IT'S NATIONAL PIZZA DAY!I've been wanting to pop into Jimmy & Joe's Pizzeria for a minute. They've won so many awards, even from the Phoenix New Times! They run a great lunch special from 11AM - 2PM. I got the #2 - $11.49 for a serious slice and six wings. I got sausage on my pizza and my wings with Joe's sauce and blue cheese dip. I also ordered some bacon ranch fries with jalapeños because why not? While I gotta be honest and say the fries weren't worth the price tag (and that $1 for jalapeños will only get you a few rings), the pizza and wings here are good! Those wings will have you going back for more. As a flats lover, I'm not mad about having five flats out of six but you drums lovers might be sad. As for the pizza, yummo! It's not fancy or artisan but you know what you're getting. Sometimes a nice NY slice is all you want and that is a-okay with me!The guy running the counter, Joey, is amazing. He's harming, funny, and super friendly! Now get over here and say hello to this guy while eating some good eats!"

"I recently visited Ava bakery and was impressed with the quality of their halim. The flavor was rich and the texture was just right - not too soft and not too chewy. However, I do have to say that the prices for their halim were a bit steep. While I understand that good quality ingredients come at a cost, I couldn't help feeling like I was paying a premium for the convenience of being able to purchase halim in AZ.Despite the higher prices, I would still recommend Ava bakery for their delicious halim. Just be prepared to pay a little bit more than you might at other places. Overall, I had a great experience at Ava bakery and would visit again.Seating areas are very limited so keep in mind to make a reservation a head of time!"

"Flavors of the froyo are hit and miss. For me, mostly miss. The only flavor I truly liked was the pomegranate raspberry. Strong flavor that did not melt quickly. Even eating inside, our other flavors were melty less than half the through eating them. The Hawaiian pineapple was lightly flavored, but mostly tasted like coconut. The cheesecake, that I hoped would cleanse the flavor from my mouth only amplified it. My daughter liked the pomegranate raspberry and the strawberry. She did not care for the other flavors she got. While the yogurt flavor choices are on the small side, there is an extensive topping selection.. Toppings were all filled. My youngest on the other hand liked everything. Price was on the high side. Between that and not particularly enjoying their yogurt I probably would not return. This is the first yogurt place that I have ever been to that I haven't really liked the yogurt. It's an unsettling feeling. The guy working the register greeted us with upon entry. He was efficient when ringing us up. He was stocking things when we left."

"Dee-licious Jordanian food!I love that Scottsdale has so many choices of places to eat. De Babel would be one I would consider to be near the top of my list. It's moderately priced, outstanding food, and some beautiful food. You will walk away full, satisfied, and looking forward to more food to eat the next day. It's very family friendly, too.The pita pockets are obviously handmade, thicker than I am accustomed to, and filled with good stuff: your choice of meat, cucumber, tomato, pickle. Several members of our family went with gyros meat. I picked one filled with grilled halloumi. We were all very pleased.The fries are beyond heavenly. Not only are they their own fresh cut potatoes, they are seasoned beautifully. We got two side orders of fries and could not keep our jaws from dropping when they arrived. Super crispy. Huge. One of the orders was the amazing truffle cheese fries. These are beyond reproach. All in all, two orders were more than 6 of us could finish, even though we tried hard. But yes, get them anyway! And definitely bring them home for a second and even a third chance.We ordered a mixed sampler, the Mixed Mezza, a beautiful, generous platter, which came with hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, and pickles. The baba ganoush was so smoky good, the stuffed grapeleaves were moist and flavorful. We added a side of okra that made me giddy. It is stewed with tomatoes, garlic, and cilantro until very tender. I need to remember to cook it that way at home now that I tasted it.The only thing that I regret was not getting to taste the fried cauliflower and their crispy za'atar pita chips. Well, I guess lamb and lentil soup might have to be in consideration, too. I guess that is for when we come back, which indeed we will!"

"Had the chance to finally try Kawaii sushi last Friday night and it was really good. We tried a variety of sushi rolls, California, Philadelphia, Sunset, Autumn and C-4. They were yummy and we devoured everything. My husband was also excited to get an Orion beer (they are brewed in Okinawa Japan and imported). Service was great, the servers were very attentive. The place did start to pickup greatly once 6pm came so we were glad we arrived earlier. The decor is subtle and nice. The pricing was a bit high but we knew the costs for what we ordered. With tax and tip we spent a little over $90."

"Such a cute spot. The food is so good! You enter thru disco dragon. They use a button to let u go thru the door of fypm. I got the short rib bun and it was delicious! Lets cheat on the first day of the year. So I ordered the Gila Fries. It's chili Verde on top of their fries. This was an outstanding meal. I also had their chicken hot wings. This came with 10 wings, I ended up only eating just five, since I had the gila fries. Now the fries is prepared and cooked different here. With the chili on top of the crunchy fries, this was really great. The wings were excellent, I had them dry, with no sauce. Plenty of meat on the bone. Overall we had a good time, great meal, and great service."

We ordered the XL Quesorizo, a LG chicken and bacon, 8 wings with lime pepper and honey hot, queso stix, and a Bavarian cream filled churro. The food is awesome and the employees were so nice! "So glad Jersey Mike's made its way to Anthem! I would get Jersey Mike's all the time when I lived in Chicago and they are just as good at this location. So many options, flavors, for anyone's liking. Great for catering too! Store was more modern than others which was nice and of course the food was phenomenal. I usually get a mini and that fills me up but again they have plenty of options. Staff was lacking customer service which is the reason for the 4-Star review. They were all talking to each other about their personal lives and interrupted me mid order to continue their conversation. Not a big deal but for a new location customer service should be straight forward. Can't wait to order from them in the future!"

"I was craving some Ramen for a cold winter afternoon and realized I had never tried this place. Went ahead and ordered their house special. The base is pork broth and I ordered shrimp for meat. The food arrived hot. This place has the best packing I have seen. The ramen was on the top and miso broth at the bottom. No leaks, so well presented like in restaurant and looked fantastic. I couldn't wait to indulge and the first bite, oh so yummm. The flavors, the ramen, shrimp, soy beans, everything blended well and tasted amazing. I just kept covering my face with the food. It was one of the best ramen I have had in recent times. The price is reasonable and the food fantastic. I would highly recommend and I have found my go to place."

"I was craving a hot dish and had heard of this spot so I decided to try them out. It was easy ordering off of their website and they provide updates via text or email which is convenient. My food was ready earlier than quoted which is a nice surprise. I parked and went inside to grab my food and noticed several other takeout bags at the counter as well as several people dining in. They have a sauce station which is neat so I took soy sauce and sweet & sour packets, as well as sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. I ordered the large spicy teriyaki chicken and it was tasty. Lots of chicken and I liked the sauce. I would like to try their yakisoba noodles as well as dishes with veggies next time. Hope to be back!"

"Love Yama and just came for our second time. They have a special appetizer right now called Chicken Karaage and it's amazing. The sushi is consistently delicious and the service is so great. Our faves are the Lollipop roll and Tuna Lover. We also love their entrees. The short ribs are particularly awesome and our kids like the Orange Chicken."

"This little food truck from heaven has been parked across from Driftwood coffee in downtown Peoria. EVERYTHING we have had from this food truck has been perfection. A few are pictured here and others we have tried not pictured are breakfast burrito, berry shortcake, Bronx battleship. My favorite thing is the ranger roll. It's the stuffing from a crab puff with REAL crab! It's literally heaven served up with a sweet chili sauce. The kids said the Mac n cheese was the best they have had and their battleship could feed an army. It's legit a sandwich on a whole loaf of French bread! The owner is super friendly and really has something good going here. Come out and support a local small business!"

"Who knew that there was a middle eastern mecca right down the street. I now know where to get my goat, bulgur, egyptian yogurt and oh so much more. Owned by a cute little lady who dreams of expanding and growing her own arabian kingdom , she was fun to talk to and find about her plans for her "corner". I loved checking out the grains and beans, I bet I could make an awesome bean soup with some of these treasures. I am sure I will be back for red lentils. I also was jazzed to find a 4lb bag of split peas for only 2.00 ...screaming deal. Anybody know what to do with pressed apricot ? It was inexpensive and seemed "cool" but not sure how to use it. They also had interesting spices , grains and ,taa daa ,various filo doughs and puffed pastry ...something I have had to go out of my way to buy before. I wished they had fresh produce but oh well. I am very curious about the new restaurant next door to be called Ali Baba's . I am sure it will be an adventure too."

"SanTan was a part of my "forgotten " series of breweries that I have had. Thankfully my notes had this brewery and the details with my experience there. To my defense I believe it's related to a phone of mine getting destroyed so tge information about the visit went with that. Well, better late than never I suppose. For SanTan Brewing I had the Epicenter Amber Ale, a refreshing beer to be sure. Flavor features with this beer are malty, sweet and hoppy. The beer is smooth and light in body. A good amber ale to enjoy, that is for sure!"

"What a neat little bar/restaurant tucked inside an old hotel. It was easy to find and the entrance is through the hotel, in case you're looking for a door on the outside.I was in for a quick lunch and ordered a margarita and some shrimp tacos. The margarita was good but a bit small. The shrimp tacos were delicious and also small, but they gave you 4 of them which was nice. They had a nice flavor!The place is small, so I wouldn't plan on going with a large group. But for a quick lunch at the bar, I was in and out in no time. And with tacos in my belly!"

"We were in the Mayo Clinic area craving good Indian food. Found this amazing place! Dalbir was awesome, gave us some great recommendations. We were looking for something light. We tired samosa chaat, chole bhature and vada pav. Everything was absolutely delicious!I loved the Indian music they were playing, reminded me of my high school days.Very clean restrooms, something you don't get to see in Indian restaurants. "I love coming to Lucy's for breakfast. It family run and everyone is super friendly. Lucy's is located in one of the Fountainhead complex office buildings. Each of these buildings has something to offer, but Lucy's may be the overall best. What makes them special and above the rest, is something so simple and very basic. They actually cook your food and fry your eggs et cetera, as you wait. Nothing is premade. Everything is fresh from scratch and everything tastes good. NIce!I also need to sing their praises of their coffee. Whether it's their drip, or specialty coffee drinks, everything is delicious. I've been coming here for eight months and I have never had a bad meal. I would energetically recommend them to anyone who lives or works in the area. Enjoy!"

"My group and I came here after Harumi and we were seated right away. At the time, there was only a table of two in there. The entrance and interior is really pretty. I've been here once before about 2 years ago and remembered liking the drinks last time. They have some small bites on their menu but if you're super hungry and looking for something more filling, maybe eat somewhere else first. Our orders: Terminus $20 - a creamy, tropical flavored drink. The banana flavor was a bit strong but still good overall! I tend to choose the drink with coconut milk. Harvest Essence $17 - a smoky mezcal drink. My friend said it was goodTake a Stroll x2 $15 - light and refreshing. They loved itTequila Blanco w/ Sprite $14 - one friend switched to her usual for her 2nd round drinkNice vibe and ambiance. Bartender was nice and attentive. "Service was great - helpful as it was our first time visiting and generous! Also they took credit card and Apple/google pay! Food - fire. Which is the most important piece of course. We wanted to try it all so we did quesibirria, steak quesadilla and carne asada quesadilla (which surprised us with pineapples in it! Super flavorful)! All were super tasty and we each actually chose different 1s of the 3 as our favorites. There is parking in the lot, as well as tables under a shade for if you want to eat there at the truck. It is also much warmer in the tavern than on the bleachers! ;) They recently hired a new addition to the team (I totally forget his name, darn!) and he is willing to whip up anything that your heart desires; homemade salad dressings, loaded fries--which are amazing might I add!, wings, etc. He even offered to muddle some cucumber into my gin and tonic for a light and refreshing twist! "I love that this neighborhood favorite still has a great vibe. The wine list isn't as extensive as it once was, but still some nice selections. Happy hour includes several food options. On this visit, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the extra crispy honey hot wings. This is kind of our standard order and then sometimes we also order the meatballs trio to share if we're still feeling a little peckish. Great lighting, friendly staff, consistently generous portions for the price."

"A no frills convenience store that happens to sell sushi rolls on the side. Big emphasis on the express element as my order has always been completed within 10 minutes. Although the takeout experience has been easy, there is an up charge with DoorDash so I suggest ordering in person if possible.=ORDERED=*Tuna Mayo Kimbap: my least favorite roll of the three. The tuna filing was grainy and bland. More mayonnaise would have given some much needed moisture and binding. The egg and pickled radish were dried out so they didn't contribute the usual sweetness. *Yellowtail Roll (6 pcs): heavier on the rice compared to the cut of yellowtail. Still I enjoyed the classic fattiness that went well with the vinegary rice. Although the presentation was rough, taste was decent. *Tuna Roll (6 pcs): shared the same shoddy presentation but somehow had even stranger cuts of fish. The ends had an itty piece of tuna while the center pieces contained two chunks. While it tasted fine, consistency would have been appreciated. Not my favorite sushi spot in Gilbert but it's definitely efficient during lunch hours. They offered various instant noodle options and toppings for those wanting an even faster meal. The pricing was reasonable so I hope the consistency improves so this can be better than 3 stars."
