"This place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. It's really cute inside. They communicated to our group an approximate wait time and sat us within that time frame. The service was quick once we ordered our food. It was delicious and we ordered a lot! The pan fried rice noodles were semi-addicting. The crisp on the outside of the sesame balls was light, not over cooked, and they had a moist chewiness to it; a different bean or maybe lighter in color than what I'm accustomed to, but still good flavor. The flavors for the dim sum dishes we ordered were all great! The price was awesome for a group of 5. Don't burn your esophagus as you eat the hot and sour soup. It was so good, but it came out piping hot! Loved it!None from our group ordered any alcohol, but it seemed like they had a legit bar available. And the bathroom was clean for such an old building. Hope you enjoy your meal there, as we all did. Would definitely return here when we are in SF again. They had a funny chalkboard sign that said something along the lines of food and whiskey, what else do you need?!?Agree!"
"I went here for Valentine's day. I highly recommend the spring garlic pappardelle pasta!! I never knew spring garlic could have so much flavor and complement the pasta and the tender wagyu meat. The pizza was amazing as well, but I didn't enjoy the Funghi pizza as much. The clash of flavours was overwhelming. I opted for a lighter dessert option after indulging in carbs, as the desserts at this establishment are exceptional. The gelato and sorbet will definitely help with that, and it is delicious! Great spot for date night!"

"Didn't get to visit Aliment but we had them cater for an event at a different location and they brought their sliders- SO GOOD.There was a good variety of sliders, with juicy patties, and a bun to match. After getting to try them, they are definitely on my list of places to visit on my next visit to SF!"
"The dishes here are fresh and change based on seasonal vegetables, which I really appreciate. I love that they use what's in season--it adds to the quality and flavor. The presentation is absolutely gorgeous, and the pricing reflects that level of detail. The restaurant can get pretty packed since it's located at the end of Santana Row, but you can always make a reservation to secure a spot. The interior is just as stunning as the food, creating a beautiful dining atmosphere.Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a gathering if you enjoy high-end Mediterranean cuisine!"
"Nice boujee viet food!I will say I was on the fence about eating out and paying more than $ for viet food outside or SJ or my family home. However, Bodega was a great experience!Highlights: the Pandan sponge cake (and I want to say coconut or lychee gelato..?) made our jaws drop. The banh cuon was also delish and tasted fresh (highly recommend if you want to explore Viet dishes outside of just pho or eggrolls)!Other notes: - check out the Felix (attached speak easy) while you wait!- it's pretty hard to get in without a reservation. We were turned away the first time and came back a later day with a reservation."
"I've been wanting to try this place since they opened in downtown San Mateo and my first experience wasn't a pleasant one. Back in 2023, I had emailed them to reserve a table for 12 people for a celebration reunion with my classmates from the Philippines. Thought this restaurant it would be ideal (for obvious reasons), but nobody ever got back to me. Even calls to speak with the manager went nowhere. I had to reserve another venue, and I finally received a response from them after the planned reunion. In a nutshell, the excuse given was they were busy and will use it as a learning experience.Water under the bridge so moving on, I decided to take the Wifey here for dinner back in November of last year with the two dogs in tow. We didn't have reservations, so the only option was to dine on their parklet. We didn't mind the cold, as long as we had a nice heater to keep us warm. We ordered the following:Pork Sisig ($27 with egg +$2) Seasoned pork, chopped and sauteed with spices on a sizzling plate. Looking at the picture, let me state the obvious: the egg yolk was already broken, and it was already cooked. They didn't even allow us the experience of mixing the egg with the rest of the dish, and the taste was mid at best. The texture of the pork was also flossy as it wasn't the typical sisig that I'm used to. Crispy Pata ($39.50) They describe it as crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. All true, but at this price point, I wanted it to wow me. It was lacking in flavor, and it was cooked inconsistently with some chunks of meat being too hard. Nothing too special, and you can get a similar dish at other Filipino restaurants at half the price. Sinigang ($11) Veggies and broth only. This hits the spot as the sourness of the broth was just right and it warmed us on a cold, chilly night. Pinakbet ($23) Stir-fried string beans, eggplant, bittermelon, okra, squash, shrimp, pork, shrimp paste and topped with chicharrones. This was the best-tasting food among the dishes that we ordered. All the ingredients complemented each other as it was well-balanced. As far as service goes, it was also inconsistent as we were initially told that we could sit at a table near the door but then changed it to the parklet as that table was reserved. Our server also changed (understandable) that caused us to wait on a request that we had to repeat. All in all, there were hits and misses and a mix bag of everything else from my very first experience to the most recent one. I'm still giving them 3 stars, and that's being generous since I want them to improve, be more consistent and be better. Hopefully on our next visit."
"This pasta was tasty! I added chicken for it to be extra filling which was perfect, I was pretty hungry :)It was a little oilier at the bottom so it was hard to eat but otherwise it has a good cheese flavor which was very delicious! There's quite a lot of searing especially for big parties, there's a bar downstairs I believe. Our waiter was super kind and attentive to our needs."
"2/7/25 - My friends and I have been wanting to go here and finally did! It had soooo many iconic Vietnamese dishes like bánh khọt, trạo tôm, nem nướng etc. The staff were so attentive despite being busy and worked so hard to answer our questions and help us! The restaurant was also decorated so beautifully too. We got bánh khọt, nem nướng on sugar cane, and fish sauce chicken for starters. All were sooo delicious! We also got their phở and five spice chicken dry phở. Their coconut coffee was pretty good too! I'd recommend going here to anyone! Excellent experience!"
"If you're looking for delicious authentic Indian food, and amazing customer service then New Delhi is the spot!! I truly enjoyed all the options they had to offer on their menu. I love how they cater to all diets such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, you name it!We arrived during their opening time and found street parking close by, and seen there was a bar at the front of the restaurant. The bar was a vibe too! The restaurant is gorgeous with beautiful pillars! So much history in there as explained by Chef Ranjan. I'll be back!"
"Great fresh food. Great service. The owner of many years is there to greet you. Love this place!"
"Y'all should have this coffee!!!!!! Amazing! Usually, I get a stomachache after drinking a cup of coffee if they are left for a while after brewing or are too much acidic. Here, it is different. (idk why tell me why :shrug) The staff says "it's a simple dark roast."It is fun to see the gigantic siphon used for water brewing. There are other 5 or 6 coffee mills and/or brewing machines for each purpose behind the counter."
"Do you bowl? I cant remember the last time I threw a ball down an alley, but as a pre-adolescent, I was in a junior bowling league. My team's name was the Orient Express. Cute, huh? Well, I finally came back to a bowling alley for the monthly Queer Bowling event at MBC. It was my first time here pretty packed. There are only six lanes, so each person was allowed to play for five frames. That was fine by me because I just wanted to see if my Orient Express prowess would return. It didn't. Maybe it was a myth. One gutterball followed another. However, the place itself was well designed, surprisingly sleek but with a nice retro vibe.Shoes and balls were both in good condition. I have to admit the best feature was the bar because five frames can really work up a thirst. OK, maybe I just wanted a drink. Speaking of which, the space is quite conducive to socializing if you're looking to meet new people. The combination of bowling and drinking can make for great bonding.RELATED - Exploring the Mission? Here's my collection of places I've patronized and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2NHtst6"

Osmanthus is the best. I rediscovered* it during the pandemic, primarily because it had a charming outdoor seating area, but it's become my regular spot for dim sum in SF. The staff is warm and professional, the dishes are delicious, the full bar is a nice perk, and the prices are really fair. Most of their classic dumplings are solid, but my weak spot is for their zong zi and their salted yolk sesame balls (daytime only for the latter).I've often ended up here with a large crew of friends (sometimes with reservations, sometimes not), and Osmanthus always manages to seat us quickly and take great care of us. *It's not that old but I used to go here years ago when it was Enrico's jazz bar: happy to say that Osmanthus still reflects the bohemian vibrance of SF (since I always end up there with artists and writers), just in a different way.

We were in the neighborhood looking for a bite to eat and came across Pausa. I'm so thankful that we found this cute spot with amazing ambiance. We've been back a few times now and always look forward to our next visit. If you can score a reservation, awesome. If not, there are usually seats at the bar. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Some of our fave dishes are their seasonal salads, butchers/cheese boards, and the margherita pizza. The pizza has been the highlight for us and we get it every single time. For awhile they had a mushroom side which I absolutely loved. Their menu rotates so it's hard to fall in love with something before it goes away! Haha. They have a full bar and their bartenders make excellent drinks. Street parking only.

Before hitting the Regency for a Sango concert this last Friday night my friend and I stopped in at Aliment. It was past busy, with a large party of about forty people in the back being served an array of cocktails, all tables in the front seating area were taken, and we were asked if we had a reservation. So, I say make a reservation here if going on the weekend. After a little more than five minutes my friend and I were sat at the bar, ordering cocktails but being told that the bartenders were catching up on a large order of cocktails for a large party. From their mocktail menu I ordered the Mock Trail. It was sparkling and perfectly flavored with ginger and turmeric for me. If you find ginger and lemon juice to be refreshing, try this. However, I do hate their straws. I get it I get it, save the turtles. I still hate the straws, but I live to see another day. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place deciding between the flank steak salad and the wild mushroom fettuccine. Having to choose is criminal, but I opted for the steak salad and my friend ordered the fettuccine with steak, medium. I, for one, loved my salad. Arugula has that peppery taste that is paired perfectly with steak, so I knew it would be a pleasant salad but I do have one bone to pick. My steak, though done medium well, was just a bit too charred for my taste. However, the Parmesan cheese and balsamic helped to soften the strong flavor of the char. I never want that type of char on a steak again though. The fettuccine was creamy, hearty and warm to the bone. We also ordered the Parmesan truffle fries and they are so delicious. To be frank, they remind me of the Patatas Bravas from 620 Jones down to the sauce they're served with. It isn't a matter of who did it first, but man, I love truffle anything and these fries were savory. Couldn't keep my hands out of the basket. Overall the ambiance is very busy, but the staff is friendly, inviting and attentive.Summarized Ranking (asterisks are stars)Mushroom Fettucine *****Grilled Flank Steak Salad ***Parmesan & Truffle Fries *****Mock Trail ****Service*****

We had a reservation for Valentine's Day and were taken care of promptly. We felt very accommodated and a great experience being served. Our server had a Polaroid camera and printed some photos to capture our special day. We hand the lamb shank, beets salad, lamb flatbread, and sirloin steak. All the flavors were very fresh with layers of tastiness!

Shoutout to Chloe for handling the reservation changes with such grace, and Maz for being the best server! Came here for my birthday dinner on Saturday and had such an amazing experience. We had a party of 8 and did the set menu called Ask Billy. Ask Billy has to be the best quality and quantity set menu I've ever had. The dishes legit felt never-ending and every dish was fresh and absolutely delicious. I can't recommend ordering the set menu enough if you're a big party; you can avoid making menu choices for everyone, and you can get a little bit of everything. They bring out the food on a shared plate if you're a larger party; for us it was 4 servings on each plate, and they also paired some courses together. I loved the serving style because it brought together upscale dining with Asian family-style eating. My god though, they really know how to feed you; everyone in my party was struggling by the end. The only thing I'd change about my experience is I would've loved to get a small menu with the set menu details, so we could appreciate the food more, and anticipate what to come.I'm so happy with my choice to dine at Bodega! I really wanted a memorable meal, and I got it. They had such warm service too; they put a candle on my dessert course and took a polaroid of me with it, which they handed to me at the end of our dinner dated for the memories!10/10 experience! Grateful for the good food and impeccable vibes, and can't wait to do it again.

Located centrally in downtown. Parking is a hit or miss, it's either metered parking or the parking garage. This place is easy to do walk in, but do recommend reservations for the weekend. Service is always amazing. I have eaten here multiple times being seated outside, in the dining area, and at the bar. The restaurant is really nice inside, the bar area is tastefully done. 5/5 - for the lumpia and garlic rice. The pandan old fashion is the best alcoholic dish there. Get the halo halo, it's done really well here. 3.5/5 - for the pancit and pork belly/tofu appetizer.Everything I have eaten here in the past has been relatively good. Recommend the pork knuckles. It's super crispy and the portion size is easily shared amongst 3-4 people.

Pricey bite with ambience just outside of Montgomery BART station. Good for a nice dinner with new coworkers or catch up with old friends. We ordered the mushroom pasta and ahi tartare with surprised me in a good way. Love their cocktails!!

I came here for dinner for my BiL's bday. The food presentation was mainstream, but was over seasoned. Restaurant isn't family friendly with broken straps on all the high chairs. Either one seat has ALL male clips or the other seat has ALL female clips. The San Mateo location is much better than the SF location. Music too loud to enjoy the meal.Worst of all at end of meal saw a cockroach crawling along the wall behind us while eating. Not very appetizing......

"Came here with a friend for brunch in late December and really enjoyed dining at Horsefeather during this very quiet time in San Francisco. The atrium was light-filled though it was a rainy day and service was attentive. The food was very good--the double cheeseburger hit the spot and my friend helped me eat my pile of fries. Would love to return for dinner and drinks!"
"Good food, small portions. We came on Valentines weekend, ordered oysters and French oinion soup for starters. My husband got the monkfish and I got the gnocchi. Both were good. Dessert was a raspberry bomb, which was nice."
"Definitely the bar to be at during the holidays (or all year round as a matter of fact!) They have an amazing holiday cocktail selection. I wanted to try every single thing on the menu! The Pumpkin Killer and the Aged Eggnog were the highlights for me. Unfortunately, the Tom & Jerry was not available. Apparently, it takes quite a bit of time to make and the staff were quite busy on a Friday night. The only thing I could potentially dock a star for was the inconsistency of the drinks. My friend and I had ordered two different drinks from one of the bartenders, and both our drinks tasted a bit strange/unbalanced (too much mint syrup in the Mistletoe Sour and too much sherry liqueur in the Añogo). Another one of our group members ordered the Mistletoe Sour and it tasted vastly different.Aside from that, loved the ambiance and the drinks!"
"Oh my goodness! This place was amazing! If we lived closer we would eat here all the time! Everything we ordered was so flavorful from the green beans with tofu to the tea leaf salad to the coconut rice. What I was especially impressed by was their tea leaf salad...I didn't expect a kale based salad but it was AMAZING and I was surprised to find that I even prefer it this way. Highly recommend!"

It had been a while since we got together, so decided to indulge and order whatever we wanted. I had heard great things about the duck, so that was my pick. It was tender and delicious. And that au jus was so flavorful. The charcuterie was plentiful and we had a good amount of variety. The only thing I didn't really care for was the steak since it was covered in bearnaise. But the temp on it was nice.Drinks wise, I'd skip the cocktails since they were just okay. We were happy with our two bottles of wine tho. We really weren't familiar with the wine list offerings so they said they'd send over the sommelier. For some reason, he wasn't showing up, so the server sent over three of their Chicken nuggets . caviar ranch. That ranch was delish! The sommelier eventually showed up and we made our selections.Fun spot to have a nice somewhat elaborate meal. Their portions are rather big, so better if you go in a bigger group. Otherwise, your bill will add up quickly.REVIEW #3423"
"We literally only had margaritas and paloma's and chips but the vibes were immaculate. Antonio as our server and was a sweet angel. He brought so much joy to our day and we felt transported to mexico with the music, patio, and flowers outside. 10/10 recommend a sunny Sunday here!"
"Absolutely delicious Italian food!! Super lively and fun, with colorful decor and loud music. Barbara is not the place you want to be for a quiet dinner with deep conversation, but if you're looking for dinner and yap, Barbara is it! Servers were very friendly (but seemed stressed so I hope they get more staff soon). I came in with very low expectations about the food but was blown away. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Italian-American cuisine. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but most Italian places I've been to have served me the blandest, most boring pizza and pasta. My friends wanted Italian so we came here since it was close to where we were hanging out in the city, and I'm so glad we did because if we didn't, I would still be a non-believer in pasta. Their tagliatelle salmone & zucchine (smoke salmon, zucchini, tomato cream sauce) is literally the best pasta I've ever had. It was sooooo flavorful -- noodles were perfectly chewy and the saltiness of the salmon paired so well with the milder tomato cream. Like I said, I didn't even like pasta before I tried this. Ugh, amazing, still think about this dish all the time.We split these appetizers:- Lentil soup which was the soup of the day: surprisingly very large portion sizes. I was expecting this tiny bowl of soup but you could honestly order this as an entree and be full. Good, but nothing noteworthy.- Brussels chips: couldn't get enough. I inhaled the whole bowl. Crispy and charred, which is how I like it.- Bruschetta: great starter, enough for large parties to share. - Caprese: standard tomato with mozzarella and EVO. My friends got the following entrees and they all raved about them:- Tagliatelle bolognese (parmesan, ground beef, tomato sauce)- Linguine al frutti di mare (calamari, clams, mussels, prawns in red sauce)- San Francisco pinsa/pizza (tomato sauce, spicy salami, Italian sausage, mozzarella, red onion). We weren't entirely sure what made this 'San Francisco' but it was great. We did come on an understandably busy Saturday night but it seems like they're slightly understaffed. The bathroom was a little dirty... Service was great but our server seemed stressed and the staff were running around trying to get to all the tables.Would def come again, especially for that salmon pasta. I just hope they get enough staff!"

"What may I say.... go see Maxwell. Does not disappoint. If the marker/goal post is wherever you put it... he will not only exceed but excel and surprise. The hostess was very busy during this holiday season. GIVE GRACE. And you'll get a welcome back. 8.25/10 and I just adore handing out a 10 in this economy"
"Nice neighborhood Italian restaurant! We booked a reservation a few days before and were seated promptly when we arrived. Parking is a bit of a nightmare (surprise surprise!), so try to arrive a bit early to account for that.We started off with 3 appetizers. The Farro salad was really refreshing, the Arancini were tasty and filled with melty cheese and a creamy sauce, and the meatballs were so smooth and flavorful--one of the best meatballs I've had!The Funghi pie and the NYC pepperoni pizza were not bad, nothing super memorable, though. My only gripe with the pepperoni pizza is that the dispersement of the pepperoni was not well executed. You can see in the picture that most of the pepperoni got placed on 1/2 the pizza which meant some people did not get much pepperoni on their slice :( And sadly... I was that person who only got 2 pieces of pepperoni *crying face*We also ordered 2 pastas: the Bolognese and the Vodka Diavolo. My mom really enjoyed the Bolognese and the rest of us really enjoyed the Vodka Diavolo! And lastly, we ordered the Tiramisu and Ricotta cake. Just a warning, the Tiramisu lady fingers were hard--we weren't expecting to feel resistance when cutting it with our spoons! But when we asked the waitress she explained that it was supposed to be flaky and not super soft. So that was nice to know.Overall, it was a nice dining experience with attentive and kind serving staff, and good food!"
"Full disclosure: we took advantage of their free brunch promo today only. And we came for brunch last weekend because we had a gift certificate, and before that it was probably a few years between visits. But we really need to come more often. At our previous visit we had the Sixteen Mile Deviled Eggs to start and each egg had a different fun little protein topping. I loved the one with steak and the smoked salmon. Presentation was lovely.Today we ordered the Swedish pancake starter. There was a berry syrup drizzle which was not my kind of thing, too candy-like, but my husband liked it. The lingonberry butter was very nice.My husband got their Kobe Loco Moco both visits because it was so delicious. The Kobe patty was cooked perfectly. The gravy was amazing; I kept trying to figure out what made it so good--maybe a French onion kind of flavor? So deeply beefy with notes of caramelized onion. Last visit I got Sixteen Benedict, because filet mignon is always a good choice, which was good in theory. I thought the sauce was too thick but the flavor was good. The little bit of sprouts on top helped balance the richness but I would've enjoyed more sprouts or greens to balance. The side dish was tater tots and they were very crispy. Today I had Stable Steak & Eggs because I love steak. The 6 oz ribeye was perfectly char grilled. I could've used some seasoning. Eggs were good. Tater tots were consistently crispy and tasty. Both times, I took home most of my tots and my daughter immediately devoured them.My husband had to take home half of his loco moco each time because it was a huge quantity. And he actually ate the leftovers, which is a big deal because he usually forgets about his restaurant leftovers and doesn't eat them.To summarize, the star is definitely Kobe Loco Moco. Everything else is good, but I can't get that Loco Moco out of my head."
"This review is for our visit Dec 2024. It was our traditional family gathering and having Portuguese in the fam, we wanted to try this place. To play it safe, we made reservations. We were greeted and seated. Ambience was nice and cozy. Parking may be a bit of a challenge. Be patient, you'll find one. Food was delicious. For appetizers we gambas and bacalhau fritter. Loved both dishes. Definitely will come back and order these again. 2 of us ordered the Bacalhau entree. I was a little disappointed that it was too salty for my taste because I don't cook w salt. It was still good but asking chef to lessen salt or if using dried cod, soak longer Franco was cooked just right. The seafood dish was delicious and I will definitely order this next time. All desserts were sweet but indulging from time to time is ok. All in all we had a great experience. We will definitely be coming back. Enjoy!"
"Love this place - my favorite neighborhood bar for drinks and great food :)Love their quesadillas and they do serve an amazing guacamole. Drinks are great and diverse ."
"I came here with my boyfriend and his brother yesterday afternoon. We came around 4pm so it wasn't too busy but picked up when we left. The place is cute with a lot of neon light decoration and gaming memorabilia. There's games and tables in the front and in the back so you can choose where to sit, first come first serve. Luckily we were able to snag a table! Ordering food and drinks were a breeze. You order at the main bar for both. The bartenders were super friendly and nice. I enjoyed my piña colada, while the guys mentioned they didn't have many beer options which was a bummer. The food menu consisted of Asian fusion dishes. I was excited to try them but it was kind of disappointing. I ordered the longganisa corn dogs and my boyfriend got the grilled chicken brunch bowl. The corn dogs were both too salty and lacked flavor. The sauce had a nice acidity from the calamansi but I couldn't really taste the sweetness from the longganisa to balance it out. My bf just mentioned the chicken bowl isn't what he expected. While they had quite a few games, many were out of order (as well as the ATM and one token machine). One skee ball lane wasn't accepting the coins and they only have one basketball hoop so we were rotating and couldn't compete with each other. I like the option to do board games for people who aren't super into arcades. We had started playing scrabble and then got to my FAVORITE part - Mario Kart!!! I've had an MK itch for a while and we got to play on the big screen."
"The Garden Court Luxury Collection Restaurant inside the Palace Hotel at Montgomery Street in San Francisco. It is recognized as one of the most beautiful public places in the world with its hostorical glass domed atrium, italian marble columns, and Austrian crystal chandeliers. With live music serenading you, it has a cozy and romantic atmosphere. It is the most luxurious high tea that San Francisco has to offer, with tea rooms and one of a kind experiences. They also have the popular classic eat all you can Sunday Brunch Buffet. Its a bit pricey and the food and service is just decent, so don't expect much. Maybe just enjoy the view, the place and the experience."
"Lark had been on my list for quite a while and finally got to try it. It is a small place and located in Mission close to Valencia street , so this area has lots of interesting places to eat. Really nice decor and ambience and so this would be a nice date night place. We tried the vegetarian appetizer sampler 'Pikilia' which was a great way to try all the appetizers and every tasted nice. We then go the 'Rodakino Rocca' without the prosciutto . It was nice but wish the ratio of arugula to other ingredients was more balanced. I also go the 'Wa Penduka' drink which was nice as well"
"If you haven't been able to visit yet, it's about time you took a spin with SPIN! I was the lucky +1 for a corporate event held here and I was impressed! The space was trendy and spacious, perfect for a gathering of the scale we were having. The food was also pretty tasty as well, although I am unclear if this was outside catering or SPIN's own. When the conversation hits a lull with colleagues, there was the option for fun with ping pong, arcade games, and more! My only complaint was I wish there were more seating amenable to eating - it was a little clumsy to try to eat off a bar table. Otherwise, I'd be back here for more ping pong and good times!"
"Doc's Clock is a San Francisco institution. It's dark, divey and is like a comfy living room for locals and tourists alike."
"Food was fresh, made well. No issues with that. Flavor was ok, pasta al dente for sure. The service was ok- they forgot drinks, items were made wrong. Not fun to deal with that. But servers were friendly and keeping water cups full. Made a reservation for a weeknight because it was a good meeting location for our group coming from different areas. Unfortunately we were sat in the back near a large party with about 5-6 kids and 5 adults who were allowing the kids to run in and out of the restaurant the whole time. It was not a peaceful dinner whatsoever. Not sure I'd go back just yet."
"This place is great! I was having a super long day and they went out to their way to accommodate me. They have really good options for vegetarians and a cozy vibe. A little fireplace in the back but TV's over the bar so you can watch whatever game is currently live. The staff was also super friendly. Great neighborhood spot!!"
"To all the real ones who know--Camper's brunch is BACK, and I couldn't be happier! This downtown Menlo Park staple is serving up more chances to enjoy their incredible food, and trust me, it's worth it.There isn't a lot of brunch photos for camper online so allow me to feed your eyes with the me documenting our satisfying brunch.Came hungry and majorly craving carbs, so my girl friend and I went all in--Logan's Orange + Currant Scones for her, Challah French toast for me. Her scones? Warm. Flaky--paired with fresh butter that gave such a buttery finish to every bite. She wasn't super hungry, so the "on the side" menu was perfect. Love that they offer that option. Me on the other hand? I was ravenous. LET ME TELL YOU--the Challah French toast was life-changing. A thick, buttery slab of challah, cooked perfectly, ridiculously satisfying to cut and bite into, and topped with macadamia nut butter that added just the right nuttiness and umami. I can't even describe in words how good it was, no words would do it justice, you'd have to try it for yourself. Shoutout to our server and the kitchen for the amazing service and accommodating my request to swap the apples for strawberries. I'm 100% sure those apples would've been amazing, but sadly, my gut does not agree.Thought I'd still be starving, but that French toast was actually the perfect level of satisfying. Took my chicken apple sausages for family to enjoy; I'm already dreaming of my next French toast bite. Service? A+. Ambiance? Perfect for a girly brunch. Plus, downtown Menlo Park has easy parking (a rare win for downtowns) and is just 8 minutes from Palo Alto Shopping Center if you want to make a day of it.TL;DR: Brunch at Camper is back! Please make a reservation on OpenTable and enjoy a nice brunch solo or with someone. Their hours aren't updated online-- but know that brunch is back. Get the French toast. Thank me later."
