is how beautiful this restaurant is. A lot of attention went into the decor. There are two very very big trees in the middle of the restaurant near the entrance. The walls are also very gorgeously decorated. The food was just as fancy. We ordered the Jumbo Pho Dac Biet (with a braised bone in beef short rib, extra meat and noodle). The short rib was fall off the bone tender. The broth was fantastic. Add the fresh bean sprouts and basil and it is super flavorful. We also ordered the Bun Combo and Egg Roll (with beef, shrimp and lemongrass pork). This was also a hit. The fish oil dressing was great. The shrimp and pork were amazing. I highly recommend Pho Lover. I will be coming back to try more of their menu."
"The Green Room has been a favorite of my family and I for years! It's always delicious when we go. The food and drinks are amazing! We love the bang bang shrimp (they are gluten free too!), the mussels, the fish with the butter sauce (it's usually a special), and the general tso chicken. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here! It used to be a Chinese restaurant so hence the Chinese inspired dishes. It gets packed around 7pm so be sure to make a reservation. Although small, the ambiance is really cozy and upbeat. The service is also great. We will keep coming to The Green Room for years to come! We very loyal!!"
